지 않는다.
-총 합계를 봉투에 기입하고 회계부에 전달하고 헌금바구니를 잘 보관
한다.

-한 달에 한번씩 행하는 것을 원칙으로 한다.

남가주 사랑의 교회 주일학교는 영.유아부터 어린이들과 청소년들을 대상으로 “영감있는 뿌리교육”이라는 교육청
학을 가지고 지도하고 있습니다. 본 교회 주임학교 현장은 미래의 이민사회 뿐만 아니라 세계룹 품는 천국인재를
양성하는 모판으로서 한 인격을 구원화，성숙화，제자화를 만드는데 촛점움 두고 있습니다.

General Call to Youth Ministry

A. Love them

The call is to love teenagers as they are and let them know that they are loved.

Usually, students experience conditional love at home (If you get an A, then ."，If you are good, then ...) Parents
offer rewards if they behave (or do as they say) and punish them if they fail (don’t do what they say). Teenagers
have developed obligation to perform if they are to be loved by others. Their view of God is similar to their experi­
ence at home where they don*t feel loved unless they are good. Many teenagers have difficult time accepting the
concept unconditional love. The society tells them that unless they are successful or look beautiful outside they
are not worth much. They struggle with a deadly disease low self-esteem. Many of them will even attempt sui­
cide due to the fact that they are not good enough for anything.

Our students need to be loved unconditionally. Its an experiencial love more than just cognitive or verbal. Those
experience we create with them will have long>lasting impact in their life. The church is responsible to communi­
cate the same message that Jesus spoke. Jesus doesn't put any requirement except for followers to believe the
Good news and trust Him as a Savior. The real transformation comes after tasting unconditional love of Jesus
Christ.

However, Love has many dimensions.:Love is more than just emotional sentiments or just a warm-fuzzy feeling.
Love requires toughness but it’s different than putting conditions. Tough love comes with discipline and firmness.
The church’s role is to communicate clearly how Jesus loved his people. He loved people but hated sin and he
rebuked ungodliness at different occasions. His love was definitely different than those of Pharisee or teachers of
the Law. The model that Jesus portrayed will be our example. We are to love these teenagers but we are also oblig­
ated to preach and teach them about ungodliness of our generation. This teaching of repentance will be effective
only when there’s trust and intimacy between a student and a teacher. Our aim is to build solid relationship with
students (as much as we can) in order to love them and allow Spirit to transform their ideas, actions, thoughts and
the whole life.

B. Teenagers Need Adult Role Models.

The kids will forget sermon titles or the lesson verses but they usually remember the room temperature where it
was being taught. They forget programs but they will remember people. Our presence in their lives and willing­
ness to pay attention to the kids in youth group will have significant influence in their lives. They need life exam­
ples more than just a cheap talk. They need to see visually, hear audibly and actually touch the real examples.

Someone said to a youthworker, “ you might be the only Jesus your student knows". Many student do not put their
trust in religion due Atheistic assumptions of society and school lessons. No longer teachers can freely teach in
public school setting about God and Jesus Christ. Atheism, agnosticism, and Nihilism rules our society. In order
to pursuade these students growing up in a secular world, God speaks through people for them to be His letter to
the world. Teenagers need to have roles models whom they can rely upon.

Jesus hung around with his disciples for three years. Most of his time was in informal setting than formal teaching
setting. We need to change the mindset that Sunday lesson doesnl begin and end on Sunday morning. It begins
after or before actually teaching time.

The church’s role is to provide these adult role models whom students can identify with. They need a friend before
a teacher. Teaching begins as the relationship is being built and and intimacy is established.

C. Find Their Own Identity.

Psychologists and educators speak of identity crisis teens go through in adolescent years. Many teenagers will
look to different things or people to find their identity. Second or 1.5 generation who are in teen years face extreme­
ly harsh obstacles finding who they due to different cultural and societal barriers. However, a teachefs role is not
helping them to establish just “Self-Image” but it to guide them to find “God-image” in their lives. The scripture tells
us that we are made in His image. Before a person is a Korean or an American, one needs to be confronted by
high truth-he is a child of God.

Often parents try to re-live their dreams by making their kids to be the product of their own ambition. Churches are
guilty as well. We often want our kids to behave in a certain way because it will be easier to deal with them. The
church’s role is different. We have the responsibility to encourage each students to become what God wants them
to be. This means that they will make many mistakes and experience failures but it*s the process in which God is
transforming them.

