Merry Christmas – with LOVE from Kidz
Church

We have loved bringing the love of Jesus to the community
throughout the year. The boldness and confidence
evidenced in both our kidz and team has grown enormously
with these random acts of kindness. The children have been
impacted by the melting of hearts and the beautiful
responses they received after they had exchanged their gift
and joyful greetings of “we just want to bless you and we
love you”. Julie Mac then approached me with the request
for kidz church to decorate a window at Miss Golly.
So our Christian Advent Calendar was inspired through a
vision I received to impact our community by creating a
Christmas Scene that would engage discussion (as everyone
understands the concept of the advent Calendar) whilst
maintaining the culture and essence of Miss Golly shop but
shine the heart of a child through it’s simplicity bringing a
visual invitation of HOPE whilst sharing the message that
Jesus is GOD’s Gift to the World. As I shared the vision with
others and fleshed out various possibilities Donna (M)
Williams suggested and described the image of the Tree
design. The kidz worked on the art designs with Dru
selecting the scripture passages. Then Richard Vaughan
offered to drill and bind all the tree branches together, David
assisted with this incredible task. Donna(S)Williams then
assisted me to put the advent design together which was a
huge project in itself, with Steve Williams helping us hang
the Advent Tree in Miss Golly. Throughout this entire
process I just marvelled at GOD’s provision and awesome
GRACE. We are just called to activate OUR FAITH and speak
the vision ..as GOD will bring forth the labourers in the field
to see the vision fulfilled. This also encompassed the Vision
for the Diggerland window which Donna(M) and I fleshed
out again mirroring the message of JESUS being the Gift to
the World. Again GOD’s hand provided the labour as
Ps Bruce created our amazing manger.

has proved to be a very busy year for
our fellowship as we continue to serve

our Awesome God

Connect Group

Connect group is where we came
together to share life . This year we
also went through a series of how to
read the Bible by Rick Warren which
was enjoyed by all. It certainly invoked

lively discussion and the course
provided very useful methods on how

to read the Word.

Love Our City
As Love our City gains traction it is
encouraging to see how individual
people have picked up on the idea of
showing the love of Jesus to our city.
From personal testimonies the church

is being encouraged weekly ,
culminating in Love our City Day in
Merbein which saw close to 150 gifts
given out. Overall we believe that this
has now become a way of life for us.

MERBEIN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Men’s Ministry

Men’s ministry although
not large in numbers
provides a safe place
where men’s issue’s can be
spoken about and
ministered to.
We also had a number of fishing trips
which was enjoyed by all.

Women’s Ministry

We are blessed to have such a solid core
of faithful women . We meet regularly to
pray, worship and study the Word. We
also are involved regularly in ministering
to the local community through helping,
providing meals and having opportunity
to love and pray for people.
Our highlight for the year was our yearly
camp held at Bushman’s rest.
We had heaps of fun, spent time
listening to the word, soaking in in His
presence and spending personal time

praying for each other. This camp is

definitely a keeper for this season we are
in.

Christmas Carols

As with previous years it was fantastic
to partner with the local churches of
Merbein to bring the Christmas message
to the people of Merbein. A great night
was had by all. We are believing that the
seeds planted will bear fruit in the future

MERBEIN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Kidz Church

What an awesome responsibility
we carry to ensure that the next
generation carry the fire for a living
breathing personal relationship with
Jesus. With that in mind the lessons
were all formulated along the principle
that our children , learned how to pray
prophecy, lay hands on for healing ,
have soaking time with the Holy Spirit,
And learning the word of God all in a fun way .
We also took great care to build the atmosphere
each week by “theming “ the room and ensuring
worship music was playing overnight before the service .
This all went a long way to ensure the kids entered the

room which was already filled with the presence of God.

Training

A training day was held this
Year to ensure that as a church
we all understood our
responsibilities and legal
requirements.
Other training included circle of
security which Marg Sharman delivered.
It covered Loving and raising our children both in the
family and Church environment. It was fantastic.

Chaffey Aged Care

It is an awesome privilege to be allowed to minister to
the residents of Chaffey Aged care. Once a month
we hold a church Service with communion and
pray for the residents and staff . We have also been asked
to pray for some residents who had become ill and also
some who were close to being called Home.

Robinvale Christian Fellowship 2015

Its been a great year Just Kids
Jesus is the Crown of my heart
It’s been a great year we have seen
growth in different areas of the church OneUnit
including our men group, JustKids, Leaders of Tomorrow in the making
OneUnit, Worship, Bible studies and our
Women groups. Church Life
Our Men are developing a dual focus Breaking new grounds
towards the community and their
individual needs; which includes a BBQ Men
and short discussion monthly. Last topic A Heart for the nations
they talked and prayed about was the
high suicide rate in the region.

