I grew up in a modest family in the outskirts of Dar

effects of poor health services in hospitals. I lost my
beloved niece and after some time, a brother and other
family members due to lack of efficient equipment for
immediate healthcare at the hospitals. These and many
other occasions made me realise how important this
field is to our lives and those of others too.

I became very passionate about medical and technical
courses that mainly aim at maintaining and supporting
good health and healthcare services in our communities.
I found Biomedical Engineering a best suit for me
because of its relevant to major issues facing the society
today, it is an exciting and rapidly moving subject.
Having this opportunity, I aspire to be involved in the
advancement of medical research to ensure better health
standards in our communities. I believe that, the first
step towards success is taken when you refuse to be a

this course will challenge, reward and greatly inspire
