10.3 ASPECT C- Teaching Observation School-based teaching observation is a vital technique for promoting educators' ongoing professional development. It offers a priceless chance for peer learning and helpful criticism, especially for training teachers. As a beginner, I have observed instructional techniques, student participation, and the general classroom dynamics in my mentor’s classroom observations. Effective teaching strategies, areas for development, and novel ideas can all be found using this technique. My mentor was Puan Um Maisarah binti Asmara who is a 17-year experienced physics teacher. The class I was observing during my ROS were 4 SAINS 1 and 4 SAINS 2. For 4 SAINS 1 consists of 28 students and 4 SAINS 2 consists of 33 students. Both classes are science stream classes. In essence, teaching observation during ROS is giving me a cornerstone for fostering excellence and continuous development in schools, benefiting both students and teachers. 11.0 Conclusion Participating in ROS Week at SAM Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang provided me with a profound understanding of the challenges faced in real-world education. Having previously attended SMKA, I hadn't fully grasped the extent of difficulties in managing student behaviour and school resources. It became apparent that I may have taken my time at SMKA somewhat for granted. Witnessing the sacrifices made by the instructors at SAM Banadar Baru Salak Tinggi, especially during the pandemic, prompted me to inquire about how their students were adapting to online learning. Puan Um Maisarah explained that students with access to smartphones are fortunate enough to engage in virtual classes and receive guidance from their teachers. However, some come from less privileged backgrounds and may not have the same opportunities. Nevertheless, there are also students with parents in the T20 bracket, and they tend to excel academically. Despite their diverse backgrounds, these students consistently exhibit respect towards their peers and readily offer assistance to those in need. 36
