FIVE HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME

This book is about 4 cousins Anne, Dick, George and Julian who go on a camping
trip to Faynights Fields. George with her loyal dog Timmy, arrives a few days after
the 3 other cousins because she came down with a cold. On the day of George's
scheduled arrival, Anne, Dick and Julian reach the train station to pick up George
from the train. They had settled the two caravans on a beautiful field with a stream to
collect water.They hear about a fair coming to the place the were staying. The first
thing they noticed about the fair-folk was that they weren't very friendly towards the
five. They went towards a carava with a long box below it. The owner of the caravan
comes to them and shouts at them to go away. He takes out the box and it had two
snakes in it who he started to comfort. They tried the same with a few others, but
their reaction was no different from the snake man. Sad and disapointed by their
reactions, they retire for the day. They had supper, and went off to sleep. The next
day, they decided to go for a stroll near the sea. They talk to the fisherman about their
business and think about borrowing a boat for an hour or so. But when they return to
the field where there caravans were supposed to be, they found a nasty surprise.
Their caravans were nowhere to be seen! They asked the fair folk about it, but they
seemed to think it was a collosal joke!. The man who ate fire, Alfredo, finally gave
away and led them to the caravans after the four threatened them by calling the cops.
It was in the field next to them.At first they were okay with it, but the next morning
they were forced to leave by a farmer who owned the land. Sad again, they left the
field in search of a new place to stay. Then, they find out that their close friend Jo,
was actually the niece of Alfredo the fire eater!. They apologize for they unkind
behaviour, and allow the five to stay in their field. One day, while having a picnic,
Julian spots a face at the window of the old abandoned castle. They become very
suspicious because they knew nobody was allowed to go up that high, even if they
were visiters. While investigating, they find that Timmy, their dog, came in
somehow, even though they had left him outside for the time being. Timmy shows
them the secret passage he came through.
They follow Timmy and find out that the passage leads inside the castle. They pass
rooms with real weapons and finally reach a room where they saw the face. They
unbolt the door, and found one of the two missing scientists Terry-Kane!. He tells
them that Pottersham, the other scientist, had kidnapped him and was about to deport
him to another country and reveal their science secrets to the world.

We, humans, are so demanding and
selfish,
We cut the trees, mountains to fulfill our
wish,
Water is getting less, the air is full of
pollution,
We create the problem but don't follow
the solution.

We want big houses, playgrounds but
forget to plant trees,
Nature has given us in abundance but we
humans forget to seize,
Trees have been cut, roads have been
made to access,
We run to the mountains whenever we
are under stress.

Greenery is faraway, hill stations have
become a concrete jungle,
Rivers have squeezed, water is on sale
but we do not fumble,
We should be thankful to Mother Earth
for giving us so selflessly,
We do not treasure it and destroy the
resources so carelessly.

I learned and took a pledge on my
birthday last year,
I will do my part by gifting and planting
trees every year.
Let's all promise ourselves to be

THE ESCAPE (STORY)
It was the day for the selection.I was fidgeting and shuffling around my place due to
uncertainty. I was at the back of my line so no one noticed. I looked at the old clock,
waiting for the selection to be over. It had to happen on Saturday again though.

At last it got over. They took me and the rest of the young people towards our cells.
The dark and dirty cells.....

I'm Carl. I'm 17 year olds and I'm turning 18 this sunday. I have short blonde hair
brown eyes.I've been living in this stange laboratory and prison since I was 8.
Apparently, we are some strong and very fast kids who are better than your average
people.
That's why we are bought here, and are enclosed with rugged cells and guards. Every 2
days in a week, we're called for selection in which 3 kids are selected and are sent to
the laboratory for testing. Nobody knows what happens to them and no one has ever
seen them come back from there....

Finally I reached my small and shabby cell. The maid beside me just opened the door
and threw me inside it. I sat down. It was a musty cell and was made by steel. There
was only one small window by which I could peek in.The best part of this cell is that
it's beside the kitchen. I can smell all the tasty food out there. Also there a small hole in
my cell but all I can take out from there is small baking powder tin....

The evening left by and the night drifted in. There I saw her, Ann. She was a young 17
year old girl who worked here as a maid and had her long brown hair into a plait.

She looked at me to and smiled.Although the maids and caretakers are strictly
forbidden to talk with us. Ann talks with me. It's because I can take out the small
baking powder for her with which she secretly makes cakes for herself. In exchange,
she brings me a novel every week which helps me pass my time. That's our limit.
Although I did play cards with her once on Christmas.

