Outstanding Achievements of Pride

The OET KPS has continuously developed its operations through well accepted
and integrated creation of links and networks among many different departments. Its
works, that are generally accepted, are such as the Farmer's Children School Project, the
Agricultural Extension collaboratively conducted with the Agricultural Extension
Association of Thailand, the Vocational Training Program for People, the Youth Promotion
and Development Project, those collaborative projects between the Public and Private
Sectors, and other International Training Programs, etc.

Thus, it has created a large number of benefits for communities, society and
the nation in terms of helping career development, improvement of the quality of life
and strengthening the community continuously and sustainably so that it can have
received the award for "the National Outstanding Organization for Social
Development for 2011" from The National Identity Office, Office of the Permanent
Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office.

พัฒนำกำรและควำมเปน็ มำ
สำนกั หอสมดุ กำแพงแสน เดมิ เปน็ หน่วยงำนทส่ี ังกัดสำนกั หอสมดุ มหำวทิ ยำลยั เกษตรศำสตร์

เม่ือเริ่มเปิดบริกำรใช้ชื่อว่ำ “ห้องสมุด วิทยำเขตกำแพงแสน” สังกัดงำนห้องสมุดสำขำ เปิดบริกำร
พร้อมกับกำรเริ่มกำรเรียนกำรสอนของวิทยำเขตกำแพงแสน เมื่อวันท่ี 12 พฤศจิกำยน พ.ศ. 2522
(ในขณะน้ัน ผศ.ดรุณำ สมบูรณกุล ดำรงตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยกำร) เพื่อเป็นแหล่งข้อมูลทำงวิชำกำรและ
สนับสนุนกำรเรียนกำรสอนแก่นิสิต อำจำรย์ นักวิชำกำร บุคลำกรของมหำวิทยำลัยเกษตรศำสตร์
รวมถึงหน่วยงำนภำยนอก และบุคคลทั่วไปอีกด้วย ต่อมำเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2537 ได้ยกระดับเป็นฝ่ำย
หอสมุดกลำง กำแพงแสน

อำคำรหอสมุดหลังแรกก่อสร้ำงโดยใช้เงินกู้ธนำคำรโลก ใช้เวลำก่อสร้ำง 1 ปี มีพื้นที่ใช้สอย
2,739.92 ตำรำงเมตร เอกสำรส่ิงพิมพ์ของห้องสมุดเน้นด้ำนกำรเกษตรและสำขำที่เก่ียวข้องจัดซื้อด้วย
เงินกู้ธนำคำรโลก ในระยะแรกมีหนังสือประมำณ 7,000 เล่ม วำรสำรประมำณ 300 รำยกำร พิจำรณำ
คัดเลือกโดย ผศ.ดรุณำ สมบรู ณกุล และ Mr. R. J. Blanchard ซ่ึงเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชำญและเป็นผู้อำนวยกำร
ของหอสมุดมหำวิทยำลัยแคลิฟอร์เนีย เมืองเดวิส นอกจำกนี้ยังได้แบ่งสิ่งพิมพ์ส่วนหน่ึงมำจำก
สำนักหอสมดุ บำงเขนด้วย

เม่ือเร่ิมเปิดบริกำรมีบุคลำกร 6 คน ประกอบด้วยบรรณำรักษ์ 2 คน เจ้ำหน้ำท่ี 2 คน (ยืมตัว
จำกคณะวิศวกรรมศำสตร์ 1 คน) นักกำรภำรโรง 2 คน และนิสิตช่วยงำนห้องสมุด 5 คน มีท่ีน่ังอ่ำน
หนังสือประมำณ 500 ที่นัง่ ใหบ้ ริกำรผใู้ ชป้ ระมำณวนั ละ 400 คน เปิดบรกิ ำรถงึ เวลำ 19.30 น.

อำคำรหอสมุดกลำง หลังท่ี 2 ก่อสร้ำงระหว่ำงปี
2540 - 2542 มีพื้นที่ใช้สอย 6,820 ตำรำงเมตร เชื่อมต่อกับ
อำคำรเดิม มีที่น่ัง 1,400 ท่ีน่ัง สำมำรถรองรับกำรเพิ่ม
จำนวนส่ิงพิมพ์ได้ 200,000 เล่ม โสตทัศนวัสดุ และวัสดุ
อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ประมำณ 20,000 รำยกำร มีห้องประชุม