We need to make rooms for kids to make mistakes and find God through the choices they make. Only then, it will
be a personal relationship with Jesus instead of receiving leftover faith from adults.

Ministry Goal

1. Build Staff Team

Our church has over 350 students from English department and over 100 students from Korean department. Our
group represent more than 100 different schools ranging from students who live in Beverly Hills to kids who live in
the ghetto. The massive diversity requires multiple staff team and the need to developed more leaders.

Curretnly, English department has total of 7 staff including myself and two more staff from Korean Department.
Many Korean churches along with all youth ministry experience high turn-over rate of youth pastors leaving the
ministry within 18 months of ministry. According to one survey, by the time a student graduate from high school,
he or she will have at least 5-6 different youth pastors or even more number of teachers. According to Christian
Education survey, it takes at least 3 years to have a significant impact in a studenfs life. There is an urgent need
to develop staff with long-term goals and to equip each leaders to have the burden for youth ministry.

Our goal is to build a team of staff who will commit themseves to youth ministry. The need is beyond just Korean
churches or churches in American. Missiological prediction states that by the year 2000, the median age of the
world population will be 17. Some large cities in the world, like Mexico city or cities in Africa has median age of
14. The world is also crying out for help to reach out to these young people. Billy Graham Evangelical Assoiciation
concluded that 85% of Christians have committed their life before the age of 18. If that number is correct, then it
seems obvious to spend over 85 % of all the resources to reach people under the age of 18.

There’s urgent need to produce more youth workers and leaders who will tackle the problems of today*s society by
working with teenagers. It is a personal conviction to invest as much resources to bring more people to this team.
My role will be to supervise, offer guidance and distribute ownership to each staff entering our ministry.

The staff team will need guidance but eventually they will be encouraged take the ownership of ministry. The phi­
losophy behind this is :

OMC need to produce more leaders. Building leaders means investing time, effort and all the resources for each
young leaders to make mistakes and equip themselves to be a better servant. When more value is added to a
trained leader, the ministry multiplies.

Example When values or opportunities are added to each leader

2. Discipleship - Onekida Tatime

Jesus commanded us to make disciples by going, Baptising, and teaching others to obey all the Jesus had com­
manded. He spent three years with 12. During those years, he included life-changing curriculum-the word of God
and also the living word that became flesh.

Our goal is to cover at least 20 students by staff and 20 more by volunteer staff to cover following materials by the
end of May of 1997.

Specific Roles as a Teacher

As a member of OMC Ybuth Dept, staff/teaching team, you are to fulfill following responsibilities. You are to faith­
fully minister to students in the following areas.

Mandatory :

1] Sunday Worship
• Y〕u are required to come at the latest by 9:30 a.m. and prepare yourself for Lord's Day.
• You are required to actively get involved in worship at 10:00 a.m. Please try your best to sit next to your
students if you can because it will have an significant impact.
• Ydu are required to actively engaging in teaching and leading discussion group with your students
after the service (11 a.m. -11:45 a.m.)
•You are required to attend weekly meeting (Drawing Near). You are allowed to miss one per month but
try your best not to miss more than that.

2] 36 Hours/Summer or Winter Retreat
• \bu must set aside time to attend 36 Hours and Summer or Winter Retreat. We undersatand emergency
situations or your busy schedule but plan ahead of time and block out those dates. If you cannot
make those day, please let JDSNs know ahead of time.

제 1 조 목적

1항. 본 교회는 피교육자들이 선교，교육, 봉사를 통해 훌륭한 하나님의 사람으로 교회와 사회에
성실히 봉사할수 있도록 교육하고저 교육위원회와 교육부을 둔다.

2항. 교육위원회는 교회의 당회내에 속하는 위원회로 장기및 단기 교육정책올 수립하고 이에 따라
교육과정올 결정하고, 교육현황을 평가분석하여 각급 교회학교운영올 연구 검토 하여 교육에
관한 전반적인 정책을 수립한다.

3항. 교육부는 교육위원회의 정책에 따라 어린이，청소년, 청년을 하나님의 사람으로 온전케
교육하며 모든 선한 일올 행하기에 온전케 하고저 성경을 가르치며 기독교 교육을 철저히

실시한다.

