What a fantastic year we’ve had in backing vocals. It’s
been a year of growing as a team and ability. We’ve
been branching more into effectively marrying up our
vocals with the worship leader. We have a very
resilient and strong team of backing vocalists and I
feel a strong sense of trust between us all.

We say farewell to our gorgeous Elizah Pretty as she
prepares for university study- we thank you for your
ongoing commitment to the team. We will miss you!
Looking forward into 2018 we’re full of joy welcoming
back Donna M Williams to the team! Woohoo!

We also hope to launch into some vocal training via
distance in the early part of 2018 which is extremely
exciting for us all.

it’s something I’ve had to re-
learn coming back onto the
roster this year. Backing vocals
has helped heal me and makes
me feel closer to God!

Kelechi Ibegbulem- with great certainty I’ve
grown this year- especially in the trend of
blending into a different music style to my
cultural heritage. I foresee more vocalists
on stage and a choir!

Elizah Pretty- I loved singing with others
who could blend harmonies with me- I
really grew in that area this year

I’d just like to thank all of those who have
been part of the backing vocals ministry this
year. You bring your own joy and flavour to

Bands Report 2017
Zak Wilksch

Report

Wow! What a big 2017 we have had! I would first of all like to thank
Andrew, who has done an amazing job as band leader for a number of
years. He is still a major part of bands and is a massive influence in our
ministry.
Over the last year and a bit we have made some changes to the rostering
system – moving away from set bands, to allow a bit more flexibility and
to also have our musicians mixing with different players.
Everyone has really risen to the challenge, and I think that everyone has
really grown this year in working with people they may not have played
with much before.
We are on a journey as a church of worshippers, and I believe our
amazing musicians have really played with great sensitivity to the Holy
Spirit – creating room and being obedient to what God has got for each
service.
Well done to our amazing band. Thank your for you commitment. It is
very highly valued, and we look forward to what is to come in worship for
2018.

Testimonies

Andrew Graham

2017 has seen some significant changes to the band structure and
functionality, providing band members with more flexibility, and also
requiring more flexibility of them. It has become quite dynamic, but all in
all I have really enjoyed serving in the bands again this year. Our times
of worship have been quite powerful and precious. God is always good.
It is still a privilege for me to be able to serve the people of God through
an instrument, dedicating time and energy to this ministry, and a
privilege to minister unto the Lord. I love serving alongside so many
talented and precious people who love God and who also willingly
dedicate themselves to serving in this area.
This year I have transitioned out of leadership of the bands, handing over
to Zak Wilksch. It’s great to be a part of generational change and looking
forward to the years ahead under Zak’s guidance.

Aaron Jones

I just love to worship and praise our father.
I love any sort of worship that is genuine and from the heart to praise our
God.
Playing in our music ministry has also helped grow my confidence and
also have really enjoyed getting to know our worship team deeper and
make new friendships.

Dale Vaughan

You mentioned grace? ! Haha, I think everyone has needed it for me!!
This has been a year of learning, stretching, failing (or falling on my
very red face), getting up and trying again. God is the Creator and our
Source - my Source with a capital 'S'. He is the source of all creativity
and in my weakness He is made strong. It's about digging down and
drawing from deeper wells. Not giving up but giving all, to Him. I love the
teams (band and vocals) - we all bring something unique. Let's continue
to embrace each other, bear with each other, lock arms and run
together into His presence, opening the gates for others to follow and
enter fully in to the richness that is available to us!

Sound & Lighting & Data
by Tom

Another great year for our audio and visual team! We continue to upgrade our
systems to create the best environment that encourages the congregation and
hopefully even invites people to worship. We have made a number of purchases
to upgrade our vocal quality during our services by purchasing top of the line
Shure microphones that bring an incredible clarity to our sounds system.

We continue to be involved with a number of community events including Red
Cliffs Carols as well as the Mildura Carols and it’s a privilege having the capacity
in our teams and equipment to be able to provide sound and lighting to these
events.

We have also had a number of internal events in the church that have been
fantastic and our volunteer team continues to excel at what they do best.

So MANY thanks to our wonderful volunteers! You give many hours without
question and always with a cheerful heart!

The sound team over the last few years have been planning the upgrade to our
20+yr old PA system, and also updating our house lighting system, to provide the
best possible sound/visuals for every service.

