2nd Sword of Gilead Interior

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Satan deceives us into thinking that he is equal to
God.
Interestingly, when Satan or a demon is in
possession of a person and is engaged in a lengthy
battle with an exorcist over Jane, and this battle
goes on for several hours or days, what happens
to John’s possession unless it temporarily looks
like he is free of any infiltration by an evil entity?
Of course, this could well be the case, but either
way, it shows that neither the Devil nor his
demons can be in two places at the same time in
spite of their speed.
On the other side, angelic speed is to our
benefit and security when God dispatches them to
our aid in a time of need. Dionysius confesses:
"There are many blessed armies of the heavenly
intelligences, surpassing the weak and limited
reckoning of our material numbers." All the people in
the world at any time are a handful, a scattered
gathering easily lost sight of in the myriads of pure
spirits who most perfectly image the Creator of both
men and angels.” It is good to know that these are
all friends ministering on our behalf.
St Thomas says that once created, the
angels live forever, depending, as we do, on the
steady support of the hand of God but on nothing
else. He tells that all the things that pertain to us
because we have bodies have no place in the
angelic world - growth, nourishment, sickness,
pain, the decline of old age, and ultimately death.
151 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

They are so much more like God than we are that
their whole being reflects something of the divine
eternity, immortality, independence.
Angels are neither old or young, sick or
healthy, men or women, infants or ancients, tall or
short, fat or thin; they are the bright flames of life,
unflickering, unfading, indestructible flames that
are fed by nothing but God.
He describes the princely dignity of
Gabriel standing before Our Lady and the easy
competence of Raphael protecting the young
Tobias, the majesty of Michael with his flaming
sword guarding the gates of a lost paradise gives
us some little vision of the nobility of the angels.
We are in danger of blinding ourselves to
that vision if we forget that these were angels
stooping to our limitations, bowing to our
penchant for thinking in pictures; thoughtful
angels who delight in us as a mother delights her
infant by imitating the gurgling and chuckling of
her child. This is not a mother's normal speech;
nor is this angel's normal appearance.

ANGELIC KNOWLEDGE;
WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT’S NOT

I
wonder if the idea of angelic knowledge and
intelligence ever enters our minds when
thinking of angels - do they actually think
considering their knowledge comes directly from
God. The best indicator of angels thinking for
themselves is Satan, a scheming spirit that always
plans our destruction, and looks for ways to
deceive us, but what of the good angels, and what
is their knowledge like.
Again, referring to St Thomas, he explains
that angelic knowledge is everything ours is not;
perfect, accurate, complete, and first hand coming
directly from God. As it would be by a special gift
from God for us, angelic knowledge is not from a
special Gift of the Holy Spirit because their proper
way of knowing is by ideas infused into their
minds by God.
We of course, whilst possessing
intelligence use it to gain and apply knowledge
with great effort and make many mistakes along
the way, the labour of which might make us
happy or sad as we progress. It is never without
153 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

some laborious effort as any university student
can testify. On the other hand, angels have their
full knowledge the moment God creates them. -
At any point in an angel’s eternal existence, where
they use any ideas infused by God there is no
laborious thinking involved. Their unique minds
have a power of thought that is swifter than a
laser beam that by its nature plumbs the very
depth of truth that leaves no room for doubt,
error, or procrastination. Their knowledge is
complete regarding the history of creation and all
things in this world of ours and its accuracy does
not suffer the fading memory that misses details
and precision as does our feeble and fading
memories.
As I think about the “Sword of Gilead” as a
holy angel of God in terms of vengeance, it is
good to know that, as with the other angels, his
ideas and actions also come directly from God
regarding what should happen when he acts on
my behalf should he choose to communicate with
me.
To date, however, he has neither spoken to
me nor revealed what he intends to do when or
before he acts. I guess it must be a faith factor on
my part because I only know by the results that
line up with a recognised disturbance in my heart
and in my spirit as well as situations I know at the
time and have called upon my avenging angel to
deal with.
154 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Often, as I have spoken of previously, I
usually never get know what or who or from
where my problems arise. I just know that
horrible uneasy feeling that something is wrong,
and when I check myself, I can find no reason for
it. If it continues unreasonably, either I release the
angel or that feeling goes away. It is later that I
find out, what, who, and the result. Most times
there is a very subtle indication of what it might
be.
Due to this, I do not need to think out,
worry, or plan anything because the “Sword of
Gilead” does only what is right, just, and perfect
according to God. He is certainly a powerful agent
of God’s justice against the destruction that Satan
or anyone else would bring against me, and that
thought often brings a sigh of relief because I
know that the Sword of Gilead knows as God
knows and God’s knowledge, mercy, and justice
are perfect.

HOW OUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE

ANGELS HELPS TO EXPEL DEMONS

W
e must also ask about angelic
communication with us if they can
communicate, and if so, how, and what
they know about us especially as their knowledge
of creation is beyond our comprehension and we
being part of that, it includes our daily activities.
To this end, St Thomas says that angels know all
there is to know about us “from the post of an
observer who needs no relief, misses nothing, forgets
nothing.” This can seem a bit disconcerting,
especially because the same goes for the evil
angels.
It does not end there because as St Thomas
says, “angels can penetrate our imagination and
memory.” This means that angels can enter into
our imagination and memory in ways that no
person could. We often daydream and reminisce
about the things of the past, especially those fond
memories from long ago. At the same time, some
people might reminisce or fantasize about sexual
encounters or other sins committed.

