T he presence of Santo Borromeus Hospital in the
midst of the people of Bumi Parahyangan is truly
felt, because of the compassionate spirit of love
that always realized. That spirit has been throbbing since
the presence of the sisters who pioneered this work,
carrying the same spirit that was lived by its predecessor,
Mother Elisabeth Gruyters. The spirit is strived to
continue the passion that drives service in every line.
ICARE is expected not only to be spoken, but to penetrate
the deepest recesses of the soul, which is ingrained and
firmly entrenched in the hearts of all apostolic partners,
from nurses, doctors to management, resulting in excellent
service to patients and the community.

Since a century ago, Santo Borromeus Hospital stands
on the foundation of universal values that promote
respect for human beings and uphold their dignity. Patients
are guests of God. God Himself is present in the suffering
of others who deserve to be treated with respect and love.
People who are sick and suffered need harmonious care
of hearts, thoughts, actions and words to help them
recover quickly. For this reason, the noble values of the
founder, Mother Elisabeth Gruyters and the patroness of
the Congregation of Saint Carolus Borromeus, must be
maintained so that they always pulsate within this service
of love. It is necessary to develop and to advance through
times, but noble values that underlie this work of loving
service must persist, even be planted like roots that
strengthen its existence. ICARE’s foundation is an
experience of being personally loved by God. This
experience of being loved is what we want to share in our
work for others. When this spirit is truly actualized, it will
surely make everyone feel loved. If a person can work
happily and calmly, then that feeling will be shared to
others.

Sejak seabad yang lalu hingga saat ini, Rumah Sakit Santo
Borromeus berdiri di atas fondasi nilai-nilai universal yang
mengedepankan penghormatan kepada manusia dan menjunjung
martabatnya. Pasien adalah tamu Illahi, Allah sendiri yang hadir dalam
diri sesama yang menderita yang selayaknya dilayani secara hormat dan
penuh kasih. Sesama yang sedang sakit dan menderita membutuhkan
hati, pikiran, tindakan dan kata-kata yang harmonis untuk
membantunya segera pulih. Untuk itulah, nilai-nilai luhur pendiri
Bunda Elisabeth Gruyters dan pelindung kongregasi St.Carolus
Borromeus, harus tetap dijaga agar selalu berdenyut menghidupkan
pelayanan kasih ini. Berkembang dan maju menyesuaikan kebutuhan
zaman itu perlu, tetapi nilai-nilai luhur yang mendasari karya pelayanan
kasih ini harus tetap bertahan, bahkan tertanam bagaikan akar yang
memperkokoh eksistensinya. Fondasi ICARE tak lain dan tak bukan
adalah pengalaman dicintai secara pribadi oleh Allah. Pengalaman
dicintai inilah yang ingin dibagikan dalam karya bagi sesama. Ketika ini
semua sungguh dihidupi, niscaya akan membuat semua orang saling
merasa dicintai. Jika seseorang bisa bekerja dengan bahagia dan tenang,
maka itulah yang akan dia bagikan kepada orang lain.

Seabad lamanya Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus tangguh berlayar dan 151
tetap mengarahkan haluan sesuai nilai-nilai dasar organisasi di tengah
arus zaman. Predikat akreditasi nasional dan internasional yang diraih
berkat kompetensi pelayanannya yang andal merupakan buah panenan
dari pohon subur yang berakar kuat dalam semangat cinta kasih yang
berbela rasa yang mendayai karya ini sejak awal kehadirannya. ICARE
adalah jantung yang memompa gairah pelayanan bagi para tamu Illahi
yang dipercayakan Tuhan untuk dilayani. Menyalakan api cinta Ilahi yang
menghangatkan kebekuan penderitaan sesama. Maka, semua pribadi
yang terlibat dalam karya pelayanan kesehatan di Rumah Sakit Santo
Borromeus menjadikan ICARE sebagai napas hidupnya dalam
menjawab panggilan Tuhan untuk terlibat dalam karya pelayanan
kesehatan ini.

Sebagai tanda persatuan dengan Tuhan, Sang Sumber, setiap memulai
aktivitas, segenap mitra kerasulan di Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus
mengawalinya dengan doa agar Tuhan sendiri yang mendayai setiap
upaya demi keselamatan sesama.

