Abstract

The electromyogram (EMG) is a biological signal which manifests in conjunction with
muscle contraction. It is widely used for health, biomechanics and machine control
researches. However, the EMG amplifier is costly to the researcher. In this project, a low-
cost solution to EMG amplification is introduced. The developed device was tested to
have comparable performance parameters to commercial device. Being designed for
researchers, it provides flexible output options which include the raw, rectified and a
linear enveloped stage.

Abstrak
Persaingan dalam industri pembuatan peralatan penyejukan dan penyamanan udara ini
telah menyaksikan pihak pengeluar cuba menarik perhatian dan minat pembelinya
dengan mempelbagaikan rekabentuk dan juga penjimatan tenaga elektrik bagi produk
mereka. Namun begitu, terdapat satu perkara yang kurang diberi perhatian oleh
pengeluar penyaman udara iaitu terhadap tebus guna air yang dihasilkan daripada
proses kondensasi (wap air bertukar menjadi cecair) yang berlaku pada penyejat
(evaporator). Air ini dialirkan keluar daripada takungan air di dalam unit dalam dan
kemudiannya keluar melalui saluran air keluar penyaman udara. Air yang dihasilkan
daripada proses kondensasi ini tidak mengandungi sebarang bahan cemar yang
menjejaskan kesihatan pengguna. Selain daripada itu, ruangan yang terhad bagi
penyambungan air keluar yang terlalu panjang dan kurang kemas boleh menyebabkan
saliran air tidak dikeluarkan dengan baik dan mengakibatkan limpahan air pada saluran
air tersebut. Penghasilan projek inovasi ini akan menghasilkan produk penyegar udara
dan juga membantu mengepam air keluar daripadda unit penyaman udara,
meminimumkan penggunaan ruang pemasangan produk dan pemasangan perpaipan air
keluar daripada penyaman udara, dan menebus guna air bagi tujuan penyegar udara dan
rawatan aroma terapi. Penghasilan projek ini merangkumi beberapa proses iaitu
penghasilkan idea awalan yang mengambil kira daripada tinjauan secara temubual dan
soal selidik yang akan membantu kepada proses lakaran yang akan dihasilkan.
Rekabentuk produk yang dihasilkan ini mengambil kira kepada meminimumkan
penggunaan ruang pemasangan produk dan pemasangan perpaipan air keluar daripada
penyaman udara. Air yang terhasil juga dianalisis secara ujian makmal bagi menguji
tahap keasidan dan kealkalian yang perlu dipatuhi dari aspek kesihatan pengguna. Hasil
dapatan daripada projek ini mendapati produk yang dihasilkan dengan rekabentuk yang
bersesuaian menepati keperluan pengguna. Produk ini dapat dipasang pada ruangan
yang terhad dan sangat ringan berbanding dengan produk yang sedia ada. Air yang
terhasil daripada penyejat juga didapati sesuai digunakan berdasarkan pengujian yang
telah dilaksanakan. Produk ini sangat sesuai digunakan pada ruangan yang sempit dan
air yang terhasil ini berjaya ditebusguna. Air yang digunakan sebagai penyegar udara ini
sesuai digunakan sebagai aroma terapi kepada pengguna. Diharap jumlah air yang
ditebusguna dapat dipertingkatkan lagi dan rekabentuk yang lebih menarik bersesuaian
dengan fungsinya.

Abstract

Cold-formed steel (CFS) is considered a popular construction material in civil
engineering activity due to its advantages such as high strength-weight ratio, corrosion
resistance, etc. Nowadays, CFS is studied to produce a structural element such as beam
and column however CFS must be updated and adjusted. This is because CFS with a
thin surface and lightweight is exposed to the failure of buckling and torsion. Thus, the
CFS channel section is chosen and modified by proposing the box-up with two CFS
channels attached in face-to-face conditions. Waste paper sludge ash (WPSA) from the
waste paper recycling industry and washed bottom ash (WBA) from electric coal power
stations are used as cement and sand replacement, respectively, in mortar. Both waste
materials are selected to solve the environmental impact such as limited landfill dumping
areas and air pollution. This special mortar is filled in the box-up CFS column and able to
support the principle of 6S; stable, strong, stiffen, safe, save cost and solve the structural
integrity. From the experiments, the composite column with good mechanical properties
is able to switch the traditional column and utilise in the construction such as roof
column, street lamp post, main column of the wall frame, and storage rack.

