Wake Up to
Happiness

Set Free Whenever we feel we have no choices, no
options, we feel like a caged bird. We have to
understand that freedom is in our mind. So we
have to let go of whatever we are clinging onto
that makes us feel trapped, like attitudes, beliefs,
perceptions etc. Today let us set our minds free,
spread our wings and fly out of the cage. Doing
so we will probably find that the door was always
open and we were always free. So staying in the
cage or finding freedom in our mind, it's our
choice.

Comparison When we look at the specialties of others, we
sometimes tend to get discouraged. At such times our
own weakness(es) look very prominent and our
specialties remain hidden. Such comparison might not
actually lead to jealousy but subtly continues to have
its influence on us in a negative way. So at all times we
must make sure we are constantly moving forward.
Looking at other’s specialties we need to take
inspiration from them. We need to see what aspect we
can imbibe in ourselves too. When we do this we will
be able to experience constant progress being free from
negativity. The one who takes inspiration from others
keeps moving forward.

Interruptions Interruptions are part of every day life .
Besides boss calling unscheduled meetings
there are other People dropping in , calls on
mobile etc. Interruptions are mostly
distracting and disruptive. We cannot really
stop the interruptions, but maybe, we can
manage them a little better. Maybe we can
politely encourage the interrupter to finish
or, if it's not urgent, schedule to a
convenient time. To curb interruptions at
inconvenient times, maybe connect
regularly with others, so they can update
you or get their questions answered.
Establish a ‘non-interruption time’ when
you really need to get things done.

“In today's time everything about us speaks Opinion
volumes to others. And everyone is going to
have an opinion about us. We cannot stop
people having their opinion. Think if you are
going to let it bother you, be offended, worry
about it, do something to change their
opinion? But what you do with those opinions
is entirely up to you.”

Punctuality To arrive early, or right on time, is a sign of respect for
yourself and others. By being punctual you reduce your
stress levels and avoid causing inconvenience to others. The
key is planning. Allow extra time in your preparations and
for any delays. Remember, getting ready, even locking the
door, catching the lift, walking to the car, the Metro all
takes time. Maybe, the secret to punctuality is as simple as
waking up when you are supposed to wake up..

Relationships Relationships can be a cause of tiredness. One big energy
drainer is wanting others to be as we want them to be.
Instead allow others to be who they are and give them
the right to make decisions and live their lives. Also, do
the same for yourself. Other drainers are when we make
comparisons and find fault in everything. Give yourself
the challenge to find at least one good thing about
everyone you meet today.

WAKE UP TO HAPPINESS
“We are at war with the past because our anger is always Forget the Past
towards something that has already happened and
looking at it we react emotionally which means we are
trying to change it, which is impossible. Any scene that
has taken place a year ago, a month ago or even a
second ago cannot be changed. Somewhere and
sometime in the past, we have picked up and absorbed
the belief that the world and its circumstances should
shape up exactly as we want. If we approach life
complaining about what is missing then we will be
dissatisfied. Remember, No negative scene or situation
of any type in our life lasts forever and sad scene shall
also pass”
WAKE UP TO HAPPINESS
My past should not worry me:

Emotions There are some people who are permanently grumpy
and tight with someone or the other, because of
something or the other. On some days we also feel as if
we are continuously living on the edge and
continuously succumbing to frustration and anger. We
need to pay much more attention to our thoughts and
feelings, learn to manage them, learn to fill them with
peace. Stay full of peace yourself and know that this
peace will reach your loved ones and ultimately the
whole world. .

Prioritize In a world of opportunity and possibility, we really can
do anything. But it is not possible or realistic to do
everything. By attempting to do 'everything' we will end
up overworked, over committed and overwhelmed. So
prioritize your aspirations, and realize that you can do
anything, even nothing but just not ,everything.' When
you push yourself like a machine and you will eventually
run low on energy. Love your mind by allowing it spaces
of silence & it will serve you well.

WAKE UP TO HAPPINESS
We tend to say ‘yes’ when we should be saying ‘no’ Influence
because of the influence of others or the influence our
own personality and losing sight of purpose in life.
Likewise we say ‘no’ when we should be saying ‘yes’
because of laziness and making excuses and lack of time.
When we say yes the qualities within us come to light
because they are needed. When We say no we have to
do it with sweetness, with some explanation, with the
right feeling and honesty. This way we can maintain
good relationships with everyone, and then the other
person will not hesitate to ask us again for help.

Respect Yourself Most of us many a times have the habit to put ourselves
down. From today, try to notice how many times you
put yourself down during the day. This would include
what you think and say or even words spoken by you in
haste. Pay particular attention to how you react to your
mistakes and poor choices. Instead of putting yourself
down, affirm positive messages about yourself. Treat
yourself gently and with respect. You deserve it. Think of
yourself as a child who is learning to walk; you need
encouragement – not criticism.

Consistency When we take up something new, we are determined and
we want to give our best to the end. But often we grow
bored and move on to something new before we have
really given the first option a chance. The more this
happens the harder it is for us to Succeed. Maintain
consistency . When we move along with patience and
accuracy we achieve our goals quickly and easily.