156 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

None is a private affair as St Thomas
points out, they are shared by the angelic world
no matter the hour, the day, or the place, and yes,
that does include during Mass or any other church
meeting because angels also worship at a
charismatic prayer meeting and follow the liturgy
of the Mass partaking as do we. At times, some
people have the privilege of seeing in the spirit the
myriads of angels partaking in the Mass.
Although embarrassing it is never the less
to our comfort with the holy angels, but what
about the evil ones that by the same means know
also. Well, it shows just how weak our defence is
against the hostile armies of evil that take
advantage of the unintentional help we give them.
Thomas tells us that angels can introduce pictures
to our minds, reach deep into our memories, and
parade them before our eyes. - Although the
angels can introduce pictures into our
imagination, reach into the storehouse of memory,
and parade the past before our mind's eye it is
right there that the great natural powers of the
angelic world grind to a halt before the
impregnable sovereignty of our intellect and our
will. - Even the highest of the angels cannot know
what you are going to do next - the most gifted of
the angels cannot know what I am thinking at this
moment.
In this privacy of soul, says St Thomas, we
are the equals of the angels; this territory is
157 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

inviolable to all but almighty God Himself. Such is
the stature of man's dignity. We are spiritual as
well as physical; we are free; God forbids that any
created force tampers with our intellect and will.
Therefore, our thoughts, our deliberate desires,
and our various loves are our own; for them, we
ourselves must take full credit or full blame.
The angels can suggest through
imagination and memory, they can coax, entice,
threaten, or frighten through these avenues of our
sense-nature, but cannot know what I am thinking
at any one time.
When it comes to expelling demons, this is
good to know. It has given me great security when
dealing with demonised people because the
demon will always throw bad memories of sin to
distract and bring you under condemnation so
that you lose confidence and weaken your
position.
In this case, it is also good to remember
that any sin confessed is a sin forgiven, and so
God does not remember them much less remind
you of them. It is also important to remain
unshaken when faced with evil spirits, and so,
knowing they do not know what you are going to
do next is a great help. This indicates that we
should guard our speech for that will betray us
every time.
In one situation in Mexico City a few years
ago, I had just left the podium after preaching on
158 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

the Baptism of Fire when a possessed person who
had manifest as I began my message earlier
immediately faced me screaming violently. The
deliverance team then took the person into the
anteroom when I began my message so not to
disturb the crowd. Never the less, the demon
continued to scream and shriek all through my
preaching.
After I had finished speaking, I entered the
anteroom and walked past the person who
immediately sat bolt upright throwing off the
heavy men that held them down and hissed at me
with bulging eyes and flapping tongue. Not
wanting the demon to know what I planned as I
discerned the situation, I walked to the other side
of the room and picked up my briefcase making as
if to leave.
My colleague, Patrick, asked what I
intended to do. Not wanting to voice my plan, I
just indicated to him to trust me. He understood
and pretending to prepare my briefcase I removed
a prayer of deliverance that was in my Bible.
As several strong men struggled to hold
the person down, I turned slowly, looked at the
person, who again sat bolt upright throwing at
least four men off as she sat up and glared at me
again with screams, eyes bulging and flickering
tongue. Facing her, I bowed my head and silently
read the prayer.

159 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

At the silent Amen under my breath, she
screamed loudly, shook her head violently, flayed
her arms and legs ferociously, and suddenly
slumped to the ground.
I then walked over and saw that it was not
the old hag as I thought, but a beautiful young
woman. Seeing that she was at peace I quietly left
with Patrick, my ministry colleague.
Later asked by priests what I had done
because they and the team did not understand
how, due to my silence that the demon left. I
explained that evil angels love a display and so
are not impressed with your crucifixes in hand
and do not obey ranting and raving as much as
they do authority, and so I did not need to speak
aloud.
More to the point is the knowledge that
angels, good and evil, can throw thoughts into
your mind. By moving away and pretending to
leave, knowing that the demon could not know
what I was thinking, I deceived the demon into
thinking I was not a player and so prevented it
from throwing things at my mind. Most
importantly, I did not speak out my plan to
Patrick because my speech would have betrayed
my plan to the demon.

GUARDIAN ANGELS
AND THE UNBORN

I
n the hierarchy of heaven, angels have
different roles and functions and are created
for specific tasks. They also have various
levels of authority that include thrones,
dominions, seraphim, cherubim, angels,
archangels, and guardian angels. Col. 1:16, says -
"For he created all things that are in heaven and that
are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones,
dominions, principalities, or powers.
All things were created by Him and for Him.
And He is before all things, and in Him, all things
consist. And He is the head of the body, the church who
is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all
things He may have the pre-eminence.”
Jude 9, says - "But even the archangel
Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about
the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him
for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
God assigns Guardian Angels to children
when they are born and are there to minister to
them throughout their life. Matt. 18; 10 says, "See
that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell
161 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

you that their angels in heaven always see the face of
my Father in heaven." - I have often wondered
about this and then in 1985, the Lord showed me
something that has been an encouragement to
many parents since then. - A woman in my prayer
group at the time had suffered a miscarriage and
so grief-stricken at the loss of her child. It hit me
that whilst there was a funeral for a child that dies
sometime after birth, there was nothing for
miscarriage, and this seemed to be part of that
grief. My heart went out this woman and I felt
helpless in the face of her grief and pain.
While I listened to her grief, my heart
reached out to her and my mind was talking to the
Lord about how sad this was for her when in a
flash, the Lord spoke and I understood in an
instant what he said. “Tell her that every child
conceived is destined to be born and live a full life. If
something, no matter what, prevents that birth and the
child is not born, it does not die - that child returns
alive to me where it remains until that parents can
fulfil their parenthood in my Kingdom and so the same
for the child.”
When I told this woman what Jesus said,
she looked bewildered at first, and then a tear
came to her eyes and then she smiled and gave me
a hug of silent gratitude.
I have shared this many times in my
teachings and seminars and it has helped many
women, especially those that regret having an
162 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

abortion. - This is an area for which we need to be
fully prepared. I believe the day is coming when
those women will regret what they have done,
and so their consciences will drive them along
destructive paths and so we need to be well
prepared to stop them when they fall. I consider
the prayers offered for these innocents have the
angelic world on our side.
However, I also see that the demonic
kingdoms fight with all their strength to continue
this murderous spirit corrupting the minds of
those in power as they offer these blood sacrifices
to Baal even though they do not know him. As for
me, I can only thank God for those praying and
acting to save these children - Their efforts are not
in vain even if it looks that way. - Take courage
from what the Lord told me and let their mothers
know. After all, their embryos do have a Guardian
Angel who will be with them always.