Abstrak
Sistem perpaipan air rumah atau domestik adalah satu sistem yang amat penting dan
menjadi sistem asas dalam sesebuah rumah kediaman. Tanpa sistem perpaipan air yang
baik maka banyak urusan seharian penguhuni kediaman akan terganggu. Sistem asas
perpaipan air sesebuah rumah adalah terdiri daripada tekanan air dari meter akan
disalurkan terus ke dalam tangki air rumah. Dari tangki air rumah maka barulah air akan
diagihkan kepada semua paip pengguaan. Penyataan masalah bagi sistem perpaipan
konvensional yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemaju perumahan semasa pembinaan yang
pertama adalah purata tekanan air diseluruh rumah amat rendah kerana menggunakan
tekanan hanya dari tangki utama. Masalah kedua adalah dimana situasi ketiadaan
sumber air dari meter menyebabkan singki dapur tidak mempunyai air. Penghuni juga
terpaksa mengangkat air daripada tandas untuk membasuh pinggan mangkuk yang
berada disingki dapur. Masalah seterusnya adalah penghuni terpaksa membeli pam air
bagi menambahkan tekanan air yang mana perlu kepada penyenggaraan berkala.
Penghuni yang tidak mampu membeli pam air terpaksa membeli pemanas air yang
mempunyai pam air yang sememangnya mahal. Penggunaan alat pam air ini
menambahkan bil elektrik semasa dan sangat membazir. Pam air juga mendedahkan
pengguna kepada bunyi bising apabila ia beroperasi. HoPES adalah satu inovasi yang
terdiri dari dua sistem iaitu All-Direct Piping System (ADePS) dan Advance Water Level
Indicator (ADeN). HoPES adalah satu sistem perpaipan dimana dapat menyelesaikan
masalah tekanan air pada keseluruhan rumah yang mana sistem perpaipan domestik
rumah konvensional mempunyai tekanan air yang rendah. HoPES akan menyediakan
satu sistem perpaipan yang kondusif dengan kos yang sangat rendah tanpa
menggunakan sebarang pam atau peralatan eletrik yang lain. Ianya selamat digunakan
dan mampu bertahan sehingga 10 tahun atau lebih. Dengan penjimatan elektrik hampir
4,440 Watt sehari atau 133,200 Watt sebulan maka HoPES adalah satu pilihan yang
bijak. HoPES juga mempunyai potensi pemasaran yang tinggi kerana terdapat jutaan
rumah yang amat sesuai dipasang dengan sistem ini. Ini memberikan peluang
penjanaan pendapatan kepada pereka inovasi dan kepada usahawan yang berminat.

Abstract
To reduce pollution due to the use of conventional fossil fuel, many transportations
are going to be electrified, environmental-friendly and zero-emission energy. As an
essential step, the introduction battery is used as the main energy storage for
electric vehicle, but it weighs heavily and expensive in price as caused by the
increased energy storage capacity and improved EV performance. Lifespan of the
battery will reduce as it needs to provide high demand of current in acceleration.
There is a possibility for the contact charging to cause short circuit during raining
as some of the charging port is exposed at open area. The aim of this research is
to design a hybrid energy storage system (HESS) of wireless charging system with
charge monitor in EV application. The system was designed and simulated with
Simulink from MATLAB and Proteus 8 to analyse the HESS and the performance
of the wireless charging system. The energy storage types chosen were three
series 3.7 V, 2000 mAh at 18650 lithium-ion batteries and four series 3 V with 40 F
ultracapacitors arranged in passive configuration. The charging time and
discharging time of HESS was estimated. The wireless charging system was
designed with the output voltage range of 5 V to 13 V and the output current range
of 0.5 A to 2.0 A. In the wireless charging system, a 9 V wireless charging module
was used associated with a DC-DC boost converter to boost up the output voltage
by using the module for the batteries and ultracapacitors charging circuits within
the system. The optimum distance range for changing is 0 cm to 2 cm. The supply
voltage and current were regulated and limited before flow into the charging circuit.
The charging circuit for batteries and ultracapacitors comes with automatic cut off
feature once is almost fully charged and balance charging. The overall output
voltage and output current are 5 V and 12 V, and 0.63 A respectively.

Abstrak
Smart Leakage Control System (SLCS) ini di reka bentuk untuk mengelakkan kebocoran
pada sistem penyamanan udara jika berlaku kebocoran. Di Malaysia, terdapat ramai
pengguna menggunakan alat penyaman udara sebagai pendingin. Penyaman udara
akan rosak jika beroperasi dengan tiada bahan pendingin. Jika terdapat kerosakan pada
komponen, akan menyebabkan kos baik pulih dan penyelenggaran menjadi mahal.
Kebanyakan sistem penyamanan udara tidak dilengkapi dengan sistem kawalan
kebocoran bahan pendingin. Kebocoran bahan pendingin akan berlaku selepas
pemasangan dan penyelengaraan. Ini kerana, jika kerja penyambungan paip di antara
unit dalam dan unit luar tidak diikat dengan kemas akan terjadinya kebocoran bahan
pendingin. Terdapat juga akan berlaku kebocoran bahan pendingin di injap 3 hala pada
unit luar, kerana getah pelapik pada injap tersebut telah keras serta tekanan bahan
pendingin di dalam sistem tinggi semasa beroperasi menyebabkan terjadinya kebocoran.
Sistem kawalan dan pendawaian pada penyamanan udara diubah suai dengan
penambahan dua pressure switch dan dua injap solenoid. Tetapan jumlah tekanan
bahan pendingin ditetapkan pada pressure switch yang pertama. Jika terdapat
perubahan tekanan bahan pendingin di dalam sistem, injap solenoid pertama akan
beroperasi untuk menutup saluran bahan pendingin di bahagian mampatan. Bahan
pendingin akan disedut oleh pemampat dan akan disimpan pada unit luar penyamanan
udara. Apabila bahan pendingin telah tersimpan pada unit luar, injap solenoid kedua dan
pressure switch kedua beroperasi untuk mematikan bekalan elektrik pada penyamanan
udara. Hal ini menyebabkan unit penyamanan udara berhenti operasi dan bahan
pendingin disimpan sepenuhnya pada unit luar. Kebocoran bahan pendingin dapat
dielakkan. Produk inovasi ini telah ditambahbaik dengan menambah sensor tekanan
bahan pendingin dan sensor habuk untuk menghantar data kepada telefon pintar