Just Kids started this year with a program
called Hello God focused on discovering
who God is. Which moves on to learning
who Jesus is and what God has done
through him for us. It includes memory
verse, colouring in and interactive story
telling.

One Unit has been emphasizing “Purity
Pact”, this involves prayer, talks and
practical ways on their everyday walk.
The Youth are also practising for our
Community Carols.

Worship has been run by Jahsinta for a
long time. We thank her for the fantastic
work she has done to build the worship
team and wish her all the best on her
next venture. We would like to welcome
Leroy who has taken on this role.

This year we have run two studies,
“Renewed mind” and “Hosting the
Presence”. Which has impacted and
transformed many. The bible study has
also inspired people to step out of their
comfort zone. This has added to our
Sunday service; in prophecies, prayer and
worship.

The Women meet together on a Monday
for coffee. This has helped develop
relationship, breakthrough and a bond of
our strength.

To end the year we’re hosting a BBQ with
our church families and start off 2016
with 6 Water Baptisms.

Women’s Ministry has had a wonderful year!

This year we learnt more about how to do marriage
better, we were refreshed and we also

had times of friendships growing and bonding
together.

Marriage Night Events

We had a night event where Ruth Tankard shared
with us some valuable gems on marriage.

Women were really impacted and asked that we have
another time of hearing about marriage.

It was great as we had many young married couples
attend our 2 night events on marriage.

Artback Café in Wentworth

Our visit to Artback Café in Wentworth was wonderful
time to sit back and relax.

Over coffee and cake the women enjoyed catching up
with one another and enjoying a nice time of laughter.

Overlooking the lovely scenery contributed to a lovely
afternoon.

Refresh

This year we had the honour of hosting Refresh which
really rallied a great team to see this event be a great
success.

Alan and Helen Meyer impacted the women greatly
with their messages and their personal stories.

Anna Legg did a fantastic job in administration and
financial area. Anna really assists is making Refresh
run so smoothly.

Hospitality

Thankyou to Gaynor Marron and her team for raising
funds for Women's Ministry by cooking scheduled
Sunday lunches over the year.

October Retreat

This was the highlight for me this year.

Around 30 women came along to a weekend at Lake
Cullulleraine where we had Pastor Lois Cronin come
and speak to the women.

This was such a wonderful time of women getting
away from their busy lives and switch off from daily
pressures.

We had Miss Molly coffee van there where women
could drink as much coffee as they wanted.

Wonderful times were had with eating dinner by the
lake soaking in the pretty and peaceful scenery.

Movies, craft, foots spas helped this time away be so
relaxing.

Pastor Lois Cronin delivered some powerful messages
with many great moments of ministry over the
weekend.

My intention for that weekend was for women to
relax and be refreshed, form stronger bonds and hear
what God was saying to them and that’s exactly what
this retreat served up.

End of Year Celebration

This year we celebrated our end of year break up with
coffee and cake amongst the olive trees.

Varipodio Estate in Buronga was a beautiful setting
where we sat and enjoyed one anothers company and
ate plenty of food.

That morning was really enjoyed by all and really
sealed the great year we have had.

I am honoured doing life with all these wonderful
women.

I look forward to 2016 and know that it will be a great
year of expansion.

Young Adults Ministry – Ruth Tankard

This year our Young Adults Ministry
has had an outward looking focus
beginning the year by hosting
backpacker BBQs in Barclay Square.
For the summer months we had up to
150 backpackers join us for a sausage
in bread, game of volleyball and a
chat.

In March we travelled to Daylesford
for a long weekend together and to
minister at the Dayleford CRC Church.
We had a great weekend and the
church’s youth ministry was
particularly blessed.

Mid year Hannah, Jack and Rebekah
travelled with Roland and I to
minister at the CRC church in
Narrandera.

Our Young Adults really keep the
ministry of our church running with
their passion, heart and commitment.
Each one of our young adults are
directly involved in ministry in youth,
children’s, band, worship or tech
areas. They are busy!!!! The
frequency of our connect groups has
decreased throughout the year due
to the huge commitments our guys
have in terms of this, but we have
kept up gatherings.

In October we had the privilege of
connecting with Tim Lochens the CRC
National Youth Director. Fantastic
time.

