GUIDELINES TO ETHICS IN DRESSINGS AND PRESENTATION AT
WORK IN WUC
INTRODUCTION
Widad University College academic staff dress code policy or business attire is designed to help
us all provide a consistent professional appearance to our students and colleagues. Our
appearance reflects on ourselves and the institution. The goal is to be sure that we maintain a
positive appearance and not to offend students, our administrators, or colleagues.
We will make a good impression and send a message to our bosses, students and colleagues by
presenting ourselves in the best light and wearing the appropriate attire. We will cultivate this
as our image of professionalism and dedication.
Widad University College academic staff must always present a clean, professional appearance.
Everyone is expected to be well-groomed and wear clean clothing, free of holes, tears, or other
signs of wear attire unless the day’s tasks require otherwise.
THE DRESSINGS
WUC has adopted several types of dressings that suits the University environment. These are
the proposed guidelines of dressings selected for daily presentation at workplaces in WUC;

College. This should be used smartly with appropriate pants and shoes.

that will not hinder sports activities is allowed.

Who does this policy apply to?
The Widad University College academic staff dress code policy applies to all academic staff
and academic supporting staff.
Dress Code Violations:
Deans or Deputy Deans are expected to inform Widad University College academic staff
members when they are violating the dress code. Widad University College academic staff
members in violation are expected to immediately correct the issue. This may include having
to leave work to change clothes.
Repeated violations or violations that have major repercussions may result in disciplinary
action being taken up to and including termination.
