pe drept cuvAnt in tentativa ran-risti de a concilia ,,arta

,,Arta Mernoriei" va supravielui chiar atacurilor directe ale
Reformei in gindirea unui Giordano Bruno, a unui Cam-

miqcarea enciclopedici gi ,,pansofici" citre 1600 82. Lovitu-
ra de graqie nu-i va fi dati de iconoclasm, ci de ,,metoda"
carteziand..
Sa mai riminern insi un moment in mediul artistic din a
doua jumltate a secolului al XVI-Iea, spre a urmS.ri repercu-
siurrile l$a-nunritei ars mcmordli'oa et imaginatioa asupra
apariqiei unei noi. sister-natiziri a imaginarului. Este suficient
si aruncim o privire asupra terminologiei utilizate de Lo-
niazzo pentru a-i pitrunde intenliile. Domeniile artei,

incctmpostc). Nu nc putenr bucura dc arti ca de un altsarr-
blu ('unita'mrrt, gidrrc), cici membrele sale nu sunt
adunate laolalti (raccolti). Arta nu este intr-adevlr ,,arti", ci
doar nigte fragmente ale faptului artistic firi leglturi intre
ele (senza coiiuzione e co[lcgamcnto). Scrierile sale se vor

mentari, inserarea unui discurs secund, poetic, sau chiar ale-

Unul dintre teoreticienii ,,conversatriei" ca gen literar,
cavalerul de M6r6, compara convorbirea cu prezerltarea suc-
cesivi a unor mici tablouri, care, o dati incheiati conver-
satia, trebuie si forrneze un tot unicl5. lJn altul, Gabriel
Gu6ret, insista asupra pluralitilii planurilor pe care se
desfiqoari o conversaqie li pe care trebuie si fie citiU:
,,Aceeagi conversagie poate fi deopotrivi literari prin citatele
-sale culegere de texte alese pentru calitatea 1or specifici -,
morali sau filozofici prin tema sa - ruinele gi rirnpuf care rrece
-, sociali prin scopul siu - onragir-rl scriitorului citre nn per
sonaj de vazd. -, in sfirqit istorici prin aluziiie fir-rale 1a actuah-

Daci este adevirat ci in structura ,,Cabinetelor de Arna-
tori" intri 9i o compolent; cese_prerirde ci apartine teoriei
converastiei, caracterizarea lui Gu6ret ar putea fi invocati
de nenumirate ori chiar in vederea unei mai bune intrelegeri
a acestor ,,cabinete".
Ce tip de receptare necesiti un tablou care se propune ca
o ,,co11versaqie"? Fiecare in-ragine prezenti intr-un ,,Cabinet
de Amator" este o imagine integrali! ce funcgioneazi insi ca
un fragment dintr-o imagir-re care-l inglobeazl,. Aceasta din
urmi nu este simpla sumi a tuturor imaginilor-fragmente.
Decupajul la care este supus tabloul impiedici ochiul si
urmeze un parcurs linear si il obiien si procedeze in blocuri,
la un ,,fragmeut" la altul, c1e la o
si rneargi firi oprire de
imagine la alta. Privirea ricogeazi neincetar pas cu pas,
rleptlt;lld sa se opreasci niciieri. Privitorului ii revine r-oiul
.le ,r degaja, treptat, o tehnici combinatorie, de a stabiL
punti $i corelatii. O dati primul clcblocaj operat, n-rigcarea
nu se rnai opregte. Lectura intertextuali se substituie le cturii
lineare. Tabloui, care rru aparc initial decit ca r-rn mozaic de

nrultiplc posibilit;iti de a sernnala necesitatea unei oprir-i,fa-
talitatea unei regrupiri. Aceste semnale sturt, pentru ochiul
ntodcm, de -abia intcligibilc. Pcntru cel al privitorului orisi-