ในปี พ.ศ. 2540 สำนักหอสมุด กำแพงแสน เริ่มปรับเปล่ียนเป็นห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ โดยใช้
ระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติร่วมกับสำนักหอสมุด บำงเขน ห้องสมุดคณะและวิทยำเขต รวมท้ังห้องสมุด
มหำวิทยำลยั อ่ืนๆ ใช้ระบบห้องสมุดอตั โนมตั ิในกำรยมื – คนื สิ่งพมิ พ์ มีแหลง่ กำรเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง เช่น
ส่ือ – โสตมัลติมีเดีย หอ้ งปฏบิ ัติกำรภำษำ ห้องฝึกอบรมคอมพิวเตอร์ และอินเทอรเ์ นต็
ต่อมำเมื่อวันที่ 25 กุมภำพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2548 ได้จัดตั้ง สำนักหอสมุด กำแพงแสน โดย
ประกอบด้วยฝ่ำยต่ำงๆ จำนวน 4 ฝ่ำย คือ ฝ่ำยบริหำรและธุรกำร ฝ่ำยพัฒนำและจัดกำรทรัพยำกร
สำรสนเทศ ฝำ่ ยบรกิ ำร ฝำ่ ยเทคโนโลยีสำรสนเทศและส่อื กำรศกึ ษำ
ปี พ.ศ. 2551 เข้ำร่วมเป็นสมำชิกข่ำยงำนห้องสมุดมหำวิทยำลัยส่วนภูมิภำค (Provincial
University Library Network: PULINET) และเป็นสมำชิกข่ำยงำนน้ีจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยมี 20 สถำบัน

Historical Development
Office of the University Library at Kamphaeng Saen Campus (OUL KPS) which

was then named Kamphaeng Saen Campus Library and still under the Kasetsart
University Library (or Bangkhen Central Library administered by Assist. Prof. Daruna
Somboonkul, the Director) started to provide services along with KU KPS teaching mission
on 12 November, 1979. The main purpose was to provide academic and library resources
for KU KPS students, faculty members, researchers and general people. Later in 1994, it
was restructured as Kamphaeng Saen Central Library.

Its first library building was constructed in one year with the area of 2,739.12
square meters under the World Bank Loan. At that time, there were about 7,000 books
and 300 journals related to agriculture. Some of which had been selected by Assist. Prof.
Daruna Somboonkul the Director and Mr. B. J. Blanchard- who was a professor and library
director at The University of California at Davis. By the way, a part of resources was
divided from Bangkhen Central Library.

At the beginning in those days, OUL KPS provided its services with two librarians,
two staffs (one of whom was lent from Engineering Faculty), two janitors and two student
assistants with 500 book-reading seats that could provide the reading service for 400
students per day and was closed at 7:30 p.m.

The second library building which has been constructed during 1997 – 1999 and
connected with the first library building is the Central Library Building with the area of
6,820 square meters for 1,400 seats for book reading. It also contains 200,000
publications, 20,000 audiovisuals or electronic materials and conference room for library
activities.

In 1997, OUL KPS became an automatic library by sharing the automatic library
system with Bang Khen Central Library, faculty library, campus library including other
university library. The automatic library system covered circulation system of library
materials and self-directed learning resources such as multimedia materials, language
practice room, computer training room and internet services.

Later, on February 25, 2005; according to KU Council approval, OUL KPS was
officially established including 4 divisions: Management and Administration, Information
Resources Development and Management, Services and Information Technology and
Educational Media.

In 2008, OUL KPS has joined the Provincial University Library Network (PULINET)
which is composed of 20 university libraries including Chiang Mai University Library, Maejo
University Library, Naresuan University Library, Payao University Learning Resource and
Educational Media Center, Mae Fah Luang University Learning Resource and Educational
Media Center, Khon Kaen University Library, Academic Resource Center of Mahasarakham
University, the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media of Suranaree
University of Technology, Academic Resource Center of Nakhon Phanom University, the
Office of Academic Resources Ubon Ratchathani University, Sanam Chan Palace
Library Silpakorn University, Silpakorn University Digital Library, Office of Documentation
and Information Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, OUL KPS, Burapha University
Library, The Office of Academic Services of KU Sriracha Campus, The Center for Library
Resources and Educational Media of Walailuk University; Thaksin University Library,
Khunying Long Athakravisunthorn Learning Resources Center of Prince of Songkla
University at Haad Yai Campus, Office of Academic Resources of Prince of Songkla
University at Pattani Campus and Library Center of Princess of Naradhiwas University.
Since 2020, the PULINET has become more members of PULINET PLUS from 9 university
libraries.

Outstanding Achievements of Pride
1. Twenty-four-hour Services Project: Before and during mid-term and final

examination, OUL KPS always extends more service hours up to 24 hours every day to
allow KU KPS lecturers and students to study within it.

2. Library Tour Project: This is to introduce users to get to know about OUL
KPS in terms of venues, services and how to search information resources through the
Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).

3. Book Delivery Project.
4. Academic Books Week Project: to sell academic books for those interested.
5. “Being Full…with Love” Project: This is done together with the Twenty-four-
hour Services Project. It is to provide the users in the library at that time with evening
meal.
6. On September 7, 2018; OUL KPS was entrusted by the KU KPS administration
to oversee the KU KPS Archive as a place to collect important documents of honors
of important people who had benefited KU KPS; it is the pride of OUL KPS personnel.
7. Green Library Award by the Library Association of Thailand under the Royal
Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn.
8. Carbon Neutral Certificate by Greenhouse Gas Management Organization
(Public Organization)

9. Certificate together with the Honorary Shield for the Green Office 2019
was given to OUL KPS having passed the assessment with the score of 84.20 or at the
very good level or Silver G by the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion,
Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2019.