Ann: " Here's , your new novel. The dark sunset. Just give me my powder and I'll
leave."
Carl: " Ok, I'll give but first just tell me what's happens in the laboratory, I heard you
went there today for the first time.."

Ann: " Do you want to get your novel or not ...?"
Although Ann talked in a stern and impolite voice...her face was quite sad today....I
felt that i shouldn't talk with her more. She must have seen something horrible at the
laboratory which she didn't want to tell me.

Carl:" Fine....here's your baking powder. Good night. "

Ann: " Good night, and don't worry ok? It's all fine at the lab."
She lied. She lied so easily. I couldn't help it though, all I can hope for is to find a
way out of here...

Saturday came. An old grumpy came at my cell.
Maid:"Come on, we have to go now. The selection is starting..”
Carl: " No. I don't want to..." I said with a bit of angry tone...

Maid:" Come here, I don't have all day...." And then she dragged me all over to the
selection ceremony.

We were late for the ceremony. When we reached, the scientist had already
started choosing.... After a few minutes, my eyes accidentally meet the scientist
eyes. I got freaked and knocked out in a second...

Scientist: " You...." he said, with a clear voice.
Carl:" me...?" I stammered.
Scientist: " Yes ...you." he said it again.

And then a caretaker came behind me. I tried to run but then he holded my hand
tightly and put up a syringe in it.

Carl:" No, pls stop...." I said while looking at others.....and then suddenly I lost my
conscious

A bright light starked flicking and irritated my eyes. I slowly started to open them ,
while trying to move my hands and feet. When my eyes opened a bit, they peeked
around the room. It was a compact room. There was a surgical light just above me.
Besides me there were some knives, scciors and bandages kept. I looked in the
front and saw a few people wearing surgical masks .... They were the caretakers
who were waiting for someone....

Caretaker no.1 :" They haven't touched the boy yet. I think that this time they'll start
the operation tomorrow.

Caretaker no. 2: " Really, in the morning? I doubt so....shouldn't the boy be dead by
then..?"

Caretaker no.1: " Shh! Don't speak stuff like that! Be careful!...."

Caretaker no.2:" Whatever, let's go it's time for our different duty now ..."

And the 2 ladies left. But I was too scared now...will I die? No, I find a way
out..somehow.
Still the thought of death scared me. I wasn't even eighteen yet. I had to find a
escape.Now.

I looked around, examined here and there. I couldn't even move my hands and feets
because they were chained up by metal rods on the wall. ..I tried shaking as much as
possible but it wasn't working. There was a lock on them. I had to find a key to open
them.

I heard a voice. Someone was coming. Their footsteps told me. And through the
window I saw none other Ann.

Ann: " Oh, this time it's you." She said with a lazy tone while wondering what to do
next...afterall she did know me...

Carl: " I know Ann...I don't know if you'll help me or not, but I'm going to escape
from here...but still, can you pls help me.." I said in a genuine tone...

Ann: What help do you need ? She asked me whle looking at the scciors.....she was
ignoring me.

Carl: " At first, I need a key...a key for this." And then I showed my hands and legs
which were chained up...

Ann left. I hoped that she was going to find my keys.. I knew she had a soft corner
too..

Ina few mins...Ann came back. This time with keys. There were a bunch of them.
She had also worn gloves now. She didn't want fingerprints on them..

Ann: " Here, it's this one...just use them and open up the locks..."

Carl: " Ok...thanks." I said and opened the locks.

Ahh...I was finally free but wasn't. I looked at Ann again. She was scowling at me
this time..
Carl: " Can you help me again ....pls, I don't want to die.."

Ann: " No....no...no....ok, fine I'll help..it's the last time though. "

Carl: " Do you how I can escape?" I asked, hoping she'll give me a answer...

Carl: " We can escape together, if you want...let's get out of here , it's dangerous."

Ann: " Hmmm.....it is dangerous out here. But it's dangerous for you...not me. But I
can help you....I know one way."

Carl: " Ok...I'll follow your lead."

Ann: Hurry, can bring the keys ....you'll need them.

We got of the room. It was quite dark except for the lamp placed at a few
corners...we kept walking straight until Ann tilted towards the right. We found a dead
end.

Carl: "Wow...a dead end. "

Ann: " keep quiet! It's not a dead end." She told me and showed me a secret passage
which was beneath our legs...I quickly opened the small door with Ann keys and we
went downstairs....

It was damp and dark. Ann, suddenly took her torch out and we could see again.

Ann: it's a storage space...if u look at the left you'll see the ladder.....climb up on it
and open the door above it ..it's not locked so you'll easily get out.