Time goes by, the sisters who pioneered the work also inherited to
the new generation. The same applies to apostolic partners who are
involved in this work of healthcare. However, the same spirit still pumps
passion, revives the values of love and compassion which continue to
be manifested, and touches the people being served.

For a century, Santo Borromeus Hospital has been strong in sailing
and directing its course according to the principle values of the
organization in the midst of the times. The national and international
accreditation that achieved due to its reliable service competence is the
fruit of compassionate love that has powered this work since the
beginning of its existence. ICARE is the heart that pumps the passion
of service for the divine guests who are entrusted by God to be served.
Igniting the fire of divine love warms the suffering of others. As a
result, all the individuals involved in the work at the Santo Borromeus
Hospital make ICARE to be their breath of life in responding to God’s
call to be involved in their health care.

Fasilitas pelayanan merupakan sarana yang dianugerahkan Tuhan agar
rumah sakit dapat mencapai tujuannya yang utama, yakni keselamatan
sesama. Oleh sebab itu, maka fasilitas apa pun yang digunakan dalam
penyelenggaraan karya pelayanan kesehatan selalu dipersembahkan
kepada Tuhan agar menjadi berkat bagi sesama yang dilayani. Doa
bersama memohon penyertaan dan berkat Tuhan sebelum memanfaatkan
segala fasilitas pelayanan menjadi bentuk-bentuk sederhana yang dihayati
dalam iman oleh seluruh pelayan kesehatan rumah sakit. Doa ini untuk
menyatukan seluruh aktivitasnya sebagai wujud ambil bagian dalam karya
keselamatan Tuhan bagi manusia sehingga di bawah terang Roh Kudus
semua bekerja bersama melayani sesama.

Keselamatan jiwa-jiwa adalah prioritas dan terus diperjuangkan di
lingkungan Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus. Tuhan yang memercayakan
perawatan sesama yang menderita untuk dirawat di Rumah Sakit Santo
Borromeus, maka Ia pulalah yang akan membekali setiap pelayan
kesehatan dengan apa pun yang menjadi kebutuhan. Sekalipun di saat
menghadapi kesulitan, kepercayaan dan keyakinan inilah yang
menumbuhkan semangat dalam pelayanan, yakni melayani Yesus yang
tersalib yang hadir pada jiwa yang terlantar. Oleh karena itulah,
pendekatan manusiawi dikedepankan, melandasi karya dengan doa
sehingga menjadi kekuatan. Percaya kepada Tuhan akan selalu
memberkati hari ini, esok, dan masa yang akan datang.

As a sign of union with God, all apostolic partners at Santo
Borromeus Hospital always begin their daily activities with a prayer so
that God will empower every effort for the salvation of others. Service
facilities are tools that given by God so the hospital can achieve its main
purpose. Therefore, any facilities used in the implementation of health
service are always dedicated to God in order to be a blessing to those
who are served. Praying together for God’s inclusion and blessing
before working are the simple forms that faithfully lived in all hospital
workers. This prayer is to unite all their activities as a form of taking
part in God’s work of salvation for humanity, so that under the light of
the Holy Spirit, all will work together to serve others.

The salvation of souls is a priority and continues to be held within
Santo Borromeus Hospital. It is God who entrusts the care of others
who are suffering to be treated at Santo Borromeus Hospital, so He
will also provide every health care worker with whatever is needed. Even
in time of adversity, it is this trust and confidence that fosters passion
in ministry, namely serving the crucified Jesus who is present in
abandoned soul. Therefore, a human approach is put forward, basing
the work with prayer so that it becomes strength. Believing in God will
always make blessing for today, tomorrow, and the future.

Toleransi dan Manusiawi

Perbedaan melahirkan harmoni kehidupan. Bukankah pelangi
sangat indah karena warnanya yang beragam? Bukankah
orkestra melahirkan simfoni yang indah karena dipadukan dari
nada-nada yang berbeda pula?