Clarity Mirrors reflect back exactly what is put in front of them.
Their still presence on wall helps us present our best to
the world. Maybe we can be a mirror for others when we
become clear in our thoughts, transparent in our
feelings and still in our presence. And when we
experience the best in ourselves, maybe we can mirror
back the best in others. Can you be a mirror for others
from today? Dear friends, No matter what comes your
way, keep planting good, positive & productive seeds for
Your tomorrows.

Focused We see others being busy and equate this with success
and achievement. In the 'Being Someone Else' syndrome;
We make decisions based on what others are doing. Our
ego kicks in; we want to be seen to be busy as this means
our life is a success. When we are too busy, it is the tasks
that take control of us and not we who control the task.
We can be effective only when we are more focused and
purposeful about what we are doing and not just in
being busy.

WAKE UP TO HAPPINESS
Forget the Past Khush Morning.
Wake up to happiness.
Challenge your fears and take them down with the sense
of "Hope". Hope sees the problems, and at the same
time looks for solutions. In a fight between Fear vs.
Hope, Hope always wins. Hope persists, never leaving
you even for a second. Even when you think there is
nothing left, a little remains – and that is all you need
to hold onto the promise of a better tomorrow.

All of us have many gifts like skills, talents, or knowledge Generosity
which we do not use as much as we could. Just like our
muscles, when we do not use them for long time,
become rigid and waste away, Similarly when we need
those talents we possess and hardly use , we might find
they are no longer there for us to call on. The more
generously we use our talents and knowledge to benefit
others, the more they will be available for us at right
time. Generosity brings success.

Think Positive Life is generally pretty hectic these days; there is a bit
of worry, a bit of stress. Sometimes a bit of stress is
good and even useful as in the short-term it seems to
gets things done, only in the long term it is taking its
toll on our energy, health and emotional well-being.
Treat your mind with respect. If we keep telling our
mind to be quiet, or beating it up, it is without doubt
going to end up feeling stressed out. Understand that
it is the mind’s job to think. So, instead of telling it to
be quiet, give it something meaningful and fulfilling
to think about. All you need to do is create peaceful
thoughts and allow them to turn into a feeling. This
will keep you cool and help you maintain your cool
in any challenging moments. It is when we turn
something into a feeling that we find we cannot
forget it and it is negative feelings that stress us. So,
the best thing is to not turn situations into negative
feelings in the first place.

Think Less When we do not act on something straightaway it
continues to unconsciously occupy our mind because
our natural preference is to complete tasks. The less we
think the more we find energy to do things. Perform
assigned tasks with utmost sincerity and honesty. Roles
must be played meticulously. If we are not flexible in
our roles there will be internal stress and conflict.
Depression happens when we have too much
information in my mind and we don’t put any of it into
our experience. We need to think less and do more.

Misunderstanding When we are misunderstood, it can all be too
consuming and hurtful, especially if the other person
negatively comments on what we said or did not say, did
or did not do .To avoid not being consumed or hurt by
it all, understand the following points (1) being
misunderstood happens, 2) you do not have to engage
with the other person's negativity. Understand that you
can choose not to respond at all or you can clarify
yourself and resolve the misunderstanding. Just move
past being misunderstood and move on.

Ego The greatest enemy of peace is ego. Ego makes us judge
others and think about them in a unkind way. It makes
us force others to do things that we want. In this way we
forget we are a student and that we are here to learn.
Instead of learning if we start giving advice, telling people
what they should do and trying to change them. By
doing so we are forgetting an important lesson in life. "
we can change only ourselves and not others. " Stop
fussing over things you cannot change.

Explanation Through out the day we find ourselves having to explain
many things to many people. In doing so we spend a lot
of words. In the process, we tend to lose a great deal of
energy and become tired. It is not the work but the words
that makes us feel tired. Use fewer words save energy.
Maintain the balance of love and discipline when
explaining things to others.

Finishing Often we are able to accomplish a task better when we
do it in small bits over time. It is when we have too many
bits of unfinished tasks that our mind just starts to go
into overload. So Whenever you can, try to finish what
you start. Finishing tasks leaves you with a joy of
accomplishment and peace of mind. Go on, try it for a
whole day. Finish a task before starting a new one and see
how you feel at the end of the day.

Change There is this old saying - "We can’t change the direction
of the wind, but we can change our sails." This saying has
a profound meaning . It is a reminder that, even though
we cannot change what happens around us, we can
change what we do with what happens. And as the wind is
always changing, we need to stay flexible enough to keep
adapting and adjusting our sails, if we want to keep
moving towards our destination.

You Can When times are tough it's easy to feel a sense of lacking,
isn't it? But the feeling of lacking creates unnecessary
anxiety. Instead, consciously choose to feel abundant.
Feeling abundant not only relieves your anxiety but also
empowers you to be more resourceful and proactive in
how you get through the tough times. If you believe
‘You Can’ & have the strong desire to do so, then despite
setbacks, it is Your Will Power that makes you try, try &

Communicate We should realize that nagging rarely
accomplishes anything & it is really
not good for our relationships. If you
want to communicate without
nagging, Do not be so ready to find
faults in details that are not important.
Do not sweat the small stuff, save your
energy for stuff that matters. Do say
what you need to say, when things
matter, & get your point across,
positively.