In the middle of the year Roland and I
launched “Making Marriage Better”
Careforce lifekeys small group
material. We started a connect group
for young married couples with Jared
and Bec Arnol, Zac and Nat Wilksch.
We have loved spending time with
these beautiful people; it has been
significant.

Fresh Co Newcomers’ Hospitality– Ruth
Tankard

This year our faithful team consisting of Lorraine
Webb, Julianne Ullrich, Jamie Lee Webb and Jess
Turner have served lunch on our Newcomer
Sundays which we run once every three months.
It has continued to be an ideal way for us to
connect newcomers with our leadership team,
senior pastor and the heart and vision of our
church.

Fresh Co has also undergirded the hospitality for
the major events run in our church this year –
CRC Vic State Conference “Triggerpoint” and the
Regional Women’s Conference Refresh.

Our biggest achievement has been the emptying
of our bank account to refurbish the cafe and
chapel prior to state conference. Thank you so
much to the “A” team of workers Stu Maher,
Garry and Lorraine Webb, Ruthie Maher, Vicki
Collihole, Roland Tankard and Julie Beasy. Over 8
days we worked solidly to transform our
hospitality area downstairs. Mel, Lorraine and
Garry we also so enthused they repainted the
upstairs multi purpose room too.

It has been a privilege to work with this team of
volunteers this year where no task has been to
large or too hard, and most importantly, we have
had fun serving kingdom purposes together!

Love you guys,
Ruth

Food4Families – Julie Macdonald

It’s been another busy year for hamper distribution, with over 200 food bags
given out to families in need.
The agencies that request help have had many changes within their
organizations and funding has been greatly reduced. Thus causing an increased
need for these hampers.
Our Church is recognised as a valued source of help within the Mildura and Red
Cliffs community.
The representatives from the Agencies pick the hampers up from the Good Golly
shop and often sit for a cuppa and share some of the sad stories of the families in
need. On occasions the families come in too and whilst we cannot solve their
problems, we can listen and give them our time and hope.
Foodbank Victoria supply the room temperature products at a low cost. Food
Share Mildura help with the fresh produce so on occasions we can supply veggies
and fruit. Bunning's warehouse donated a supply of their bags and financial help
has been gratefully received from a very generous helper.
Matthew and Jirah Milne work with me packing the hampers and provide
refreshments for the visitors at the time of collection.
We are looking forward to offering another year of helping the families in need.

Good Golly Shop – Julie Macdonald

Our little shop is building momentum everyday.
We have nearly completed the kitchen
renovations and have the coffee machine up and
running. We are very close to being able to open
the cafe side up.

We are running weekly home group meetings (I
feel we should call them shop group meetings
though). Once a month, Sandra Boulton kindly
donates her time and craft ideas. We can share
in fellowship and make nifty little craft creations.
The senior Ladies attend too and it really is
lovely to spend time over a cuppa with them.

The Tonzing’s home group came for supper and a
good time was had by all who attended.
Matthew Milne practiced his waiting on skills
ready for when the cafe opens.

Jirah Milne has almost perfected his coffee
making and it is great to see the boys developing
working skills in the shop.

Kidz Church set up an advent calendar tree in the
main window. This has added to the great
ambiance of the shop.

Customers come in from all walks of life and not
a day goes by without someone calling in to
share something with us. Some want our time to
listen to them, others may just need a hug.

My predecessors have done a fantastic job of
setting up the shop for the next faze to take
place and I thank them for all the effort that has
gone into it.

Everyone is welcome to call in at any time and
we look forward to taking bookings for more
home group meetings!

Diggerland Men’s Connect Report 2015
– by Andrew Graham

Another great year making close and genuine friendships with the
guys. It’s been a great year of building each other up and encouraging
each other to step out, using our gifts and talents such as having our
own praise & worship band, serving others at church and in our
community. It’s been amazing seeing the progress in our group and
the growth in all our lives. Looking forward to another blessed year in
2016. God bless you all!
- Aaron Jones

This year I enjoyed getting together and learning more about God in a
simplified way, allowing us to understand more about the word of
God than what we knew before. It’s been a fun way of getting more
understanding and getting closer to God - Damien

What a year. It’s been a true joy to watch these guys hunger to know
God more, and to grow in their understanding and trust in the Lord.
The group was AndrewG, AndrewS, Simon, Darryl, Aaron & Damien
(in the picture), and Gordon, Pat, Jason, Lee and Dean.

CONNECT GROUP 2015
by Werner & Julianne

What an amazing year we have had in our
Connect Group.

We opened our home to see many international
people come along and enjoy teaching and
fellowship.

