As discussed and proposed for this course DJF21012, to consider to include items as
follows;
In the assessment part CL03:
a. To consider to include the Teaching method presentation & Discussion
b. To increase the percentage from 10% to 15% for the introduction and demonstration of HSSE subject.
For the content syllabus under the TIG/MIG to also introduce the welding inspection course as this trades
is critical and highly sought in the market/industry currently.

I'm not sure about current practice in Politeknik Malaysia, but recall back my previous
experience, scoring for subject that have lab practice are divided by 60% practical
+ 40% theory. Its good if we have fair division of 50% practical + 50% theory.

In Politeknik environment, there're students that good in theory and some good in practical.
Also, the lecturer have KPI to have all their students passed the subject and sometimes,
playing favouritism.
I noticed this was happened in my previous experince during attending Politeknik and
Universiti. So the proposal here is get another lecturer to give score instead of the same
lecturer who's teaching the course. I saw some universiti also start doing this already and
hand out feedback form as well to students to rate the teaching programme and lecturer.
With this, we can improve both students and lecturer and fairly rate

This is the good subject and basically what's in CLO are already covered half of industry's
requirement.
No further comment or improvement required. However, we may asked students to
have a small mini project corresponding to this subject.
