What are the various assessment strategies adopted by you in the regular classroom
teaching which indicate the impact of ICT use? Attach samples of your work related to ICT
integration.

Ans: Assessments are critical to the process of education as they help to identify students' strengths and
weaknesses and the gaps they may have in their learning/skills and to review and monitor teaching and
learning strategies and processes. The strategy in which I believe is that the assessment process should be
continuous not quarterly. We should adopt various tools for assessment like quizzes, MCQ’s, crossword
puzzles, case studies and more. The learner should enjoy the assessment process for which I have used
Microsoft Forms and Kahoot. An assignment is another way to check their understanding, so I have
Exam.net. Continuous feedback is important for both teachers and students, so I have used ClassPoint.
Audio-video tool flip grid is also used to create small videos for their project work. Use of ICT tools in
assessment gives an edge that we can get the result instantly through which we can analyse the result and
can assess the learning gaps. Extensive Project work, Daily Anecdotal record (Digital logbook), a fully
formative structure. Quizzes, Kahoot, Microsoft forms were used extensively for Formative and Summative
Assessment of the students. Open Textbook Assessment (OTBA) has been adopted as one of the tools for
assessing the students as the students must be able to think critically, to analyse and to make inferences.

UNESCO (2009) has rightly stated that the demand for higher education cannot be met in the developed
and developing world without distance or virtual modes of learning which is facilitated by Information and
Communication Technologies (ICT). The impact of ICT on trainers, learners, researchers and the entire
learned society is tremendous. It is changing the contours of the education delivery system in the world by
enhancing access to information for all. It also ensures effective and inclusive e
Modern ICT tools not only deliver the content but also replicate formal learning experience via virtual
learning. The intention of virtual classrooms is to extend the structure and services that accompany formal
education programs from the campus to learners. ICT also addresses the need of mobile learning. It offers

independent space and flexibility that comes from working away from the learning institute or tutor. It
makes education accessible to all, irrespective of geographical barriers or

What has been the overall impact of your use of ICT in Teaching – Learning
Process? What has been your contribution to the school with respect to ICT
integration?

Ans: The overall impact of my use of ICT in Teaching learning process has improved its effectiveness. It has
changed the contours of education system by enhancing access to information which is ensuring
effectiveness and inclusivity. The learning has become self-paced. I have been able to cross the
geographical barriers by connecting to teachers and students across the world. In NEP 2020 technology
word is used 67 times it means we must do a lot in this field. We as a school have made marked
improvement in the hardware and software development.
Augmented Reality
has a future in education very rightly, demonstrated in NCERT e-Pathshala App. I have extensively used it in
the classroom.
How to use NCERT e-Pathshala AR App in Classroom - https://youtu.be/04-yd7s3LDM
Explanation Video Link on Chapter – 12 Sound NCERT, Class-9 : https://youtu.be/sEA7hnhxzoE
Student can access the internet at any time to explore things. As we have given them access to the internet,
thus security was also concerned, so we have implemented Sophos Firewall which is the best in the world.
We are a Wi-Fi enabled campus with world number 1 access point i.e., Aruba.
I also made a paper presentation titled -USING CONTENT CREATION AS A PEDAGOGY TO ADDRESS
PANDEMIC ACADEMIC CHALLENGE-DOCUMENTARY CREATION ON DIFFERENT STATES OF INDIA. This
analysed the overall impact of ICT in Teaching-Learning Process. The positive results of the research also
mobilised the use of ICT in making projects and giving experiential learning to the students.
The students are creating videos on Software Movie Maker and Adobe Creative Express.
After COVID-2019 we did not waste a single day to implement online classes, we immediately started online
classes on MS teams. I have facilitated the training of the complete staff and students to understand this
process. Workshops like Movie making, animation, industry expert talks have been arranged by me and
workshops of cyber ethics have been conducted by me for students.
I have used the NCERT e Pathshala app to demonstrate the various concepts of Physics using Augmented
Reality.

Although this has already been initiated by NCERT, yet I see a lot of potential in this field which can be
harnessed and used for better concept building. In this age of digitalisation, the mobile phones have become
a part of existence in all urban, some urban and a few rural areas as well. A technology and initiative like this
can change the face of education forever.
Certification - MIEE (MICROSOFT INNOVATIVE EXPERT EDUCATOR).

