Cultural Activities

The cultural activities in the College are of paramount
importance that helps in preparing students for real life and
strengthening their personal skills. It also assists students to
develop themselves in their desired fields and also to
improve skills such as Organizational, Presentation,
Leadership and Interpersonal Communication.
V.O.Chidambaram College encourages all extra-
curricular activities that are in line with the educational
objectives of the Instit ution and meet t he needs of the
students.
V.O. Chida mba ra m College won the Overall Rolling
Trophy of FISHFEST 2018, an Intercollegiate Cultural
Competition organized by Fisheries College and Research
Institute, Thoothukudi on 23.02.20 18

NTPL FEST-2019:

V.O. Chidambaram College in association with NLC, Tamil
Nadu Power Limited (NTPL) organized cultural events under the
banner VOC-NTPL Fest for the college students at V.O.
Chidambaram College under different social themes for three
consecutive years.
In commemoration of Sardar Vallabhai Patel's birthday, NTPL
celebrated 'Vigilance Awareness Week' from the 28th of
October to the 3rd November. VOC-NTPL Fest 2019 an Inter-
Collegiate Cultural Competition was organized on the theme
''Integrity-A way of Life'' on the 12th of October, 2019 to create
awareness on vigilance among youth and college students.

Enhancing Academic Excellence

IQAC The Mission and Onus NAAC proposes that every accredited
institution should establish an IQAC, as post accreditation quality
sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous

Our college has been re-accredited by NAAC A grade with 3.31poin ts. It is an immense
pride to the college that NAAC has identified V.O.Chidambaram College as a mentor
institution. Thereby the college took up the responsibility to serialize 15 non-accredited
institution in and around Thoothukudi District to the significance of NAAC and its latest
reforms.

Launching Mobile App

IQAC launched a new Mobile App 'ODK Collect' which was launched by
Mr.Abraham, Alumni of our college on 20.02.2018, The App is meant exclusively for
the faculty members to update their academic activities online.