4항. 교육부는 교회 학교교육을 위하여 어린이교회 학교，청소년교회학교, 대학교회 학교，청년교회학
교, 특수교회학교, 특별활동학교 （한국학교，AWANA., Handbell Choir, AngeFs Choir）,

A. 어린이교회학교

만 0 세부터 5학년까지의 어린이들올 교육한다.

1） 유아부 : 만 3세이하의 어린이들을 성인 예배시 보아준다.

2） 영아부 : 만 4 세이하의 어린이들올 말씀으로 교육한다.

제 2 조 인사 조직과 임무

1항. 교육 위원회는 교육 목사를 포함한 전임교역자, 교육부에 임명된 장로들과 교육본부
차장집사들로 구성 되며 위원장은 당회에서 임명한 장로로 한다.

2항. 교육본부는 교육목사, 전담교역자, 부장장로，그리고 본부 차장요원으로 구성된다. 각급 교회학
교는 지도교역자，교적학교 장로，차장집사, 총무, 서기，회계 그리고 교사와 학생으로 구성되며
그외의 교육부 산하 기관들온 부장장로 또는 차장집사와 총무및 필요한 임원으로 구성되며
그임무는 아래와 같다.

1. 제 1 교육부

A. 교육부 목사
교회 목표및 교회학교 목표 달성올 위해 당회의 방침에 따라 교육부 전체 조직및 관리의 책임을 지며
당회에게 보고한다.

1) 교육부 교역자, 실무자, 교사들의 영성 개발과 발전을 도모한다.
2) 제 1교육부의 예배 책임자
3) 교회학교 전담교역자와 지도교역자회의 소집 (매주)
4) 제 1교육부의 전체 행사와 교재 개발을 심의하며 최종결정을 한다.
5) 제 1교육부의 매년 계획및 예산을 검토하며 최종결정을 한다.
6) 제 1교육부 전체에 청빙하는 외부강사의 자격을 허락을 심의하며 교육부장및 해당부서

지도교역자와 실무자와 논의하여 초청을 허락또는 당회에 추천 한다.
7) 외부로 나가는 모든 인쇄물，포스터 그리고 신문/Media 광고 심사 최종허락한다.
8) 교회학교 교역자의 평가，사례조절과 각부 교역자인사를 교육위원회의 인준을 받아 실행한다.

B. 교육부 장로
교육부의 각 교육부，각 부서의 조직화, 각부서 간의 조정문제, 임원단의 구성, 재정관리, 시설관리，
홍보，출판 예산작성등의 업무들을 책임진다.

C. 교육부 차장
교육목사와 교육부 장로를 보좌하며 교육부 전체의 조직, 재정관리, 시설관리，홍보, 출판

예산작성등의 업무들올 책임진다. 교육부 실무자들의 훈련과 교역자들의 여러문제들을 해결하는 것을
돕는다. 교육부의 원할한 운영 을 위 하여 아래와 같은 부를 두고 담당부서 차장들과 협 력 하여 교육부의
여러 행사들을 효과적으로 운영한다.

1) 교육기획부 차장
- 교육부의 모든 새로운 교육프로그램을 계획하고, 실시하며，조정하는 업무를 수행한다.
- 교육부 예산을 매년 해당부서와 예산위원회와 협의하여 책정한다.

2) 교육훈련부 차장
- 교육실무자, 교사들의 자질 향상과 새로운 교육 프로그램 개발을 위해 대내외적으로 각종
훈련올 통해 기독교 교육 전반에 걸친 교육올 실시한다.
- 교사 모집 , 교육부 자원봉사자들의 활용 업무도 함께 수행한다.
- 교사 기록 관리를 책임진다.

3) 교육관리부 차장
- 교육부 모든 자산과 재정관리를 책임진다.
- 교육부 예산과 재정을 집행한다.

4) 교육 새신자부 차장
- 교육부의 모든 새로오는 학생관리를 책임진다.
- 교육부의 모든 새로오는 학생부모의 안내및 홍보를 책임진다.

4) 교육 장학부 차장
« 교육부의 산하 신학교에 재학 중인 교역자의 장학금 관리 및 지 급올 통괄한다.

2. 교회학교

A. 전담교역자

교회학교 목표 달성올 위해 교육목사의 방침에 따라 교회학교 조직및 관리의 책임을 지며
교육목사에 게 제 반 사항올 보고하며 상의 한다.

