Furthermore, a well-defined curriculum aligned to the vision, mission and goals of the National Education Policy empowers an educator to design and provide valuable experiences for life to learners. DECODING NCF WORKSHOP In Association with Macmillan Education India in association with Macmillan Education India on Saturday, 29th April 2023. It was facilitated by Ms. Manju Sehgal, Director and Member of Educational Research, Design and Training team at Teacher SITY since 2008. Ms. Sehgal discussed the importance of NCF and its guiding principles. She explained how NCF serves as an effective framework for designing school curriculum, textbooks, and teaching practices. She encouraged the mentors to create a meaningful and experiential learning environment for learners that would help them to assimilate information. The session was very well received by educators. After all, an educator innovating the teaching-learning process as per the learning needs of pupils, delivers the biggest service to mankind and humanity while nurturing thinking responsible citizens of tomorrow. To enable mentors gain an in-depth understanding of the proposed recommendations in National Curriculum Framework 2023 and incorporate them in the teachinglearning process, the school organized a workshop on ‘Decoding NCF 2023’
WORKSHOP ON MICROSOFT INNOVATIVE EDUCATOR EXPERT 2024 May 2023 We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world. Learning and innovation go hand in hand. With the fast-changing needs of the world in all arenas, there is a constant need to innovate, as what we did yesterday will never be sufficient for tomorrow. At Lotus Valley, we uphold the firm belief that change begins at the micro level. Educators are the real change makers and problem solvers who have an unparalleled commitment to innovate education and suit the changing needs of learners. To further empower educators to integrate technology into teachinglearning practices, the Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert workshop was organized on 23rd and 24th May 2023. The workshop made available comprehensive know-how about various Microsoft tools that can redefine teaching and learning methodologies. The session was concluded with Ms. Meenakshi Uberoi, the workshop facilitator, resolving participant’s queries. It was well understood and agreed upon that innovation no longer remains a choice but has become an imperative.

SCHOLAR BADGE CEREMONY Grade V (Session - 2022-23) , 11th MAY’2023 "Success is not final; failure is not fatal; it is the will to continue that counts" - Winston Churchill To unveil the journey of unparalleled resilience and academic achievements of the Scholars, the Scholar Badge Ceremony for Grade V, session 2022- 23 was organized on 11th May, 2023 by Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram. The event commenced with an enthralling musical presentation of 'Nai Disha' by the School Choir, echoing the very essence of empowering learners to bring about a positive transformation in their environment. The programme dawned with the Welcome address by Director Principal, Ms Anita Malhotra, who expressed immense pride in the achievements of these learners in curricular and co-curricular activities. Ma’am elaborated on how the school encourages the holistic development of its students and provides them with numerous opportunities to grow, further emphasizing on the importance of being kind and expressing gratitude by counting our blessings. She advocated that perseverance and dedication is the key to success, and motivated the young learners to keep striving for excellence. As a hallmark of true academic brilliance, 96 scholars of Grade V were awarded badges and certificates of excellence in scholastic and co-scholastic arenas.