THE NINE CHOIRS AND
THE SWORD OF GILEAD

F
or the sake of brevity in this chapter, I will
list scripture quotes in chapter and verse
otherwise, to quote them in full would
make it too long. Should you wish to open your
Bible and see what they say, this will make a very
interesting and beneficial Bible study for you, and
you will notice that the angels have a prime
position in the Eucharistic Prayers.
1: Seraphim - The highest of the angels in
the nine choirs are the Seraphim. They are the
angels who are attendants or guardians before
God's throne. They praise God, calling, "Holy,
Holy, Holy, is the Lord of Hosts." The only Bible
reference is Isaiah 6:1-7. One of them touched
Isaiah's lips with a live coal from the altar,
cleansing him from sin. Seraphim have six wings,
two cover their faces, two cover their feet, and two
are for flying.
2: Cherubim - The cherubim rank after the
seraphim and are the second highest in the nine
hierarchies or choirs of angels. The Old Testament
does not reveal any evidence that the Jews
164 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

considered them as intercessors or helpers of God
and closely linked in God's glory. They are
manlike in appearance and double-winged and
were guardians of God's glory.
They symbolized then, God's power and
mobility. In the New Testament, they are celestial
attendants in the Apocalypse. Revelations 4-6

describes it thus, “Before the throne, there was a sea of
glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and
around the throne, were four living creatures full of
eyes in front and in back.”
Catholic tradition describes them as angels
who have an intimate knowledge of God and
continually praise Him. We can see that contrary
to popular imagery, the Cherubim are not
overweight babies with tiny wings. The Cherubim
have four faces: one of each a man, an ox, a lion,
and an eagle. They have four conjoined wings
covered with eyes, a lion's body figure, and they
have ox's feet. Cherubim guard the way to the tree
of life in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:24) and the
throne of God (Ezekiel 28:14-16). The cherubim are
in Genesis 3:24; Exodus 25:17-22; 2 Chronicles 3:7-14;
Ezekiel 10:12–14, 28:14-16; 1 Kings 6:23-28; and
Revelation 4:6-8.
The images described here is the best
description I have of what the Sword of Gilead
might look like, and so it is a lot for me to ponder
regarding his mission with me. Considering St
Thomas imagining that Satan could be a fallen
165 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Cherub, it all makes more sense of the Sword of
Gilead as an Avenging Angel. Most especially as the
images of a Man, an Ox, a Lion, and an Eagle
represent the four Gospels that I preach that sets
people free from Satan’s grasp.
3: Thrones - Are the Angels of pure
humility, peace and submission. They reside in
the area of the cosmos where material form begins
to take shape. It is said that the lower choir of
angels need the thrones to access God.
4: Dominions - Are angels of leadership.
They regulate the duties of the angels, making
known the commands of God.
5: Virtues - Are known as the spirits of
motion and control the elements and sometimes
referred to as "the shining ones." They govern all
nature. They have control over seasons, stars,
moon; even the sun is subject to their command.
They are also in charge of miracles and provide
courage, grace, and valour.
6: Powers - Powers are warrior angels
against evil defending the cosmos and humans.
They are known as potentate; the monarch, royal
leader; emperor. They fight against evil spirits
who attempt to wreak chaos through the words
and actions of human beings. The chief is said to
be either Samael or Camael, both angels of
darkness.
7: Archangels - Are generally taken to mean
"chief or leading angel" (Jude 9; 1 Thessalonians 4:16),
166 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

they are the most frequently mentioned
throughout the Bible. They may be of this or other
hierarchies as St. Michael Archangel, who is a
princely Seraph. The Archangels have a unique
role as God's messenger to the people at critical
times in history and salvation (Tobit 12:6, 15; John
5:4; Revelations 12:7-9) as in The Annunciation and
Apocalypse.
The Archangel Michael is described as the
"chief of princes" and as the leader of the forces of
heaven in their triumph over Satan and his
followers. He is the Guardian Angel of Israel and
ours too.
The Archangel Gabriel first appeared in
the Old Testament bringing prophecies to Daniel,
he announced the prophecy of 70 weeks (Daniel
9:21-27). He appeared to Zechariah to announce
the birth of St. John the Baptist (Luke 1:11). In
addition, Gabriel proclaimed the Annunciation of
Mary to be the mother of our Lord and Savior.
(Luke 1:26) The Archangel Raphael first appeared
in the book of Tobit (Tobias) Tobit 3:25, 5:5-28, 6-
12). He announces, "I am the Angel Raphael, one of
the seven who stand before the throne of God." (Tobit
12:15)
8: Principalities In the New Testament
principalities refers to one type of spiritual
(metaphysical) being which are now hostile to God
and human beings. (Rom 8:38; 1 Cor 15:24; Eph
1:21; 3:10; 6:12; Col 1:16; 2:10, 15) Along with the
167 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

principalities are the powers (Rom 8:38; 1 Cor
15:24; Eph 1:21; 1 Pt 3:22; 2 Thes 1:7); and
cosmological powers (1 Cor 15:24; Eph 1:21; 3:10;
Col 2:15); Dominions (Eph 1:21; Col 1:16) and
thrones (Col1:16).
The clarity of the New Testament witness
helps see that these beings were created through
Christ and for Him (Col 1:16). Given their hostility
to God and humans due to sin, Christ's ultimate
rule over them (ibid) expresses the reign of the
Lord over all in the cosmos. This is the Lordship
of Christ, which reveals God's tremendous
salvation in conquering sin and death at the cross,
and now takes place in the Church. (Eph 3:10)
(Principalities are the fallen angels)
9: Angels - These angels are closest to the
material world and to human beings. They deliver
the prayers to God and God's answers and other
messages to humans. Angels have the capacity to
access any and all other Angels at any time. They
are the most caring and social to assist those who
ask for help.