1) 각급 교회학교 예배와 목회를 책임 집행한다.
2) 각부 담당 전도사들과 회의 주관
3) 교회학교 사용 교재 개발과 선택을 하며 교육국 목사의 허락하에 실행한다.
4) 외부강사 청 빙 시 부장장로및 해 당부서 지도교역자와 논의 하여 교육국 목사 허 락과

당회 인준을 받아 실행한다.
5) 교사들의 영적 성장을 도모하며 교사심방과 교사육성을 실행한다.
6) 교사임명올 교육국 목사에게 추천한다.
7) 학부형회의를 (PTA)를 소집하고 활성화 시킨다.

B. 교회학교부장장로

교회학교의 행정의 책임자로서 예산과 재정의 책임올 지며 아래의 업무를 담당한다.
1) 교회학교의 예산 편성및 감독및 집행
2) 교육관리부의 제출되 는 교회 학교와 각부와의 지출 결의서에 감독한다.
3) 교회 학교 교사임명을 교육위원회를 통하여 당회에 추천한다.
4) 각종 행사진행과 결과를 감독한다.

C. 교회학교차장

교회학교 교역자와 부장장로를 도와 원활한 교회학교의 운영을 집행한다.
1) 각종 행사 실행을 책임진다.
2) 교육부 실무자 회의를 참석하며 각부의 행사보고및 계획을 발표한다. (매달)
3) 각부의 문제들을 파악하며 해결하도록 도와준다,

D. 지도교역자

대체로 신학교에 재학중인 전도사로 Part Time으로 맡겨진 각부의 아래와 같은 사항올 책임진다.
1) 교회학교의 목표와 부합되는 각부 목표 달성
2) 주일예배 순서 작성및 관장하며 설교를준비한다.
3) 기 타학생 모임 올주관한다.
4) 교사의 영적 성장올 도모한다.
5) 교사의 공과 준비를 책임진다.
6) 학생심방을 관리및 총괄한다.

E. 부서 차장

대체로 안수집사로 맡은부서의 전반적인 행정을 관장한다.
1) 운영 계획 수립
2) 교사 문제점 을 파악하고 신임 교사에 힘쓴다.
3) 각부의 진행을 총괄적으로 감독 지도
4) 예산 집행, 지출 결의서 작성한다.
5) 각종교사회의 주관및 소집

6) 지도 교역자와 협의하여 총무，서기및 필요한 위원임명을 추천한다

F. 각부 총무

각부에서 추천된 집사 또는 교사로서 맡온부서의전반적인 행정올 실행한다. 차장유고시 차장직올
대행한다.

1) 월 보고서 작정
2) 교재 관리
3) 예산에 의한 예산 집행 확인
4) 교사회의 진행
5) 각종 서무 업무 관장
6) 각부에 필요 물품 구입 공급
7) 예산편성
8) 반편성과교사 배치를한다.
9) 예정된 모든 행사를 기획，준비 그리고 집행한다.

G. 서기
교회학교 제반 문서및 기록 정리및 보관

1) 교사주소록

3) 결석생 카드 발행
4) 학생 출，결석 상황 파악
5) 물품 구입 신청
6) 회의록정리
7) 행사 기록및 보관
8) 매월 반별 출결석 상황과 신입생 등록 상황을 월례회에 보고한다.

H. 회계

1) 재정 관리및 경리를 담당한다
2) 모든 재정 지출은 근거 서류 (영수증) 올 첨부하여 월별로 정리한다
3) 매월 재정 상황을 각부 월례회에 보고한다.
4) 매 Quarter 마다 예산 집행 내역올 교육관리부에 보고한다.

7 항. 교육부 내의 모든 인사는 교육목사의 추천으로 당회에서 임명하여 임기는 1년으로 한다.

제 2 장 학제

1 항. 교회학교 학년은 6월 첫주부터 5월 마지막 주일까지로 한다.

2 항. 학급 편성은 1년에 한번 하는것을 원칙으로 한다.

제 3 장 교회 학교 교사

1 항. 교회학교 교사는 정교사，보조교사로 구분하며 자격을 교육부가 추천하여 교육목사의 심의를 거쳐
당회에서 임명한다.