Harmoni hanya akan tercipta ketika yang berbeda itu bersatu padu.
Hormat terhadap martabat hidup sesama merupakan salah satu unsur
yang berharga untuk mencapai keterpaduan. Nilai tersebut terus tumbuh,
berkembang dan dihidupi oleh segenap mitra kerasulan dalam pelayanan
kesehatan Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus. Rumah Sakit Santo
Borromeus yang berdiri atas dasar iman Katolik selalu merentangkan
tangan untuk merengkuh dan melayani dalam cinta kasih yang
merupakan nilai universal. Hal ini selaras dengan jati dirinya: Frasa

D ifferences create the harmony of life. Doesn’t the rainbow
look beautiful because of its various colors? Doesn’t the
orchestra create a beautiful symphony because its
combination of different notes?

Harmony can only be achieved when the differences are united.
Respect for the dignity of the life of others is one of the valuable
elements to achieve cohesion. This value continues to grow, to develop
and to be lived by all apostolic partners in the health services of Santo
Borromeus Hospital. The hospital which was founded on the Catholic
faith, always stretches out to embrace and to serve with love which is a

Sejak awal, Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus menjalankan karya
pelayanan kesehatannya dalam semangat cinta kasih yang tulus.
Hubungan interpersonal antara dokter, perawat, tenaga kesehatan

Saling menghargai dan menghormati antara sesama profesi, komunikasi yang
baik dengan rekan sejawat dan pasien serta keluarga pasien hingga transfer
keilmuan di antara sejawat menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari pelayanan prima
demi keselamatan sesama.

service in a spirit of sincere love. Interpersonal relationships between doctors,
nurses, other health workers, and patients are established in a tireless and
continuous effort to create harmony. Shared awareness that everybody cannot
work by himself, let alone be “picky” in carrying out shared responsibilities,

Health services often have to race against time in order to serve carefully,
responsively and quickly without leaving the aspect of prudence in service for
the safety of the souls, especially when dealing with patients in the Emergency
Room that has to be fast and precise.

communication with partners, patients, and patients’ families, and
transfer of knowledge between colleagues, are the inseparable part of

The public confidence to Santo Borromeus Hospital demands a
balance that can only be proven through optimal service. This can be
realized when there is good communication and collaboration between
the health professionals involved in handling and caring for patients.
All work hand in hand to help patients with the best service and
discipline, to strengthen each other, and to achieve recovery. Nobody
is left behind, no one is abandoned without doing anything, and there
is no such thing as keeping a distance from the patient. Motivation to
help others does not only appear in words, but also in actions and
solutions. Intensive communication and providing solutions between
nurses, doctors, patients, and patients’ families will always produce
happiness, especially for patients.

Discipline and the desire to serve sincerely have become a major
asset for the health workers for the advancement of Santo Borromeus

P erhatian dan perawatan bagi orang sakit tak pernah mengenal
waktu. Meskipun demikian, secara khusus Gereja memberi
perhatian khusus bagi karya kemanusiaan ini. Hari Orang Sakit
Sedunia diperingati setiap tanggal 11 Februari. Saat mencanangkan hal
ini pertama kali pada 13 Mei 1992, Paus Yohannes Paulus II sengaja
memilih peringatan Bunda Maria menampakkan diri kepada Bernadette
Soubirous di Gua Massabielle Lourdes, Prancis. Pemilihan peringatan
ini sebagai Hari Orang Sakit Sedunia bukanlah tanpa alasan sebab
banyak peziarah dan pengunjung yang pergi ke Lourdes telah
disembuhkan melalui doa-doa kepada Bunda Maria. Bunda Maria
senantiasa diikutsertakan dalam permohonan akan kesembuhan dari
sakit, baik secara fisik maupun mental. Oleh karena itu, Paus Yohannes
Paulus II mengundang Gereja untuk memperingati hari tersebut secara
khusus sebagai hari doa, pertobatan dan persembahan diri secara total
termasuk penderitaan dan kelemahan manusia.

