I’m ecstatic with how much I achieved. Exchange has impacted me greatly, as I have become a
lot more open to new things and a world bigger than just my comfort zone. Being away from
home, on the other side of the world, has impacted me in ways that will stick with me for life

What new ideas and/or skills do you think you will use in your community as
a result of the program?

My goal is to use the knowledge I am acquiring in order to give back, to do something
meaningful to the world .All that I have done so far makes me feel very proud of myself. I’d like
to make a difference considering myself being a part of a sustainable, community impacting
program I am excited to make a long-lasting impact that will bene t the community.
I have big plans for what I would like to accomplish, a few of which include opening of 1ST
base camp for entrepreneurs believing that economic development is the key for sustainable
growth .I will work on initiation of civil society networks, events and programs to share
information about how to ght against sexual harassment, domestic violence as I am a big
advocate of woman rights.
I also believe everything is connected: we are all one. Therefore, if I can help others, even if
with a small act, I will be doing it for the entire world. I do not expect it to be easy; I just want it
to be worth it.

technical workshops on governance and legislation , civil society role in global policy making
,public speaking session .

wish you had?

The design of fellowship though i know its not an easy task .

My placement assisted me in exploring US legislative processes and governance at local, state
and federal levels. I was placed with the Cleveland City Council and I also visited Columbus to
gain insights into the legislative process at state level.

I witnessed active participation of civil society during my fellowship at City Council. It
explained how important civil society is in shaping laws and policies.

I have experienced and learned more than I had expected.

wish you had?

None

Do you think there is value in continued exchange programs for India and
Pakistan?

Yes. My only suggestion at this point is to incorporate 'openness' as part of the selection
process. I would have liked to have discussions with some participants, but they were not
interested in any such interaction and missed out on the opportunity of breaking pre-conceived
notions.

experiential learning is what has been designed for us in this fellowship. i am interested to
make some suggestions in this regard.
1. There may be a small project with the host organisation during placement including a
publication and a seminar.
2. facebook page/ group of all fellows who are joining the Professional Congress may be
created before the commencement of program, so that they may be intouch with each other
and get motivated with each other activeties.
3. there must be more sessions of pitch and oppertunities may be provided to the fellows to
practically. demonstrate those skills.

What changes do you think we could make to improve this program?

its a very well designed program and producing excellent results. however continuance
evaluation and improvements can produce more results.
1. during placements accomplishment of atleast one short term objective for every fellow may
be declared imparative.
2. placement of right person at right place.
3. in professional congress areas where government and civil society can jointly produce better
results may also be hhighlighted.
4. atleast one Noble lauriate may also be invited in the Congress.
5. more guidance may be provided with regard to development of a realistic project.