A. 정교사
1) 본교회 출석세례교인으로 거듭난 체험이 있고 기독교 교육에 전념할수 있는 성숙한 신앙의
소유자.
2) 본교회 주일 대예배에 참석하는자
3) 교사 훈련 과정을 수료한자

B. 보조 교사
1) 본교회 출석세례교인으로 거듭난 체험이 있고 기독교 교육에 전념할수 있는 성숙한 신앙의
소유자.
2) 본교회 주일 대예배에 참석하는자
3) 교사 훈련 과정을 받아야할 자

2 항. 교사의 직무

1) 공과 학습 준비모임에 필히 참석하여 공과 준비에 만전을 기한다.
2) 반드시주일온 대예배에 참석하여야 하며 가급적 그외의 본교회 공예배 에 참석하여 교회의

모범을 보이며 가르치기에 앞서 자신의 영적 성장을 도모하여야 한다.
3) 교회학교 행사와 모임에 적극적으로 참여 하여야 한다.
4) 교사는 특히 결석생에대해 특별한 관심을 갖고 결석 학생은 아래의 원칙에 따라 처리하도록

한다.
A. 1주일 결석시엔 결석 카드를 발송한다.
B. 2주일 결석시엔 전화로 심방한다.
C. 3주일 결석시엔 다시 한번 전화하고 결석 카드를 발송한다.
D. 4주일 때엔 부장 장로, 지도 목사께 보고하고 심방한다.

3 항. 교사 후보자는 교육목사와 담당교역자에게 추천한다.

1) 교육부에서는 제 3장 1, 2항에 기재한 교사의 자격을 갖추었는지 확인한다.
2) 신임교사 훈련 프로그램에 등록 시키며 동시에 교육부에서 가장 합당하다고 판단되는

교회 학교에 보조교사로 임 명하고 소정 교사 훈련 과정을 마치면 교육부의 추천으로
정교사로 당회의 임명을 받도록한다.
3) 합당한 교회학교 선정은 각 교회학교의 교사와 학생수의 현황과 본인의 적성을 참작 하여
결정한다.

제 4장 •모 임

1 항. 교육부 교회학교와 기관들의 상호 긴밀한 연락과 유대 그리고 행사의 원활한 진행과 시간상의
중첩 을 피하기 위 하여 다음과 같은 모임올 갖는다.

A. 교육부 실무자회의

매월 세째주 지정된 날에 교육목사가 소집하며 각 교회학교 교역자，차장가 참석하며 각 기관간의
행사 날짜조정, 인력보충，장소 요청및 행사 진행에 필요한 모든 행사의 원활한 진행을 할수 있도록
한다. 또한 각급 교회학교 또는 기관에 알려야할 교육부의 행사를 소개한다. 필 에 따라 각부
차장및 총무도 소집 및 참석 할수 있다. 교육위 원들은 참석하여 회의 안건을 듣고 당회 에 올린 안건을
교육위원회에서 토의한다.

B. 교회학교각부실무자회의

각부 지도교역자가 소집하여 각부의 부장장로, 차장，총무, 서기 및 회계가 참석하며 각부
월례회에서 결의된 사항에 대한 보고를 받고 합의를 보지못한 사항들을 토의한다.

C. 각부 회의

각부 에서는 아래에 명시한 회의는 정기적으로 갖는다.
1) 월례회
매월 마지 막 주 각급 교회학교에서 합의한 날에 차장 또는총무가 소집을 하여 지난 한달동안
행사들을 분석및 평가하며 다음달에 있올행사들을 의논한다.

2) 공과 공부 모임

각부 교사들은 적어도 한주일에 한번 이상 함께모여 다음 주일에 가르칠 공과에 대한 준비를
하도록 한다.

제 5 장 예배와 성경 공부

1 항. 각급 교회학교의 궁극적인 목표는 학생들에게 그리스도인으로서 성숙한 신앙의 자질을 키워 전도와
선교에 힘쓰게 하는 것으로 예배에 대한 훈련과 하나님 말씀을 바르게 배우도록 하기 위하여
은혜스러운 예배와 삶에 변화를 주는 좋은 성경공부를 정기적으로 실시 하도록 한다.

2 항. 예배와 성경공부의 시간을 대예배시간와 맞추어 부모와 함께 귀가할 수있도록 하는 것을 원칙으로
한다.

A. 예배
예배의 최소한 갖추어야 할 순서들은 찬송, 기도, 설교이며 그 이외의 순서는 각부의필요에 따라서
더 할 수도있다. 설교는 복사나 전도사가 하는 것을 원칙으로 하고 필요에따라서는 교사들이 할수도
있다. 외부에서 설교자를 초청할 경우에는 교육부에 미리 신청하여 당회 또는 당회장으로터
허가를받은후에 초청할 수 있다. 적어도 한달전에 허가 신청을 하여야한다.

