cooperative/ collaborative learning, investigation, experimentation,
development of higher order thinking skills?
Ans: -I have been organising an Inter school Science and Maths festival QUEST and Geek a Hertz in

tools to write research papers, novel experimental techniques, Quizzes and more.
My students are a part of Global Virtual Classroom Network where they have collaborated with many
international schools and have created websites like Our website GVC 2110 “Wildlife Safari” received
a Silver Award in Senior category. Our website GVC 2102 “Oceans” received Gold Award in junior

How has ICT helped you in your own professional growth? Describe how
it has helped you improve as a teacher.
Ans: I am a strong believer in the power of ICT and if I have learnt a lot and grown, thanks to ICT, I have made
sure that it helps my school and my students too. ICT has not been something new for me. I have been using
ICT to connect with schools all across the globe ever since 2001. I was the first INTEL MASTER TRAINER of my
school training teachers on basic computer skills and there has been no looking back. I have been doing a lot
of cooperative/collaborative learning for years, investigating and experimenting in the process. My projects
under the aegis of GVC are the best examples of using ICT for collaborative learning. ICT has given me a new
lease of life by being a part of PM e-Vidya, Swayam Prabha, NIOS and been able to connect with students
across Pan India. ICT also enabled me to connect with teachers all across the globe. I have conducted many
workshops and shared my best practices with them.
As a Physics teacher I have used ICT widely to assimilate simulations, mind maps, online quizzes,
assignments, etc. to make the teaching learning more emphatic.