Digital Documentaries

I have got 25 documentaries prepared from the students of Upper Primary classes. Apart from celebrating
the culture, heritage, cuisines of 15 states of India and lives of 4 visionaries of our country- Nehru, Patel,
Gandhi and Shastri, the high point of the documentaries are the research done by the students on the history
and evolution of 4 languages: Malayalam, Punjabi, Sanskrit and Hindi. The students learnt the alphabets,
made small sentences and even learnt the songs in the same language.

Workshops for Parents and Students : Its important to have parenting workshops to
maintain a healthy, positive, and happy relationship between parents, children, and
teachers. Similarly, students of various categories require guidance and counselling
at various levels in different forms in order to ensure their holistic development.
Following are the list of Parent and Student workshops conducted under my guidance
either by myself, guidance counsellors, or by industry experts.
TOPIC- CYBER SAFETY
Date: 31-5-22
Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master. Hence it is important to utilize
the available resources mindfully. Looking at the increasing number of cyber safety
issues, The Vice Principal, Ms. Ritika Anand and Senior Guidance Counselor, Ms. M
Kapoor addressed the issue and shared the necessary details about school cyber
laws. They quoted the examples and answered the queries raised by students. Ms.
Ritika Anand apprised students with acceptable and unacceptable online behaviors
and talked in detail about “netiquettes”.

St. Mark's Sr. Sec. School organized a webinar for classes 10th, 11th and 12th on
"FOSTERING AN ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT AT A YOUNG AGE". The webinar

was graced by two young entrepreneurs to feed to the curiosity of our students about
how to start their own small business, emerging business ideas, skills required,
introduction to E commerce and digital marketing.

The first guest speaker was Ms. Karina Bhatia, a jewelery designer specialised in
CAD/CAM software, with an experience of around 18 years in the industry who shared
her journey in the field which was inspired the students to learn some new skills. The
second guest speaker was Ms. Neeti Magu, who by profession is a software engineer
but her passion towards marketing and E Commerce lead her to start her own brand
of customised masks - Mukhota during the covid times.

The conversation with these young professionals was indeed enriching and inspiring
for all the students.

On the occasion of International Parental Involvement month, a webinar was
conducted for the Parents on the topic “Overcoming Parental Stress” by the school
counsellors, Ms. M Kapoor and Ms. A Malhotra. The session helped the parents to
acknowledge their source of stress and their response to the same. The session was
very interactive and parents posed various questions on how to overcome their
frustration, how to deal with the child’s tantrums, how to discipline the child, etc. By
the end of the session, the parents gathered insight around some tips and strategies
to overcome the stress, work on themselves and stay happy and healthy for better
parenting.

St. Mark’s organised webinar for parents of classes 6-12 on Parenting: a growth
perspective and parenting during pandemic (understanding psychosocial
issues in adolescents). The sessions aimed at providing information to parents on
characteristics of adolescent years, psychosocial issues, strategies to develop
healthy relationship with the adolescent. Parents were also introduced to a term
“watchful freedom” and how to practice that in an ever changing digital world.
It was an interactive session wherein parents asked their queries which were
answered by senior guidance counsellor and Respected Principal ma’am and Vice
Principal ma’am.

A weekend career guidance workshop was conducted by St. Mark's Sr. Sec.
School, Meera Bagh on the 27th and 28th of August 2021.
The workshop organized by St. Mark's, attended by St. Markians and facilitated by
ex-St. Markians, was indeed memorable.
Our Alumni Dr. Rohit Batra (MD, consultant dermatologist and lazer surgeon), Lt. Col.
Ankur Sabharwal (Lieutenant Colonel and trains officers for armed forces), Ms. Pallavi
Mehta (Lawyer and now a screenwriter of some of the famous TV shows - Kulfi Kumar
Bajewala, Hero and Choti Sardarni ) and Ms. Nimrat Kaur Ahluwalia (Lawyer and now
an actor in the popular TV show- Choti Sardarni) came up on this common platform
to guide our students, make them aware of various aspects of the profession, how to
prepare for it as well as help them identify their areas of interest.
It was a weekend full of nostalgia and great learning!