B. 성경공부
교육부에서 인준한 교재로 학생들을 지도하며 기도로서 시작하며 기도로서 마친다.

C. 교재선택
각급 교회 학교에서 사용하는 교재는 교육목사，그리고 각 교회 학교 교역자로 구성되 는 위원회 에서
연구 선택하며 교육 위원회에서 최종결정올 하도록 한다.

D. 언어
예배와 성경공부때 사용하는 언어는 우리말을 사용하도록 권장하되 의사 전달에 불편이 있을때는
적합한 언어를 사용해도 무방하다.

제 6장 진행 절차

1 항. 모든 행사는 2개월 전에 상세한 계획서를 작성한다. 계획서는 부장 장로와 전담교역자의 인가를
받는다.

2 항. 외부 강사를 초청할 경우는 적어도 6개월 전부터 찾기 시작하여 4개월전 까지는 초빙 강사
후보자를 인적사항과 함께 교육부에 제출하여 교육목사의 허가를 받도록한다.

3 항. 기타 모든 외부 연기자들도 적어도 1개월전에는 교육부에 그 허가서를 제출하여 교육부에
제출하여 교육목사_ 허가를 받도록한!^•.

4 항. 외부로 나가는 인쇄물，포스터 또는 신문공고는 인쇄에 들어가가전 지도교역자의 허가를 받은후
교육국에 제출하여 교육목사의 최종 허가를 받는다.

5 항. 외부 기관에서 청탁하는 인쇄물 또는 설문지의 배부는 지도교역자와 부장의 허락을 받아야 하며
교육목사에게 통보 하여야 한다.

제 7 장 교외 활동
1 항. 교회 밖에서 학생들과 함께 모이는 교회활동과 관련된 모든 모임은 교외 활동 허가서를 사전에

제출하여 지도교역 자 와 부장 장로의 허가를 받은후 교육부와 교회 사무실에 허가서 사본을 보내
통보한다. 미성년이 참석할 경우는 서면으로 부모의 허락을 받은후 활동에 참여한다
（양식참조）. 허가서에 기재된 도착 시간보다 늦어질 경우에는 교회 사무실에 연락하여 그
사유와 변경된 계획올 통보하여야 한다.
2 항. 교회 버 스를 사용할 경 우는 사용 허가서를 총무를 통하여 교회 사무실에 제출하고 그 사본을
교육부에 제출한다.

제 8장 서식
각급 교회학교는 아래에 기재된 별첨의 약식을 공통되게 사용하므로 서식의 일원화를 기한다.

MINISTRIES

Sunday Worship

The entire body of the college ministry gathers each Sunday to celebrate and worship our Lord by
presenting ourselves as living sacrifices and to receive Scriptural instruction for healthy Christian
living. Currently the Sunday worship is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. in Sanctuary B.

Small Group Ministry

Each Sunday the entire college congregation will be grouped into small cell groups as apportioned by
the ministry to be taught and kept accountable with the group leader for hands-on interaction with a
small number of other believers. The primary foci are to maintain close fellowship and
accountability, and the discussion of Scriptural teachings. Both English and Korean speaking classes
meet separately for their lingual efficiency. Currently the small groups are meeting at 2:00 p.m. on
Sundays in Sanctuary B.

Weekend Evening Bible Fellowship

Once a week the entire congregation is encouraged to participate in the study of Scripture and to
worship and praise our Savior at church along with church sponsored activities that are designed to
enhance the community of the believers. Currently two fellowship meetings are held. The English-
speaking fellowship gathers Saturday nights at 7:00 in Sanctuary C and the Korean-speaking
fellowship gathers Friday nights at 6:30 in Building F.

Discipleship

Committed believers are accepted into a very small group to meet outside of church to be engaged
in discipleship. This is geared for serious believers who desire to train and discipline themselves
under the close supervision of the discipler, to be equipped to disciple someone else eventually.

Missions

The goal of this ministry is to enable our young people to be world Christians by participating in
world missions by either going in person or supporting in any means possible. Each summer a large
segment of the college student body is engaged in training and going to the four corners of the world
to participate in cross cultural missions. Some students are sent on longer terms of one to two years
as well.