Historical Development

Research and Development Institute at Kamphaeng Saen (RDI KPS) was a sub-
division of Kasetsart University Research and Development Institute (KURDI), Bang Khen
Campus. Later, it was promoted as Research and Development Institute at Kamphaeng
Saen on 29 September 2006 with administrative status equivalent to a faculty. It consists
of nine sub-divisions which are Administration and General Service, Central Laboratory
and Greenhouse Complex, National Agricultural Machinery Division, Tropical Vegetable
Research and Development Center, Cane and Sugar Research and Development Center,
Tropical Fruits Research and Development Center, Environmental Entomology Research
and Development Center, Research Coordination and Extension Division and Postharvest
Technology Center. RDI KPS aims to coordinate amount of research through research
process and development both inside and outside KU. Moreover, it provides the
academic service, laboratory analysis, field laboratory service and science equipment
related to research. Besides, it is also the source and cultivating plant, microorganism
and insect species inside the biggest dome in Southeast Asia, tropical seed bank and the
museum of rare and nearly extinct insect.

According to the KU Council’s resolution resulting from the meeting on

November 24, 2013; the RDI KPS has been dissolved since November 26, 2013. The
business, properties, debts, manpower and budget of two divisions which are the
National Agricultural Machinery Division and the Research Coordination and Extension
Division have been transferred to Kamphaeng Saen Campus Office. Besides a division and
four centers which are the Central Laboratory and Greenhouse Complex Division,

สอดคล้องกันรวมกันเป็นกลุ่ม และจัดตั้งขึ้นเป็น
สถาบันวิจัยเฉพาะทาง เพื่อให้รองรับงานวิจัย
เฉพาะกจิ ของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ท่ีเพิ่มมาก

จนั ทรสถิตย์ และเปล่ียนช่ือสถาบันวิจัยทางด้านสตั ว์จากสถาบนั อินทรียจ์ ันทรสถิตย์ เป็นสถาบันสุวรรณ
วาจกกสิกิจ ต่อมาปรับช่ือเป็น สถาบันสุวรรณวาจกกสิกิจเพื่อการค้นคว้าและพัฒนาปศุสัตว์และ
ผลิตภัณฑส์ ตั ว์

ปี พ.ศ. 2534 มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ได้ประกาศจัดตั้งสานักงานโครงการจัดตั้งสถาบัน
สุวรรณวาจกกสิกิจเพ่ือการค้นคว้าและพัฒนาปศุสัตว์และผลิตภัณฑ์สัตว์ ต้ังแต่วันท่ี 30 กันยายน

ปี พ.ศ. 2544 ได้แบ่งส่วนหน่วยงานในสถาบันสุวรรณวาจกกสิกิจเพื่อการค้นคว้าและพัฒนา
ปศสุ ัตว์และผลติ ภัณฑ์สตั ว์ เป็น 9 หนว่ ยงาน ได้แก่ ศนู ยค์ ้นควา้ และพัฒนาวิชาการอาหารสัตว์ ศนู ย์วิจัย
และฝกึ อบรมการเล้ยี งสุกรแห่งชาติ ศูนยว์ ิจัยและพฒั นาการผลติ กระบือและโค ศูนย์วจิ ยั และพัฒนาการ
ผลิตนม ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาการผลิตสัตว์เคี้ยวเอ้ืองขนาดเล็ก ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาการผลิตสัตว์ปีก

Historical Development
In 1989, the Kasetsart University (KU) executives agreed to the policy to integrate

Kasetsart University Research and Development--KURDI’s centers and research stations
under similar missions and goals into specialized research institutes in order to work and
coordinate the missions and goals more closely together. Being established as a
specialized research institute was to improve the management efficiency of research and
development. Initially, the research centers and stations were therefore grouped into
two groups: a group of plant research centers and a group of animal research centers.
Resulting from a lot of meetings of the working group for the policy, led by Prof. Dr. Jarun
Janthalakhana (the then-vice-president for research and development planning), Prof. Dr.
Sujin Jinayon (the then-vice-president for Kamphaeng Saen campus), Prof. Dr. Theera
Sutabutr (the then-director of the KURDI and the KU Planning Division). The resolution
was to establish the group of plant research centers as the Insee Jandrasatit Plant
Research and Development Institute (IPRDI), and the other of animal research centers as
the Suwanvajokkasikit Animal Research and Development Institute (SARDI).

On 30th September 1991, the KU Council approved the establishment project of
the Animal Research and Development Institute (SARDI) which consisted of 7 research
centers and 2 research stations conducting research and development of livestock
production from the KURDI. It had started the operation since the fiscal year 1992, which
was in the period of the National Economic and Social Development Plan No. 7 (1992 -

1996), with the aim to increase KU research and development capacity in response to
the country's livestock needs in the future.