Abstrak
Di zaman maklumat di hujung jari, penggunaan telefon pintar amat meluas di kalangan
genarasi muda terutamanya para pelajar. Pelbagai aplikasi yang direkacipta bagi
memenuhi permintaan pengguna termasuklah aplikasi pengajaran dan pembelajaran.
Voltmeter dan ammeter merupakan alat pengukuran yang sangat penting di dalam
bidang kejuruteraan elektrik dan bidang yang berkaitan dengannya. Ia digunakan dari
awal semester sehingga tamat pengajian di dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran
di institusi pengajian awam dan swasta termasuk di Politeknik Malaysia . Mobile E-Meter
mampu memenuhi ciri-ciri yang diperlukan para pelajar dengan menggunakan teknologi
tanpa wayar iaitu Bluetooth dan Wifi di telefon pintar. Mobile E-Meter mampu mengukur
voltan dengan kadaran 0 sehingga 33V dan arus 0mA sehingga 3A. Mobile E-Meter
mampu mengukur bacaan secara real time sebagai contoh antara pelajar dan
pensyarah. Cara capaian Mobile E-Meter secara Wifi melalui aplikasi telefon pintar
Blynk, Bluetooth secara aplikasi telefon pintar BT Terminal Free dan paparan secara
digital OLED. Fasiliti suara yang menyatakan nilai bacaan arus dan voltan yang
diperolehi sangat membantu terutamanya pengguna yang mengalami kurang upaya
pendengaran. Impak dari penghasilan produk ialah mendapat sijil hakcipta
CRLY2021P03440 dan mendapat Surat Pengesahan Persetujuan Memasarkan Produk
dari syarikat KRC Electronics, Smart Academic Engineering & Management dan
Nurkamal Networks Sdn Bhd. Kesimpulannya, Mobile E-Meter merupakan inovasi alat

Abstrak

Solar Lawn Mower adalah sebuah mesin yang dibangunkan untuk mengatasi masalah mesin
rumput sedia ada. Kebanyakan mesin rumput di pasaran memerlukan tenaga bahan api
petrol atau letrik untuk berfungsi. Dari segi kendalian pula, ia perlu ditolak oleh pengguna.
Berbeza dengan Solar Lawn Mower, ia menggunakan tenaga diperbaharui iaitu cahaya
matahari sebagai sumber tenaga untuk menggerakkannya. Solar Lawn Mower menggunakan
alat kawalan jauh untuk mengawalnya, Ini bermakna pengguna hanya perlu berada di satu
tempat sahaja untuk memotong rumput kerana tidak perlu menolaknya. Mesin ini
menggunakan tiga motor elektrik di mana dua daripadanya digunakan untuk menggerakkan
roda berantai dan satu lagi dipasang mata pisau untuk memotong rumput. Sumber tenaga
menggunakan panel solar yang disambungkan kepada bateri. Mesin ini juga dilengkapi
dengan kamera hadapan dan paparan video dihubungkan pada telefon mudah alih. Ini bagi
memudahkan pengguna melihat keadaan kawasan berumput dari lokasi yang jauh. Sasaran
mesin ini adalah bagi pengguna yang mempunyai halaman rumah yang kecil dan sederhana
seperti taman-taman perumahan. Selain menjimatkan kerana tidak menggunakan bahan api,
penggunaan Solar Lawn Mower solar memelihara alam sekitar dengan menggunakan
teknologi hijau.

Abstract

Sand cement brick is a common construction material, but with the shortage of raw
material and the quality of brickwork in the construction project, there is a need for a new
invention of brick replacement. Coconut shells can serve as a replacement for a portion of
coarse aggregates for both practicality and sustainability. This is especially since the
agriculture industry has been known to contribute to negative environmental impacts if the
right action on the waste material not were taken. Besides, the interlocking concept is also
known as an invention to speed up the construction project with high quality of the project.
This paper describes the materials and methods as well as properties of interlocking coco
blocks added with coconut shells as a partial replacement of coarse aggregates. The
interlocking coco blocks were compared to traditional sand cement bricks in terms of
physical and mechanical properties. Interlocking coco blocks were prepared at a ratio of
1:1.5:3 of cement, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate with 0%, 10%, 20% and 30%
partial replacement of coconut shells. All the methods used in this study were based on
the standards set by the British Standard BS EN 771-Part 3. The results of material
properties revealed that concrete mixes with 20% partial replacement of coconut shells in
coarse aggregate portion produced good properties of compressive strength and density.
As a result, the interlocking coco blocks and sand cement brick were comparable in terms
of density and compressive strength. The density of the interlocking coco blocks is
2000kg/m3 and 15.41 N/mm2, as well as the sand cement brick is 1563 kg/m3 and 9.3
N/mm2. Interlocking coco blocks with a partial replacement of coconut shell wastes can
therefore serve as a viable alternative for conventional bricks

