Activity 4 (Holistic Ecological View)

Environmental Awareness is to understand the fragility of environment
and its protection. Moving in this direction, activities related to it were
conducted for classes V and VI in the month of July & August. A detailed
presentation on the importance of nature conservation was made prior to
the conduction of activities.

The theme included plethora of activities such as dustbin making, display
board, poster making, collage making, compost pit followed by PPT
presentation and rally at the end. The purpose was to make the children
aware that environment is fragile and indispensable and we only can begin
fixing the problems that threaten it.

Today world is on the verge of destruction due to environmental
disturbance and the youngsters are the ones who can move step by step
with hands together and do the needful. The enthusiastic children realized
the importance of the activities and participated in it whole heartedly.
They got to know the importance of 3R’s principle of Reuse, Reduce and
Recycle. The project geared up with teacher’s motivational and
encouraging attitude. The activities were both interesting and educational
so children put in their best and came out with flying colours, reflecting
perfection in their projects. The motive to impart knowledge, inspiration
and involvement was accomplished to the fullest. The rally at the end was
a turning point to set those educational goals which should expand beyond
the classroom.