World Day of the Sick

T he care and treatment for the sick knows no time. However,
in particular, the Church pays special attention to this
humanitarian work on World Day of the Sick which is
observed every 11 February. When it first announced on 13 May 1992,
Pope John Paul II deliberately chose the memorial of the Virgin Mary
appearing to Bernadette Soubirous in the Massabielle Cave, Lourdes,
France. The choice of this observance as World Day of the Sick is not
without reason, because many pilgrims and visitors to Lourdes have
been healed through prayers. Virgin Mary is always included in requests
for healing from illness, both physically and mentally. Therefore, Pope
John Paul II invited the Church to commemorate this day specifically
as a day of prayer, repentance and total self-offering, including human
suffering and weakness.

Sejalan dengan pendahulunya, Paus Fransiskus mengajak Gereja
memaknai Hari Orang Sakit Sedunia sebagai kesempatan untuk
mencurahkan perhatian khusus kepada orang sakit dan kepada mereka yang
memberi bantuan dan perawatan kesehatan, baik keluarga maupun
komunitas. Oleh karena itu, selain bagi orang sakit, peringatan ini juga
sekaligus dimaknai sebagai ucapan syukur dan penghargaan bagi para perawat
dan dokter yang menjadi garda terdepan dalam pelayanan kesehatan.

Hari Orang Sakit Sedunia telah menjadi agenda tahunan bagi Rumah
Sakit Santo Borromeus. Dalam situasi normal, rumah sakit membuka
ruang yang cukup luas untuk bersama-sama merayakan peringatan Hari
Orang Sakit Sedunia. Dalam kesempatan itu, pasien yang sedang dirawat
serta kondisinya memungkinkan, ditawarkan untuk hadir agar dapat
dikuatkan dengan doa-doa serta berkat khusus yang diberikan oleh
pastor atau uskup yang memimpin perayaan. Biasanya para pasien
dibawa dengan tetap terbaring di bed atau duduk di kursi roda.

Situasi khusus di tengah pandemi Covid-19, tidaklah menghalangi
perayaan Hari Orang Sakit Sedunia ke-29 pada 11 Februari 2021.
Meskipun dirayakan dalam bentuk yang lebih sederhana tanpa
mengurangi makna dan substansinya.

In line with his predecessors, Pope Francis invited the Church to
interpret World Day of the Sick as an opportunity to devote special
attention to the sick and to those who provide assistance and healthcare,
both families and communities. Therefore, in addition to the sick, this
warning is also interpreted as an expression of gratitude and
appreciation for the nurses and doctors who are at the forefront of
health services.

World Day of the Sick has become an annual agenda for Santo
Borromeus Hospital. Under normal circumstances, hospitals open up
to celebrate the World Day of the Sick together. On that occasion,
inpatients are offered to receive prayers and special blessings given by
the priest or bishop. Usually, the patients are taken with their beds or
sitting on the wheelchair.

The special situation in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, did not
prevent the celebration of 29th World Day of the Sick on 11 February
2021. It was celebrated in a simpler form without reducing its meaning
and substance.

Perayaan ekaristi peringatan Hari Orang Sakit Sedunia diselenggarakan
di Kapel Hati Kudus Yesus. Ekaristi penuh makna tersebut disebarluaskan
secara langsung melalui media siaran online ke kamar-kamar rawat inap
pasien Katolik sehingga bisa turut mengikutinya dari kamar masing-
masing. Pastor dan uskup menyapa mereka yang tengah sakit secara
khusus, mendoakan dan memberkati mereka agar dianugerahi rahmat
kesembuhan dan kesehatan lahir batin. Sementara itu, bagi pasien-pasien
non-Katolik diberikan suvenir sebagai tanda cinta kasih.

The Eucharistic Celebration of World Day of the Sick was held
in the Chapel of Hati Kudus Yesus (Sacred Heart of Jesus). The
celebration was broadcasted through online media to in-patient
rooms for Catholic patients, so that they could follow it from their
respective rooms. The bishop and pastors greeted those who were
sick in particular, prayed and blessed them with healing graces for
the body and soul. Meanwhile, non-Catholic patients were given
souvenirs as a sign of love.

minyaknya untuk memancarkan cahaya yang

F or one hundred years, the blue lantern of
Santo Borromeus Hospital has never run out
of fuel to emit the light that illuminate others
who are struggling with life. The light always shines
from Bumi Pasundan for others who need help in the
work of health services, wherever they are. Nurses,
doctors, midwives, and all apostolic partners work
together to create a beautiful harmony in order to
realize the sacred mission, as an extension of God’s
invisible hand, to touch the bodies and souls of those
who suffer. Because of that, God’s light always
accompanies every step of their noble tasks.

