The TechFlo range of bench top air extraction cabinets offer an
excellent and more versatile alternative to full sized fume cupboards. 2 F UME EXTRACTION CABINET Air volume
They are not intended as direct replacements for fume cupboards displaced
in all aspects, but offer a more affordable alternative for certain Model Dimensions 335€m3/hr
applications. They are suitable for use with organic chemicals,
smoking experiments, microbiology and any lower-level fume and FU101840 T660 680 x 660 x 610 mm £1,608.61 ea
dust experiments, but not suitable for use with chlorine, bromine, (W x D x H)
hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide etc.
These units are UK designed and manufactured to offer a storable
plug-and-play alternative when a full size lab fume cupboard is
impractical or too costly, but where contaminant capture is necessary
to meet Health and Safety standards and legislation.
They are ideal for reducing risks to health posed by monomers,
adhesives, hazardous powders and particulates, resins, solvents etc.
The easily accessible hoods and shields feature service access ports
for balances and equipment. Their convenient size, ability to offer first
class air filtration or extraction in such a compact system, and ability
to be moved and/or stored easily means they can be a valuable tool
within the education sector.

The following information refers to our Premium Range of Bunsen Burners ONLY
Our Premium Range burners are constructed using a heavy pressure die-cast base, which is finished in a
chemically resistant blue acrylic paint and nickel plated brass chimneys. All burners are factory tested for
flame quality and leakage before packing, using the standard gas pressure and specified gas type for each
burner. Base diameter: 80mm.
Natural Gas Burners Burner Type Gas Heat Output
Typical flame temperatures with the air inlet open (‘blue flame’) will Consumption (BTU/hour)*
be 900 to 1000˚C. This temperature is achieved at the tip of the (litres/hour)*
blue flame. Typically the flame temperature with the air hole closed
(‘yellow flame’) will be 750 to 800˚C. A yellow flame is not only Micro NG 27 980
cooler but also ‘dirtier’ than a blue flame and is likely to coat heated

The temperatures achieved depend on the mains gas pressure and
chemical composition of the gas. Standard mains gas pressure in the 13mm NG 107.5 3900
UK is 20millibars (mb).

LPG Burners
These burners are designed to be used with propane (at a gas 11mm LPG 80 N/A
pressure of 35mb) or butane (at a gas pressure of 28mb). The
appropriate pressure reduction valve must be fitted to gas cylinders 13mm LPG 144 N/A
or tanks. Typically, the flame temperatures reached (with air inlet fully
open) are rather lower than those achieved when using natural gas, * Values are approximate only
being in the range 850 to 950˚C. Due to the nature of L.P.G. gases,
all L.P.G. burner jets are sealed with a jointing compound to prevent Micro-Burner Dimensions:
leakage. If for any reason a burner jet has to be replaced, a jointing Overall Height 88mm; Chimney OD 9mm; Outlet ID 5.0mm
compound MUST be used.

Timstar offers a range of cellulose filter papers suitable for qualitative use, with Whatman and more economical
unbranded types available. The table below refers to Whatman papers and provides a brief summary of the properties
of different grades. However, many other branded and unbranded types are graded with reference to the equivalent
Whatman grades.
