57 1 3 5 2 4 Examine the literature review and prior studies on George Town's environmental concerns in connection with socioeconomic development. Identify key elements of interest to incorporate into questionnaire items. Review and adopt the previous survey items focusing on the selected key elements of interest. Categorize the elements into distinct components, e.g.: i) Ecomobility, ii) Ecotourism, iii) Ecoconsciousness, and iv) Overtourism. Arrange these components systematically, employing a 5-Likert scale format, and formulate 10 items for each category to comprehensively capture respondents' perspectives on these vital aspects of George Town. Integrate a set of 15 items that align with pro-ecological worldviews, drawing inspiration from the New Ecological Paradigm Scale. This expanded questionnaire aims to assess the environmental concern levels within the local community, providing a nuanced understanding of their perspectives and attitudes towards ecological matters. Seek consultation and submit the questionnaire form to experts for validation, ensuring both face and content validity. Conduct a feasibility study to confirm the clarity of survey statements among the target population, thereby ensuring the reliability of the questionnaire. Prioritize ethics during questionnaire implementation. Analyze and report the descriptive and inferential statistical findings. Structure the open-ended responses into brief, comprehensible phrases that can be easily categorized and themed. Highlight key findings and discuss their significance. Identify essential elements to incorporate into survey questions based on key areas of interest. Adopt relevant items from past surveys, focusing on the identified key elements. Organize the elements into specific component, such as i) Ecomobility, ii) Ecotourism, iii) Ecoconsciousness, and iv) Overtourism. Systematically structure these components using a 5-Likert scale format and formulate 10 items for each, ensuring a comprehensive exploration of respondents' viewpoints on crucial aspects of George Town. Integrate a set of 15 items aligned with pro-ecological worldviews, inspired by the New Ecological Paradigm Scale. This enhanced questionnaire aims to gauge tourists' levels of environmental concern, offering a nuanced understanding of their perspectives and attitudes toward ecological issues. Validate the questionnaire by seeking input from experts, ensuring both face and content validity. Conduct a feasibility study to confirm the clarity of survey statements among the target population, ensuring the reliability of the questionnaire. Identify crucial components relevant for inclusion in a comprehensive transportation audit. Evaluate and adapt an existing transportation system audit methodology, emphasizing the integration of the identified key components. Key elements of interest for non-motorized audits using the Healthy Street Index encompass various aspects, such as, e.g.: i) Cycling facilities ii) Pedestrian infrastructure, iii) Safety measures, iv) Accessibility, v) Public spaces, vi) Environmental factors, and vii) Connectivity. These components have been prominently highlighted in the matrices of the Healthy Street Index. A healthy street audit aims to offer insights and recommendations for urban planners, policymakers, and community stakeholders. Its goal is to create streets prioritizing pedestrian and cyclist well-being, enhancing safety, and positively contributing to the overall urban environment. Consult with experts and submit the Healthy Street Audit form for validation, ensuring both face and content validity. Perform a pilot study to confirm the clarity of audit form statements among project team members. Prioritize ethical considerations throughout the implementation of the Healthy Street Audit. The Healthy Street Audit methodically examines data to uncover crucial findings like accessibility issues, safety worries, and what the community prefers. It suggests clear steps for improvement, backed by visuals and comparisons, guiding decisions for leaders and stakeholders. By involving everyone and sharing a detailed report, this audit drives ongoing improvements in how streets are planned and built. Review of Existing Literature. Key Elements of Interest. This ensures that development projects do not compromise the visual integrity of important cultural or historical resources. Our study focused on three locations with iconic tourist attractions and bustling commercial centers, including the famous Bukit Bendera with its unique views of George Town. The others locations are Padang Kota Lama and Clan Jetties. The location of Padang Kota Lama and Clan Jetties was chosen because we wanted to make a comparison in terms of modern and traditional development. These two locations are very suitable for carrying out this study because both locations have different and unique characteristics and designs. Consult with expertise lecturer to ensure that the validation form provided meets the criteria, ensuring the validity of the face and content. Conduct a pre-site visit to get an initial impression and prepare for the actual site visit. The final results for this study show relatively good and clear results. The entire city of George Town can be seen clearly through the bird's eye view of Bukit Bendera.
