Ti Tree 2013 Report continued
– by Danielle Rosslee
There have been ongoing fights and rioting which has rocked the community
this year and seen a rapid depreciation in people’s health and wellbeing. Large
family groups are still fighting and a lot of people are too afraid to come to
church but still slip onto the property weekly to receive prayer and
encouragement.
Salina who attended National Conference with us in 2012, and who faithfully let
us hold church services at her house, (see pic below) despite being targeted
regularly for it, continues to stand up for peace on a daily basis. As fighting is
going on in front of our place, she can often be seen speaking peacefully-a
lone figure in the middle of 2 sides who are ready to make war on each other.
She says; “A big mob were coming at me with iron bars tempting me to fight,
but I just told them that they can hit me if they want but I know that I’m just
going Gods way now.”
She asks for people to pray for the communities that have been plagued by
violence, many people have fled their homes and are starting to return to them
now to find them vandalised, empty and the power boxes removed.
Early next year we are planning to hold a week of fun family activities on the
property and are planning a dedication ceremony for the property around mid
year with the planting of trees around the border. Apart from that there are
many plans to improve the existing buildings to be used as a church,
accomodation for ministry teams and as safe houses for crisis accomodation,
of which we already have our first tenants. Plus we would like to build farm
gardens to improve our Outback Kitchen community cooking program and a
laundry and bathroom area for the some 100+ homeless people who are
camping out the back of the property with no house, no power and limited
water.
Genesis 26:19-25 has been a timely prophecy for us this year, saying aptly in
verse 22, “Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.”

ARTS GENERATION
Each year we look and envision for the year ahead. We seek
God for His direction and we plan with the hope and aim of
achieving goals and dreams. Sometimes it can be a personal
development goal or heading into areas of ministry/calling, or
family or work areas. This year has seen Arts Generation
students grow and develop as they train and learn with teachers
alongside them also involved in training, which is exciting.
Training is important for all of us. It’s great for our body, soul and spirit. I think God knew we
would need encouragement to keep training and He reiterated it many times in scripture to
remain teachable, to learn and to grow.
A bit about the Teachers/Instructors:
This year I have been teaching music appreciation, piano & guitar on Tuesday and Wednesday
afternoons. On the learning side I have enrolled at LaTrobe part time to undertake Visual Arts.
I can’t even begin to describe my sensory delight to be training in this field and gain
community connections. It has taken me 31 years to finally get to uni and start the course I
wanted to undertake when I was 18. I thought it was a dream lost! It’s amazing how God can
bring things around and they land back on our plate!
Ann Cook has been diligently undertaking her Cert IV in Bible school this year. Growing in the
word and seeking Him as well as sowing into a few cello and voice students on a Monday
afternoon.
Sue Hensgen has come on board this year in the area of Visual Arts. At Diggerland she ran a
Wednesday drawing workshop during term 2 and terms 3 & 4 painting and drawing at the
Resource Centre. She also connected in with community art displays. Sue has such a heart for
Visual Arts and it will be great to watch this area grow. For Sue personally it’s been a growing
area as she has not taught small classes before….. but she has stepped out in faith and is
loving it.
Both Andre Whitton and Libbie McBain continue to train students with incredible passion and
exuberance. Andre has been teaching a few guitar students this year and Libbie assists both
children and adults in reaching their potential through the audiblox program.
With the linking in of Diggerland Departments this year saw the Arts Generation concert
amalgamate with the Diggerland Community Services fundraising night. Matt, Joel and Jirah
whisked us away to the 60’s with Surfin’ USA and a Michael Jackson 70’s number. It was a
great night with fun had by everyone.
Thanks one and all for your encouragement, enthusiasm, passion and support this year.
Blessings as we head into 2014. Donna Williams

Anna & Laura’s Connect Group 2013
Report by Anna & Laura
Well where do I begin….God has blessed us so much as His presence is so tangible at times we are not able to even
stand, and in saying that we do not take it for granted, because without the Holy Spirit being in charge, we would not
be able to even run a Small Group. Just want to start with thanking God for this privilege of working next to an
amazing woman, Anna. The great thing about having two leaders is, what one misses the other picks up on and we
sort of balance each other, which is great. I know I couldn't do it without you Anna, so Thank you and love you
lots.. Laura
Yes it has been an amazing year and we are feelings God’s presence in a whole new way. Awesome to have such
lovely ladies coming together every week, sharing and connecting our lives. God has blessed me to be able to work
alongside Laura, with great teaching input and pre-prayer before our group meets, has enabled us to prepare the
atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to impart and encounter the women's’ lives. Anna
It’s been a great year watching all the women in our group growing deeper in Christ. We feel the women have grown
stronger, more mature and confident in themselves and in the knowledge of God. We have had great study material
from Bethal, Planet Shakers conference and Bible studies of the End Times has created a deeper understanding of
God’s Word through scripture study and His promises over all our lives.
In all it’s been a fantastic year watching abundant blessings and growth over all of our beautiful women and
watching them interact with each other and develop deeper and more trustworthy relationships. Look forward to
next year. All Glory goes to God. Laura & Anna
The small ladies group for me this year (for the times I was present) was always uplifting, fun and a lovely time of
friendship with these beautiful girls. We all have things in common; Our love for the Lord and wanting to know and
experience His presence more. Thank you Anna and Laura for your wonderful guidance. God Bless xx Roma