Later in 2001 according to the announcement by KU Council, Suwanvajokkasikit
Animal Research and Development Institute (SARDI) officially consisted of 9 working
units as follows: Animal Nutrition Research and Development Center, National Swine
Production Research and Training Center, Beef and Buffalo Research and Development
Center, Dairy Production Research and Development Center, Small-Ruminant Animal
Research and Development Center, Poultry Production Research and Development
Center, Animal Products Research and Development Center, Tubkwang Research Station
(Saraburi province) and the Office of Secretary.

Mission
1 . To conduct research and development of livestock production in order to

increase efficiency and simultaneously decrease cost of the production and to develop
the capabilities of domestic farmers so as to seize animal husbandry as a vocation.

2 . To provide academic services and transfer technologies of the livestock
production to farmers and those of related industrial sectors to increase efficiency of the
livestock production.

3. To develop the capabilities of the SARDI staff to have diverse knowledge.
4. To support students’ teaching, research and apprenticeship.

พัฒนาการและความเป็นมา
เน่ืองจากมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ มีโครงการขยายมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ข้ึน ณ วิทยาเขต

กาแพงแสน อาเภอกาแพงแสน จังหวัดนครปฐม เพื่อเป็นแหล่งผลิตบุคลากรระดับปริญญาตรี ปริญญาโท
และปรญิ ญาเอก ในสาขาวชิ าการเกษตรและอ่ืน ๆ มหาวทิ ยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เปิดการเรียนการสอนทีว่ ทิ ยา
เขตแห่งนี้ ตั้งแต่เดือนพฤศจิกายน พ.ศ.2522 เป็นต้นมา โดยมีคณะต่าง ๆ เร่ิมเปิดดาเนินการ คือ
คณะเกษตร คณะสตั วแพทยศาสตร์ คณะวศิ วกรรมศาสตร์ คณะศกึ ษาศาสตร์ และบณั ฑิตวทิ ยาลยั

ในปี พ.ศ.2523 มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์มี

แห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน
เพ่ือจะได้สอดคล้องกับแผนพัฒนามหาวิทยาลัย
เกษตรศาสตร์และเป็นการส่งเสริมขยายงานทางด้าน
การศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษาและมัธยมศึกษาในชุมชน
ด้วย ฉะนั้นมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ จึงได้อนุมัติให้
เปิดโรงเรียนสาธิตแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ขึ้น ณ
วทิ ยาเขตกาแพงแสน ตั้งแต่วันที่ 15 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2523 โดยให้คณะศึกษาศาสตรเ์ ป็นผู้รับผดิ ชอบในการ
จัดดาเนินการเรียนการสอน ดังนั้นคณะศึกษาศาสตร์จึงวางเป้าหมายท่ีจะให้โรงเรียนสาธิตเกษตรฯ วิทยา
เขตกาแพงแสน เป็นศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาการศึกษาที่จะทาการวิจัยการศึกษาในระดับประถมศึกษาและ
มัธยมศึกษาในเขตชนบทไปพร้อมกับการทดลองจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบสมรรถฐานและการบริการทาง
วิชาการแก่ชมุ ชนดว้ ย

ขณะท่ีคณะศึกษาศาสตร์ได้รับคาสั่งให้ดาเนินการเปิดการเรียนการสอนระดับประถมศึกษาขึ้นที่
วทิ ยาเขตกาแพงแสน ในปี พ.ศ. 2523 น้ัน ผศ. ดร.รุ่ง เจนจิต คณบดีคณะศึกษาศาสตร์ จึงได้ขออนุมัติจาก
มหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อให้อาจารย์ของคณะศึกษาศาสตร์มาปฏิบัติราชการประจาท่ีโรงเรียนสาธิตเกษตรฯ
วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ในระยะแรกมีท้ังหมด 11 ท่าน เพื่อเตรียมการก่อนเปิดการเรียนการสอนโดย
มอบหมายให้อาจารย์อุดร รัตนภักดิ์ ปฏิบัติราชการในหน้าที่แทนอาจารย์ใหญ่ โดยมีอาจารย์ 9 ท่าน และ
บุคลากรอีก 1 ท่าน คือ อาจารย์วังสรรค์ สุฉันทบุตร, อาจารย์ธาตรี แตงเที่ยง, อาจารย์นิตยา สอนอาจ,
อาจารย์พงษ์ศิริ พานิช, อาจารย์โรจน์วงษ์ นุชสุวรรณ, อาจารย์ปัทมา โอสถเสน, อาจารย์สุนารี หวังไพบูลย์
กิจ, อาจารย์สิทธศิ ักดิ์ นิรทยั , อาจารยอ์ รวรรณ์ พง่ึ งาม และนายสมเกียรติ ศรีอนนั ตคม

ปี พ.ศ.2523 โรงเรียนได้เปิดดาเนินการจัดการเรียนการสอนในระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1-3
มีนกั เรยี น 12 คน โดยวางวตั ถุประสงคข์ องโรงเรยี นดงั น้ี