On our first gathering we had 18 people
consisting of Chinese students who were
studying at Tafe and Chinese people visiting.
This was such wonderful time as we were able to
host them in our home particular when they
were new to the area.

Later on in the year Werner invited to group
some Solomon Islander gentlemen who were
working during the day with him.
It has been wonderful connecting with them as
they lead worship on the nights we gather and
have enjoyed hearing the Gospel. They have
been involved in church and are consistent in
performing items or cooking when we have our
International nights once a term.

Werner has shifted the group to Colignan now
where with the Solomon Guys, Victor Obatoki ,
Geoff Legg and Andrew Edwards join together in
fellowship and teaching each Thursday.

It has been a pleasure doing Connect Group this
year.

We look forward to 2016 .

Diggerland Men’s Ministry Report 2015
– by Andrew Graham

This year we enjoyed a year serving Torque Youth, mostly by cooking
yummy food. Thanks to Darryl, Andrew, Shayne T and Shayne B. We have
enjoyed times of ten pin bowling, soccer and Putt Putt mini golf.

In November we hosted the first Mildura Ping-Pong-a-thon, a fund raising
event to support groups in SE Asia who are rescuing young kids out of
slavery and exploitation. It was a great success for the first year, raising just
over $2,000. This is a nation wide event held across the country in October
each year. Next year it goes international. Collectively, this year just over
$200,000.00 was raised for this cause. The event itself was a lot of fun.

For 2015 Provision identified and acknowledged 2 specific groups in need in our
community and provided hope and support.

The first group we assisted were a group of lovely women who would gather
regularly and sew hats for women with breast cancer.
We gave them a lovely pack filled with chocolates and gave them money to help
buy material so many more hats could be produced.

The Second group we assisted were Zoe Support Australia.
We gave them a donation to help with their lawn area so there could be play
equipment. The children really appreciated this.

Being able to give to these groups was such a wonderful thing and to know that
they appreciated our support for their work in the community.

MOPs for 2015 has been a wonderful year with lots of
changes.

At the end of Term 1 we had our wonderful Ruthie
Maher leave MOPs mentoring after 8 years to take on
other challenges.

This year’s theme was, “Be You, Bravely”.

Debbie Obatoki and I used this theme when we spoke
to our wonderful women who attended each
fortnight. This encouraged lots of conversations and
many great friendships were formed because of our
small group discussions.

Bec Arnol came on board for 2 Terms and took on the
administration of MOPs. This was very valuable and
saw administration rise to another level. Then at the
start of Term 4 Bec returned back to work.

Amanda Sharman has done a wonderful job with
organising craft each term. The women have really
enjoyed this activity with lots of laughter around the
table.

At the start of the year Linda Cattanach asked if she
could be a carer after attending MOPs for years. This
was such a great testimony and Linda served in MOPs
all year.

I want to say a special thankyou and to acknowledge
these wonderful carers of our children: Jill Grayling,
Kylie Roberts, Sarah-Jane Tyson, Bev Hontana and
Naomi Stevens.

I would like to thank Gaynor Marron for her time and
generosity in hospitality area.

Its been a privilege to be part of MOPs and I look
forward to new developments and growth in 2016.

Ushers / Offering Counters / Sunday Setup
Team 2015

Thank you to Jacqui, Gordon , Lynne & Aaron for being part of Sunday morning set-up of
communion and the kitchen area during this year.

Thank you to our wonderful Ushers and Offering Counters and an extra thanks to the guys
who put their hand up regularly for Sunday Nights. Bless you for your heart to partner
with Stu. This year we have had the pleasure of Aaron Jones, Connie & Paul Gervasi
joining the team! Our team of 24 continue to happily serve & be the welcoming face at
our church front entrance.

In October we had our Annual Big Dessert Night Out at our home – it’s a great night of
fellowship for our Ushering Team. In 2016 Aaron Jones will continue to train with Stu in
all areas and will be a wonderful asset and a great backup support. Thank you Aaron.

growing in and expressing their gifts and ultimately
releasing these gifts throughout the nations ….Yay!!!

How amazing are the Torque Band and the Junior
Band?

How amazing is Café 26 with the young ones
serving?

How amazing to see our youth ministering in Kidz
Church and kinder/creche?

When they sing and dance and preach- sigh- my
heart sings!!

How refreshing to see them caring and sharing with
their peers in loyalty and purity.

If you have not seen our young people at Go Team –
you need to – they are developing so many skills
beyond their years.