Outreach

This ministry attempts to go out to the highways and byways of surrounding communities to help the
less fortunate in practical manners. Visiting hospitals, convalescent homes, shelters, international
students, orphanages, homeless feeding ministries and etc. are envisioned in this ministry. We are
currently involved in feeding the homeless in Santa Ana along with the main congregation.

College Pastor

Oversee all aspects of the college ministrx and be accountable to the session.
Teach and preach to the congregation «is the spiritual leader.
Appoint, delegate, and facilitate appropriate people for different aspects of the ministry.

Ministry Coordinators

Closely oversee and direct overall college ministry within the particular lingual group (i.e., either
Korean speaking or English speaking*.
Attend the weekend ministries and lead them as needed.
Represent college ministry where needed.
Lead the Bible Study teachers' training.
Serve as the Sunday School reserve teacher.
Be involved in discipling the students.
Build a close knit personal relationships with the students.

Support Croup

Act as liaison between the mother church and the college ministry.
Take care of all financial matters.

Supervise all inter-church related ministries.
Prepare and execute Ministry Opportunity Day.

Inreach/Newcomer

This ministry is designed to reach out to people who come into our local body of Christ. Newcomers
and people who desire to join our church are reached through activities and other community
strengthening ministries. This committee complies and updates the student directory.

Praise/Music/Choir

Students will form both praise leading teams, choir, and bands in order to praise God in various
musical means. Whenever congregational worship takes place, this committee supervises the
musical aspect of the setting.

Publicatidn/Media

This is a ministry through literature, film, and other means of communication. Sunday bulletins,
periodic newsletters, and flyers will be composed and distributed by this ministry team to inform and
educate our congregation and abroad. Currently English and Korean newsletters are published.
They are respectively titled Bethel Kairos and ChungJee Chee.

Service

This is a ministry for anyone who desires to serve God by doing intensive manual activities. Physical
up-keeping of the facilities is one of the biggest tasks of this ministry.

Fellowship

This ministry attempts to promote godly fellowship of the college group congregation. They are
responsible for the development of Christ-centered games, activities, and other social events. They
also supervise the serving of refreshments.

Utility

This is the handy-person ministry. This committee will serve to meet the various expected and
unexpected needs for the ministry. This committee will coordinate with other committees to assist
in anyway possible for the effective overall ministry development.

TAB

T.A.G. stands for "Take And Give." This ministry is established to reach out to the local college
campuses by informing and linking students to Bethel College Ministry. Currently TAG is a registered
club at UCI.

Attend Sunday morning prayer/prep. meetings.

FELLOWSH'P MiNfSTRV' ᄂ

Encourage everyone to fellowship with one another in the classes.

Bring refreshments for the group (optional; budget can be set aside).

Elect group leaders or representatives almost like a separate group.

Cooperate with other small group leaders to form inter-class associations.

Sponsor inter-class activities (athletics, singing, etc.).

Assist the college officers as counselors.

Officers

PRESIDENT
The president is responsible for working closely with the college pastor and the ministry coordinator
in planning and evaluating events, leading the officers in actualizing the vision for college ministry,
leading weekly officer meetings with pertinent agenda, encouraging the officers in the execution of
their various ministries, communicating with the Sunday School teachers to incorporate more unified
teamwork, working with the Korean-speaking leaders in the organization of events, being the
representative of the college ministry for Bethel Korean Church, delegating responsibilities within the
officer group, praying diligently and faithfully for the health and spiritual growth of our ministry, and
presiding over the worship.

VICE PRESIDENT (WORSHIP COORDINATOR)/GENERAL SECRETARY
This vice president is responsible for the overall coordination of the Sunday worship service,
including choosing different members from the congregation to execute duties, making sure they are
there to do it and informing the bulletin person of who is doing it. This vice president will also work
closely with the president and the other vice president in the development of various ministry
events. Communication between these three core servants is essential.

VICE PRESIDENT (ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR)/GENERAL SECRETARY
This vice president is responsible for the overseeing of all college group fellowship and social events.
He/She is responsible for the delegation of all duties to the servants and volunteers and making sure
that everyone does his/her job. This vice president must be present at all events and is responsible
for developing creative and innovative activities to foster a more unified and actively participating
congregation. He/She must keep in mind our vision for the college group and plan activities that
work toward that goal. This vice president will also work closely with the president and the other
vice president in the development of various ministry events. Communication between these three
core servants is essential.