1. เพ่ือพฒั นาการศึกษา วิจัย และทดลองทฤษฎีทางการศกึ ษา และจิตวิทยาการศึกษาทเี่ หมาะสม
สาหรับเขตพนื้ ที่ชนบท เพือ่ การพัฒนาการศึกษาชนบท

2. เพอื่ การทดลอง วิจยั เก่ียวกับหลกั สูตรในระดบั ประถมศึกษาและมัธยมศกึ ษาในการพัฒนาอาชีพ
แขนงตา่ ง ๆ ใหส้ อดคล้องกับพ้นื ภูมิประเทศ

3. เพ่ือเป็นแหล่งสาธิตและเผยแพร่ผลงานการศึกษา เพ่ือการพัฒนาการศึกษาชนบทให้มี
ประสทิ ธภิ าพและจะเป็นโรงเรยี นท่ีเป็นพี่เลย้ี งสาหรบั โรงเรยี นในชนบทในพน้ื ท่ีใกลเ้ คียง

4. เพื่อเป็นสถานท่ีสาหรับฝึกปฏิบัติงานของนิสิตคณะศึกษาศาสตร์ในการฝึกปฏิบัติงานครู ฝึกหัด
การสอนทดลองวิจัยเกย่ี วกบั แนวทางการปฏิบัติการเรียนการสอนตามหลักวชิ า

5. เพื่อเป็นสถานท่ีสาหรับกุลบุตร กุลธิดา ในท้องที่ชนบทที่จะศึกษาเล่า เรียนตามระดับ
ความสามารถทางสติปญั ญา ความถนัด และความสนใจ ซ่ึงจะเป็นการพฒั นาบุคคลในชนบทให้เป็นพลเมือง
ทีม่ ีคุณภาพ พร้อมทีจ่ ะนาความรู้ ความคดิ ความเขา้ ใจในการแก้ปญั หา เพอื่ เสริมสรา้ งชวี ิตและสังคมให้ดีข้ึน
อันเป็นรากฐานของพลเมอื งดี

ปี พ.ศ. 2532 โรงเรียนมีนักเรียนต้ังแต่ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1 - 6 และชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีท่ี 1 – 6

สาธิตแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาการศึกษา (Kasetsart
University Laboratory School, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Educational Research and
Development Center) โดยมีฐานะเทียบเทา่ ภาควิชาสังกัดคณะศึกษาศาสตร์
ปี พ.ศ. 2554 โรงเรยี นไดร้ ับอนุมัติจากกระทรวงวิทยาศาสตรแ์ ละเทคโนโลยี ให้ดาเนินการจัดการ
เรียนการสอนหลักสูตรห้องเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์ในโรงเรียน ในระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย โดยการ
สนับสนุนของกระทรวงวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี ในการกากับดูแลของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์
วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน (วมว.มก.)

(Intensive English Program) ระดบั ชนั้ ประถมศกึ ษาปีที่ 1 - 6 และระดบั มัธยมศกึ ษาปที ี่ 1- 3
ปัจจุบันโรงเรียนสาธิตแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนา
การศึกษา ดาเนินการจัดการเรียนการสอน ตั้งแต่ชั้นอนุบาลศึกษาปีที่ 1 ถึงชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีท่ี 6 โดยมี
จานวนนกั เรียนและห้องเรียนในแต่ละระดับชนั้ ดงั นี้

Historical Development
Once Kasetsart University (KU) had a project to extend its missions to be carried out

in Kamphaeng Saen district, Nakhon Pathom province to produce bachelor, master and
doctoral graduates in agriculture and other related fields, Kasetsart University at Kamphaeng
Saen campus(KU KPS)has been officially opened since November 1979 including Faculty of
Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education and
Graduate School.

In 1980, KU had a policy to open another Kasetsart University Laboratory School
according to the KU development plan and to provide primary and secondary education to
the community. Therefore, another Kasetsart University Laboratory School(KULS) was
approved by KU to officially open on KU KPS on July 15, 1980 under the educational
administration of Faculty of Education with aims to conduct research and development in
elementary and secondary education in rural areas as well as to do experiments in
performance-based learning and instruction and to provide the neighboring communities
with academic services.

Prior to the official opening of the KULS, Assist. Prof. Dr. Rung Jenjit, the then Dean
of the Faculty of Education assigned with KU approval a group of teachers from KULS on
Banghen campus including Ajahn (teacher) Udorn Ratanapuk as acting principal and others
teachers namely Ajahn Wangsan Suchanthabutr, Ajahn Thatree Taengtiang, Ajahn Nittaya
Sornarj, Ajahn Pongsiri Panit, Ajahn Rojewong Nutsuwan, Ajahn Pattama Osothasen, Ajahn
Sitthisak Nirathai and Ajahn Orawan Peungngaam to run the learning and instruction of KULS
on KU KPS in the beginning.