ANGELIC WORSHIP

AND WHAT THEY BELIEVE

ngels worship before the Throne of God
A
and serve Him day and night as we see in
these texts. Psalm 148: 2, “Praise him, all
his angels! Praise him, all the armies of heaven!” Tobit
12:15, “I am Raphael, one of the seven angels who
stand in the glorious presence of the Lord, ready to
serve him.” Hebrews 1:6, “And again, when God
brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all
God's angels worship him."
Revelations 4: 5-8, “From the throne came
flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of
thunder. In front of the throne, seven lighted
torches were burning, which are the seven spirits
of God. Also in front of the throne, there was what
looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
Surrounding the throne on each of its
sides, were four living creatures covered with eyes
in front and behind. The first one looked like a
lion; the second looked like a bull; the third had a
face like a human face, and the fourth looked like
an eagle in flight. Each one of the four living
creatures had six wings and covered with eyes,
169 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

inside and out. Day and night, they never stop
singing: “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God
Almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come.”
The angels celebrate before the Throne of
God every time a sinner repents and turns to God.
Luke 15; 10, “Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner who
repents.” Just think how much Heaven will rejoice
when we really get moving with Evangelisation!
Angels escort Christians to heaven when
they die. Luke 16:22 “The poor man died and was
carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The
rich man also died and was buried.”
The angels record our deeds, both good,
and bad, in a book opened at the final Judgement
as in Mal.3:16, “Then those who feared the Lord spoke
with one another; the Lord heeded and heard them, and
a book of remembrance was written before him of those
who feared the Lord and thought on his name."They
shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my special
possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them
as a man spares his son who serves him. Then once
more you shall distinguish between the righteous and
the wicked, between one who serves God and one who
does not serve him.”
As well as in Rev.20:12, “And I saw the dead,
great and small, standing before the throne, and books
were opened. In addition, another book opened, which is
the book of life, and the dead judged by what was
written in the books, by what they had done.”
170 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Angels have the authority to execute God's
judgement on cities, nations, and people. Eccl. 5:6
says, “Do not let your mouth lead you to sin. And do
not protest to the temple messenger, “My vow was a
mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say
and destroy the work of your hands?”
Ezekiel 9:1-6, “Then I heard him call out in
a loud voice, “Bring near those who are appointed
to execute judgment on the city, each with a
weapon in his hand.” And I saw six men coming
from the direction of the upper gate, which faces
north, each with a deadly weapon in his hand.
With them was a man clothed in linen who had a
writing kit at his side.
They came in and stood beside the bronze
altar. Now the glory of the God of Israel went up
from above the cherubim, where it had been, and
moved to the threshold of the temple. Then the
Lord called to the man clothed in linen that had
the writing kit at his side and said to him, “Go
throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark
on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament
over all the detestable things that are done in it.
As I listened, he said to the others, “Follow
him through the city and kill, without showing
pity or compassion. Slaughter the old men, the
young men and women, the mothers and
children, but do not touch anyone who has the
mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with
the old men who were in front of the temple.”
171 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

2Kings 19:35, “And that night the angel of
the Lord went forth, and slew a hundred and
eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians;
and when men arose early in the morning, behold,
these were all dead bodies.”
Acts 12:23, “Immediately an angel of the
Lord smote him because he did not give God the
glory and he was eaten by worms and died.”
It may be difficult for some believers to
accept that these are angels of the Lord. It may be
especially difficult for those in the current
“Emerging Church Movement” that rejects the
institutional Church, as well the ‘grace-only’
universalist churches who virtually write the Old
Testament off due to their finished work of the
Cross doctrines that consequently removes the
reality of hell.
That is, those who for example, whilst
virtually writing sin and the Old Testament off
due to the finished work of the Cross, postulate
that any institutional church is a false religion of
rules and manmade laws. These people consider
the angels that execute God’s judgment in the Old
Testament to be demonic angels as I have read;
because God so loves he would not do such
things. Never the less, they cannot help but refer
back to the Old Testament at times as well as the
sad reality that not everyone prayed over for
healing gets well as they preach that they should.

172 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Therefore, confronted with the reality that
God’s holy angels execute his judgement as with
Sodom and Gomorrah where Yahweh himself
came to Abraham over their destiny. In addition,
they, as do others, come face to face with God’s
judgement as declared in the New Testament. In
Revelations 9:15, we find angels released to kill,
“Then the four angels who had been made ready
for that hour, day, month, and year were released
to kill a third of humankind.”
In that account, we see the all-important
point I have made in that angels are for a special
time and ministry and this means the Sword of
Gilead in his ministry to me.
It goes on to say in Revelations 9:20, “The
rest of mankind that were not killed by these
plagues still did not repent of the work of their
hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and
idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood -
idols that cannot see or hear or walk.”
All these angels worship the Lord, and
although I cannot explain in depth here, we know
that the New Testament Covenant in the Sacrifice
of the Mass is the completion of the Old
Testament worship fulfilled in Christ, the high
priest of the New Covenant in the Order of
Melchizedech. Clearly, the roles, purpose, nature,
character, and activities of the angels did not end
as we see in the Epistles and Revelation but rather
entered the New Covenant also.
173 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

