4 AHS TU MESSAGE FROM RECTOR On the occasion of the 27th Foundation Anniversary of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University, I, as a representative of the University Executive Board, do hereby extend our warm congratulations to the executives, lecturers, staff members, students, and alumni of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. Many successes of the Faculty regarding academic performance, research, and social services have been achieved by the cooperative persistent efforts and sacrifices of all involved parties including contribution in COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences has gained both national and international recognition. Over the past years, I have easily perceived the continuous development in many different areas of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, particularly in the areas of learning, research, and social services. Research articles published by the Faculty attained considerable citations as ranked by the university database. Research fund from prestige national funding agencies was achieved in high budget. Many research units had established to conduct high quality research. In terms of innovation, several innovations from staff and students won distinguished prizes from both domestic and international competitions. In addition, student athletes from the Faculty also participated and made great achievements in various sports events. Furthermore, the Faculty has promoted the international exchange of learning, teaching and research abilities by establishing the academic partnerships with local and international educational institutions. This shall include the great quality of graduates in Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral’s degrees in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, Forensic Science, Radiological Technology, Sports and Exercise Sciences, Sports Coaching and Sports Management. Including, a new curriculum, the Master of Arts in Modern Development in Sport was successfully developed in which aimed to commence next semester. Another new curriculum, the Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences has been developing. Moreover, the Faculty has promoted the international exchange of learning, teaching

Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart) Rector of Thammasat University and research abilities by establishing the academic partnerships with local and international educational institutions. Moreover, the Faculty has established a Health Care Service Center (HCSC) comprising Medical Technology Research and Service Unit, Physical Therapy and Hydrotherapy Unit, Sports Science and Sports Rehabilitation Unit and Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory Center which can provide integrated, up-to-date health services at the international standards. In particular during the year of COVID-19 pandemic, the Molecular laboratory was the organization accredited for the real-time RT-PCR for detecting SARS-CoV-2 of the country. Surrogate Neutralization Test, Indirect ELISA test for COVID Immunity Test and Antigen Test Kit (ATK) were commenced for public service. The Health Care Service Center has been accredited complying with ISO 15189:2012 and ISO 15190:2003 and preparing to receive accreditation from Physical Therapy Council. On this occasion, I wish all lecturers, staff, students and alumni continuing success in all of your efforts with great strength to provide high quality education, research, and social services to students and all people and sustained determination to improve continuously the best quality with the outstanding potentials of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
6 AHS TU Dear colleagues and friends, The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University was established in 1996 as one of the faculties in health sciences of Thammasat University. In 2023, our Faculty turned 27 years and has been another challenging but successful year for the faculty. In 2022, there were wide-ranging planned activities which some still be challenged in situation of COVID-19 post pandemic. The situation led us to consider ways of responding to challenges as well as to find opportunities. With our determination, we accomplished much during this year. In terms of academic progress, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences has been one of the most popular faculties with greater number of students enrolled, accounting for 2,307 students in total (2,146 under-graduate students, 161 graduate students). With profound changes in disruptive education and integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the curriculum, several programs such as the Master of Science program in Medical Technology, the Master of Science program in Biomedical Sciences, and the Doctor of Philosophy program in Biomedical Sciences have been updated. A new curriculum, the Master of Arts in Modern Development in Sport was successfully developed in which aimed to commence next semester. Another new curriculum, the Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences has been developing. Onsite and active learning activities have been facilitated with various projects/ programs throughout the year. A number of academic achievement rewards have been given to our staff and students at national and international levels. Our research activities range from frontier basic sciences, research innovation and applied sciences to translational and clinical research in the area of emerging and chronic diseases, aging, health promotion, diagnosis and treatment. Our faculties are also at the forefront of COVID-19 research, particularly in disease diagnosis, biomarkers, and vaccines. We continuously received several research funding from various program managements unit such as National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) , Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization), Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU “B”), Program Management Unit for National Competitiveness Enhancement (PMU “C”), and National Science and Technology development agency, as well as international funding from the Development MESSAGE FROM DEAN