SECRETARY
The secretary is responsible for taking minutes in each officer and monthly servants' meeting and
informing the absentees of what took place at each meeting by providing them a copy of the minutes
or informing them personally. The minutes need to be recorded in the computer for future
reference. The secretary must also prepare the Sunday bulletin for each worship service, make the
necessary copies for the congregation, and do the announcements each Sunday service. The
secretary is also the church historian, meaning that all our activities will be documented for future
reference (with pictures) and he/she needs to record all events and file them.

TREASURER
The treasurer needs to be responsible in the handling of financial matters and record keeping. The
treasurer works with the deacon of the support group on the budget and reimbursement of money.
The English-speaking and Korean-speaking treasurers also count the offering on Sundays. The
treasurer works with the officers in letting them know how much money has been budgeted for
activities, and can provide some money for preparation when needed.

Committee Chair

These people are responsible for recruiting the congregation into their committees to effectively carry
out the necessary demands of the committee tasks. Chairpersons need to initiate and execute while
coordinating with the other servants. They are directly supervised by the officer group.

Ministries

Sunday Worship

The entire body] of the children ministry gathers each Sundag to celebrate and worship our Lord by pre­
senting ourselves living sacrifices and to recieve the Scriptural instruction for health싱 Christian liv­
ing. There are three Sunday services: 2nd Service 9:45am to 10:30am; 3rd Service 11:45pm to 12:30pnx
4th Service 1:45pm to 2:30pm— in the T building.

Sundav] School

Each Sunday the children ministry gathers to have small group Sunday School led and taught k닛 teach­
ers. Our primarg focus for Sunday school is for close fellowship, accoutabilitxj, and discussion of the
Scriptural teachings. There are three Sunday school times: 2nd Service 9:00am to 9:45am; 3rd Service
11:00pm to ll:4Spm; 4th Serviced 1:00pm to 1:45— located in the *E* and *F* building.

Awana

Awana's goal is to reach boys and girls for the gospel of Christ to train them to serve our Lord. A
Friday night program consisting of game time, hand-book timft and counsel time. The Awana program
is on Friday nights from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.(Sept to Jtme)

베＞iscipleship/Friday Night Programs

Discipleship is committed believers accepted into 幻nail groups and pursue intensive discipleship. The
Friday Night Program is an activity based night focused on fellowship and learning abotxt Christ
Discipleship is on Frida상 nights from 7:30pm to 9:30pm for Sth and Sth graders(July to Aug,》. Friday
Night Program is 分om 7:30pm to 9:30pm for K to 4th graders(Jul\j to Aug.).

Children Events

Happen throughout the whole 상 ear ranging from Christmas Production Haleighluia Ni^ht Children's
Summer Camp, VBS and much more. The Children Events are activities tfiat are geared to serve and
excite the children for Christ

Praise/Music

Teachers form praise leading teams to praise and worship God throu^i various musical means*

Servants support

Children's Pastor

Oversees all aspects of the children ministry and is accoutable to the mother church
Teach and preach to the congregation as the.
Appoints mid delegates appropriate people for different aspects of the ministry.
Pastoral care and counseling.

Assistant Children's Director

Assist the children's pastor oversee all aspects of the children ministry
Represent children、: ministry where needed.
Attend the weekend ministries and lead them as needed.
Assist in leading and delegating appropriate people for different aspects of the ministry.
Help plan and organize the upcoming Children^ Events

Deacon Support Group

Liason between the mother church and the children's ministry.
All finance matters go through the support group.

Standards and Requirements
•As a worker in children's ministry，it is the teacher’s responsibility toward
Bethel Korean Church and agree to attend a worship service regularly
•Attend the morning devotions
•Attend the teacher's meetings/ellowships and trainings.
•Knowing the value of a good example, to make a practice to be on time for
each session and event
•Purpose to be present at each weekly meeting of your assigned ministry. If
it is necessary for you to be absent notify the children's pastor as earlg as
possible and assist in finding a replacement
•Be chosen to pra상 at offering time and appointed to preside
•Be involved in at least (1) major event of the children's ministry (VBS, Camp,
Christmas musical Maleighltiia Night etc.)
Responsible of planning budgeting and also dis仕ibuting p幻mission slips
for field trips
•Attend the teacher’s retreat
•Attend CMTA Convention (Sunday School Teacher’s Convention)