As much as the angels worship at the
throne can see God, when it comes to matters of
faith, angels bow with us in the humble union and
most especially at Mass. This is not as strange as it
might seem unless you still think that angels are
divine and supernatural rather than creatures.
Because they are creatures, they too need faith as
we do to believe that God shares his divine life
with us.
This is how St Thomas puts it, “That
heaven's welcome waits for those who welcomed
God, that hell's misery confirms the sinner's
choice, that the Son of Mary is also the Son of God,
that the living Christ is present in the Eucharist,
Calvary renewed in the Mass that grace pours into
the soul through the sacraments.
All these the angels know only as we do -
by believing them on the Word of God. Angels are
a part of nature, as we are; their powers are
natural powers. What they have of the
supernatural, whether it be life, truth, action, or
goal, is theirs only through the boundless
generosity of the only supernatural Being, God
Himself.”
The most important point here is that they
can only know all this by believing the Word of
God, that is, the Bible and what it contains. This
only strengthens my position in my calling to
preach the Word and encourage people to know it
for themselves. It also vindicates me regarding the
174 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

accusations that I am a fundamentalist heretic
back when Flame began.
In addition, Flame Ministries International
is a Catholic ministry of the Word and exists for the
same reason because we know that faith comes by
hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17) and that
the only thing that pleases God, is faith (Hebrews
11:16). Adding the fact that Jesus is the Word
made flesh, we are in reality preaching nothing
less than Christ and him crucified for the salvation
of souls and to the glory of God the Father.
In the case of the “Sword of Gilead”, it
amazes me in that he, just as I do, needs faith to
fulfil his ministry, and I like the idea that he goes
to Mass with me. By this means, as an avenging
angel from God, he too executes God’s judgement
on my behalf, and this not as an evil action, but
rather that of Righteousness and Justice.
Because of this process of scriptural
research and discernment, I am greatly reassured
as with growing certainty I can accept that this
angel, never seen by me, is real and, indeed, an
angel of the Lord sent to do His just will on my
behalf. This gives me peace in that I do not need to
retaliate in anger and revenge towards those that
seek to harm or destroy me in various ways, but
rather, to present my case to the Lord, and let him
determine the outcome. “Vengeance is mine. I will
repay says the Lord of hosts” and so leave the rest up
to my Avenging Angel.

ANGELS ARE

MESSENGERS OF GOD

A
ngels are messengers of God to his people
(Zech. 1: 9, 13-14, 19 are good examples).
Luke 1:11-20, says, “Then an angel of the
Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of
the altar of incense. When Zechariah saw him, he
was startled and was gripped with fear. But the
angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah;
your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth
will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.
He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will
rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in
the sight of the Lord.
He is never to take wine or other
fermented drink, and he will be filled with the
Holy Spirit even before he is born. He will bring
back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their
God. And he will go on before the Lord, in the
spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the
parents to their children and the disobedient to
the wisdom of the righteous to make ready a
people prepared for the Lord.”
Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be
176 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well

along in years.” The angel said to him, “I am
Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have
been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good
news. And now you will be silent and not able to
speak until the day this happens because you did
not believe my words, which will come true at
their appointed time.”
The only conversation here is to clarify the
reason for Gabriel’s message. Gabriel is brief and
to the point and no other conversation takes place.
This is so with all of God’s angels unlike the false
and evil ones, for these like to boast and enter
conversations with people out of pride and
curiosity.
Luke. 1:26-38 “In the sixth month of
Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel

to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged
to be married to a man named Joseph, a
descendant of David. The virgin’s name was

Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings,
you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with
you.’
Mary was greatly troubled at his words
and wondered what kind of greeting this might
be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid,
Mary; you have found favour with God. You will
conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to
call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called
the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give
177 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

him the throne of his father David, and he will
reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his
kingdom will never end.”
“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel,
“since I am a virgin?”
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will
come on you, and the power of the Most High will
overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will
[a]
be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your
relative is going to have a child in her old age, and
she who was said to be unable to conceive is in
her sixth month. For no word from God will ever
fail.”
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered.
“May your word to me be fulfilled” - Then the
angel left her.”
This again demonstrates how the
appearances of the angels are usually brief and
formal. - They are to improve our relationship
with the Lord rather than attracting attention to
themselves.
As I have said previously, no angel of God
will accept worship, and this is most important in
discerning true and false angels and angel
worship. Revelation 22: 8-9 “I, John, am the one
who heard and saw these things. And when I had
heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the
feet of the angel who had been showing them to
me. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a
fellow servant with you, with your fellow
178 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

prophets, and with all who keep the words of this
scroll - Worship God!”
Again it is demonstrated how the
appearances of angels are usually brief and formal
as in the case of my mysterious visitor. These
appearances also demonstrate that angels
encourage closeness in our relationship with the
Lord rather than attracting attention to
themselves.
As I have said, no angel of God will accept
worship and this is most important in discerning
true and false angels and angel worship. "I John
am the one who heard and saw these things. And
when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to
worship at the feet of the angel who had been
showing them to me. But he said to me, "Don't do
that! I am a fellow servant with you, with your
fellow prophets, and with all who keep the words
of this scroll - Worship God!" (Revelation 22:8-9).
You might notice the term “Don’t do that! I
am a fellow servant with you” as John knelt to
worship the angel. This was a sharp but loving
rebuke and a correction. Note the term “fellow
servant.” This clearly indicated that the angel did
not see himself more important than John and
demands worship to God. No demon like its
master Satan will ever say such a thing for it
desires worship in place of God.
All of God’s angels know that we will
judge them. Until we enter the fullness of our
179 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

