The concept of the governance systems, right from the federal to state and state to counties,
cities, districts and legislative processes, their portfolios and collaborations

Has your understanding of the ways in which civil society can alter
legislation and governance change at all? If yes, please explain.

Yes I think civil society is working effectively in US and than they are identifying the issues of
community and bringing those in front of the public sector and getting the issues resolved and
I also observed the good practice of public private partnership during my fellowship

What changes do you think we could make to improve this program?

Not really but I think there should be a ice breaking session of the fellows here in DC before
sending them to the placements so they can be a good team right after starting as once the
teams are sent to the fellowship areas than they need one or today's more to gel up as team.

a result of the program?

The idea of civil society engagement by the local government, the education systems from pre
kindergartner, approach of team, health coverage, communication skills, ideas of activism from
the fellows and off course the idea of volunteerism

No, everything was full covered

Evaluation

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to ll out this survey. We hope you enjoyed your time in the US. Your feedback on
your overall program experience is important to us and the program.

What overall comments do you have about the exchange program?

The overall experience was very productive and fruitful. My placement institute and mentor
helped me to learn new things. The overall experience was full of exposure.

What comments do you have about the overall program quality?

The quality was very good. I was placed in DC and i think its the best place to observe and
experience American system and values. I think that i made use of the provided opportunity. I
just feel that the program could have been a bit more planed or scheduled for DC fellows as it
was for the fellows in Columbus, Tulsa and Cleveland however the programe is very interesting
and productive.

The support from world learning was at it fullest in all situation. Right from coordination to

Now i am in a better position to compare the system of US and Pakistan. It has been a
wonderful experience in US and observing its people and values.

The civil society can play a very important role and it has been playing before as well. It can be
done by the collaboration with other institutions for better policy making.

just a bit more planned or directed for fellows. If you could tell the placement to participants
few days ago rather just 2 days. Everything else is best!

My skills or writing joined with new ideas to end corruption etc.

Not exactly. I learned all the things that i expected.

Is there anything you did not learn in the pre-departure orientation that you
wish you had?

Do you think there is value in continued exchange programs for India and
Pakistan?

Yes and i think its very important. The utility of keeping in touch Indian and Pakistanis is very
useful. Pak and India are neighboring countries and the positive contact between its people is
very important to share the culture and soft mirror images.