Sejak akhir-akhir ini terdapat pelbagai bencana alam yang berlaku di seluruh dunia.
Sebagai contoh seperti banjir kilat, kenaikan air secara mendadak di persisiran pantai
atau ombak tsunami yang datang secara mengejut serta dan fenomena air pasang surut
yang dasyat. Maka Evolution Fence direka sebagai salah satu penyelesaian masalah
kepada situasi yang tidak menentu di seluruh dunia secara amnya dan di Malaysia
secara khususnya. Evolution Fence dilengkapi peralatan pengesan GPS lokasi, sistem
solar, bateri cas, lampu kecemasan, pelekat timbal balik dan empat (4) ruang kotak
simpanan untuk menyimpan makanan dan minuman berteknologi retort, kit kemandiran

Abstrak

Percetakan silk screen adalah salah satu teknik percetakan yang paling popular, dan
merupakan yang paling banyak digunakan oleh pengusaha baju atau cenderahati untuk
mencetak reka bentuk pada produk dengan saiz dan bahan yang berbeza. Ia telah
digunakan selama lebih daripada 100 tahun dalam sektor komersial dan artistik dan
digunakan terutamanya untuk mencetak imej dan reka bentuk pada baju-T, beg tote,
kertas, kayu, seramik dan bahan lain. Kajian ini difokuskan untuk penghasilan mesin
percetakan silk screen secara semi automatik bagi menggantikan kaedah manual iaitu
penggunaan squeegee di dalam proses pencetakan bagi t-shirt atau produk lain
seperti beg cenderahati. Selain itu, ia juga bertujuan untuk mencetak pada beg bagi
tujuan cenderahati untuk Centre For Mechanical Plastic (CMEP) Politeknik Sultan Abdul
Halim Mu’adzam Shah (POLIMAS) di mana ia sering dikunjungi oleh pelbagai pihak
terutamanya pelajar-pelajar sekolah dan juga institusi lain. Rekabentuk mesin dimulakan
dengan proses penghasilan rangka mesin di mana proses kimpalan dilakukan.
Rekabentuk mesin ini dilengkapi dengan sistem motor pengelap cermin kereta, motor
tingkap kuasa dan juga alat pemotong jubin sebagai alternatif bagi sistem mekanikal
untuk proses percetakan tersebut. Bagi proses penghasilan blok cetakan, kain mesh,
bingkai kayu, dakwat plastisol digunakan. Dengan adanya mesin ini proses cetakan silk
screen pada beg cenderahati lebih cepat dan mudah serta dapat menjimatkan ruang
penyimpanan.

Abstract

Occupational noise-induced hearing loss (ONIHL) is the most reported occupational
disease worldwide. Most governments around the world have enacted laws to control
noise exposure in the workplace through Hearing Conservation Program (HCP).
However, the absence of a mechanism to manage HCP thwart this effort. This Internet of
Things (IoT) device combines the concepts of active detection, warning and recording in
accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations
2019. This innovation allows sound readings to be recorded and warnings of hearing
protection to be issued. Compliance with the use of protective equipment can also be
monitored through this system. A compliance index system was also developed using the
eight elements of the Hearing Protection Program (HCP). A pilot test on the effectiveness
of this OHCI system was conducted in selected workplace for six months and it was
found that the use of this tool has increased the compliance of the HCP to 82.6%. It also
increases the level of readiness among respondents to prevent this disease. The idea
behind this innovation is to develop a holistic NIHL intervention product that can manage
HCP, improve hearing protection practices and generate a novel graphical index for HCP
compliance.

Abstract

Cerebral palsy children especially those with Total Body Involvement Cerebral Palsy
(TBICP), use a wheelchair with headrest attachment all the time. Headrest is used to
provide support and positioning the head and neck of the user. In the matter of
positioning and posture the TBICP patient, there seem to be a few lacking with the
current wheelchair in the market. The objective of this research is to introduce a new
device which is the adjustable headrest for TBICP children. Computer-Aided Design
(CAD) and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) such as Solidworks is used to assist in
designing the device. Analysis is performed to determine the best thickness of the
headrest when the user leans on it, effect towards model when a different load is applied
on it and effect of load toward device at a different angle of headrest position. All the
analysis is determined by using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The device is fabricated
by using 3D printing machine and materials used are Polylactic Acid (PLA), Acrylonitrile
Butadiene Styrene (ABS) and PolyVinyl Alcohol (PVA). Smart controller is integrated for
the headrest direction positioning to make more efficient in device controlling.

