PROJECT W.A.T.C.H. CULMINATING PROGRAM

Punctuality and honesty are more than just values; they are the building blocks of good governance.
Both define the success of any undertakings by personal or by community who shared the same aspirations
and goals. Categorically, as the adage says “time is gold” to denote punctuality and wise utilization of time
affect efficiency and success and honesty pined it as commitment to oneself to do the desirable and expected
tasks even unsupervised.

We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty (W.A.T.C.H.)

Theme: “Instilling the Culture of Honesty and Time Consciousness Amidst Pandemic”
Being on time to appointments and meetings is a phase of self-discipline and evidence of

self-respect. Punctuality is a courteous compliment the intelligent person pays to
his associates.

-Marvin J. Ashton
Punctuality is a valuable personality quality that should be praised and
respected. Punctuality demonstrates a person's regard for both people and
time. In a scheduled appointment, the latecomer frequently conveys the
idea that he/she does not value the other person's time or that his/her time
is more important than the other's.
Honesty is the firm basis upon which relationships may be established, as
can mutually trust and respect. It is critical for a pupil to understand that
once trust has been shattered, it is difficult to regain. Thus, rather of
punishing immoral behavior, a clear focus should be placed on honesty.

To be fully aware about the objective of project W.A.T.C.H. we include the
program in our weekly home learning plan and class observation.

We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty (W.A.T.C.H.)
Theme: “Instilling the Culture of Honesty and Time Consciounsess Amidst

Pandemic”

We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty (W.A.T.C.H.) is a collaborative value
advocacy initiative with the goal of instilling the virtue of timeliness and honesty in our students.
This program is seen as a key step toward bringing about a profound transformation in the lives
of our youngsters. As young as they are, kids must practice and apply the importance of these two
essential concepts.

In line with this project, the Grade One teachers integrate the lesson in one of our subject
which is Mother Tongue Based through video of the story “ Si Langgam at Si Tipaklong”
inculcating the values of Honesty and promptness. The integration of honesty and importance of
time management in our lesson especially in MTB is very timely because of the mode of learning
that we had now. We really need to motivate our learners to do their assigned task with honesty
and integrity and on doing and passing the task on time.

The value of honesty and punctuality cannot be taught but they can be caught by
simply modeling the practice and making it a habit. Awareness of the benefits we can derive from
this program is indeed important most especially to the young ones. We really need to inculcate
and impart this core values for them to be at the right path.

We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty (W.A.T.C.H.)
Theme: “Instilling the Culture of Honesty and Time Consciounsess Amidst

Pandemic”
“Honesty is the best policy”. This is one of the many reasons why it is important that this Filipino
value needs to be developed among our pupils. Once it has been developed in them, other values or good
moral attributes will follow like punctuality and promptness.
Today’s learning modality is done virtually so teachers find it difficult to assess the pupils’ academic
performance. By developing the pupils, to be honest in their studies, pupils will learn not to cheat for
they know that it is not right to do it even if no one sees them. As a result, the teachers can rely on them
for their submitted performance tasks and assessment results.

Honesty and Time Consciousness are the foundation for trust that we must impart to our
learners. Thru honesty it helps in developing good attributes like kindness, discipline, and moral integrity.
The integration of honesty and importance of time management in our lesson especially in MTB is very
timely because of the mode of learning that we had now. We really need to motivate our learners to do

being honest and time consciousness. With this strategy they will be much

motivated to do their task om time with honesty and integrity. So proud of you
kids. Keep it up!

RIZAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – Campaign on Project W.A.T.C.H.

Project W.A.T.C.H. is one of the essential projects that RES implemented because this
is not only for the pupils but also for us, teachers. This project is continuously performed by
the pupils and teachers to show how important it is. Mrs. Rochiel B. Angel, One – Macopa
adviser discussed another lesson regarding honesty and time consciousness.

Ma’am Angel presents a story entitled “Si Langgam at si Tipaklong”.
She gives the moral lesson on this story, which is connected on WATCH
program, the time consciousness.

Mrs. Angel asks questions regarding the story they watched. Pupils actively
participated and give their best to answer the given questions.

RIZAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – Campaign on Project W.A.T.C.H.

One of the best ways to instill values especially to learners is by incorporating them to stories since
they love such especially at their young age. As teachers in grade one, we must be creative in choosing
the appropriate story for our daily lessons in Mother Tongue and Filipino in instilling the culture of
honesty and time consciousness.

RIZAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – Campaign on Project W.A.T.C.H.

Punctuality is the characteristic of being able to complete the given task or
obligation on time or before the designated time. Honesty is a character that connotes
positive and virtuous attributes such as truthfulness and straightforwardness. Also
involves being trustworthy, loyal, fair and sincere. Having this said character in life is a
great combination for the word success.

The pupil of Grade One Tamarind together with their
adviser participate the said program with the big smile.

Punctuality is an etiquette that encourages us to complete our work in a timely fashion. It also
makes us realize the importance of time. A person who is punctual will always know how to respect their
time and others as well. Students of Grade One Strawberry are attentively listening to the story showing
the lesson of it. They were actively answering the questions showing that they listened very carefully to
the story being presented to them.

Theme: “Working Towards a Culture of Integrity through Honesty and Time”

Project W.A.T.C.H. (We Advocate Time Consciousness and
Honesty) is an advocacy program collaboratively undertaken by various
government organizations especially the Department of Education to
promote and undertake programs that will instill the value of punctuality
and honesty in all sectors of society. Thus, Rizal Elementary School
created activities that surely encourage stakeholders to be part of this
national vision.

To embody the said values further, Grade Two integrated in English
lessons selected stories that portray friendly characters who think, and
act based on truth and time-consciousness. As an example, Teacher
Marijo Balbero, created a story for WHLP (Weekly Home Learning Plan)
on Quarter 4-Week 8 entitled ‘My Best Friend’. It entails a short narrative
of two children who enjoy each other’s company while doing homework
together, passing school tasks on time, etc. Simple and ideal as it
seems, yet the essence of maintaining relationship to others by
reciprocating respect, honesty and punctuality are highlighted for young
learners. Questions about the story were used to dig dip and apply in
real life scenario. Activities given after allowed the pupils construct
simple sentences to show honesty and punctuality in various scenarios
and presented to the class.

In today’s era, in which we are bombarded with latest technology
and digital learning, not to mention the life challenges brought by the
pandemic, punctuality and honesty may seem hard to achieve all the
time. Yes, the reality is we are also experiencing crisis teaching and
learning while dealing with the demands of continuing education. Still,
we should teach kids these basic core values while they are young, since
it fosters morals and work ethic needed by the self and society.

DepED community will adopt and implement Project W.A.T.C.H. (We
Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty) to strengthen the value of
punctuality and honesty as a significant step in bringing about fundamental
change or transformation of society.

Rizal Elementary School enjoined the implementation of Project

W.A.T.C.H. with the theme “Working Towards a Culture of Integrity through Honesty and Time” The

major goal of Project W.A.T.C.H. is to push forward the recognition of
punctuality and honesty as two core values in promoting national renewal
and development. Rationale Advocacy for time consciousness and honesty
is a significant campaign for core development of individuals. If everyone is
punctual and honest there will be a concomitant valuing for self- respect and for
respecting others' time.

In observance of this program, the grade two teachers integrate Project
W.A.T.C.H to the Health subject. It encourages us educators to teach the value
of honesty and punctuality to our young learners in doing their asynchronous

The RES project WATCH primarily aims to strengthen the
value of punctuality and honesty. It also aspires to contribute and to
support the moral renewal program focused on the actualization of the
value of honesty and time consciousness.

In line with the program, last June 13 - 17, 2022, The Grade Six

Integration” in Technology and Livelihood Education (T.L.E), to support
the Project W.A.T.C.H which aims to strengthen the value of punctuality and

Consciousness Amidst Pandemic”.

The Grade Six TLE teachers of Rizal Elementary School full supports the
implementation of Project W.A.T.C.H. (We Advocate Time Consciousness and
Honesty) to strengthen the value of punctuality and honesty as a significant step
in bringing about fundamental change or transformation of society. The TLE
teachers discusses during online classes on recycles the identified
products/waste materials into functional items. In line with the program of
Project WATCH also tackled to the pupils how to perform time consciousness
in making recycled product/project at their performance task.

Inculcating the values of Punctuality and Honesty to learners in this
time of pandemic especially we are on blended modality of learning is
such a difficult one. The conceptof being punctual or right on time and
being honest are no doubt basic values that we should allrecognize, and
that we should all in-still in the minds of our learners.

And finally strengthening the values of the punctuality and honesty
boost the person’s integrityand contribute in one’s successes.

It was indeed a successful subject integration. Kudos to TLE teachers!