We plan to do some new updates next year to our staging, lighting and data
systems so keep a keen eye out for some beautiful things to happen. We always
want to bring our best in our worship to God and that’s why we strongly believe
in excellence in our department and wish to bring our best not just in attitude
but also in the equipping of our systems to be at the best standard.

Kidz Church Revamp and Snuggle
time with Jesus

Our Kidz Church Revamp & Snuggle Blankets

We had asked the kids at the start of the year what they
would like to see in Kidz church to make it more homely,
warm and inviting. Their response was overwhelming with
many amazing ideas and great suggestions, so after much
discussion and negotiation with the kids we were able to
condense the list to a particular theme that kept arising in
conversation. The need for prayer cubbies, a circle mat for circle time, enough cushions for
every child and KC team members to sit on OR snuggle into, and a general bright cosmetic
revamp of the stage/prayer wall/ and surrounding areas. The result has been an incredibly
special environment for both worshipping and having precious quiet time in the presence
of Jesus. One of the most beautiful moments was when TobyS and Deji walked into the
room and saw the reveal for the first time, Toby just froze and turned & left overwhelmed
by the changes and Deji simply shrieked with Joy and dove into the mountain of cushions.
Toby then returned and said “Is the room staying like this?”. Majella and I replied YES, and
he said “great cause I LOVE it” – and promptly joined his brother rolling in the cushions.
Laughing and hugging the soft cushions. Our stunning snuggle blankets were completed in
time for snuggling into through the long Winter.

Our Easter Service again was absolutely stunning, breath taking, captivating, a
whole range of emotions captured brilliantly with the stage silhouettes, lighting
and powerful dance routines which was truly mesmerizing to watch.
Our kids came on stage after Ps Bruce’s message to finish the service in song.
Amy Williams sang so beautifully, her voice is pure GOLD. The kids always enjoy
accompanying our fabulous Youth Leaders on stage and its so magical to see
them participate in these special events .
A Huge Thank you to all our gorgeous kids and Youth who volunteer in whatever
capacity is required and our wonderful families who Honour that commitment by
getting them to rehearsals with each special event.
We greatly appreciate your support and help throughout the year.

Kidz Church International Home 2017

Ps Ruth Whitton’s Report

In Kidz Church 2017 we learnt that WE are made in God’s
image – which means we are fun, creative, we love to celebrate
and we are generous – just as GOD is !!! And so our teams
rotations reflected this!!

For Mother’s Day our beautiful darlings rotated through
activities creating potted flowers. Decorated cup cakes,
delicious slices and gorgeous cards – that were presented to
mum’s during the Mother’s Day service!

And then there was ... The play –

‘What Would Noah Know’ – a singing, dancing, laughing, and
animal filled extravaganza premiered in November at the
International Home! It was a huge team effort with input from
all .. So much thanks!!!

Overall the Kidz Church Team consists of Shaun Williams, Chris
& Dru Webb, Amy W, Timi O, Caleb G, Zachary Argall and Ruth

Mother’s & Father’s Day Celebrations

Our Mother’s Day item was truly beautiful and greatly enjoyed by all the
gorgeous Mother’s and Ladies of the house. Ruth W and Team did such an
incredible job putting the video clip together - with the kids doing an awesome
performance on stage. The words in the song were priceless and everyone
could relate to those classic lines* WE LOVE the MOTHER”S of the HOUSE !!!!!
Our Fathers’ Day service was based around the vision and analogy of the
Chess Set. Every piece on the board is Valuable, Irreplaceable, Has a
Purpose and a Unique Role that is predestined to edify the Kingdom. Even
the WORTH of the Pawn can be wrongly misinterpreted, under estimated
and devalued by others but this seemingly expendable foot soldier is crucial
in the frontline to protect, stand, and take ground in the advancement of
the Kingdom. The Pawn in purposeful, intentional, only ever moving forwards
head on into the battle with the sole desire to advance against the enemy
by reaching the other side to claim back a captured piece. They are Valiant,
Courageous and Mighty and when linked side by side, locking shields are an
impenetrable force.

funds to build before the economy &
costs rebounded, and the exchange rate

declined, and saved hundreds of
thousands of dollars.

Margaret and I were among the guests of
honour and spoke at the opening and
ministered at the first national
conference at that site. Diggerland did

not reach the funds expected ($6k) to be
raised as a senior partner at $5200
possibly due to the less than normal

amount in love offerings for the Canada
Ministry which was excellent..