redemption the angels enjoy a superior position to
us, but they will then serve under us as the Bride
of Christ when we become the elite of all God's
creation. 1Corinthians 6:3, “Do you not know that
we will judge angels? How much more matters of
this life?”
Rev. 21: 9-14 indicates our rule and
judging the angels by the wall of the heavenly
Jerusalem bearing the names of the twelve
apostles, “One of the seven angels who had the
seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came
and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride,
the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in
the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and
showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming
down out of heaven from God.
It shone with the glory of God, and its
brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel,
like jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high
wall with twelve gates and with twelve angels at
the gates. On the gates were written the names of
the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates
on the east, three on the north, three on the south
and three on the west. The wall of the city had
twelve foundations, and on them were the names
of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”
The fact that we will judge the angels
demands respect for us from the holy ones, but
ignites an uncontrollable hatred from the evil ones
that we have done nothing to deserve. Even when
180 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

people accept and worship them, they hate them
even more for being so foolish. You can never
befriend a demon.
There are two very important points here,
and the first is Gabriel’s message to Mary that
Jesus is The Son of God is paramount because God
does not change his mind, and yet in Islam, we
find a contrary position. - Not only does Gabriel
spend an enormous amount of time with
Mohammed to write the Quran, but also, and
more importantly he denies that Jesus is The Son
of God and demotes him to a prophet.
Islam means submission to Allah (god) and
revealed to the Prophet Mohammed who lived
from 570 AD to 632 AD in Mecca in modern-day
Saudi Arabia. “Mohammed was called to prophet-
hood when God dictated the Qur'an to him through the
archangel Gabriel.”
Given the evidence about angels so far, we
must wonder how it is that some 600+ years after
Christ, God changes his mind, because God does
not, nor will, change his mind regarding his only
begotten Son, and then demote him as a mere
prophet less than Mohammed a mere sin filled
man.
We need therefore to question the
authenticity that this was in fact, the Archangel
Gabriel. Certainly, judging by what is in the Bible
about God’s will, and Gabriel being the angel
ministering to the Holy Spirit who reveals the
181 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

mind of God, this Islamic Gabriel seems very
different. In addition, the message of Islam is
contrary to Christianity; in fact, its aims are to
eradicate Christianity altogether and that is quite
the opposite of Gabriel’s message to Mary.

THE DEVIL AND HIS
STRONGHOLDS ARE NOT IN HELL

M
any people think the devil is in hell, but
it seems this is not true because if he
were, he would not be causing so much
trouble on the earth nor would he be as a roaring
lion looking for someone to devour. Thinking of
hell this way is like saying it is the Devil’s home
so to speak from where leaves to cause trouble
and where he returns to take a rest and where he
devours those he has trapped. - Hell is the place
preserved; the lake of fire preserved until the final
judgement.
Revelation 19:20, says, “Then the beast was
captured and with him the false prophet who worked
signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who
received the mark of the beast and those who
worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into
the lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
Revelation 20:10, “The devil, who deceived
them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where
the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be
tormented day and night forever and ever.”

183 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Revelation 20:14, “Then Death and Hades
were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
Revelation 20:15, “And anyone not found written in
the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Clearly then, the Devil is not in hell but
here on earth and in the heavenly realms, and so
our battle is not against human forces. In
Ephesians Ch 6:12 it states, “Our battle (Christian)
is not against human forces, but against
principalities and powers, the rulers of this world
of darkness, the evil spirits in regions above.”
Notice in this text, and it is not the only
one that refers to this, it says that ‘our battle is not
against human forces’, that is not where the
battleground is, ‘it is with principalities’ as I have
explained. These are angelic names and ‘the rulers
of this world of darkness, the evil spirits in
regions above,” that is, in heavenly places and so
the hierarchical structure I have explained. Due to
this he is, Prince of the Air, Lord of the Air.
So, in Ephesians 6:12, we can understand
that the devil is not in hell but has a stronghold
and headquarters in the heavens. From there he
rules billions and billions of fallen, rebellious
angels, who assumed the roles of principalities
and powers and their role is to influence the mind
of man and bring them to destruction. They have
delegated areas of authority, divided up over
empires and countries, states, cities, and

184 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

communities and they are affecting individuals
and families in those places.
Given the rise and sickening activities of
Satanic Islamic extremists, our need of God's
angelic powers and angelic warriors are needed
more than ever before. It is my belief in this days
that Christians need to stand up together united in
prayer and the power of their words and using all
the spiritual weapons God has given to overcome
the satanic powers running rampant today. Do
not underestimate the power of God and his
Spiritual Armour given to all for the purpose of
literally tearing down the strongholds of the
enemy.
In 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5, we find the
location of our battleground. - "We do indeed live in
the body but we do not wage war with human
resources. The weapons of our warfare are not merely
human. They possess God's power for the destruction
of strongholds. We demolish sophistries and every
proud pretension that raises itself against the
knowledge of God; we likewise bring every thought into
captivity to make it obedient to Christ."
Verse 5 reveals the "Battleground", which is
the human mind, the soul area of man. It is in the
imagination, the reasoning; in fact, it is all of our
thought life. - Our minds incessantly filled with
countless pieces of information clamouring for our
attention through advertising, media, and various
mind sciences such as techniques of The Silva
185 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Method of Mind Control as taught by Fr, Justin
Belitz. Enneagrams taught by Fr Richard Rohr and
Fr Stephan Truscott in Perth WA, Yoga
meditations, even so-called Christianized versions
taught by John Maine/Dom Freeman, Reikki, and
in general, all forms and expressions of the New
Age Movement Yoga, as we have discovered
earlier, is nothing more than a new name for the
old thing; that is, the Occult - Sorcery.
All these techniques and methodology are
regarding the mind. They are to capture the will
and thereby gain mental acquiesce for the
entrance of demonic influence or even possession
for all forms of evil and destruction be it
individuals, families, or whole nations.
In Zen Buddhism, for example, the
Buddha teaches that all things are Maya that is an
Illusion and propagates a state of mind called
Nirvana, which means blowout; to blow out like a
candle, or nothingness. One could rightly determine
that if you were to follow the way of the Buddha,
then you would end up nowhere. As the 70’s
Beatles’ song said, “He’s a real nowhere man living
in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for
nobody.”
In this New Age philosophy, the message
is; you can do it all yourself if you just tap into the
90% of your mind that you are currently not
using. New Age gurus such as Oprah Winfrey and
her hero guru, Eckhart Tolle teach that you can
186 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

