NAAC

'A' Grade for the Third Consecutive Term

V.O.Chidambaram College has been awarded 'A' grade by NAAC
(National Assessment and Accreditation Framework) with a CGPA of 3.31 in the
third cycle of reaccreditation.

The NAAC peer team Prof. R.P.Tiwari. Vice Chanceller, Dr. Hari
Singh Gour University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh (Chair Person), Dr.R.K. Balaji,
Professor and Head. Department of Business Administration, University of
Rajasthan, Jaipur, Rajasthan and Dr.Thilak Raj. Former Principal, Raja Balwant
Singh College, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, visited the college on 22.07.2017.

Separate meetings were also held with Dr.C.Veerabahu, the Principal.
Dr.A.Nellai Murugan, the IQAC Co-ordinator, the management committee and the
alumni.

The peer team commended the college for its commitment to higher
education and its transparent administration.

International Conference on Recent Trends in
Multidisciplinary Research

ICTRMDR-18

V.O.Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi in association with the Institute for
Engineering Research and Publication (IFERP) organised a two day International
Conference on Recent Trends in Multi Disciplinary Research ICTRMDR on 19th and
20th of April 2018 at V.O.Chidambaram College.

His Excellency Dr. P. Mannar Jawahar, Vice Chancellor, Karunya Institute of
Science and Technology, Karunya University, Coimbatore and Dr. Srimathy Kesan,
Founder and CEO, Space Kidz, India Chennai inaugurated the conference.

The conference received over 450 technical papers of which 241 shortlisted
papers were presented during the conference at six parallel sessions.The proceedings of
the conference was released on the same day and selected papers were published in the
UGC indexed journals and some in open access journals.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development introduced
the National Ranking System to institutions offering collegiate
education in India from 2015. Institutions inclusive of
Universities, Arts and Science colleges,Engineering, Management,
Law Agriculture, Medical, Architectural and Pharmacy colleges
are taken up for their analysis.

India Rankings 2019 was announced on 08.04.2019 at
Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi by the Honourable President

Ramnath Kovind. V.O.Chidambaram College secured the 77th

rank. Dr.C.Veerabahu, Principal received the Certificate of Merit.
Dr. John Prince Soundaranayagam, IQAC Co-ordinator,
Dr.D.Radhika, Assistant Co-ordinator IQAC also attended the
ranking ceremony.