Friendship
Get to know….Libbie McBain – (Kids Church leader)
3 people (dead or alive) I would love to have over for dinner are …. Joan of Ark, Oskar Schindler and my
maternal Great Grandmother to hear her story.
I often wonder … what happened to my beautiful sheep Chocolate who was 7 years old when he was
stolen from our yard.
A place I’d love to visit is ….. Europe - especially Rome, Jerusalem etc.
The thing I loved about school was …the lifelong friendships I still have today with my girlfriends -
incredible women whom I have shared the curve balls of life and have treasured memories with.
My siblings are …. my wonderful older brother Shane (who is an elder in his church ) living in Perth and my
beautiful younger sister Yvette living in Adelaide married with 2 children.
I wish I had the talent for ….. Sewing! Then I wouldn’t have to staple or medical-tape hems up.
People always ask me ….“Why do I organise & actually enjoy my boys having heaps of mates over for fun
sleepovers in our backyard?” Because there is nothing more special than watching a group of boys pitch their tents, play
ambush games after dark and sit around the fire chatting afterwards!
I sometimes wonder if God ...looks down from above and says “Will someone please buy that Libbie a
Hummer” haha!!
It’s not fashionable but ….it’s great at the moment not having facebook in our home.
I’ll never forget ….the births of both my beautiful boys and the incredible moment I saw Jordan and
Lachlan for the first time.
My favourite gadget is …it’s a toss up between my glue gun and my craft stapler. Although Alister keeps
telling me since I converted his Man Shed to ‘my shed’ all his gadgets became ‘my gadgets’!!
A book I’ll never forget is … ‘We of Nagasaki – the story of survivors in an atomic wasteland’ by Takashi Nagai
People always tell me ……”Just how LUCKY I am to be married to Alister” (Or is that just Alister??)
His mates always say there is an award in Heaven waiting JUST for ME!!
My favourite saying or phrase is …. ”You don’t need to do what everyone else does ‘cause I didn’t give birth
to sheep so always be your wonderful unique self.”

Kidz Church Sleepover June 22nd – 23rd 2013
Our annual sleepover has become a much loved &
anticipated part of our calendar year.
This year the Gr 6’s as part of their transition year
joined the Torque team for a BBQ and then
participated in the entire evening as a special treat
coming upstairs at the conclusion of the evening.
The remainder of Kidz Church enjoyed a pizza tea
before joining Torque for the Songs & Worship
time downstairs . Afterwards they headed upstairs
for dessert and games. AND had full-on FUN
playing fluro soccer in the youth room!!
The sleepover is such an incredible experience for
our kids. They certainly love the special bonding
time with the KC Team and our cooked Brekkie.
We had 30 kids attending the Saturday evening
with 27 staying overnight. For some of our kids it
was their first KC Sleepover so they had enormous
FUN being pampered and spoilt by the team.
A HUGE Thank you to all our team for volunteering
your time and energy to ensure this is always such

Graduation Speech by Anna Whitton
This year in Kid’s Church We/I have had a great time both spiritually and physically. Some of my
favourite happenings this year in Kid’s Church are when Kezzy came up, when we did the art
auction and the Kid’s Church sleepover. When Kezzy came up she talked and prayed for us then
everyone in Kidz Church got gold dust on their hands.
All of Kidz Church participated in the art auction for the mezzanine floor. Even though I couldn’t
stay for all the Kidz Church sleepover I still had heaps of fun being with the people I love and
playing games. I am sure that every person in Kidz Church this year will have had some change
in their life big or small, because of the amazing effort all the leaders have put in to make sure
that all of the kids have a special relationship with GOD and are looked after and loved.
I know that I have grown stronger and stronger every day in GOD’s presence thanks to the help
of the Kidz Church leaders and I am sure that everyone else in Kidz Church has too. A huge
thank you to all of the Kidz Church leaders for being great role models, wherever you guys go
the light of GOD shines through you, you’re all amazing people.

Bands Report 2013 – report by Andrew Graham
2013 saw one new addition to the bands area. Notably, Zachary
Wilksch joined band 1 this year. Zac moved to Mildura to marry
his sweetheart Natalie (pictured with Zac below). Zac has been a
great addition to the most amazing group of people I count as
friends, who play instruments and serve in the worship bands. I
am continually blessed by each and every person who serves in
this area and count it a privilege to serve among you all.
With a tinge of sadness and a tonne of excitement, we said
“goodbye” to my daughter Emily at the end of this year. Emily has
served faithfully and diligently on bass guitar in our band for the
past 5 or so years. Well done Emily!
A big thank you to all who served, swapped, filled in or covered
for someone in the bands this year. Special thanks to my fellow
band leaders, Andrew Lucchesi and Jared Arnol.

Bands Report 2013 – report by Andrew Graham
It has been a wonderful year of growth
‘jelling' with team members, learning to
listen to each other, complement each
other with no need to outdo each other -
none of us are an island and the end result
is a combination of the talents and gifting
of each one, surrendered in hearts of
worship with the purpose of bringing glory
to God and facilitating His people coming
into that deeper place of intimacy with
Him. So many times we have looked at
each other after coming off stage and just
said 'Wow! Thank you God!' It's so not
about us but all about Him and what He
can do with what He has put in our hands.