Carl: " Thanks...." I said and I immediaty started climbing up...Ann was behind me
and was going up on the stairs too..I opened up the door and finally got out! Finally!
I was free..
Carl:" Oh my god! The wait's over! I'm free now!
Ann: " Shh...you're a grown man now..don't scream. She said, as she came out from
the ladder. I got a bit confused and even my face showed that...

Ann: " Happy birthday! You're a adult now! It's 12 in my watch!" She said while
showing her old fashioned watch.

Carl: "Wow...I'm finally a adult." I said.

Ann: " It's time to leave birthday boy! Though this area is isolated, there a village
nereby ...you can stop there and then go towards the city...be safe." She said.

I stood up and looked at Ann again.
Carl: "Aren't you gonna come...let's go."

Ann: No Carl , I still have some work here. Don't worry I'll come out of here soon.
Here take this...it's my pendant. Take care of it, ok.

Carl: " Sure....I promise. " I said with tears in my eyes...I was free but alone.

I ran as fast as I could....I looked at Ann for one last time. With my wet eyes I
requested her for one last to come with me and be free.

I saw her. She was there, she was coming ...she wanted to be free to. And then we
both ran....towards a new future

GOPAL AND HARICHANDRA
Once upon a time, there lived two men named Gopal and Harichandra.
Haricandra was rich, cruel, and greedy. However, Gopal was poor, kind, and
forgiving. It happened one day that Harichandra declared that he was going to be
a doctor and earn a living, while poor Gopal had nothing to say of this. He was
far too poor for a job, but decided he was going to buy a cat. He was kind and
loving to the cat and named it Krishnagra. One day a surprising thing happened.
He stroked the cat and it vanished, and appeared in a quick second, not alone,
but with a large bag that contained rubies, pearls, emeralds, gold, silver, bronze,
diamonds, platenium and turquoise. Gopal was first very frightened at seeing so
much wealth, but recovered soon and danced in victory and happiness. He did
this every day and soon his house was swimming with jewels. He bought a
jeweller to his home and sold it to him for a high price, and started living a
comfortable life. Meanwhile, Harichandra was having problems of his own. He
was doing his job carelessly and people decided not to go to him. The hospital
chairman noticed this and immediately fired Harichandra. Soon he came to
know about Gopal’s sudden wealth and was filled with anger, it all seemed to
have topsy turvy, Gopal was now rich and he was poor as he was not getting
salary. Therefore, he went and burned Gopal’s house while he was out shopping.
Gopal was upset with his burned house and asked Shrinagra who had done it,
the clever cat vanished and re-appeared with Harichandra. So Gopal knew at
once but forgave him. Harichandra apologised and made friends with him and
lived being kind and nice for the rest of his life.”

X-ELBRUS THE FLIGHT (STORY)

It was a quite typical day. Except the fact that it was exceptional. I left my blonde

hair open and was wearing a nice blue dress. I had taken the seat beside the window

and had patched up everything while listening to the songs on my headphones.....

I just waved my hand to my mimi, papi (mother and father) who were in front of me
to assure them I was fine.

Mimi: " is everything alright Eva?"
Eva: " Everything is fine here Mimi, I'm pretty comfortable"

The sixteen year old me was so so eager and breathless for the flight to take of and
couldn't even wait for a second more.
The seat beside me was empty. Probably because no one had booked it. I looked
towards the window and saw the misty aeroplane take of.....

The veiw was nostalgic for me, as it somehow reminded me of my trip though
a train. Everything turned quite small, the houses, roads and the cars etc. It all looked
good until the plane reached just above the sea...after that the scenery was only blue.

I decided to take a nap and took my headphones off. I took a glance at the clouds for
one last time and kept staring at them until the plane went away from them and then I
dozed off...

My eyes and lips were perfectly sealed due to my nap and had cut me off from the
outside world, until I heard a huge and loud cracking sound inside the plane. My eyes
quickly opened wide and somehow peeked at everything while the pilot's voice
started streaming in the plane.

Pilot: " Pls stay calm, we are under a emergency situation. The aeroplane is in a storm
that is just above the sea. We are telling about this to the authorities. Pls stay .."

And the voice suddenly cut off. The lights too.
A white striking ray of light came and was followed by loud cracking sounds. It went
dark again.

Suddenly, I heard a harsh, ear splitting noise inside the plane. It was probably the
plane's engine. It had burned down. Just when nothing was getting better, the left
wing of the plane got on fire!

