AIM OF THE ACTIVITY

1.The aim of this activity is to evoke student’s
lateral thinking and infuse in them a sense of
accomplishment.

2. Students will gain understanding of
the blending culture of different activities.

3. It will allow the children to learn about flags,
food and clothes.

4. Encourage the children to apply and
practice the concepts learnt.

5. Boost the confidence of the young learners
which plays a pivotal role in their

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY

 The students will gain information
and knowledge about different flags,
food and dresses of India and countries
of study (Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal,
Dubai and Bahrain)

 They will gather information and
knowledge through research work.

 They will also demonstrate in
relation to flags, food and dresses and
to use this information to encourage
others to unite the world.

 This activity develops a sense of
international brotherhood among
students.

To Promote cultural appreciation by working
our ways across the world students of class I
and II embarked on fantastic cultural activity.
It was an integration and exchange of social
and cultural aspect of people beyond national
boundaries.

The research work held has left the students
truly enlightened. It was a fruitful experience
to develop of sense of harmony and reverence
for other countries.

We were able to create successful links with
foreign schools- Govt. Girls Elementary School,
Pakistan.

This activity has helped the students to evolve
into more responsible global citizens

& more.
Our toddlers learnt about different attires, food, flags of
different countries through PPTs. They are seeing the video
clip and images of different types of food, flag and dresses.

TEACHER’S REPORT

Modern School initiated collaborative
project “Circle Time” activity in the month
of April & June for the classes I & II to
discover about various kinds of food,
dance & flags around the world.
As an initial step, food activities were
conducted in classroom, students studied
about popular food of different countries
and also performed different dance forms
of collaborating country. We displayed a
PPT to the students and they prepared a
scrap book on the basis of this. Students
prepared a collage of flags of different
countries. We partnered with ‘Govt. Girls
Elementary School, Pakistan’ exchanged
activities on different countries. We
exchanged mails with partners about food,
dance and flags of different countries.
It was really helpful in fostering ties with
other countries and their culture.

DESCRIPTION OF THE THEME

In this era of globalisation and shrinking world, the
aim of selecting this theme in the academic session
2019- 20 is to understand the meaning, working and
structure of the Indian and International Banking
System and their currencies.

Under this theme, four activities were conducted
- Powerpoint Presentation on currencies of countries

mentioned.
- Project files on the currencies, their conversion and

their exchange rates
- Group Discussion Activity
- Worksheets

LEARNING OUTCOMES

 The students will understand about difference
between the domestic and International values of
currencies.

 The learners will be able to evaluate and analyse
the currency rates in the international market.

 They will be able to develop a critical thinking and
problem solving skill towards banking system and
currencies.

 They will understand, appreciate and compare
various currencies and their exchange rates

INTERNATIONAL DIMENSIONS

The pace of globalisation has increased for a number of reasons.
The recent rise in social media and new concept of electronic
payment system has virtually made the boundaries irrelevant and
the world today appears to be an extended family. This
necessitates preparing the students as useful and constructive
members of the extended family.

 Under this endeavour the students will know the currency of
countries -Canada, Nepal, Pakistan and Dubai, a step
towards going global.

 The students will acknowledge interdependence and
interconnectedness around the world.

 Learn the importance and procedure of the exchanging
currencies.

 Evaluate & analyse the exchange of different currencies.

Comparative Study

To provide International Dimension to the activity –
Banking System with International Currency, Currencies of
the mentioned countries: India, Canada, Nepal , Pakistan &
Dubai were discussed with the students and they were
asked to have more information regarding the comparison
of the exchange rates in the international market.