Tanpa mengesampingkan peran penting dokter dan profesi lainnya
di rumah sakit, perawat adalah profesi yang mulia. Dengan tangan dan
hatinyalah perawat memberi pelayanan kepada pasien sesuai dengan
prinsip dan etika perawat. Sebagai pemberi asuhan, perawat dapat
memberi bantuan baik fisik maupun psikologis kepada pasien agar
kondisi kesehatannya membaik.

Sudah menjadi rahasia umum bahwa tanggung jawab besar ada di
pundak para perawat. Pelayanannya tidak mengenal waktu dan situasi
serta kondisi lain terkait pasien yang dilayaninya. Jiwa seorang perawat
dibuktikan dengan empati luar biasa terhadap apa yang tengah dialami
pasien yang dirawatnya.

Situasi konkret di pelayanan mensyaratkan daya tahan fisik prima dan
tangguh dari para perawat sebab sering kali mereka harus bekerja dari pagi
hingga keesokan harinya demi kesembuhan pasien. Tak jarang seorang
perawat harus merelakan diri menunda waktu istirahat atau makan untuk
menolong pasien terlebih dahulu. Baik dalam kondisi normal, terlebih lagi
dalam situasi darurat, para perawat harus siap bekerja nonstop. Tidak
jarang pula pelayanan mengundang para perawat untuk tetap tabah agar
mampu hadir sebagai penguat hati para pasien dan keluarganya pada saat
harus mendampingi pasien menjelang akhir hidupnya.

Without neglecting the important role of doctors and other 173
professions in hospitals, nursing is a noble profession. It is with their
hands and hearts that nurses provide services to patients in accordance
with the principles and ethics. As caregivers, nurses can provide both
physical and psychological assistance to patients so that their health
conditions improve.

It is common knowledge that great responsibilities rest on the
shoulders of nurses. The service has no time limit, and needs to
understand the situation and other conditions related to the patients it
serves. The soul of a nurse is filled with extraordinary empathy from
what is being experienced with the patients he or she treats.

The concrete situation in the field of health service requires the
nurses to have excellent physical endurance, because they often have to
work from morning till the next day for the sake of the patient’s
recovery. Sometimes, a nurse has to postpone rest or meals to help the
patient first. Both under the normal conditions and in emergency
situations, nurses must be ready to work non-stop. Sometimes the
service also makes the nurses to remain steadfast in order to be able to
support the patients and their families, especially when they have to
accompany patients towards the end of their lives.

Profesi keperawatan akan menjadi bagian dari hidup ketika didasari
panggilan hati seutuhnya. Seperti halnya Florence Nightingale, perawat
modern yang tak hanya menjadi panutan bagi perawat di Rumah Sakit
Santo Borromeus, tetapi juga perawat di seluruh dunia.

Meskipun dibesarkan di kalangan terhormat Florence sangat
mengasihi kaum papa untuk dirawat sepenuh hati dengan kualitas
pelayanan yang sama dengan orang-orang kaya dan bangsawan. Bahkan,
peran dan kepiawaiannya mampu mengubah kondisi buruk selama Perang
Krimea di Rusia (1854) sehingga ia dikenal sebagai “Lady with The Lamp.”

Lewat andilnya lahir sejumlah perubahan dalam cara merawat pasien
di rumah sakit, termasuk memperjuangkan kebersihan dan penerapan
sanitasi yang baik sebagai poin utama menghentikan penyebaran
penyakit. Kebersihan ini pula yang menjadi salah satu kunci dalam
penanganan pandemi Covid-19 di Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus yang
masih berjalan hingga saat ini.

The nursing profession will become a part of life when it is based
on the whole calling of the heart, just like Florence Nightingale, a nurse
who is not only a role model for nurses at Santo Borromeus Hospital,
but also nurses around the world.