Abstract

Carbon membrane industry is the future market opportunities, proven by growth in patent
activity related to carbon membrane. In 2009 alone, the number of issued US patents
almost reached 1000 record. The global hydrogen market is expected to grow at
compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.7% (revenue-based) and reach $184.11 billion
by 2028 The hydrogen market growth is expected to be driven by the growing demand
from various industries. Thus, this project mainly focuses on the development and
application of inorganic membranes material which is modified Polyimides (PI) with
Nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC)-based supported carbon membrane for Hydrogen
purification. The molecular sieving capability of carbon membranes is derived from an
ultra-micropore structure with dimensions close to the permeating gas molecules which
contribute towards accomplishing the selectivity requirement. The new material of
modified PI/NCC supported carbon membrane are defect-free which improved the
Hydrogen separation performance. Tubular and disk supporting material was used to
increase the membrane mechanical strength and make it has a longer lifetime compare to
unsupported carbon membrane.

Abstract

The idea of ghee development was started off as a research of health beneficiary product
which could improve people’s health and lifestyle. Many aspects of research were
considered when developing the ghee such as veterinary knowledge and material
science. The research was done to study the composition of ghee on how to maximize
the conversion rate from milk to ghee. The objective was to study the best method of
conversion rate from milk to ghee and to understand the reaction of fats in different
stages of milk conversion process. The research was done in 2 different methods which
are traditional method and modern method. The traditional process includes the process
where the milk is converted to yogurt, then butter and finally ghee. Modern machine
bypasses the lengthy process where the milk is diversified to cream and then processed
to ghee. The ghee guarantees health benefits and improve the lifestyle of people. The
pure ghee improves digestion, fatigue and weight loss. The improvisation in the innovated
ghee formula is the ‘granulation’ technique where the saturated fat crystalizes to improve
the ghee quality. Finally, there is no doubt that the ghee aids nation’s economy, people’s
lifestyle, and health.

Abstrak
Sistem jual beli atas talian semakin popular di kalangan penduduk Malaysia, malah
urusan jual beli atas talian ini semakin mendapat sambutan setelah negara diserang
dengan virus Covid-19. Saban hari terdapat banyak laporan kehilangan dan kerosakan
bungkusan yang diterima. Keselamatan bungkusan tidak terjamin daripada kecurian dan
bencana alam seperti banjir, ribut dan sebagainya. Selain itu, ketiadaan penerima
bungkusan dirumah untuk menerima bungkusan juga menjadi masalah kepada
penghantar bungkusan.Objektif projek ini ialah membina satu projek sistem bungkusan
menggunakan IoT dan kamera yang berkesan.Selain itu, projek ini adalah bagi
memastikan bungkusan diterima dalam keadaan yang baik.Sistem ini terdiri daripada unit
kawalan iaitu Raspberry Pi, Arduino Uno, kamera Raspberry Pi, motor servo dan unit
bekalan kuasa. Binaan fizikal sistem ini terdiri dari kotak penyimpanan bagi bungkusan
yang bersaiz kecil dan pagar automatik bagi membenarkan penghantar untuk masuk bagi
bungkusan yang lebih besar. Sistem ini menggunakan teknologi IoT untuk memberi
notifikasi penerimaan bungkusan melalui email daripada penghantar barang. Kotak
penyimpanan barangan bungkusan dapat dibuka dan dikunci oleh penerima melalui web
browser. Penerima juga dapat membuka dan menutup pagar automatik melaui web
browser sekiranya bungkusan adalah bersaiz besar. Kamera berfungsi untuk
membolehkan penerima melihat penghantar barang melalui paparan di web
browser.Sistem ini dibina adalah untuk melancarkan proses penerimaan bungkusan dari
penghantar kepada penerima. Keunikan sistem ini ialah dapat dikawal dengan sistem
wireless dari telefon pintar melalui web browser . Selain itu, sistem ini memaparkan
gambar dari rakaman kamera di telefon pintar melalui web browser. Sistem ini dapat
dikawal dari jarak jauh. Kesimpulannya, sistem ini dapat menjimatkan masa penghantar
bungkusan dengan lancar dan teratur.

Abstract

COVID19, is a viral disease and can be multiplies through human-to-human contact. Our
government enforced the owner of the premises have temperature screening, hand
sanitizer as the primary step to assess for possible COVID-19 infection. The owner of the
premises also must control social distancing inside their premises. In this paper, an IoT-
enabled smart gate that uses as a model for monitoring the number of customers
entering the shop or office entrance. The main component used in this study is an
Arduino Uno and NodeMCU microcontroller, with an automatic hand sanitizer and two
servo motors to activate the automatic sanitizer. The contactless temperature sensor
MLX 90614 is used to take the customer's body temperature and display the data on a
web server page. When an IR sensor is detected, a buzzer will sound. The NodeMCU
microcontroller, two IR sensors, and one servo motor were used to accomplish this. The
smart gate will automatically open when total of the customer inside the premises is
under limits. As an outcome, a cost-effective and reliable method of using IoT to build a
healthy environment. The proposed model can be used for any shop in the shopping
mall, post office, bank, gymnasiums, and restaurants, etc.