Acknowledging and felicitating the Budding Authors of Grades III - V, they were awarded Badge Pins, for their fine imaginative skills, assimilated in thought - provoking and spectacular books. This was followed by an exhilarating and graceful dance performance on 'Tattva - The Essence of Values' by the talented dancers of Grades V, VI and VII. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Vice - Principal, Ms Ritu Jawa in which she acknowledged and appreciated the scholars for their hard work, grit and determination. The whole ambience was vibrant with the cheers and applause of the proud parents, grandparents and teachers for the students who stood the test of time and emerged as winners. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.” -Bear Bryant On 12th May, 2023, Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram, presented the scholars of Grade VI and VII (Batch- 2022-23) with scholar badges. The event began with an astounding performance by the school choir which hit all the right notes and left the auditorium filled with vivacity and vigour. It was followed by an inspirational speech by our respected Director- Principal, Ms. Anita Malhotra. Ma’am instilled in the scholars a spirit to achieve even greater success and congratulated the proud parents on the successful completion of the previous session. Dr. Roma Kumar, a renowned Psychologist and Sr Consultant, was the chief guest for the day, whose words filled the hearts of young achievers with an aspiration for their bright futures. The scholars of grade VI and VII were then rewarded with certificates and badges as an appreciation for their tremendous hard work. Our Budding Authors, who have written and published a book under their names, were also felicitated to appreciate their achievements at such a young age. Towards the end, the learners presented an exhilarating performance which brought the event to its rightful conclusion. SCHOLAR BADGE CEREMONY Grades VIII, IX and XI (Session - 2022-23) , 13th July ’2023 “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Eleanor Roosevelt These golden words truly reflect the gleaming gusto and the victorious spirits of the young scholars of Grades VIII, IX and XI who were felicitated with the prestigious Scholar Badges for the Academic Session 2022-23 at the Scholar Badge Ceremony which is a much-awaited annual tradition at Lotus Valley International School. The event was graced by our esteemed Director Principal Ms. Anita Malhotra. The event was livestreamed on the school’s YouTube Channel as well. The event commenced with our glittering school choir presenting a heartfelt, soulstirring musical rendition-Eye of The Tiger which was majestic and resonant. The anchors Abhie Gupta and Ashrita Chakraborty invited President and Vice President Student Council Jaanvi Pande and Anirudh Govindan to present an exordium on the event. It was followed by an ingenious address by Director Principal ma’am that stimulated numerous young minds with positivity. She appreciated parents’ involvement with school which ensures students’ success and applauded the extraordinary CBSE Board Examination Results for the academic year 2022-23
She shared the true meaning of a scholar which refers to a form of learning that never stops. She advised that a scholar must possess humility, keen knowledge of his/her abilities, effort and enthusiasm, foresight and far sight and to read well to embark upon new experiences. She urged them to transform from a good to a great human with strong work ethic. It was followed by the Scholar Badge Ceremony which aimed at applauding the Young Achievers who have not only mastered the scholastic domains but also set the newest benchmarks in coscholastic areas and emerged as the true champions of Lotus Valley’s Grand Legacy. NATIONAL ASSESSMENT FOR SCIENTIFIC TEMPERAMENT AND APTITUDE “NASTA” conducted by CSIR (Government of India), felicitated the National, State and District winners who surpassed all expectations and clinched the top spots at the KAMP NASTA 2022-23 Vidhi Vashisth and Rachit Rustagi emerged as National Winners. Churchill Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram hosted the 4th & the Final Scholar Badge Ceremony of the Ac Session on 14th July 2023 to celebrate the Scholastic and Co-scholastic achievements of scholars of Grades X & XII (Outgiong Class of ‘23. The School Auditorium reverberated with high, positive energy as proud parents and scholars gathered to witness the prestigious event. The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with the chanting of the mantras and ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The anchors for the day, Abhimanyu Arora (Grade XI) and Myra Sharma (Grade IX) extended a hearty welcome to the special guests- School Patron, respected Dr. Shayama Chona , School Chairperson Ms. Jaspreet Kaur and Ms. Sureena Uppal, Member, Managing Committee. Thereafter, Jaanvi Pande, President Student Council & Anirudh Govindan, Vice- President Student Council presented an exordium as they shared the essence of the Scholar Badge Ceremony. INVESTITURE CEREMONY May 2023 "The function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers." -Ralph