Apostolic Projects

Internationally, our partner church plant
‘The Rock’ in Shooters Hill, London,

secured a premises and began regular
public meetings. Tru North celebrated 6
years of ministry, and the new church
‘The Summit’ was established in Canada.
The pastors David & Judi we sponsored
out to our Global Conference where the
church was then officially recognised, and

they also took their vows as CRC
Ministers. We were pleased to then be
able to host their ministry at Diggerland

and be a part of broadening their
introduction to the CRC family.
Contact was also made with a minister
seeking fellowship, who pastors in
Toronto Canada, and who has interests in
countries in Africa. Also, our national
leader, whose church I helped build in Fiji,
has contacted me to follow up his
daughter and son in law about their
prospects to plant a church on Victoria

Island province in Canada.
Plans are therefore being laid to follow up
on all these interests, which is booked for
March 2018. God is good, and is building

our close family interests. Prepare for
great things.

Home Missions By Bruce

Due to the size of the Diggerland Ministry Team, it is able to have substantial input into our CRC
Missions in Australia. We are organised into regions and our region is known as the North West
Region. I have led this region since its inception and Diggerland hosts a gathering of ministers each
year. These are great times of connecting, leading to ministry opportunities.
The churches in our region include Broken Hill, Swan Hill, Robinvale, Wentworth, Merbein, Mildura
and Red Cliffs. By invitation our ministers and worship leaders participate on their rosters or by
casual invitation. This brings crucial variety, encouragement and relief to our smaller churches. This
year has seen the first full year with Margaret leading Wentworth, Kevin Smith in Mildura, and the
last year of Roland leading Swan Hill as Chandi Kroone and her husband move into the role. For all
the other Boards I am technically the senior minister giving significant oversight. There is a prospect
for another church in our region next year.
Merbein now called Altitude Church, finalised the purchase of a new property this year in Merbein,
which is a huge achievement for them.
Ti Tree is also another Home Mission interest where I am on the board. We also run a regular Carols
event there each year. Ti Tree has secured a subdivision of land it has been using and hopes to begin
developing it next year although groundworks of plantings have already begun.
Our members also contribute to our State and Australian scene through conferences and other
events. I retired as CRC Vic State Chairman and continue as State Treasurer with Ruthie. Julianne
serves with women in Ministry Time Out camp, Rebekah is State Evangelism rep, Steve has assisted
with state training, Ali, Thomas, Zak and Natalie have had involvement in the worship teams.
Locally we are well connected with the inter-denominational Pentecostal ministers which I lead,
Julianne is our rep for the Refresh Conference department, Rebekah heads up the Love Our City
Department. Thomas is also involved in the regional Youth forum which run a significant Encounter
Camp each year. Through PMF we also connect with traditional denominations to run great events
like Christmas Carols, Love Our City Day, and Global Leadership Summit.

ministries

2017 report by Rebekah Milne

Revelation Light
An effective outreach market ministry involving a
collaboration of people from across the region.
The team is made up of individuals who are
specifically gifted in presenting a witness of
Christ through words of knowledge, prophesy
and healing prayer.

The ministry testifies of impacting hundreds who
are searching for spiritual encounters. Many
recipients see visions of Jesus, encounter the
Spirit of Truth and are healed of sickness or
torment. Revelation Light stepped out to hold
their first open air event this year. Several
seekers attended and spoke of awakening
encounters with Jesus.

Love Our City
A regional wide church collective campaign
where our passion is developing lifestyles of
‘random acts of kindness’. The ministry positions
us for life changing interactions with strangers by
spreading the love of Jesus during every day
encounters. Love Our City hosts three major
community events each year reaching thousands
of people with a simple gospel message. Easter
Egg Hunt, Love Our City Day and Mildura Carols
host and impact approximately 8,000 people
yearly by free family entertainment, while
sowing seeds of Gods love.

Church unit- AFTER Ti Tree CRC Church

By Danielle Rosslee

New Outreach

2017 has seen the start of a new outreach into
Adelaide Bore community, approx. 60 kms east of Ti
Tree. The community had previously been
abandoned for several years but as people moved
back in, they reached out to us through the store,
asking us to start services with them. After praying
over it for several months we purchased a 4x4 to
reach the small community via the dirt track (it’s
been a fun part of the adventure, especially after
the unseasonal early rains this year!) Once a month
we travel in to do a church service with them there
and leave materials to carry on with services for the
next 3 weeks. Very encouragingly the community
set aside and are busy renovating a space for church
services and the whole community present
rededicated their lives to the Lord.