INTRODUCTION PICTURE OF THE INNOVATION

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has been wreaking havoc on the
worldwide since early 2020. Because the world cannot stop functioning and cannot
remain in a lockdown for more than 3±6 months, the recommended idea is to
implement an automatic sanitizer with a temperature sensor at every feasible
entrance to adapt live with the Covid-19 virus. Until a viable vaccine is developed,
breaking the transmission cycle is the only way to fight the battle against Covid-19.
To prevent it from spreading, most researchers and the government have been
working hard to build a technology that will protect itself from spreading. In this new
norm which the world has been attack with virus of Covid-19, social distancing is a
very common things that people need to follow. In many shops, the surveillance and
control of individuals who sanitize their hands every time they touch something,
people who come out of the house with a normal temperature, and people in a
specific business within the government’s limit is becoming a serious concern. The
World Health Organization (WHO) has issued the guideline about simple precaution
such as always cleaning hands, avoid crowded places and always check temperature.
To minimize the need for human opening and shutting activities, automatic
entrance/exit door control is widely applied in public areas including grocery stores,
companies, public transport platforms, airports, and wholesale department stores.
Infrared, ultrasonic and other wireless sensing systems are among the latest sensor-
based automatic gate control technologies. This innovation primarily focuses on the
development of an infrared temperature sensor, as well as issues related to cost and
application on a wide scale. This innovation has addressed the significant issue of
cost which has been developed to be cost-effective and easy to monitor the
temperature. The infrared temperature sensor was utilised to measure temperature
in this system. The temperature of every person can be checked using the sensor
module, which can be installed at the entrance of any building.

This innovation was created to alert people in surrounding about how dangerous
Covid-19 especially people who has very low immune system and low of antibody.
Other than that, this innovation also to avoid people crowded the shop. NodeMCU
base will be used to light up all the component needed. NodeMCU is used to read
interrupt from sensors and send the data through web server. First, people need to
sanitize their hand using automatic sanitizer. Next, they need to check their body
temperature value using their forehead. Then, if the capacity of people in the shop is
still beneath the limit, they can enter the shop until the gate closed. Once the gate is
closed, they must wait until someone exits the shop before the gate will reopen. The
shop’s guard will use a computer to monitor the temperature and the number of
individuals who enter, and will not need to manually administer sanitizer to each
person that enters.

Abstrak

SMART FOOT SCALE merupakan satu projek inovasi yang direka untuk membantu
menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi oleh pelanggan dalam pemilihan saiz kasut. Jika
dikaji masalah yang berlaku semasa pemilihan saiz kasut adalah berulang-ulang kali
pelanggan mencuba kasut bagi mendapat saiz yang sesuai. Tetapi masih belum lagi
terdapat satu alat pengukur elektronik yang dapat membantu, memudah dan
mempercepatkan proses tersebut. Dengan adanya projek ini, pelanggan hanya perlu
meletakkan tapak kaki di atas alat pengukur dan Paparan LCD akan memaparkan saiz
kasut pelanggan tersebut. Hanya mengambil masa lebih kurang 3 saat sahaja untuk
mementukan saiz kasut. Ini dapat memudahkan lagi pekerja kedai kasut melayan
pelanggan. Projek ini direka khas untuk pelanggan dewasa sahaja. Antara litar penting
yang digunakan dalam mereka projek ini adalah Litar Bekalan Kuasa 5V, Modul Arduino
Uno ATmega328, LDR Circuit, LED Circuit dan Paparan LCD. Kajiselidik telah dibuat ke
atas beberapa buah kedai kasut di sekitar Melaka, didapati bahawa 90% pemilik kedai
bersetuju dengan projek ini. Dengan adanya Smart Foot Scale ini dapat membantu
mempercepatkan proses pemilihan saiz kasut. Ini menunjukkan perubahan daripada cara
tradisional kepada teknologi terkini menjadi suatu keperluan dan memberi keyakinan
agar projek ini dapat direalisasikan supaya penyataan masalah yang dihadapi akan
segera ditangani.

Abstract

Maintenance in landscaping, also known as groundskeeping play an important role to
kept the property clean, attractive and safe. It typically consist of the upkeep of the yard,
garden, driveway and lawn care especially during rainy season., tools and equipment
that’s are using by workers must have an comprehensive services. Workers in
landscaping need cleaning equipment such as garden rakes, brooms, blowers and
vacuum cleaners to perform cleaning tasks meanwhile preserving the natural beauty of
the landscape. The old way of cleaning up garbage or dry leaves using tools like rakes
and scooping baskets lead to a waste of human energy and time consume. Therefore,
the innovation this vacuum machine can reduce the amount of energy used by workers to
clean the area. Main goal of this project is to optimise natural sunlight as a source of
renewable energy to a rechargeable battery to power this vacuum machine. This
machine can use by gardeners, housewife and others as garden-user friendly tool.
Simple design and easy to handle give the opportunity to explore this new innovation
Solar Power Leaf Vacuum Cleaner. In additions, data obtained from this study indicates
that Solar Power Leaf Vacuum Cleaner has a potential of reducing noise for 5 meter
distance is only 57 db and reduce the noise pollution. As conclusion, this innovation
projects optimise natural resources towards sustainability in landscape maintenance.

