INSTRUCTION TO STUDENT
A carbon footprint is the amount of greenhouse gases—primarily carbon dioxide—released into the
atmosphere by a particular human activity. We can help to reduce carbon footprint by practising the
5R’s of zero waste (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot).
Your PBL topic will be: Justify how you and your family play the role of individuals in addressing the
phenomena of global warming and climate change in reducing carbon footprint. You can choose
either:
1. Recording a video on how you and your family help in reducing carbon footprint. (Video
must come with captions or explanations)
2. Construct a scrapbook on how you and your family help in reducing carbon footprint.

A CASE STUDY OF DISEASES ON MALAYSIAN
(A) Assignment:
Conducting a case study of diseases on Malaysian of based on the Ministry of Health statistics to discuss
the most prevalent illnesses in Malaysia, the types of infectious diseases, the causes and the way to
deal with them, to predict the progression of illness based on the Ministry’s Health statistics and the
proposed steps to solve these problem. Present your findings in folio or scrap book.
(B) Learning Concept to know:
a) Chapter 4: Human Health (Infectious & Non-Infectious Disease)
(C) Instructions for students:
Students are required to do a case study based on the statistics of Ministry of Health to discuss the
statement below:
a) The most common diseases faced in Malaysia.
b) Types of infectious diseases, its causes, and method to overcome the diseases.
c) Predicts the progression of diseases based on the statistical graphs of Ministry of Health,
Malaysia.
d) Suggests the steps to establish Malaysia as a country that is free of infectious diseases.
e) Create a poster to increase public awareness about infectious disease.
(D) Important notes for students:
1. Students are required to make a folio or scrap book about finding of this project.
2. Implementation period : 15 JUNE 2020 UNTIL 28 JUNE 2020 (2 weeks)
3. Date of submission : 29 JUNE 2020 (At the School Guard House).

(such as submarines) to float and sink in water.
PROJECT NAME :
Performance Level 6:
Design a presentation using multimedia / visual / folio /
poster / roleplay drama with creative and innovative use
of science knowledge and skills of the density in the
context of problem solving and decision making, with
regards to the social values / economy / culture of the
community.
SUBMARINE PROJECT
(A) PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Students often assume that light objects will float while heavy objects will sink in the water. In fact, the
object’s ability to float or sink is depending on their density. This proves the ability of a submarine to float
and sink even though they are large and build from heavy metals.
(B) PROCEDURE :
1. FACTS FINDING
All students were needed to identify the facts regarding density of materials. All the information can
be search inside the text book, reference books and internet.
2. LEARNING CONCEPTS TO KNOW
a) Density
b) Water displacement method
3. ACTION PLAN
a) Identify various objects that can float or sink in water.
b) Test the ability of objects to float or sink in water.
c) Determine the materials to be used and calculate the total cost (if got) of the materials.
4. SOLUTION
Build a submarine model (from plastic bottle) that can float and sink in a pool. Relate to water
displacement. Suggest applications of density in daily life.
5. PRESENTATION
Make 1 minute of short video on DIY submarine test (with explanation) and send the video
personally to your subject teacher. (Google classroom / whatsapp / telegram)

berkenaan kepelbagaian makanan segera.
2.Maklumat yang diperlukan dalam projek ini termasuklah, bahan-bahan yang digunakan untuk
penyediaan, cara-cara menyediakan makanan segera dan harga makanan ini di pasaran.
3.Murid pada masa yang sama perlu mencari maklumat/nota berkenaan KATA ADJEKTIF (Jenis-
Jenis Kata Adjektif serta contoh-contohnya)
4.Maklumat dikumpul melalui Internet, buku, majalah dan sumber manusia/temu bual.
Membangunkan Projek :
1.Murid mengenal pasti Kata Adjektif yang tepat penggunaannya dalam rencana atau dalam
resipi/penyediaan kepelbagaian jenis makanan segera.
2.Murid perlu memastikan terdapat kepelbagaian jenis Kata Adjektif dalam bahan-bahan/maklumat
makanan segera yang dicari. (cth: lazat, mahal, segar, hijau, manis, sebagainya)
3.Murid cuba menyediakan SATU jenis makanan segera yang berkhasiat mengikut cita rasa
masing-masing di rumah dengan berpandukan resipi yang disediakan. Murid-murid boleh
mendapatkan resipi daripada Internet atau murid-murid boleh memasukkan unsur inovasi dengan
mengubah suai resipi asal kepada makanan segera yang berkhasiat. (contoh; Sandwich, Salad,
Burger, Spageti dan sebagainya)
Menamatkan Projek :
1.Guru membimbing murid menguruskan maklumat yang diperoleh mengikut kreativiti masing-masing.
2.Murid-murid perlu membuat Nota Ringkas Kata Adjektif/Jenis-jenis Kata Adjektif dalam bentuk
bahan grafik yang menarik.
3. Murid menghasilkan karya kreatif bersumberkan maklumat dan bahan daripada makanan