Property Development

This year saw the end of the massively costly and
time consuming job (for Hannes anyway!) of
subdividing the property in order to gift a lot to the
church for future development. After a 4 year
process of installing power, water, phone lines,
access and surveying the new lots, we finally have
individual Title Certificates!

In addition to this the individual who had provided
us with an interest free loan which we have been
steadily paying off for the property for the last 4
years, contacted us out of the blue and said he
wanted to forgive the rest of the loan!

We are well on the way to the church owning debt
free prime real estate in the centre of town and
could see development of this property begin in the
next year or two!

It’s been amazing to see how God has brought all
things together for good!

Diggerland Disability Programs continue to find approval with DHHS especially
given the documented improvements is life skill and abilities of the clients. This
year we took on an extra client with the able support of Aaron Lucchesi. He made
great inroads with the client who is now exhibiting signs of improvement
sufficient to disengage our service. It should be noted that all staff contribute to
the support of the disability programs giving both variety and unique flavour to
this service. Next year we will be positioning DCS for the NDIS rollout

The DCS Yardmen

This program has been well established by Geoff Legg and with the support of
Shayne Tonzing and Aaron Lucchesi have established a growing clientele who
testify to the quality of work undertaken

Good Golly Its been a big year at Good Golly with the kitchen completed and
registered with Council. A menu of fresh quality ingredients combined with meals
that are unique to Red Cliffs and unparalleled cakes and drinks has also seen a
growing clientele established. There is also a reputation among market goers
that sees the shop bursting at the seams on Market Days. It is highly
recommended, and a must, for the discerning diner. My gratitude to Julie
MacDonald, and Andree Lim for the hard work in establishing a top quality shop
and menu. Its a credit to you both. My thanks too to Jirah, Jente and Sonya for
their invaluable volunteer work. News just to hand: A grant has been received to
complete the back yard for dining and entertainment.

Miss Molly/community Outreach Miss Molly
has had a quiet year but an increase in booking
marked the end of the year. Thanks to Julie Beasy
for taking on this part of the business

Home Valet Services A new program established
this year when Libby McBain approached us
with a proposal. From here we have taken on
Libbie’s domestic cleaning clients (and her
AudiBlox students). We have added to this
program by taking on clients under the My Age
Care packages and offer cleaning,
companionship, meals and more. Julie Beasy,
Jasmine Murphy and Kylie Roberts complete the
team which is second to none

The Jirahscope This program has been in recess
this year but will recommence again next year
with a grant to commence a 3 year Rookie
Entrepreneur program

Community Pantry Fresh and non perishable
produce is now available to all community
members to both give and receive from freely.
Since we stopped the voucher referral system the
program has been very well supported and will
continue to grow next year. We have added to
this with paid forward meals and coffee available
from Good Golly. My thanks to Julie Mac and
Matthew for their ongoing commitment to this
initiative

On a final note my heartfelt gratitude to Anna
Legg for her unrelenting support, professionalism
and hard work in undertaking the administrative
responsibilities of DCS with me. To Rebekah and
Glenn Milne for their support also, without your
commitment to DCS much of this would not be
possible.

Ti Tree Trip Testimony by Basil

This was my second trip to Ti Tree in a row. I was very happy to be asked and
agreed to come. I understand that what ever is done now will bring the big
returns of good seeds in the future.
I noticed a change in the local people this year. They were very happy to see us,
which showed they valued our commitment to come and sow in.
Many of the men moved closer to the front in the crowd this year and seemed to
be much more involved. Also the crowd arrived much earlier and seemed very
eager. The whole atmosphere seemed peaceful even though there are many
groups represented.
The crowd seemed very responsive as I ministered. When the Message was
delivered I could see they were engaging with the Word more than before.
This area has no other churches and it is like pioneering from nothing. So to see
the people beginning to respond is very important. I believe the seeds planted in
the past by everyone involved are starting to sprout.
In future years as the church building on church land emerges, I can see this
church having locals ready to begin to take ownership in the ministry.
