Congratulations to the Department of Commerce Polytechnic Kota Kinabalu for the initiative and
continuation of this program. Sabah certainly need more skilled workforce in logistics and supply chain
management to further improve its efficiency and effectiveness in the industry. It is indeed a wise move to regularly
obtain feedback from the industry as part of the strategy to enhance the course contents and maintain its relevancy to the
logistics industry.
I would like to recommend the following joint-venture/collaboration projects between UiTM and Polytechnic:
1. The role of Supply Chain Management in rejuvenating Sabah's post pandemic economy
2. Efficient Supply Chain Management for seasonal fruits in Sabah - reducing wastage and maximising
revenue for fruit growers / farmers
3. To create Logistics Club in UiTM for further collaboration and SULAM based projects

1. Use gamification techniques to increase students' participation
2. Ask students to do a brief presentation on how they see the future of the transportation industry in Sabah

I. PERUTUSAN PENGERUSI
1. Kata alu-aluan
Ketua Jabatan mengucapkan selamat datang dan berterima kasih di atas kesudian
para pensyarah dan panel penasihat program DHM yang hadir ke mesyuarat.
Ketua Jabatan memperkenalkan semua ahli mesyuarat yang hadir.

2. Pengerusi memaklumkan tujuan mesyuarat iaitu membincangkan kurikulum serta
mendapatkan maklumbalas daripada pihak panel penasihat bagi 2 kursus teras
disiplin Program DHM iaitu DTA20014 Basic Food Preparation dan DTA20093 Food
and Beverage Service. Perbincangan dan maklumbalas ini diperlukan bagi
penambahbaikan dan pembangunan silibus bagi subjek tersebut. Pengerusi turut
memaklumkan tentatif mesyuarat pada kali ini serta tatacara pengendalian
mesyuarat secara atas talian kepada pihak panel.

3. Pengerusi memberi penerangan berkaitan Programe Learning Outcome (PLO) yang
perlu dicapai oleh pelajar di akhir kursus. Penilaian ini dibuat dengan merangkumi
taksonomi seperti Cognitive, Psychomotor dan Affective. Selain itu, pengerusi turut
membentangkan analisa pencapaian CLO bagi sesi Disember 2020 bagi kursus
DTA20093 dan DTA20014.

II. PEMBENTANGAN KURIKULUM DTA20014 BASIC FOOD PREPARATION
4. Encik Danil Bin Jazmi membentangkan kurikulum bagi kursus DTA20014 Basic Food
Preparation. Antara hasil pembentangan daripada Encik Danil adalah seperti
berikut:
4.1 Secara amnya, subjek ini mengandungi bahagian teori yang membincangkan
tentang prinsip penyediaan makanan dan juga praktikal melalui kemahiran
dalam pemilihan, penyediaan dan persembahan hasil produk makanan.
4.2 Kursus ini tidak mengandungi Penilaian Akhir dan semua penilaian diuji
secara Penilaian Berterusan (PB). Kursus ini mengandungi tujuh (7) Penilaian
Berterusan seperti satu (1) Penilaian Teori dan enam (6) Kerja Praktikal.

III. MAKLUM BALAS DARIPADA PANEL
5. Cadangan dan maklumbalas daripada panel, Cik Shazulyssa Sharun:
5.1 Keseluruhan kandungan silibus DTA20014 Basic Food Preparation adalah
sesuai kerana kedua – dua bahagian teori dan praktikal ada diajar.
5.2 Selain itu, panel juga berpendapat bahawa topik yang di ajar juga berkaitan
dengan situasi semasa di industri.
5.3 Panel juga berkongsi ilmu tentang amalan terkini di industri berkaitan label
keselamatan makanan dan penggunaan peralatan oven terkini di industri.

6.1 Secara keseluruhannya beliau bersetuju kursus ini lebih banyak di
laksanakan secara hands-on di dalam tugasan dan sesi Pembelajaran &
Pengajaran di Politeknik Kota Kinabalu kerana ia memerlukan kemahiran
berterusan dan membina tahap keyakinan diri pelajar.

7. Encik Fredoline Galambun membentangkan kurikulum bagi kursus DTA20093 Food
And Beverage Service. Antara hasil pembentangan daripada Encik Fredoline adalah
seperti berikut:
7.1 Kursus yang dibincangkan merupakan kursus baharu yang diajar pada

pertama kali diajar pada semester Disember 2020.
7.2 Secara amnya, kursus ini tiada Penilaian Akhir (PA) dan penilaian
dilaksanakan melalui Penilaian Berterusan (PB). Penilaian Berterusan (PB)
dilaksanakan dengan beberapa kaedah seperti kuiz, Ujian teori, kerja
praktikal, Ujian praktikal dan portfolio.

V. MAKLUM BALAS DARIPADA PANEL
8. Cadangan dan maklumbalas daripada panel, Cik Shazulyssa Sharun:
8.1 Panel mencadangkan agar pensyarah menggalakan pelajar bekerja secara
‘part time’ di industri pada hujung minggu atau cuti semester bagi
mengumpul pengalaman dan memahami situasi sebenar di industri. Ini
membuatkan pelajar lebih memahami subjek yang diajar dengan baik.
9. Cadangan dan maklumbalas daripada panel, Encik Edrin Rosley:
9.1 En.Edrin memberi idea agar dapat diadakan aktiviti Kerjasama seperti mini
pertandingan boleh dilaksakan untuk membantu pelajar meningkatkan
keyakinan diri dan pendedahan kepada pihak luar. Aktiviti ini boleh dibuat
dengan Kerjasama UiTM, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu dan Industri.
9.2 Selain itu, panel juga mencadangkan agar ‘Barista’ juga boleh di masukkan
di dalam kandungan kursus kerana ia merupakan trend terkini bagi Food and
Beverage Service.
10. Cadangan dan maklumbalas daripada panel, Encik Radji Ali:
10.1 Panel mencadangkan agar lebih banyak penilaian di buat secara praktikal
berbanding penilaian teori kerana kemahiran itu sangat membantu pelajar
ketika berada di industri.
10.2 Perkongsian ilmu oleh panel tentang amalan norma baru dalam Food and
Beverage Industriy ketika pendamik Covid-19 melanda Malaysia.

VI. RUMUSAN PERBINCANGAN
6. Kesemua panel bersetuju bahawa kursus-kursus ini perlu lebih banyak pendedahan
latihan praktikal agar dapat meningkatkan kefahaman dan keyakinan diri pelajar
sebagai persiapan diri sebelum langkah ke industri yang sebenar.
7. Kandungan kursus ini yang memberi pengetahuan dan mengaplikasi kemahiran
sangat bersesuaian dengan kehendak dan keperluan industri.
