Thiruvanmiyur is a largely residential
neighborhood in the south of Chennai, Tamil
Nadu, India. Thiruvanmiyur witnessed a spike in
its economy with the construction of Chennai's
first dedicated technology office space, the Tidel
Information Technology Park in neighboring
Taramani.
The subsequent rise of several information
technology businesses, research centres and
offices around Tidel park proved fortuitous for
Thiruvanmiyur, as many of the workers at these
offices often made Thiruvanmiyur their home.
The Marundeeswarar Temple, dedicated to Shiva
previously defined the area, leading it to be
mentioned in Sangam Tamil epics. It is also
commonly referred to as the MICO layout of
Chennai city.
The place might derives its name from Thiru-
Valmiki-Ur, meaning location of the temple of
Valmiki.
This place was also referred to as Thiru-aamai-
yur[citation needed] in the Sangam Literature.
Which literally means city of turtles. This town's

Palakkad
As for the history of Palakkad goes, very little is known as about the evidence in the form of reticts
suggests that Palakkad existed during the Paleolothic age. First millennium AD saw the Perumal rulers
exercising their control over the land. Thus control was later distinguished into smaller divisions by the
Perumal governers Accounts of William Logan, the Scottish author of the Malabar regions as one of the
Malabar regions that was captured by the Pallavas of Kanchi .
Palakkad is the largest city of Kerala state. It also known as the Granary of Kerala and Rice bowl of Kerala
. it is famous for its historic Palakkas Fort and Jain Temple , annual Ratholsavam and beautiful and lushy
, Malampuzha Garden and Dam .
How Palakkad derived its name is a bit of of a matter of choice since they there are so many opinions
and views tracing its etymology. According to one version,”Pala”(barren) along with “kadu”(jungle)
joined together to give the land of its name . Yet another version says that it was with respect to the
Jain Temple of the place that led to its name, Palighat ,since Pali is the sacred language of the Jains
Palighat subsequent gave way to Palakkad . The most believed version is the third one according to
which Palakkad over its name to the Pala trees that once occupie its major portion.
Another record describes a was that was fought by the king of Pallakkad in 988 AD to stop the invading
army of king of Kangunadu at Chittur . The victory of Kangunadu in that was is still celebrated in the
form of festival . In 1757,yet another invasion by the Zamorins made the then Raja seek the help of
Mysore rule, Hyder Ali.Hyder Ali. Obliged and eventually secured Palakkad for himself and later his
son,Tipu Sultan . However , with the defeat of Tipu in the third Anglo Mysore war of 1792,Palakkad ,
along with other Malabar territories (belonging to Tipu ) passed off to the British . The British made
Palakkad a part of the Malabar District of Madras state . In 1956,when Kerala came into existence ,
Palakkad became a part of it.
PALAKKAD , the largest producer of rice is known as the granary of Kerala. As many as eight rivers
include Bharathapuzha , the longest river in the state . The hilly district has 136287 hectares of reserve
forest including silent valley. The district which lies at the the foot of the colossal Western Ghats has
only midland and highland areas. Palakkad had vitnessed several alien invasions that had left indieble
impressions on the history of Kerala. The Palakkad Fort of Hyder Ali speaks volumes of Mysores
invasions and the advent of the Britishers to the region.

Mra Signature Bakery & Restaurant in Thirumala, Thiruvananthapuram. Chinese, Biryani, South Indian, North
Indian, Kerala, Indian, Street
Over 2000 years of history have shaped the cuisine of the idyllic Indian coastal region of Malabar. Once the
epicenter of the old spice trade, the settlers from the Arab world, Portugal, Turkey, and the Netherlands all
helped create the delicious and unique dishes we see in the modern day state of Kerala.
Mannil Rayroth Abdullla understood his homeland tradition of fusion better than the most. In 1965 he made it
his mission to combine the best of Malabar Cuisine with Western-style bread and cakes, working day and night
to develop new and innovative recipes to the highest culinary. Starting out from a single store, the MRA Bakery
quickly spread throughout the entire region.
Building on over 50 years of achieving excellence in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) market, MRA
continued to improve its operating performance and its competitive position in this sector. An extensive review
of the company’s organisational structure and business processes in the last couple of years has brought about
significant changes in the company’s performance. Innovative strategies were developed and implemented, and
our new state-of-the-art production complex started recently to operate.
Since 1965, the company has seen a lot of expansion and change, but the way MRA Bakery and Foods operates
is still based on the principles left by Mannil Rayroth Abdullah which emphasize family values and integrate
those values into daily operations.
We have young generations of Mannil family to take MRA legacy forward with pride. Our leaders are Mr.
Mohamed Mannil (Chairman), Mr. Ayyoob Mannil (Executive Director), Mr. Abdul Nisar Mannil (Executive
Director), and Mr. Abdul Gadhaf Mannil (Executive Director).
IMPORTANT PLACES IN THIRUMALA
School life is special for everyone. Making a lot of friends, growing with knowledge, everlasting advice from
teachers, etc, will never diminish.
Especially at AMHSS, this is where you experience to become a good human being rather than a mere
academic performer. Most experienced teachers here sharing knowledge for decades, most nostalgic
classrooms, traditional building structures, and of course the little memories you make at different corners of
the friendship are the gems you find here.
PANGODE MILITARY CAMP
Located in the city of Trivandrum, Kerala, Pangode is an area that has consistently maintained its reputation
for cleanliness, and more importantly, has always managed to elicit a sense of calmness every time I have
passed through it.
The place is clean because it is occupied only by the army and its establishments. Pangode is so tidy, I have felt
the entire area was carved from paradise and was dropped in Trivandrum
