SERIES 752
The Series 752 Retard Chamber is a surge tank that reduces the possibility of false alarms
due to water supply pressure surges. It has a high-strength, ductile iron body and is designed
for use with our Series 751 Alarm Check Valves. The body is painted inside and outside
for increased corrosion resistance. The retard chamber is UL, FM, and ULC rated for 300
psi/2100 kPa service. The unit has a capacity of approximately one gallon/3.8 liters and
weighs (dry) 18 lbs./8.2 kg. It is available with a 1/2"/21.3 mm NPT inlet and 3/4" NPT outlet.
OPERATION When the clapper of a Victaulic Firelock Valve lifts from the valve seat ring, the inlet to the intermedi-
ate chamber is exposed. This allows the water to enter the intermediate chamber and flow through
the alarm line to the retard chamber’s inlet. As water is flowing into the retard chamber, it is also
draining through the restrictor included in the valve trim. If there is a sustained flow of water, such
as flow from the inspector’s test or an open sprinkler, the water flows into the retard chamber faster
than it drains through the restrictor. This allows the water to activate mechanical and/or electrical
alarms, as applicable. If the flow of water is not greater than the capacity of the retard chamber and
the flow of water from the drain restrictor, the alarms will not be activated.
NOTE: When an electric alarm pressure switch is installed on the retard chamber without a water
motor alarm, the optional Series 752V Retard Vent Kit must be installed.

SERIES 760
The Series 760 FireLock Water Motor Alarm is a mechanical, water-powered device signaling
the flow of water in an automatic sprinkler system. The unit is usually installed on a wall with
the motor inside the building and the gong outside for maximum audibility. A 100 mesh strainer
with ¾" NPT threaded end connection is provided for compliance with NFPA 13 requirements.
Unless otherwise ordered, the wall setup will be furnished. This will fit wall thicknesses from
2 – 13"/51 – 330 mm. If thicker, specify at the time of order. A riser mounting kit is available
that will fit pipe sizes from 2½ – 8"/65 – 200 mm inclusive, in vertical or horizontal position.
The water motor gong and mechanism are made of aluminum, stainless steel and other non
corrosive materials to prevent rust and staining. Red enamel is standard finish for the gong
shell.
NOTE: The VdS/CE Listed water motor alarm is provided with ISO 7-1 threads (BSP) and
maintains the UL/FM Listings.

SERIES 746-LPA
The Victaulic Series 746-LPA Firelock Accelerator is a quick-opening device that can be added
to the:
• Victaulic FireLock NXT™ Series 768 Dry and Series 769 Preaction Valve
in order to speed response time and/or accommodate larger systems.
IMPORTANT: The Series 746-LPA and the Series 746 provide unique functionality and are NOT
interchangeable.
Series 746-LPA Firelock Dry Accelerators are compatible with the Victaulic Series 768,
769 valves and are recommended for system air pressures ranging from 13 psi/90 kPa to
18 psi/124 kPa.
FUNCTIONALITY The Series 746-LPA Firelock Dry Accelerator speeds the operation of the sprinkler’s control valves
by sensing the rapid decay of system pressure and exhausting air from the upper chamber of the
actuating device. It attaches to the air supply’s trim at the inlet of the dry actuator.
System air pressure in the upper and lower chambers sets the dry accelerator in the closed position,
which holds pressure in the air chamber of the actuating device. When a sprinkler opens and system
air pressure releases, the air evacuates from the lower chamber faster than it does from the upper air
chamber. As the air pressure in the lower chamber decreases, the pressure in the upper air chamber
remains relatively higher.
When a 3 – 5 psi/21 – 34 kPa differential occurs, the Series 746-LPA Firelock opens and vents the
lower chamber’s air into the atmosphere. This action also exhausts the air quickly from the actuator,
which causes the sprinkler valve to operate.
The Series 746-LPA Firelock features a unique, built-in check valve that allows rapid pressure equal-
ization of the dry accelerator during system charging, and fast response to variations in system air
pressure.
The Series 746-LPA Firelock is equipped with all required parts, and is easily attached to the
valve trim without additional modification. The Series 746-LPA Firelock Dry Accelerator is rated to
300 psi/2065 kPa working pressure, and is tested and UL Listed/FM Approved for use with all sizes
of Victaulic Series 768, Series 769 Fire Safety Valves.

Air Maintenance Trim Assembly
SERIES 757
The FireLock Air Maintenance Trim Package is designed to control the system air p ressure
when using the Series 756 Dry Valves, Series 758 Actuated Valves, or the FireLock NXT 768
Dry and 769 Actuated Devices for dry sprinkler a pplications.
The Victaulic® Air Maintenance Trim Assembly should be used with a reliable source of
c ontinuous (24 hours/day, 7 days/week) air available, such as shop air or a tank mounted air
compressor with an attached pressure control switch. The high pressure of the supply air is
reduced by the integral regulator in the Air Maintenance Trim Assembly to the recommended
air pressure based on the water supply pressure.
Note: The regulator must be manually set to the recommended air pressure based upon the
guidelines given in the Installation and Maintenance Instructions for pneumatic systems. The
air maintenance assembly will maintain the set air pressure as long as the supply air pressure
is greater then the system air pressure.
COMPONENTS Included in the Air Maintenance Trim Assembly are the following components:
• High quality regulator which maintains the sprinkler piping air pressure
• Strainer – A 100 mesh strainer is used to prevent particles from entering the Air Maintenance
System and the sprinkler system.
• Restrictor – A brass Restrictor is used in the maintenance loop in order to assure that air cannot
enter the sprinkler system faster then air can be discharged through an open head.
• Spring Loaded In-line Check Valve – Bubble tight ball check used to isolate the valve air
m aintenance system from air leaks in the air supply system.
• Fast Fill Line – Used to rapidly restore system air pressure following operation or service.
• Recommend maximum of two systems per air maintenance trim.
• Regulator is a pressure reducing type.

Waterflow Detector
The System Sensor WFD series is compatible
with schedule 10 through 40 steel pipe, sizes
2˝ through 8˝, and can be mounted in a vertical
or horizontal position.

Vane-type waterflow detectors shall be installed on system piping as designated on the drawing and/or as specified herein. Detectors shall mount on any

flow rate, or pipe diameter or no closer than 24˝ from a valve or drain. Detectors shall have a sensitivity in the range of 4 to 10 gallons per minute and a
static pressure rating of 450 psi* for 2˝ – 8˝ pipes. The detector shall respond to waterflow in the specified direction after a preset time delay that is field
adjustable. The delay mechanism shall be a sealed mechanical pneumatic unit with visual indication of actuation. The actuation mechanism shall include
a polyethylene vane inserted through a hole in the pipe and connected by a mechanical linkage to the delay mechanism. Outputs shall consist of dual
SPDT switches (Form C contacts). Two conduit entrances for standard fittings of commonly used electrical conduit shall be provided on the detectors.
A grounding provision is provided. Unless noted, enclosures shall be NEMA 4 listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. All detectors shall be listed by
Underwriters Laboratories Inc. for indoor or outdoor use.

o Sıva, boya ve benzeri işlemlerin bitmesinden