In the year of 1980, KULS on KU KPS began to run the learning and instruction of
only 12 pupils in elementary education from grade 1 to grade 3. The objectives were as
follows:

1. To develop education and to do research and experiment on educational
theories and appropriate educational psychology for rural areas for the development of
rural education

2. To do experimental research on curricula in primary and secondary education to
develop careers in various fields in accordance with localities.

3. To be a source for demonstration and dissemination of educational results to
develop effective rural education and to be a mentoring school for rural schools in nearby
areas.

4. To be a place for teaching practice and experimenting on teaching practice
guidelines of students of the Faculty of Education

5. To be a place for young people in rural areas to study according to their levels
of intellectual abilities, aptitudes and interests to be qualified citizens ready to bring
knowledge, ideas, understanding to solve problems and to enhance people lives and society
as the foundation of good citizens

In 1989, KULS on KU KPS’s learning and instruction consisted of 6 levels of
elementary (grade 1 – 6) and secondary education (grade 7 – 12).

In 1991, through KU Council’s approval, it began to run kindergarten education
more.

In 2003, it was renamed Kasetsart University Laboratory School, Center for
Educational Research and Development (KU LS CRD) with the status equivalent to a
department under the Faculty of Education.

In 2011, it was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) to teach
upper-secondary students under the Project of a Science Classroom under supervision and
supports by the MST and KU KPS.

In 2012, it was approved to teach students under the English Program of the Ministry
of Education.

In 2018, KULS CRD has requested to expand the classrooms to complete 4
classrooms per class plan.

In the year 2019, KU has approved KU LS CRD to launch an Intensive English Program
for grades 1-6 and secondary levels 1-3.

Currently, KULS CRD organizes teaching and learning. From Kindergarten Year 1 to
Mathayom 6, with the number of students and classrooms in each grade level as follows:

In 2018, to comply with its plan, KULS.CRD requested 4 additional classrooms in
each level.

In 2019, KU approved KULS.CRD to launch an Intensive English Program in
elementary grades 1-6 and secondary grades 1-3.

Currently, KU.LS.CRD provides teaching and learning from Kindergarten Year 1 to
Mathayom Seuksa (secondary grade) 6, with the numbers of students and classrooms in
each grade level as follows:

Each of kindergarten years 1 - 3 has 4 classrooms and 25 students each class.
Each of elementary grades 1 - 6 have 4 classrooms per class (in which grades 5-6
are in the process of adding classrooms to fulfill 4 rooms according to the plan), with 40
students per class.
Each of elementary grades 1 – 2 (Intensive English Program) has 1 classroom with
30 students per class.
Each of secondary grades 1 – 3 has 4 classrooms and 40 students each class.
Each of secondary grades 1 – 3 (Intensive English Program) has 1 classroom with 30
students per class.

พฒั นาการและความเปน็ มา
ศูนย์เคร่ืองจักรกลการเกษตรแห่งชาติ (National

Agricultural Machinery Center) ได้เร่ิมก่อตั้งขึ้นเม่ือปี พ.ศ.
2522 ภ า ย ใ ต้ โ ค ร ง ก า ร Agricultural Extension and
Agricultural Mechanization Project ซึ่งเป็นความช่วยเหลือ
แบบให้เปล่า(Grant Aid) จากรัฐบาลญ่ีปุ่น ผ่านองค์การความ
ร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของญ่ีปุ่น ( Japan International
Cooperation Agency: JICA) แก่มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์
เดิมใช้ชื่อว่า ศูนย์เครื่องจักรกลการเกษตร ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2530 ได้อนุมัติให้ใช้ชื่อว่า “ศูนย์
เครอื่ งจักรกลการเกษตรแห่งชาติ” สงั กดั สถาบันวจิ ัยและพฒั นาแหง่ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ และได้
โอนหน่วยงานมาสังกัด สถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนากาแพงแสน เม่ือวันที่ 29 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2549 และ
เปล่ียนชื่อเปน็ ฝ่ายเครอ่ื งจกั รกลการเกษตรแหง่ ชาติ

ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2556 มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์มีคาสั่งให้ยุบเลิกสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา
กาแพงแสน จึงโอนศูนย์เคร่ืองจักรกลการเกษตรแห่งชาติ ไปสังกัดกับสานักงานวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน
อยู่ภายใต้ กองบรหิ ารการวิจยั และบรกิ ารวชิ าการ จนถึงปจั จบุ ัน

ศูนย์เครื่องจักรกลการเกษตรแห่งชาติ มีภารกิจในการสร้างงานวิจัยและงานสร้างสรรค์ด้าน
เคร่ืองจักรกลการเกษตร ถ่ายทอดและขยายผลงานวิจัยด้านเครื่องจักรกลการเกษตรสู่สาธารณะ

Historical Development

National Agricultural Machinery Center (NAMC) was founded in 1979 under the
Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Mechanization Project as part of the Grant Aid
from the Japanese Government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA). Formerly, its name was the Agricultural Machinery Center and in 1987 it was
renamed National Agricultural Machinery Center (NAMC) and was under the Kasetsart
University Research and Development Institute (KURDI). On September 29, 2006; it was
transformed as the National Agricultural Machinery Department under the Research and
Development Institute at Kamphaeng Saen (RDI KPS).