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences had established 8 Thammasat University Research Units, including Physical therapy in respiratory and cardiovascular systems; Medical Technology and Precision Medicine Innovation; Diagnostic Molecular Biology of Chronic Diseases related to Cancer; Antimicrobial Agent and Application; Molecular Pathogenesis and Immunology of Infectious Diseases; Health, physical performance, movement, and quality of life for longevity society; Parasitic Diseases; Developing of Quality Control Materials for Medical Laboratory. To expand our international network, full online conferences were completed including the 2022 joint symposium International Cooperation Network between the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University, Catholic University of Korea and National Defense Medical Center, Taiwan. Our health care service center serves not only a high-standard clinical service for communities, but also a great resource of research and academic activities for our staff and students. As a result of our determination to provide the highest quality of services, our healthcare Service Center has been accredited by the ISO 15189: 2012 and ISO 15190: 2003 which are international standards for quality medical laboratory. Our three units (Medical Technology Research and Service Unit, Physical Therapy and Hydrotherapy Unit, Sport Science and Sports Rehabilitation Unit) have provided services to serve people and community covering aspects of heath care services. In particular during the year of COVID-19 pandemic, our Molecular laboratory was the 7th organization accredited for the real-time RT-PCR for detecting SARS-CoV-2 of the country. Surrogate Neutralization Test, Indirect ELISA test for COVID Immunity Test and Antigen Test Kit (ATK) were commenced for public service. Additionally, a number of academic services including classes for public and professional training programs had been provided during the year. The Holistic Health Hub project was continuing in this year with Health zone (health checkup program), Health share (for other faculties and offices), and Health tools (public knowledge sharing via AHS Thammasat Channel). Over the past 26 years, our story has been filled with pride, achievements contributed from hard work dedication and great collaborations of all members in the faculty, providing a strong foundation for opportunities and initiatives to be happened in the future. We are honoring our former deans, former and present students, staff, alumni, collaborators, and Thammasat University. We are committed to develop our students to be a life-long leaner with strong competence to serve the needs of people and societies. Collaborations across disciplines and departments have given rise to important new faculty initiatives to come, as our vision stated “To be a leading faculty with outstanding research and international network, integrated health sciences for people of all ages, and moving forward with organizational happiness DNA”. To achieve these purposes, AHS faculty values the quality of management and staff members. The management system includes accountability (an assignment of responsibility) and a schedule for activities to be completed, as well as auditing tools to implement corrective actions and creating an upward spiral of continuous improvement; or “Plan, Do, Check, Act”. AHS staff members, including dean, associate dean, assistant dean, director, head of department, head of office, committee, academic and non-academic staff, have their responsibility for suitable levels of duty. Also, AHS faculty gives precedence to well-being and relationship of staff with knowledge and skills enhancement, improving and renovating physical environment and academic research facilities, recreation activity and relaxation area. ANNUAL REPORT 2022, FACULTY OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES, TU 49 Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University (AHSTU) perform a quality assurance system to control, audit and assess the educational quality in line with the National Education Act 1999 (2nd amendment in 2002) and Thammasat University’s vision and mission. For the internal quality assurance system, the AHSTU QA committee is responsible for development, administration, and follow-up of the operations. For the academic year 2021, the Internal Quality Assessment system performance in 2 levels which are curriculum level and institutional level. To achieve the continuous quality improvement process, AHSTU conducted an organization profile and key performance indicators base on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) and Thammasat University Quality Assurance (TUQA) criteria for institutional level and conducted Self-Assessment Report base on key performance indicators set by the office of Commission on Higher Education (OHEC) Thailand for are curriculum level. Institutional level AHSTU has continuous improvement base on the quality assurance framework of EdPEx. We organized various projects and activities to achieve our vision and goals. For academic year 2021, the Thammasat University-Education Criteria for Performance Excellence Project: TU-EdPEx200 has been applied in organizational quality development targeting to improve the qualities towards excellence. TU-EdPEx assessment team online-visited faculty of Allied Health Sciences, TU on 8 September 2022, by Ajarn Siriluck kiewkong, Asst. Prof. Dr. Soisuda Kasornthong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rathapon Asasutjarit and team. According to the feedback report, the EdPEx200 assessment committee has overall recommendations to the faculty to lead the management to achieve success under the vision, mission, as well as the work system that is the main factor of the work to be achieved. Leading to the development of our work systems in the academic year 2022. TU-EdPEx assessment committee has gave the assessment result as shown briefly in table 1 In 2022, we joined the TU-EdPEx200 Grooming Project and was advised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chernchok Soankwan to prepare for the 10th EdPEx200 of 2021 project submission. Also, we organized a training project to enhance knowledge and understanding in educational quality assurance for the EdPEx on the topic “Self-development for the success of the organization” by Asst. Prof. Chaiwat Wongasa, an expert in teamwork development, on 28September 2020. ACADEMIC QUALITY DEVELOPMENT

Emphasis on public participation to encour aging teamwork and Integration. AHSTU began a systematic strategic planning process. The action plans were implemented and improved by KPIs monitoring compare to target value for continuous improvement The leader of AHSTU pay more attention to human development. Focusing on promoting both academic and support personnel to develop their ability to work and create an atmosphere that encourages personnel to have good performance.
