This season began with big promises from the boys that
they had put together a strong team and were likely to go
far. They did not disappoint! PNBHS Magic won every single
game they played, with one game even finishing with an
impressive score of 91-27. A highlight of the season was

student had something to give and the dedication they
showed was impressive.The most notable aspect of the team
was how unselfish they were. All boys were willing to pass

The fact that Magic won the Year 11-13 championship is a
testament to how well they worked together as a team. Now,

2019 Winning Basketball Captains. The Premier A team
(captain Kopere Tanoa) won the Premier Boys grade, the
Thunder (captain Seth Te Hore-Gardiner) won the Y11-13 A
Grade P2 competition, the Magic (captain Cody Borlase) won
the Y11-13 B Grade P1 competition and Otangaki (captain
Kalem Tanoa) won the Junior Premier Boys grade. Jordan
Herewini, captain of the Junior B team, was presented with
the trophy the team won at the regional tournament earlier
in Term III.