Abstrak

EZ Barrow merupakan sebuah inovasi dari kereta sorong biasa yang memberikan
pelbagai kemudahan dan keselesaan kepada pengguna. Ia membantu mengurangkan
daya tolakan pengguna dengan penambahan dua buah roda boleh pusing 360º.
Pemegang juga boleh dilaraskan mengikut keselesaan ketinggian pengguna. Takung
beban boleh ditegakkan setelah ditambahkan absorber tekanan gas pada kerangkanya.
Mampu mengangkut beban yang berat melebihi 200kg terutama pelajar perempuan bagi
melakukan kerja-kerja amali. Pengguna hanya tekan engkol kekunci dan beban akan
diturunkan dengan sendirinya. Ia juga mempunyai ciri keselamatan yang tinggi dengan
penambahan brek untuk mengawal kelajuan dan mengurangkan kesan inersia. Oleh itu,
risiko kemalangan dapat dikurangkan. EZ barrow juga amat mesra alam kerana ianya
tidak memerlukan sebarang bahan api, elektrik mahupun bateri untuk mengendalikannya.
Ez barrow mempunyai ciri-ciri keselamatan yang baik dan nilai komersial yang sangat
tinggi dengan kos pembuatan yang rendah. Produk ini sangat membantu dalam proses
pengajaran dan pembelajaran serta boleh di digunakan di dalam industri pembinaan.
Reka bentuk ini boleh ditambah baik dengan mengunakan saiz baket yg lebih besar
supaya dapat menampung isipadu beban yang lebih besar. Selain itu, dengan EZ Barrow
penggunaan tenaga manusia dapat dikurangkan serta tidak kira lelaki atau wanita, tua
atau muda, mampu melakukan kerja-kerja berat tanpa bantuan sesiapa.

DEVELOPMENT OF JIG TO HOLD CYLINDER HEAD WITH
ANGLE ON A MILLING MACHINE

Abstract

Development of a jig to hold cylinder head with angle on a milling machine it is a tool
created to assist motoring automotive experts in the process of cutting the cylinder head
surface. In the meantime, the researcher developed this product to overcome the
problems that arise when the cutting process is carried out such as, the use of existing
handles is static which causes the level of functionality of the holder is limited and the cut
material cannot be made properly. In addition, the cutting process will be erect and
straightforward as a result of the aspect of using a normal vise. The angled cylinder head
jig product on this milling machine was developed and simulated. Next, researcher was
designing using Solidwork2020 software, the researcher also conducted an analysis
simulation to obtain technical data on the 3D model of the angled cylinder head holder on
the grinding machine using finite element analysis. Among the technical analysis
conducted are von mises stress, displacement, and modal frequency to see the level of
functionality of the three types of materials which is aluminum, carbon steel and stainless
steel. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher found that each material used to
develop this product is very suitable for use, but there are parts that are affected and the
level of safety that needs to be improved. Finally, the researcher hopes that by
developing the product jig to hold cylinder head with angle on a milling machine it will
make it easier for the machine operator to carry out the process of smoother and orderly
cutting the surface of the cylinder head.

Abstract

D’Organic Multiporpose Chair Design adalah sebuah rekabentuk kerusi pelbagai fungsi
yang berkonsepkan organik. Rekabentuk kerusi ini direka khusus untuk kegunaan pelajar
yang berlajar secara studio base seperti pelajar Program Sijil Rekabentuk Dalaman, Kolej
Komuniti Shah Alam. Rekaan ini mengabungkan 5 compartment. Compartment pertama
yang terdiri dari drawer untuk rak buku,majalah atau buku lakaran dan lain-lain.
Compartment kedua kotak drawer kecil penyimpanan alatulis seperti pen, pencil
pembaris,pemadam, lain-lain yang bersesuaian. Compartment ketiga tempat
penyimpanan pensil colour,marker colour,water colour, dan lain-lain yang bersesuaian.
Compartment keempat ialah tempat penyimpanan laptop atau tablet dan beg.
Compartment kelima ialah soket elektrik untuk charger laptop,handphone dan soket USB.
Gabungan kesemua compartment dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan ruang bagi ruang
kerja setiap orang pelajar. Rekaan inovasi ini memudahkan pelajar senang untuk
mencapai kerana semua storages terkumpul didalam satu rekaan kerusi ini sahaja.
Rekaan Inovasi ini hanya tertumpu kada rekabentuk penggunaan kerusi sahaja untuk
penggunaan didalam Studio Cadd. Bagi penggunaan meja kerja,pelajar menggunakan
meja kerja sediaada.