Later in 2013, following the dissolution of the RDI KPS, it has been moved to be
under the Kamphaeng Saen Campus Office (KPS CO) up to now.

The NAMC’s main missions are to do research and development of agricultural
machinery, to transfer the results to public, to provide testing services of agricultural
machinery according to the Ministry of Industry Standard and to support the teaching of
agricultural machinery.

ศูนย์ปฏิบัตกิ ารวิจัยและเรือนปลูกพืชทดลอง จัดต้ังขึ้นเพื่อพัฒนาความพร้อมทางด้านการวิจัย

การบริการ และการเผยแพร่วิชาการแก่ชุมชน โดยได้รับความช่วยเหลืองบประมาณการก่อสร้างและ
ครุภัณฑ์ ในรูปแบบให้เปล่า จากรัฐบาลญี่ปุ่น ผ่านองค์การความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของญ่ีปุ่น
แกม่ หาวิทยาลยั ในปงี บประมาณ พ.ศ. 2521

ศูนย์ปฏิบัติการวิจัยและเรือนปลูกพืชทดลอง เป็นอาคารช้ันเดียว มีพื้นท่ีใช้สอยภายในตัว
อาคารรวมท้ังสิ้น 10,293 ตารางเมตร เรมิ่ กอ่ สรา้ งเมอื่ วันท่ี 23 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2522 แลว้ เสรจ็ ส่งมอบได้
เมื่อวันท่ี 18 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2523 และมีพธิ ีเปดิ ศูนยน์ ้ีเมื่อวันท่ี 20 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2523

พ.ศ. 2532 ศูนย์ปฏิบัติการวิจัยและเรือนปลูกพืชทดลอง เป็นหน่วยงานที่มีฐานะเทียบเท่า
ฝ่าย สังกัดสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ต่อมาโอนมาสังกัดสถาบันวิจัยและ
พัฒนา กาแพงแสน เมือ่ วันท่ี 29 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2549

สถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา กาแพงแสน ตามแนวทางการบูรณาการภารกิจด้านการบริหารการวิจัย เพื่อให้
สอดคล้องกับแนวทางการบูรณาการการทางานของหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ที่มีการจัดกลุ่มภารกิจเชิงบูรณา
การตามแนวทางการบรหิ ารและพฒั นามหาวทิ ยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์

Historical Development
Central Laboratory and Greenhouse Complex (CLGC) has been founded to

develop the readiness for research, service and dissemination of academic knowledge
to the community in support of the Japanese Grant Aid through the Japan International
Cooperation Agency (JICA) in fiscal year 1978.

Construction of the CLGC designed as a one-story building with total usable area
of 10,293 square meters started on January 23, 1979 and completed on April 18, 1980,
and the opening ceremony of this center was held on December 20, 1980.

In 1999, CLGC which was equivalent a division under Kasetsart University
Research and Development Institute (KURDI) was moved to be under Research and
Development Institute (RDI KPS) officially on 29th, 2006.

CLGC is an agency that provides basic technical tools, data and other research
facilities, a resource for agricultural and related sciences, to provide career advice and
academic services to the communities.

According to KU Council announcement on November 27, 2013, the RDI KPS was
dissolved in line with integrating research administrative missions so the CLGC was moved
to be under the Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen on November 14, 2013.

This distilling machine for aroma oil was awarded as the 1st prize in the Scientific
and Technological Invention Competition 2003 and it has been applied for petty patent
registration; it was registered as the Petty Patent no. 534 and 4427 and has been already
manufactured and publicly sold.

National Biological Control Research Center, Central Regional Center

พฒั นาการและความเป็นมา
ศูนย์วิจัยควบคุมศัตรูพืชโดยชีวินทรีย์ แห่งชาติ ภาคกลาง มีแผนการก่อต้ังข้ึนท่ี

มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสนในปี 2525 ในช่วงแรกได้เริ่มดาเนินการต้ัง
ห้องปฏิบัติการโดยขอใช้พื้นท่ีบริเวณห้องปฏิบัติการของศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนากีฏวิทยาอุตสาหกรรม
ปี 2527 ต่อมาในปี 2528 รศ. ดร.ไพบูลย์ ไพรีพ่ายฤทธิ์ (รองอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยในขณะนั้น)
ได้ตกลงให้ทางศูนย์ฯ ภาคกลาง ก่อตั้งข้ึนบนพื้นท่ี 80 ไร่ของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขต
กาแพงแสน พร้อมท้ังเร่ิมสร้างอาคารสาหรับใช้เป็นอาคารสานักงาน และโรงเรือนสาหรับเพาะเล้ียง
แมลง การกอ่ สร้างแลว้ เสร็จพร้อมใชส้ าหรบั เปน็ ห้องปฏบิ ตั ิการในปี พ.ศ. 2530 จนถึงปัจจุบัน