The plane started going down, and everyone started screaming for help. I tried
finding some supplies and oxygen masks but in panic I wasn't able to find anything. I
could just stare at the window and hope for a better outcome.
The plane crashed. There was an immense sound and the breakdown of the plane.
There were glasses of the windows ,luggages,boxes and water flooding all over.
Everything just turned black. Just black.
My eyes started flicking and then slowly started to open up properly. There were
pieces of glasses and broken stuff on the seat and my body. There was blood all over
my legs, arms and neck . I stood up and looked around to find mimi and papi.

There was chaos everywhere. People were were lying here and there, all covered in
blood, glass and broken stuff. Some were on on their seats while others were lying
on the ground. I quickly moved past through the bodies and found my parents who
were on their seats.

Eva : " Mimi, Papi wake up! Pls wake up! Don't leave me alone! Plss. Mimi pls wake
up. Papi pls wake up. "

Tears blurred out of my eyes. My throat got sore after every sheirk. My whole body
was in pain and agony while hefty tears went over my flesh wounds. The pain and
grief was immense and had shaken me up till the core. But my parents didn't wake
up.

In just a few hours, my whole life had been torn up in shreds. It was completely
shattered.

I took a glance at the other passengers as I really hoped that someone else had
survived the plane crash. I tried waking everyone up. I screamed and screamed at the
top of my lungs. But nothing happened.

Immediately, some colorful lights started to appear from far away. It was beautiful.
By looking at the lights I wondered where I had come? I certainly didn't know. I did
reliaze that I was on land, but the plane crashed in the sea. So how did I come here? I
forgot all about it when I was finding survivors.

Since I had no time to waste, I quickly examined the plane to look for something
useful. All I found was a bat. It wasn't quite useful but i thought It might help so I
picked it .

I got out of the plane. The plane had been completely destroyed. There were fumes
everywhere around the plane. The plane's left had been completely burned and the
right one had been broken into pieces. Most of the plane parts had been brunt.

The plane was on a hill. The hill was isolated from the city. It was quite steep and
high. My bare feet touched the grass and felt relieved. Probably because it had been
long since I had contacted with nature.

I started running as fast as I could. To me it felt like I was racing the wind. I ran
down towards the city which was quite far. I could hear growling and hissing of
creatures.
Some movements. But I didn't stop. I kept running.

And then it appeared- the loud hissing creature. It's body was sleek, tall and white . It
didn't have eyes but it had a long tongue and had crooked thin teeth. It's arms and
legs were quite skinny.

It terribly terrified me. I couldn't even look. I didn't have a choice. It started making
weird sounds around me. It felt like I had seen him before. In my dreams. For 3
seconds I didn't move. Infact I freezed.

He started getting closer to me. He put his dirty, thin nails forwards. Without waiting
for a second, he jumped on me. I quickly rolled aside and was relieved that my reflex
actions were still working.

I got up. The creature looked at me again. This time his tongue seemed to more
hungrier and angriler towards me. He stood up and pounced on me, but this time my
weak, swinging hands got ahead of me and used their entire strength to hit him hard
on his stomach with the help of the bat.

There, he fell down to the ground again. I wanted to run but couldn't. With my hands
trembling and feets shaking my body could only stand and glare at the monster.

The monster started screaming and made annoying sounds. I closed my ears and eyes
and couldn't take this anymore. The monster was going to probably attack me at any
second.

Suddenly, the noise stopped and instead a beautiful melody started. It was of
a flute.The monster groaned and groaned and ran away.

I was surprised and happy. Finally the monster had gone. I started running faster and
faster while listening to the melodious song. I wondered who played it.

I reached out to the city. It was beautiful and high- tec. There were shops all lined up
and people were all around. There was quite a lot of hustle-buste.

I looked around and called for help. But nobody listed. I tried meeting people but
they wouldn't notice me! It was as if I was invisible!
I kept trying and trying but it was a failure. Nevertheless I kept trying harder.

Suddenly someone saw me. He was a tall, young guy, with striking white hair and
green color highlights. On his hand he had a stange glowing sign of a bow and arrow.
He was probably around my age and he had a flute!

He looked at me with a pleasing smile. I went towards him and started talking.

Eva: "HI. I'm Eva, who are you ?”
I asked him. He looked quite strong but nice.
I had a feeling he could help me. I hoped he could get me out of here.

Robin: " I'm Robin, from the side street. And you are ?
He asked with a simple smile, although he knew that I wasn't from here.

Eva:" Fro,from the plane ...I stammered" I got emotional and almost cried. I didn't
want to be alone and just wanted everything to be normal. Robin touched my
shoulder and said-

Robin: "Don't worry, I'm there for you."
His words were calm and comforting.
I pointed towards the hill that was far away. If you looked at it closely you could see
the plane. He looked at the hill silently.