heal yourself; create your own universe and have
power and control over all the aspects of your life,
you can achieve all the power and wealth that you
desire - you can do it yourself if you follow - “The
Secret.”
A careful examination of Tolle’s books
shows them to be distorted natural and spiritual
laws mostly taken from Scripture but presented
with no mention of it or of Jesus Christ. Without
Jesus, the things they offer describe the Tree of the
Knowledge of Good and Evil in Genesis with the
same sales pitch from the serpent, and since
something is a secret, it is, of course, hidden, and
so only for the initiates as Eckhart Tolle unfolds it.
Being secret and therefore, hidden, it is - occult.
Of course, I cannot go into every detail
here, and Eckhart Tolle is not the only mind
science guru, but you will see that God does not
come into this New Age thinking at all. On the
contrary, its target is to convince the mind that
God is not relevant for our ultimate well-being
and that no sin exists except ignorance of these so-
called truths.
These concepts of truth expressed through
these Mind Sciences are widespread, and it is,
unfortunately, convincing Catholics and others to
become disciples of other gospels not taught by
Christ. Our responsibility is to "Liberate" the minds
of others from Satan's influence and bring them to
the obedience of Christ and to put on the mind of
187 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Christ ourselves. To do this we have the full
authority of Christ, the Power of the Holy Spirit,
and the full company of the armies of angels led
by St Michael, the Captain of the Heavenly Hosts.
Never the less, Hell is real and a place of
eternal punishment, and it seems to me that the
only way to prevent people going there is to get
moving with evangelisation. However, if you are
not convinced of your own salvation, then you
will never convince another of theirs.
This means you need to come to your own
personal conversion and then share it with others.
All of us, young and old, fathers, mothers,
teachers, priests, bishops, lay people all, need to
become Spirit-filled and active as the Church
Militant in the New Evangelisation. - The moon
does not shine but reflects the sun at night and so
it is the evidence that the sun still shines. It is like
this with you who reflect the light of God to those
in darkness; when they cannot see him you are the
evidence that God is real.

THE VIRGIN, THE ANGELS,
AND THE SAVIOUR

G
od's Holy Angels are present to help us. It
is comforting to know whom and what
you have working on your side. Angels
and Christians are partners and allies in the
spiritual warfare in which we find ourselves. They
assist us to dislodge Satan from his stronghold in
the world. When Intercessors come together and
prayer prevails it brings powerful angels to aid
and assist us to hinder the workings of Satan
(Hebrews 1:4, Daniel 10:12-13).
However, we must not confuse the works
of the angels with the role of the Holy Spirit. - The
role of the angels and the role of the Holy Spirit
are very different even though they are
companion roles in our lives by assisting us to
build the Church and in establishing the Kingdom
of God where we live.
The difference lies in that the role of the
angels is to administer material affairs. The role of
the Holy Spirit is to reveal the mind of God and to
make Jesus known. Matthew 4:11 shows this
189 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

distinction clearly; Jesus was led by the Spirit,
taught by the Spirit, and filled with the Spirit, but
He was defended and fed by the angels.
Angels are also territorial spirits and
assigned to particular earthly territories. The
Archangel Michael is the Guardian Angel of Israel
(and ours too). The Bible shows us that cities are
under angelic guardianship (Dan. 12:1, Ezek. 9:1,
and Acts.16:9, Acts.10:30). When we read
Revelations Chapters 2 and 3, we can see this
clearly as the Lord addresses the Christian
churches; For example, "To the presiding spirit of
the Church in Ephesus."
The presiding spirit literally means the
angels, and these are the ones in charge of whole
communities and individuals alike. (Matt. 18:10,
Acts 12:15). Most certainly, there is a presiding
spirit - a principality of God over your area too.
However, there is also a demonic principality
battling for the souls of the people in that area, but
as we have understood, these principalities have
no power if we do not feed them, and in any
event, they cannot beat the power of God in Christ
Jesus and his angels.
St Thomas says in conclusion, to his
teachings on angels - "Only God is home for the
love of the angels, just as he is for us. The angels
must make their way home, for love's fire is the
Divine Flame, or there is no warmth." (St Thomas
Aquinas Summa Theologica / Hebrews. 1:7).
190 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

Love’s flame warmed the heart of a young
virgin when the Archangel Gabriel came to
announce the Good News that a saviour was to be
born. The Archangel Gabriel announced every
major proclamation of God. It is not so surprising
that Mary was a little afraid when confronted with
such a glorious being as Gabriel, although her fear
was that of respect rather than that born of a lack
of faith. It was her faith to say yes that brought
about the greatest miracle of God in all of history,
past, present and future and an angel announced
it.
When the time came for the Saviour to
enter into the world, angels appeared to
shepherds and proclaimed the good news of a
Saviour born. The glory of God shone around
them with an angelic multitude of the Heavenly
Host, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the
highest, and peace to those on whom His favour rests"
(Luke.2:9-14). The Shepherds saw that glory on
that first Christmas night and Mary treasured
these things in her heart (Luke 2:19).

