About Us

In the year 1969 some philanthropists of the Jain Community living in Delhi and
New Delhi felt that they should establish an institution commemorating the Jain
ideas. Digamber Jain Society for Child Welfare was formed and registered
under the Societies Registration Act at Delhi. Since its inception the society has
undertaken and organized several projects for the welfare of children in Delhi
and other states, besides establishing several public schools. During the
International Children's year 1979, the Society further extended its activities
to other states as well. Taking into consideration the pressing educational needs
in the growing industrial city of Faridabad, the society gave a humble start to
MODERN SCHOOL in a rented building in sector-16A. Its name & fame grew
fast. By 1983 the school came to have its own spacious and imposing building.
With 9 acres campus in the heart of the city, houses one of the premier public
schools of the country, Modern School Faridabad that follows the close
interconnection of the physical, moral and intellectual as its axiom of a sound
system of education.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, the
foremost examining body of the country. It offers a curriculum from grade 6-
12, inclusive of two state/national level exams at the 10th grade and the 12th
grade with 2500 supported by a committed and qualified teaching faculty and
the teacher-student ratio is 1:35. It is partly residential thus extends
opportunities to outstation students as well.

The Management and the Principal of the school believe in leadership and
provide the faculty with an enabling and empowering atmosphere so that they
can create independently acting and thinking global individuals who have big
dreams for their community, country and the world.

persona come true. Hidden behind the success story of Modern School,
Faridabad, are the pains taking efforts of Dr. S.D. Jain, the founder &
chairman of the group of Institutions in NCR and around, a magnanimous
personality, a great philanthropist, educationist and good Samaritan dedicated
to the cause of education.

This temple of learning, cosmopolitan in its outlook and co-educational in
character, aims at producing soldier – scholars by imparting education in
conformity with the high ideas of truth, tolerance, selfless service and devotion.

The school is resolved to provide a holistic growth of child’s personality where
the educational programme is learner oriented and out-put centred. It provides
an environment for physical, mental and psychological development where equal
emphasis is laid on academics, sports and value education. The students are
exposed to life skill education, so as to develop themselves into capable,
confident, self-independent, morally upright individuals fully equipped to face
the multifarious challenges of life and be good citizen of the country.
The school provides a digital language lab to involve students to actively
participate in language learning exercise and get more practice than otherwise
possible in a traditional classroom environment.

discipline, and make sacrifices to meet demands. Behind every extra
ordinary achievement are the extra ordinary efforts. Man cannot succeed
overnight, he cannot reach the top. It is the consistent struggle and untiring
effort that is needed to get success and achieve goal in life. In fact extra
ordinary lies hidden within each soul and it is the environment that
nurtures it.
We, at Modern School, foster all intellectual, social, emotional, physical,
the spiritual and the aesthetical development of students who enhance
their quality of life. The school strives to incorporate in the student’s
effective communicative skills, dedication, sincerity and sense of
responsibility along with a positive attitude and set of values that student
as a person will need throughout his life.

EXPERIENCE OF ISA COORDINATOR

My experience as an ISA Coordinator began in
March 2019. Realising the magnanimous
challenge which awaited us, with nerves of steel
we focussed on achieving our common goal.

Collaborative Curriculum Projects with
Partner schools were an invaluable
learning opportunity as we worked as a
team with a common vision. Through the activities envisaged during the
‘Journey to International School Award’, our students learnt to develop
their core skills and appreciation for cultural diversity. International
Collaboration gave us a useful way of growing professionally to share
their knowledge and teaching. In spite of all the challenges we enjoyed
putting together our mental and physical energies. A peep into the world
at large through internet made us enthusiastic and curious to know and
learn more. Our class activities, assembly programme, field trips,
exhibition, preparation of charts and models, skits and songs gave us the
unforgettable experience which will be cherished by one and all. This has
given our students global trends in education. They were able to compare
and contrast the different cultures, food habits, environment, language,
dances and dresses that prevailed in different countries.

As an ISA Coordinator, I kept my eyes planted on coordinating and
utilizing students and educators. I have been more of a learner than an
educator. My association and interaction with my colleagues and students
during the entire journey has been exuberant and encouraging for me. This
journey was indeed an exhilaration of the diligence and team work of the
students, teachers and academic coordinators under the deft guidance of
Mrs. Neelima Jain, Principal, Modern School. Sincere thanks to all
concerned and the British Council for this wonderful opportunity.

Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.

Modern School, Faridabad, India, Since it has been a
derivation of school and the introduction of
internationalism in the curriculum has helped our
students to rejuvenate their minds towards acceptance
and appreciation of different cultures.

The learners of today’s generation are very active, aware and well aware with a vast
stock of information. Thus it sometime becomes a challenge for the teaching fraternity to
engage them in fruitful way. So we constantly strive to give them hands on experience so
as to tap and challenge their potential to the best of their abilities.

Our school has made a mark for itself in the field of international education with a
number of collaborative learning projects. We partner with schools around the world to
prepare our students to become global citizens so that they have a sense of belonging to
the world community. Our international collaborations enable our students to
communicate and collaborate across cultures.

Students who took part in the programme have greatly improved their language,
research and collaborative skill which will help them to grow as leaders in the global
community.

The ISA program is truly something that builds strong bonds and creates relationships. It
helps the students to connect with the world beyond boundaries.

Successful completion of all activities planner throughout the year has brought
international dimensions to our curriculum. Certainly there were few obstacles, yet the
determination, cooperation, strong faith and excellent team members and a lot of hard
work, we all teachers of the school made it happen in the manner it should be done.