Despite being raised in respectable circles, Florence loved the poor
very much, and she was willing to care them wholeheartedly, with the
same quality of service as rich and aristocratic people. In fact, her role
and expertise were able to change the bad conditions during the
Crimean War in Russia (1854) so that she was known as “ Lady with
The Lamp.” Her contribution resulted in a number of changes in how
to treat patients in hospitals, including better hygiene and the
application of good sanitation, as the main points to stop the spread
of diseases. This cleanliness is also one of the keys in handling the
Covid-19 pandemic at Santo Borromeus Hospital which is still
happening today.

Nurses are not just people who clean and treat patients, but also an
important part of the patient’s recovery, just like what “ Lady with The
Lamp “ did. She stands as a symbol of love, a role model, and a light
that always illuminates in helping others.

Perawat bukan sekadar orang-orang yang membersihkan dan
merawat pasien. Akan tetapi, perawat menjadi bagian penting dari
kesembuhan pasien seperti apa yang dilakukan “Lady with The Lamp.”
Ia berdiri sebagai lambang cinta, teladan yang baik, kasih sayang, dan
cahaya yang selalu menerangi dalam menolong sesama.

Integritas para perawat dalam payung Borromeus Group semakin
utuh dan holistik berkat teladan murni Bunda Elisabeth Gruyters,
pendiri Kongregasi Suster-Suster Cintakasih Santo Carolus Borromeus
yang menyatukan seluruh hidupnya agar dipersatukan dalam “duka
Illahi”, serta mengutamakan keselamatan jiwa sesama yang menderita
dan berkesesakan hidup. Bolehlah kita bersyukur bahwa lentera biru
Florence Nightingale yang hadir sebagai teladan para perawat kesehatan
semakin diterangi dan dihangatkan oleh lilin-lilin Bunda Elisabeth
Gruyters, sang teladan ketulusan dan kerendahan hati yang rela meleleh
habis demi menerangi dan menghangatkan sekitarnya, sebagaimana
dapat kita temukan dalam warisan manuskripnya:

“...sementara itu kami mempersiapkan rumah untuk
menyongsong Tamu Agung. Kami menyalakan lilin-lilin…
Saat itu hatiku menyala-nyala; aku ingat St. Marta ketika
berkata kepada adiknya, Tuhan datang, marilah kita
menyiapkan segala sesuatunya”

Bara api biru adalah lambang integritas diri yang utuh yang hidup
dalam semangat, keberanian serta motivasi utama dalam mengabdikan
diri demi keselamatan sesama serta mengambil bagian dalam duka Illahi
yang terwujud dalam diri sesama yang menderita dan membutuhkan
pertolongan. Di dalam keutuhan itu ada kekuatan belas kasih; ada
kekuatan cinta; ada kekuatan harapan. Maka dengan hati menyala-nyala
karena cinta, mari menyongsong Tuhan, Sang Tamu Agung kehidupan.
Tuhan tidak akan diam dan pasti akan datang membawa keselamatan,
tepat pada waktunya. *

become more complete and holistic, thanks to
Mother Elisabeth Gruyters, foundress of the
Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint
Charles Borromeo who gave the whole of her life
to be united in the “divine sorrow”, and saved the
suffering and suffocating souls. May we be grateful
that the blue lantern of Florence Nightingale that
presents as a role model for the nurses was
continuously lit and warmed by the candles of
Mother Elisabeth Gruyters. She was indeed an
example of sincerity and humility, and a candle
which was willing to melt down to illuminate and
warm her surroundings, as we can find in her
manuscript:

“…meanwhile we prepared everything to
receive the important Guest in our house. We lit
candles…. At this moment my heart was
burning. I thought of Holy Martha saying to her
sister: The Master is coming, let us prepare
everything!”

The blue embers are a symbol of complete self-
integrity that lives in the spirit, courage and
motivation in devoting oneself to the salvation of
others, and taking part in the divine suffering that is
manifested in others who suffer and need help. In
that wholeness, there is the power of compassion,
the power of love, and the power of hope. So with
hearts burning with love, let’s meet God, the
Greatest Guest of life. God will not be silent and
will surely come to bring salvation, just in time. *

Dedication to the Country

B agi Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus, setia
pada misi dengan berbakti pada negeri
melalui bidang pelayanan kesehatan
sudah menjadi komitmen. Bahkan, peran dan
bakti pada negeri ini sudah dibuktikan sejak
seratus tahun lalu ketika para suster CB memulai
karya pelayanan kesehatan di Kota Bandung.