Nader Lotus Valley International School, Gurgaon felicitated and celebrated the achievements of its extraordinary learners who made their mark through their hard work, commitment and became the true champions of the legacy of joyful learning in the grand Investiture Ceremony held on 18th May 2023 The occasion was graced by our esteemed school patron Dr Shayama Chona,Member of the Managing Committee ,Ms. Sureena Uppal and The Director-Principal, Ms. Anita Malhotra . The Director-Principal, Ms. Anita Malhotra enlivened the gathering with her insightful address and shared the school’s outstanding Board Results for the academic session 2022-23 with the school average of 86.5% in Grade 12 and 90% in Grade 10 with 52 students making it to the 100 marks club. She congratulated the newly nominated members She beautifully encouraged non badge leadership inspired by the Father of the Nation Mahatama Gandhi who rose high without designation and became a true karm yogi. Aryaman Bisht, the Former Head-Boy and Mahak Datta, the Former Head-Girl for the academic session 2022-23 shared their experiences as the torchbearers for the newly commissioned student body. It was a truly proud moment to have our dearest School Patron, Shayama Chona administer the oath to our new members of the Student Council Body. Dr. Shayama Chona shared the most inspiring message of love and joy and that learners have limitless possibilities ahead of them. They could be the Prime Minster, Mahatama Gandhi or Churchill but they must remain joyful. She also encouraged them to be grateful to parents, school, and society. Our sprightly learners raised the exultation by presenting Cadence, a musical harmony of beats. Jaanvi Paande, President and Anirudh Govindan, Vice President of the Student Council 23-24 to shared their grand vision followed by Shaurya Agarwal and Kaina Malik, the Head Boy and Head Girl 23-24 encouraged the most competent Student Council Body to embody a balanced unification of positive attitude, critical thinking, willingness to learn, team spirit and leadership.The event was brought to a befitting closure with the National Anthem.

HINDI OLYMPIAD – HINDI VIKAS MANCH Grades I - X “Winning isn’t getting ahead of others, it is getting ahead of yourself” Lotus Valley International School, Gurgaon, under the able guidance of our Director-Principal, Mrs Anita Malhotra facilitated the Hindi Olympiad on 8 October 2022. This was coveted by the prestigious Hindi Vikas Manch, Delhi. With immense diligence and zeal learners from grades I-X, participated in the Olympiad examination which evaluated their conceptual knowledge. They were assessed on, vocabulary, grammar, subject proficiency along with knowledge of eminent literary figures of Hindi Language. It was gratifying to see the glorious results, and once again the Lotusians made the school proud. Dhruv Babbar, secured the 2nd Position at the International Level and was honored with a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of Rs. 3100. 17 Gold Medals, 31 silver Medals and 9 Bronze medals were awarded to our learners. “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential. NSTSE OLYMPIAD Ivana Agarwal , Grade V Maples Young Achiever Ivana Agarwal, Grade V Maples NSTSE Olympiad 2023 ‘Self-belief and hard work will always win you success’ Ivana Agarwal scored full marks and secured All India Rank 7 in National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) 2023 conducted by Unified Council. She won a gold medal, certificate of outstanding performance, cash prize of INR 2000 and a gift voucher of INR 1198 for her stupendous performance. The exam is a composite paper consisting of Science, Math's and Critical Thinking and it assesses the conceptual understanding of the learners. Lakhs of students participated in the Olympiad across the nation and Ivana came out with flying colors. Heartiest Congratulations! We wish that you continue this journey of excellence. EMERGING AUTHOR CERTIFICATE Siyona Bakshi – Grade IX Kamet We take pride in introducing yet another enigmatic author from our school, Siyona Bakshi. Siyona has taken a fancy to books from a very early age. However, books are not her only friends; she is also a classical dancer and loves to play the keyboard. With a voracious appetite for reading, Siyona has explored various genres. Needless to say, when she was provided an opportunity to present her own creation on BriBooks, she penned down a remarkable book that weaves together the magic of fiction with essential life lessons. Within the captivating pages of her book, ‘Flavours within Us’ lie two enchanting stories, carefully crafted to uplift and ignite the hearts and minds of its young readers. JUNIOR SOLO KATHAK Tamanna Anand, Grade VII Ravi PESAC Entertainment Pvt Ltd., in association with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, had organized the 10th All India Dance Competition in Noida on the 20th and 21st of April 2023. Tamanna Anand, learner of Grade VII Ravi, participated in the ‘Junior Solo Kathak Category’ and bagged the third position. We congratulate Tamanna and wish her all the best in all future endeavors.