There is not enough space to say what a blessing it
is to see young people free, strong and generous-
with a hope and a purpose for the future. Let’s
continue to pray and strive to see more and more
young people impacted by the love of God, the
freedom of our faith and the purpose for which they
were crafted!

Handing over the batten is part of any leadership
journey !

I am excited - I have left the team in a good position
at this stage of the race. I have been cheered on by
many. I have extreme confidence in the runners who
are continuing the race. In fact, like any good relay
team, the best runners are placed after the initial
ones.

Torque Youth- Jumpstart Program

Jumpstart youth leadership training has continued in 2015 with participants
receiving training and certificates in First Aid and in the making and service of
espresso coffee.
As a result of the coffee making and serving expertise our Jumpstarters are all
now rostered on at CAFE 26 on a Sunday to help with fundraising and bless
folks!!
Jumpstart participants took part in the ‘IMAGINE IF…’ program, which challenged
young people to brainstorm, plan and execute a project to change their world.
Our ‘IMAGINE IF’S’ resulted in a ‘DYLAN’ games event - a group of lads hanging
out in the youth hall during the school holidays to eat, play computer games and
make noise- ALL THE BEST THINGS EVER!
We also ran car washes to fund our youth bus and to bless kids in third world
countries.
We completed 2015 with some budget and finance training- thanks to Ruthie
Maher these youth have a financial vision for their futures which involves hard
work, money sense and avoiding common pitfalls.

Diggerland Ministry Team Report

We have a strong ministry team at Diggerland.
Families are not always the best place for
stretching your wings, but at Diggerland we have
achieved something special. Everyone rejoices in
one another’s expression of spiritual life. When
someone is able to start to prophesy in their
delivery of the Word, it is truly celebrated.

This year we saw the launching out of Thomas
Cameron and Zak Wilksch. Both have delivered
very fine ministry over the course of the year as
they complete their Diploma of Ministry studies.
Both now have applications in to receive Trainee
Minister credentials.

Our visiting ministries in order of appearance
were Lindy Chamberlain Creighton, Ken & Jenny
Hodge, Danny Parker, John Warren, Victor
Gonzales, Phil Cayzer and Tony Rawson.

Ministering in our daughter and sister churches is
not only needful but possible with such a great
team.

Here is a report from Margaret at Wentworth
about one of our other up and coming ministers.

Last Sunday (4th December) was outstanding in
my mind because Alexander Foreman not only led
us in worship but also preached an excellent
testimonial message that was both edifying and
instructive to the body .
This was Ali's first time preaching in a Sunday
message and all of us at Wentworth felt privileged
to witness his emergence as a fine minister of the
gospel . Well done Ali we look forward to your
ongoing input into our lives . Marg.

Ti Tree Missions Trip by Darryl

I was truly blessed to be a part of what God is doing up in
Ti Tree through Hannes, Danielle and the Diggerland
team. We were able to accomplish quite a bit in
preparation for the Carols event, including ground
levelling, paving a good area, installing 4 gates, plumbing,
putting up fences, painting a fence, making paths and
more.
Pastor Bruce preached a good impacting Christmassy
gospel word. There were some local acts that performed
dancing and singing carols. The Diggerland Band group
led by Basil played and sang a few carols also.
Yeah wow I'm guessing there would have been over two
hundred people. We played a few ball games with the
children.
Serving the food was fun (my responsibility), it was busy.
Most people had seconds I believe.
I believe people would have had God touch their hearts
through the night. The last lady I served some food to at
the end of the night really stood out to me for some
reason as an older person, and we found out the next
morning that she passed away.
She had previously received Jesus and I will one day see
her again, that pulled on the heart strings quite a bit. It
really made me think about when Jesus said go and
compel them to come in, and without the Ti Tree mission
she might have been lost.
Thank you God for all that you do which is far greater and
beyond what we could ever imagine or hope for.
Blessings

Diggerland Easter Report by Bruce

Each year we have been making Easter Sunday a
family service with a pageant style.
This year focussed on the theme “The Stone’s
Been Rolled Away”.
Any dialogue was pre-recorded apart from
Narration which ensures clear audio. A novel
feature was pre-recording the angel rolling the
stone away in a slightly humorous fashion. The
crew had to time rolling the stone with this and
it all went off famously.
Being a family service we love to have a strong
youth and children focus. There is always room
for extras.
Libbie et al once again did a wonderful job with
costuming.

Chaffey aged care continues to be a delight to us as we
continue to minister to them every month in a church
service. It’s a great part of the ministry to our town as
residents, families and staff get touched by what God is
doing. It’s fantastic.
We have made such great friends with the elderly and
their carers. It’s precious.