Robin: "Oh my god! How did that reach up here!?" he exclaimed. If felt as it he knew
everything one way or another. I didn't need to explain him further.

Robin:" Come on, let's go there" he said with no hesitation and a strong , determined
voice .
We were ready.

We went towards the hill. But this time, I wasn't with fear. I was with hope, trust and
a new friend.

We finally reached to the hill. Looking back at the city I reliazed how far and away
we were from the normal world, which wasn't normal.

Robin : " Eva, are you sure you wanna go up here? If you want you can quit and go
back."

Eva: " No. I'm not going back.It's not going to get me anything."

Robin:" That's true." He said with a quirky smile.

We started walking on the hill. I kept my bat ready, just in case. I saw Robin climbing
up the hill. His flute was hung behind his back.

Eva:" Your flutes quite amazing, I could hear it up on the hill too....how did you do
that?" I asked him. I knew it by now that it was his flute who drew the monster away
from me.

Robin: " That's a secret! I'm sorry I can't tell that to you. " he said.

Eva: " will you play it while we go up the hill now ?" I asked.
Robin: " No." His voice was stern and clear.

We kept going towards the plane until I saw the monster again. But this time it wasn't
alone. There were 3 growling n starving monsters in front of me and Robin. They
started coming towards us.

Robin took out his knifes, but when he looked at me with a bat he gave me one of the
knives and then ran over to the monsters.

He leaped over one of them and stabbed it in its shoulders. The monster screamed in
pain and agony and threw him out on the grass.

On the other hand, I was playing hide n seek with the other monsters. They were
trying to find me under the bushes and trees. Since they were blind it was easy to
hide from them.
But I had to be quiet. I was waiting for the right time

And the right time appeared. I just was right behind the monster. He was looking for
me forward. I took my knife out and stabbed him hard in the back on its neck.He got
a bit dizzy and fell down while I removed the knife and moved out of the bushes to
find Robin. By now he was out of sight.

Instantly, I saw a huge shadow in front of me.
I was shocked and crepped out. It was the monster, the last one. I was so close to him
unknowingly that I could even hear his ghastly breath. In a second, he picked me up
in his hand and I screamed. I stabbed the bloody knife in his arms but his grip was
quite tight so nothing happened out of it.

I saw Robin up on a tree beside the monster. He pounced on it and started hitting him
hard on his head with a stone. The monster groaned and growled on us. With no time
to waste, I threw the knife to Robin. Robin catched it fast and pricked the knife in the
monster's head.

The monster fell down. We got of the monster and Robin picked up the knife and
cleaned it. We started walking away towards the plane.

Finally we reached towards the plane. The soul crushing- broken plane, but there I
was invited by an unknown visitor who knew Robin.

Arthur: "HI I'm Arthur, you must be Eva right? "
Eva : "Yes." I replied .
Arthur he was long, tall man with black hair. There was nothing special with him
except the fact he had the same glowing sigh on his hand like Robin.
Robin:" Eva, he's going to help us get everything back to normal...don't worry, ok?"

Eva: " Yup"

Arthur: " Are you ready Eva , just get back to your seat and close your eyes and count
till 3 ok...everything will be fine..."

Eva: " Yes..but I'm still confused, first of all who are you ? And how did I end up
here?"
Arthur: "To be honest, we're just random strangers to everybody, but on the other
hand we are also Aztar, people who can control and guard time. We usually check
and keep hold of time so that people don’t end up in future or in past.

Arthur : Yes, and apparently your plane accidently crashed 3 days into the future due

After the small prep talk, I sat on my airplane seat and said a tearful goodbye
...Robin, told me to not worry and even holded my hand. I closed my eyes, and said
1, 2 and 3.....

And unblocked my eyes for a new sunshine. And oh my ! I was back in the plane!!
Everything became normal!!!

I took a gaze at everything. I found my parents talking to each other forward. Ah,
what a relief. I couldn't believe that it was normal again.

It felt like it was a dream. Maybe it was. I saw through the window and figured out it
was going to land soon. I started collecting my stuff and saw my hand. My hand
wasn't normal anymore. It had the same golden sign on it. Like the one Arthur and
Robin had. I was one of them now......

Tore us apart and changed the game we play
Suddenly we’re all alone, and have no idea where this road goes
But for now, hold on to the hope things will get better soon
Just like how in the darkness we find solace in the moon
And I know you ask yourself will this phase come to an end
Yes, it will and we will begin again
And I know you’re so cynical and don’t believe what I say, you’ve lost
faith
But just hold on, because we will rise from the ashes of our lost lives
again