Wujud ambil bagian dalam keprihatinan
sesama dalam karya pelayanan ini tak hanya
dilakukan di lingkungan rumah sakit, tetapi
adakalanya juga diselenggarakan di luar rumah
sakit, baik secara rutin maupun insidental. Tentu,
ada perbedaan dalam prosesnya meskipun pada
prinsipnya pelayanan tetap diberikan secara
maksimal. Semangat cinta kasih dalam pelayanan
mampu menjembatani kendala-kendala
pelayanan. Kompetensi serta keterampilan
profesi berpadu indah bersama fleksibilitas dan

checkpoints are a reality found in tents, barracks, or health command
posts. Nonetheless, optimal service is still pursued wholeheartedly for
the sake of others’ safety.

Pelatihan Pijat Bayi dan PHBS

P erwujudan bakti pada negeri hadir pula dalam bentuk program-
program kemitraan, di antaranya pelatihan pijat bayi dan
Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Program kemitraan
ini dirajut oleh Bagian Klinik Kesejahteraan Keluarga Rumah Sakit
Santo Borromeus dengan para kader Posyandu Wijayakusuma RW 13
Sadang Serang Kota Bandung.

Pada 11 April 2017, di Auditorium Gedung Carolus Lantai 7 195
dilaksanakan peluncuran perdana program Kader Sayang Bayi dan Anak
(KASABA), pijat bayi dan belajar cara mencuci tangan yang baik dan
benar versi World Health Organization (WHO) oleh tim Komite
Pengendalian dan Pencegahan Infeksi Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus.
Acara dihadiri Sekretaris Daerah Kota Bandung Yossi Irianto, Ketua Tim
Penggerak PKK Kota Bandung Atalia Praratya Kamil, Camat Coblong
Dedi Priadi Nugraha, Direktur Utama Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus
dr. Chandra Mulyono dan kader Posyandu se-Kecamatan Coblong.

Baby Massage Training and PHBS
(Clean and Healthy Life Behavior)

T he manifestation of service to the country is also present in
the form of partnership programs, such as baby massage
training and Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS). The
Santo Borromeus Hospital’s Family Welfare Clinic Section collaborated
with the cadres of the Wijayakusuma Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare
Center) RW 13, Sadang Serang, Bandung City, to create this partnership
program.

On April 11, 2017 at the Auditorium of the Carolus Building, 7th
Floor, the Santo Borromeus Hospital

Infection Control and Prevention Committee team launched the
Love Children and Babies Cadres (KASABA) program, baby massage,
and learning how to wash hands properly and correctly according to
the World Health Organization (WHO). Yossi Irianto, Regional
Secretary of the City of Bandung, Atalia Praratya Kamil, Head of the
PKK Activator Team for the City of Bandung, Dedi Priadi Nugraha,
Head of the Coblong Sub-district, Dr. Chandra Mulyono, President
Director of the Santo Borromeus Hospital, Dr. Chandra Mulyono, and
Posyandu cadres in Coblong Sub-district attended the event.

Pendampingan Posyandu

M emberikan pendampingan aktif terhadap Posyandu Melati
di Bagusrangin RW o7 Kecamatan Coblong Kota Bandung
merupakan salah satu tanggung jawab sosial yang
diwujudkan oleh Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus yang secara geografis
berada di wilayah kecamatan yang sama.

Bersamaan dengan persiapan Posyandu Melati untuk mengikuti lomba
posyandu tingkat Kota Bandung pada 5 Juli 2018, Bagian Promosi
Kesehatan Rumah Sakit (PKRS) Rumah Sakit Santo Borromeus turut
memberikan dukungan dengan membuka gerai pelayanan kesehatan gratis
untuk masyarakat berupa konsultasi kesehatan, pemeriksaan tensi atau
tekanan darah, dan gula darah. Pada kesempatan tersebut, Posyandu Melati
meraih gelar Juara III dalam lomba posyandu tingkat Kota Bandung.
