การออกแบบและการผลิตสิ่งพิมพ์

ภาพที่ 7.34 เครื่องไสสันทากาว ที่มา : http://postnetcapetown.co.zalcopyprint_docs/binding.php 3. การเข้าสันห่วง (Spiral Bindings) การเข้าเล่มในลักษณะการเจาะรูของกระดาษที่พิมพ์ พร้อมกับปก ในการพิมพ์เป็นแผ่นหรือหากมีการพิมพ์แบบหลายหน้า และต้องนำมาตัดเป็นแผ่นแล้วเรียง ซ้อนกันการทำเล่ม การเข้าเล่มแบบสันห่วงต้องตัดให้เรียบเสมอก่อนทำนำมาเจาะเพื่อการเข้าเล่ม เพราะ เมื่อเข้าเล่มแล้วไม่สามารถทำการตัดเจียนได้ลักษณะของรูที่เจาะมีลักษณะตามเครื่องเจาะและชนิดของ ห่วงที่ใช้ในการเข้าเล่ม กระดาษปกเป็นกระดาษชนิดเดียวกับพิมพ์หรือเลือกใช้กระดาษชนิดอื่นหรือวัสดุ อื่นๆ ในการนำมาทำปก การทำเล่มแบบเข้าสันห่วงมีความสะดวกเวลาการเปิดใช้งานความคงทนขึ้นอยู่ กับชนิดของห่วงและวัสดุที่นำมาทำปก ภาพที่ 7.35 สันห่วงหนังสือ ที่มา : http://www.thehertsbookbinder.co.uk/home_1.html 4. การเย็บด้วยด้ายหรือเชือก การเย็บด้วยด้ายในการเย็บหนังสือ โดยการใช้เครื่องเย็บกี่ในการ เย็บต้องทำการพับแบบเป็นกนกแล้วนำแต่ละกนกมาเย็บเรียงซ้อนกันจนครบเล่ม การเย็บแบบนี้จะเย็บ งานที่ต้องการคุณภาพในการใช้งาน และการทำปกส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นปกแข็ง และการเย็บลักษณะนี้สามารถ เย็บด้วยมือได้แต่ก็จะต้องใช้เวลาการผลิตงานที่มีจำนวนไม่มากหรือการเย็บเพื่อรวบรวมวารสารหลายเล่ม เข้าด้วยกัน

ภาพที่ 7.39 การเจาะรูและเย็บด้วยเชือก ที่มา : https://sites.google.com/site/huafar/product-requirements การทำปกหนังสือ สำหรับปกหนังสือมีลักษณะ 2 แบบ คือ ปกอ่อนและปกแข็ง ปกอ่อน คือ หนังสือที่เป็นสิ่งพิมพ์โดยทำการพิมพ์และนำมาเย็บรวมเป็นเล่มและนำติดปกมาเข้า กับตัวเล่มด้วยใช้การเย็บด้วยลวด ด้าย ใช้ห่วงร้อย หรือการไสสันทากาว และมีการนำปกมาเย็บหรือติด กาวเข้าไปกับส่วนของเนื้อหนังสือ และนำไปตัดเจียนให้ได้ขนาด การออกแบบปกหนังสือจะมี องค์ประกอบ เช่น ชื่อของหนังสือ ภาพประกอบ รายละเอียดอื่นๆ ในการพิมพ์ปกหนังสือมีการพิมพ์ ปก หน้าและปกหนังและสันหนังสือ หากเย็บแบบมุ่งหลังคาไม่มีการพิมพ์สันหนังสือ และหากหนังสือมีขนาด ความหนาไม่มากก็ไม่ควรทำการพิมพ์ในส่วนของสันหนังสือ กระดาษในการใช้ทำปกอ่อน ควรเลือกใช้ให้ ความหนาสัมพันธ์กับขนาดความหนารวมทั้งหมดของเล่ม และอายุการใช้งาน ไม่ควรใช้กระดาษหนาเกิน ความจำเป็น ซึ่งจะทำให้เสียค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มทั้งค่าใช้จ่ายในราคาของกระดาษและน้ำหนักในการจัดส่ง แต่ใน การทำปกแบบเข้าเล่มด้วยการเจาะรู้ร้อยห่วงการเลือกใช้กระดาษสามารถเลือกความหนาของกระดาษได้ มากกว่า ปกแข็ง คือ หนังสือที่เป็นสิ่งพิมพ์โดยทำการพิมพ์และนำมาทำการจัดเรียงซ้อนกันตามเลขหน้า และทำการเย็บก่อนไปทำการตัดเจียน การทำปกแข็งทำด้วยกระดาษแข็งและหุ้มด้วยวัสดุต่างๆ เช่น กระดาษ ผ้าแรกซีน หรือวัสดุอื่นๆ ที่สามารถห่อหุ้มกับกระดาษแข็งและนำมายึดติดกับกระดาษแผ่นแรก และแผ่นหลังสุดของเนื้อในหนังสือกับตัวปกหนังสือ