THE SWORD OF GILEAD AND ME

I
nasmuch as this knowledge helps me to
discern and accept that the Sword of Gilead is a
real and authentic angel of the Lord assigned
to protect and combat any evil against me, I see
him as symbolic of the holy angels along with the
great army of angelic hosts assigned to protect
you and the Church, - vengeance belongs to God,
and so he not only protects but also punishes on
our behalf. As Saint Paul says, "For it is surely just
on God's part to repay with afflictions those who
are afflicting you." (2Thessolonians 1:6)
We are indeed in days of trials and
sickening persecution with antichrist rising, and
all are signs of the imminent return of Jesus
Christ. The Devil knowing this has stepped up his
attack on the Church because he knows well that
the only power on earth that can overcome and
defeat him, is the Church, and that means you
individually as well as the corporate Body of
Christ - The Church Universal.
The Epistle of Jude was thus addressed to
faithful Christians—“to them that are sanctified

192 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ” (Jude
1:1). Jude’s stated purpose was to encourage his
readers to “earnestly contend for the faith” against
ungodly teachers who had entered the Church
and were promoting immoral behaviour and false
teachings that denied the Lord Jesus Christ (Jude
1:3). Certainly, this is easy to see in our society in
these days whereby sin and immorality are made
legal and in those parishes that preach and
condone spiritualities and relationships contrary
to what the Church teaches and holds dear.
Although it is one of the shortest books in
the New Testament, the Epistle of Jude contains
information that is not found anywhere else in the
Bible. Jude wrote about “angels which kept not their
first estate” (verse 6; see also Abraham 3:26), of a
confrontation between Michael and Lucifer over
the body of Moses (verse 9), and of a prophecy of
Enoch about the Saviour’s Second Coming (verses
14–15; see also Moses 7:65–66).
For this reason, I pray that this book will
go a long way to encourage our bishops to discern
the real nature of the battle and take the need for
diocesan exorcists' seriously, and not only appoint
them but make sure they are trained properly by
those that have experience and knowledge with
the spirit realm.
As much as this is a book of discernment,
to this day, I do not know the Sword of Gilead’s
name and do not need to know even if he has one,
193 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

but I do know what he does and I have witnessed
it. For many years, I thought I had to release him
to act on my behalf, and I have done that while
trusting it to be God’s will. In addition, I am now
more inclined to think that he will act according to
God’s will without depending on me and this
gives me a real sense of peace and protection even
though I will still call upon him if I believe there is
a need to do so.
In addition, God announced all major
proclamations from a mountaintop. The word
proclamation means to publish openly, and that is
my call as a Catholic Evangelist, and Flame’s call
to the New Evangelisation. Because the ministry
of preacher, teacher, and evangelist conferred and
sanctioned by the Roman Catholic Church is a
high calling, it would not be out of place to
consider my ministry as Gilead; Hill of Testimony,
Mount of Witness as though standing in a high
place to proclaim without compromise, and a high
calling to do so.
Moreover, I might look at Flame Ministries
International as the high mountain, inasmuch as it
is the foundation giving support to preach and
evangelise with the full authority of the Roman
Catholic Church, the Rock; Petra.
Like the nature of all God’s angels, the
Sword of Gilead is not a spare angel hanging
around waiting for something to do and so
happened to be sent to me. No, the Sword of Gilead
194 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

created along with Michael, Uriel, Gabriel,
Raphael, Yehudiel, Baraquiel, Sealtiel, Lucifer, and
all the countless trillions of angels of the first light
in Genesis is God’s plan regarding the work and
ministry of the Sword of Gilead for me and my
ministry at this point in history.
He was there at the beginning and saw
Lucifer fall and Michael defeat him. In God’s
presence, he has witnessed Gabriel’s intervention
with Daniel and the battle with the prince of
Persia and Greece with St Michael’s victory. He
has witnessed the angels that fed Jesus in the
desert, and those that ministered to him in
Gethsemane. He saw the announcing of the
Annunciation and the angels at the tomb. He was
there and saw the angels ascending and
descending when Jacob saw the ladder. In fact, he
has seen and witnessed every angelic event in
God’s plan from the very beginning until this day
and even witnesses the Devil and his plans.
His knowledge infused by God, his ability
to move faster than light, to infuse ideas into the
mind and knowing everything that goes on in my
life, he forgets nothing and he needs no sleep. Like
all angels, he can reach into my memory and
parade my past before my eyes. He even knows
my guardian angel, and sometimes I wonder if
they work as a team.
However, he and no angel good or bad can
penetrate the sovereignty of my intellect or will,
195 | P a g e

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

and so neither he nor any angel can know what I
am going to do next nor can he know what I am
thinking at any given moment unless I betray it
with my mouth and this was the situation in
Mexico I spoke of earlier.
Yet this magnificent holy angel of light is
my personal heavenly friend sent by God himself
to take care of any harm from my enemies, and I
often wonder. - Yes, I wonder because the love of
God and the love of his angels cause me to
wonder, or should I more rightly say, causes me to
stand in awe of God’s amazing grace and gift in
the Sword of Gilead my Avenging Angel.
Although not as in-depth as it could be, it
is my prayer as I draw to a close, that the Holy
Spirit enlightens you with regard to this book of
angels, how they think, move, look and act on
your behalf. For in the battle of these dark and evil
times we have big brothers that far outstrip our
puny powers, but brothers and fellow servants
none the less. We are never alone, for these most
awesome creatures are ever working on our
behalf.
By the grace of God, I pray especially that
you now know the difference between those fairy-
like insipid New Age girl angels as well as those
familiar spirits that, posing as angelic messengers,
are really demon angels in disguise and not God’s
holy ones as described here in this book. - The real

196 | P a g e

New Age is Christ, not the dawning of the Age of
Aquarius and we need to know the difference.

I close with Psalm 91 as my special prayer of
angelic protection for you and your family.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my
fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the
fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings, you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels

11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands, they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample
underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will
deliver him; I will set him on high because he has
known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honour him.
16 With long life, I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

And so Father, we ask that you deliver us from all
evil and grant us peace in our day, for yours is the
Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and
forever.