IOT BASED FLASH FLOOD COUNTERMEASURE

Abstract

The most devastating natural disaster experienced in throughout Malaysia is flood. The
estimated area vulnerable to flood disaster is approximately 29,800 km or 9% of the total
Malaysia area, and is affecting almost 4.82 million people which is around 22% of the
total population of the country. The main purposes of this project is to give early flood
alert to Politeknik Kota Kinabalu (PKK) staff and students, to show safe car passing route
during flood in PKK and to provide information on the water level during heavy rains in
PKK. At the same time, PKK staff and students can immediately move their vehicles to a
safe area and this will prevent their vehicle from getting submerged in flood water. We
propose a system that uses buzzer and apps notification (Blynk IoT), to give alarm to
staff/students. The concern is to provide information about the water level during the
flood, as well as to guide the driver who is going out of Politeknik Kota Kinabalu (PKK).

Abstrak

Senaman memberi impak positif kepada aspek fizikal dan mental. Pengukuran impak
adalah penting untuk mengukur kesan senaman terhadap intervensi dan rehalibitasi.
Instrumen versi Bahasa Melayu yang ada terhad dan tidak spesifik kepada senaman.
Oleh itu, instrumen Bahasa Melayu yang sahih adalah perlu. Kajian ini dimulakan
proses terjemahan Subjective Exercise Experience Scale ke Bahasa Melayu (SEES-
M) dan diikuti kajian pengesahan. Teknik kajian keratan rentas dan persampelan
bertujuan telah digunakan. Pembangunan alat ini melibatkan tiga jenis kesahan.
Kesahihan kandungan melibatkan enam pakar yang menilai setiap item yang
diterjemahkan berdasarkan empat konsep: komprehensif, perkaitan, perwakilan dan
kejelasan, menggunakan empat Skala Likert. Kesahan konstruk ditentukan
menggunakan Pemfaktoran Paksi Utama (PAF), kaedah putaran serong Analisis
Faktor Penerokaan (EFA). Kesahan serentak dinilai menggunakan Profile of Mood
State (POMS). Kesahan kandungan menunjukkan indeks kesahan kandungan (CVI)
yang boleh diterima (0.92), Item-CVI (0.90), Skala-CVI/Ave (0.90) dan nilai cemerlang
purata peratusan serentak (ACP) (0.87). Kesahan konstruk menunjukkan beban faktor
lebih 0.40. Bilangan item dan binaan dikekalkan seperti versi asal. Kesahan serentak
menunjukkan hubungan sangat baik antara SEES-M dan POMS. SEES-M boleh
dicuba uji kepada populasi atlet untuk penambahbaikan. SEES-M menunjukkan
kesahan yang boleh diterima. Oleh itu, SEES-M yang telah dibangunkan sahih untuk
menilai mood terhadap senaman dalam populasi Malaysia.

LOG KELULUT BERTINGKAT MUDAH ALIH (LKBMA)

Abstrak

Masyarakat semakin menyedari khasiat dan kelebihan madu dari lebah kelulut yang
mengandungi banyak khasiatnya sehingga peningkatan permintaannya semakin tinggi.
Permintaan yang semakin meningkat ini menyebabkan kekurangan madu kelulut
dipasaran disebabkan pengeluarannya yang terhad. Antara faktor pengeluaran madu
yang terhad adalah disebabkan cabaran penternak kelulut dalam bentuk gangguan
fizikal seperti serangan binatang, serangga, kecurian log dan madu kelulut. Selain itu
kesukaran dalam proses menambahan log koloni kelulut disebabkan larangan
penebangan pokok hutan dan sebagainya menyebabkan kurangnya pengeluaran log
koloni kelulut dipasaran. Masalah ini telah menyebabkan permintaan melebihi
pengeluaran dalam bekalan madu kelulut. Hasil dari penelitian terhadap penambahan
log koloni kelulut, pasukan pegawai penyelidik dari Kolej Komuniti Sabak Bernam telah
merekabentuk Log Kelulut Bertingkat Mudah Alih (LKBMA). LKBMA ini dapat mengatasi
masalah kesukaran penternak dalam proses pemindahan dan pecah koloni kelulut yang
sering mengalami kegagalan. Inovasi LKBMA ini juga dapat menghasilkan koloni yang
kuat serta proses penggandaan log koloni kelulut dengan lebih cepat. Apabila berlaku
apabila proses pecah log kelulut ditukar kepada log bertingkat bagi proses
penggandaan koloni kelulut. Hasil dari pemerhatian terhadap inovasi LKBMA ini selama
tiga bulan mendapati, kaedah LKBMA atau log kelulut bertingkat menghasilkan koloni
yang kuat, mudah dipindahkan dan dapat menghasilkan madu kelulut yang cepat.
Inovasi ini telah dilaksanakan diladang penternak kelulut di Sabak Bernam. Penyelidik
yakin inovasi ini dapat dimanafaatkan oleh penternak-penternak lebah kelulut dalam
proses menambah koloni log kelulut melalui kaedah Log Kelulut Bertingkat Mudah Alih
atau singkatannya LKBMA.