ภารกิจของศูนย์น้ี คือ การวิจัย พัฒนา และส่งเสริมทั้งข้ันพ้ืนฐานและขั้นประยุกต์ การ
ฝึกอบรมท้ังระดับมีปริญญา และไม่มีปรญิ ญา การดาเนินการภาคสนาม การบรกิ ารด้านการสง่ เสริมและ
ท่ีปรึกษา การเผยแพร่ข้อมูลข่าวสาร และกิจกรรมต่างๆ ท่ีเก่ียวข้องกับการควบคุมศัตรูพืชโดยชีววิธี
และการบริหารศัตรูพืชแบบบูรณภาพ เพื่อคงไว้ซ่ึงการเป็นผู้นาทางด้านการบริหารศัตรูพืชแบบบูรณ
ภาพท่ีมีพ้ืนฐานทางด้านชีววิทยา และการควบคุมและการจัดการแมลงศัตรูพืช วัชพืช และแมลงพาหะ
ที่มีความสาคัญทางการเกษตร การแพทย์ และสาธารณสุข โดยการไม่ใช้สารเคมี เพ่ือลดมลภาวะใน

Historical Development
Kasetsart University had a plan to found the National Biological Control

Research Center, Central Reginal Center ( NBCRC-CRC) in the year 1982 and then in
1984, KU asked for an area from the Industrial Entomology Research and Development
Center to construct NBCRC-CRC’ s laboratories. In 1985, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paiboon
Phaireepairit, the then Vice President of KU KPS approved the NBCRC-CRC to used the
area of 80 rai (32 acres) of KU KPS to construct the buildings consisting of the office of
administration and insectaries. Later the buildings of NBCRC-CRC were completely

constructed in 1987.

The missions of NBCRC-CRC proceeds research and development projects. The
research projects are including of basic and applied researches. In addition, the training
of non-degree people and degree people. The missions consist of doing research in the
fields, provide information and extension, and consult about natural enemies of
important insect pests in Thailand. NBCRC-CRC has many activities that relate to
biological control and integrated pest management of insect pests, weeds and insect
vectors that important to agriculture, medical and public health by no application of
pesticides that contribute to natural conservation and sustainable utilization of natural
enemies in environment.

พฒั นาการและความเปน็ มา
ในช่วง พ.ศ. 2511 มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ โดย ศ. ดร.สุชีพ รัตนสาร ได้ดาเนินการจัดต้ัง

ศูนย์วิจัยและฝึกอบรมการเลี้ยงสุกร เพื่อใช้ในการแก้ไขปัญหาการผลิตสุกรในอนาคต เพื่อผลิตสุกรให้
ถูกหลักวิชาการและพัฒนาการเลี้ยงสุกรของเกษตรกรให้เป็นอุตสาหกรรม โดยมีความร่วมมือกับ
กรมปศุสตั ว์

ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2516 - 2517 ก็ได้รับงบประมาณตามแผนพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจแห่งชาติฉบับที่ 3
และให้ใช้สถานทีใ่ นการดาเนนิ การ 3 แหง่ ด้วยกัน คือ

1. มหาวทิ ยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ที่อาเภอกาแพงแสน จังหวัดนครปฐม

พ.ศ. 2518 ศูนย์วิจัยและฝึกอบรมการเล้ียงสุกรแห่งชาติ ได้เริ่มดาเนินการฝึกอบรมการเลี้ยง
สกุ รแก่เกษตรกรและประชาชนทวั่ ไปเป็นครง้ั แรก

ศูนย์วิจัยและฝึกอบรมการเลี้ยงสุกรแห่งชาติ อยู่ในสังกัดของคณะเกษตร กาแพงแสน ตั้งแต่
วันท่ี 31 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2557

Historical Development
In 1968, KU administration by Prof. Dr. Sucheep Ratatasarn in cooperation with

the Livestock Department founded a Swine Research and Training Center to produce
pigs according to technical principles and develop the farmers' pig farming to be an
industry.

Later in the years 1973-1974, the Center received the budget according to the
3rd National Economic Development Plan and used three operational locations as
follows:

1. Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus at Kamphaeng Saen District,
Nakhon Pathom Province;

2. The then Tab Kwang Agricultural Students Training Station (Currently Tap
Kwang Research Station) Tap Kwang Subdistrict, Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province and

3. Nong Kwang Animal Breeding Station of the Livestock at Nong Kwang Sub-
district, Ratchaburi.

Later it was officially approved and named “National Swine Research and
Training Center (NSRTC)” together with an Executive Board to oversee with duties as
follows:

1. Formulate policies for the implementation of the pig breeding and breeding
research project.

2. Coordinate between various government agencies in order to meet the
objectives of the research project including asking for help from various organizations
both inside and outside the country.

3. Appoint sub-committees or working groups as they deem appropriate.

In 1975, NSRTC began to provide swine farmers and interested public with the
swine production training.

Since January 31, 2014; NSRTC has been under the Faculty of Agriculture at
Kamphaeng Saen.
