คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ กาแพงแสน มีความเข้มแข็งด้านการสร้างสรรคน์ วัตกรรมเคร่ืองจักรกล
เกษตรและวิศวกรรมหลังการเก็บเก่ียวกระบวนการและเครื่องจักรกลแปรรูปอาหาร เทคนิคแบบไม่

Outstanding Achievements of Pride
The Faculty has a strong background in the innovation of agricultural machinery,

postharvest technology, food processing and machinery, non-destructive techniques for
agricultural and food products, irrigation and water management, as well as the
applications of supportive technology such as computer, information and digital
technology, robotics and automation systems, structures and logistics systems to the
development of agriculture. The EEEC serves to conduct the research and provides social
service in the areas of alternative energy and environmental conservation, by focusing
on utilization of wastes and by-product from agriculture, industry and municipality to
produce energy and recycle. The project of electricity generation from landfill biogas
under royal initiative may be a representative of those successful cases. In addition, the
Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen also provides various services to private
sector, such as testing of construction materials. At latest, the TDWCB center was
established to provide testing of metal frames for windows and doors in buildings
according Thai Industrial Standard.

In addition, as follows are championships won by FE KPS’s student teams:
Banana-leaf-cup (Krathong) Compression Machine

This invention is a research work of Ajarn Nongluck Lekrungruangkit, Head of
Energy and Environmental Engineering Operations Center. It can make from a banana
leaf a beautiful, clean, strong and not leaking Krathong that can be efficiently used as a
food container. In addition to banana leaves, such other materials as banana sheaths,
lotus leaves, Burmese sal leaves, etc; can also be used.
Durian Quality Analyzer

It is a measuring machine of durian ripeness or not. It works effectively and
efficiently without damaging the fruit or the pulp of durian with Near Infrared
Spectroscopy (NIR) technology, which is the study result of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ronnarit
Rittiron, Head of NIR Laboratory, Department of Food Engineering. It is small, easy to use,
easy to carry, and can be quickly read if durian is ripe or soft and not fully grown or its
pulp isbeautiful or not. More importantly, it can measure so fast that many durians can
be measured at a time.
KU Innovations Fighting against COVID-19

These innovative works which belong to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chao Inprasit, Dean of
the Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen are as follows:

1) Negative pressure room prototype for airborne infectious patients.
2) Positive pressure headgear set.
3) Trolley with negative pressure cover.
4) Prototype of patient bed cover with air suction unit (bed-cover Hood) for
moving the patient.
5) Prototype of the air purifier in the room (Mobile HEPA Filter).

พัฒนาการและความเป็นมา
คณะศลิ ปศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ กาเนิดจากดาริของ ศ. ดร.สุจินต์ จินายน ซึ่งดารงตาแหน่ง

รองอธิการบดีประจาวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน (ตั้งแต่วันท่ี 1 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2529 ถึง 9 มิถุนายน
พ.ศ. 2533) เพื่อแกไ้ ขปัญหาการจัดการเรียนการสอนรายวิชาพ้ืนฐานทีว่ ิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ซ่ึงเดิมตอ้ งขอ
ความอนุเคราะห์จากคณะวิชาต่าง ๆ ที่วิทยาเขตบางเขน โดยจัดตั้งตามแผนพัฒนาการศึกษา
ระดบั อุดมศึกษา ฉบับที่ 7 (พ.ศ. 2535 – พ.ศ. 2539) ดาเนนิ การจดั ทาโครงการจัดต้ังเสนอมหาวทิ ยาลยั
ตั้งแต่เดือนพฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2533 ได้รับอนุมัติจากทบวงมหาวิทยาลัยให้จัดต้ังคณะศิลปศาสตร์และ
วิทยาศาสตร์ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 6 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2535 อนุมัติจากคณะรัฐมนตรี เม่ือวันท่ี 25 พฤษภาคม
พ.ศ. 2536 และมีประกาศทบวงมหาวิทยาลัย เร่ือง การแบ่งสว่ นราชการในมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์
(ฉบับที่ 2) พ.ศ. 2536 ลงวันที่ 10 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2536 ประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เล่มที่ 110
ตอนท่ี 121 ลงวันที่ 31 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2536 โดยเมื่อวันที่ 7 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2536 มหาวิทยาลัย
เกษตรศาสตร์ มีคาส่ังมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ท่ี 2168/2536 แต่งตั้ง รศ.ปริทรรศน์ (กรึก) นฤทุม
เป็นผู้รักษาการในตาแหน่งคณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ และสภามหาวิทยาลัย
เกษตรศาสตร์ มีคาส่ังที่ 8/2537 ลงวันที่ 15 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2537 แต่งต้ัง รศ.ปริทรรศน์ นฤทุม ให้
ด า ร ง ต า แ ห น่ ง ค ณ บ ดี ค ณ ะ ศิ ล ป ศ า ส ต ร์ แ ล ะ วิ ท ย า ศ า ส ต ร์ ตั้ ง แ ต่ วั น ท่ี 1 5 กุ ม ภ า พั น ธ์
พ.ศ. 2537 โดยมีวาระการดารงตาแหน่ง 4 ปี จงึ ถอื ได้ว่าวันที่ 31 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2536 เป็นวันสถาปนา
คณะศิลปศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ สีประจาคณะเป็นสี “เทาเงนิ ” ซ่ึงมี รศ.ปรทิ รรศน์ นฤทุม เป็นคณบดี

หลังจาก รศ.ปริทรรศน์ นฤทุม ได้สนิ้ สุดวาระการดารงตาแหน่ง มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ได้
แต่งตั้ง ผศ.แสงสรุ ีย์ สินธุวณิก ให้ดารงตาแหน่งคณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ ตั้งแต่วันท่ี 11
เมษายน พ.ศ. 2538 ถึงวันที่ 10 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2542 (วาระท่ี 1) และตั้งแต่วันท่ี 20 เมษายน พ.ศ.
2542 ถึงวันที่ 31 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2545 (วาระท่ี 2) และหลังจาก ผศ.แสงสุรีย์ สินธุวณิก ได้ส้ินสุดวาระ
การดารงตาแหน่ง มหาวิทยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ได้แต่งต้ัง รศ.ดร.คณพล จุฑามณี ใหด้ ารงตาแหน่งคณบดี
คณะศิลปศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ ตั้งแต่วันท่ี 21 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2545 ถึงวันท่ี 20 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ.
2549

ในระยะแรกน้ัน คณะศิลปศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ แบ่งส่วนราชการออกเป็น สานักงาน
เลขานุการ ไม่มีการแบง่ ส่วนราชการเป็นภาควิชา แต่แบ่งส่วนราชการภายในด้านวิชาการเป็นสายวิชา โดยมี
ฐานะเทียบเท่าภาควชิ า ต่อมาท่ีประชุมสภามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ คร้ังท่ี 4/2540 เม่ือวันท่ี 25 เมษายน
พ.ศ. 2540 มีมติเห็นชอบให้แบ่งโครงสร้างการบริหารงานวิชาการภายในเป็น 3 สายวิชา ได้แก่ สายวิชา
วิทยาศาสตร์ สายวิชาศิลปศาสตร์ และสายวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ สถิติและคอมพิวเตอร์ โดยมีหัวหน้าสายวิชา
ปฏบิ ตั ิหนา้ ทรี่ บั ผดิ ชอบงานบรหิ ารของสายวิชา มีฐานะเทียบเท่าหัวหนา้ ภาควชิ า

ต่อมามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ได้แต่งตั้ง ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชานันก์ สุดสุข ดารง
ตาแหน่งคณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 21 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2549 ถึงวันที่ 20
พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2553 (วาระที่ 1) โดยมีการบริหารจดั การปรับโครงสร้างการบริหารงานภายในโดยยก
ฐานะสาขาวิชาที่มีความพร้อมเป็นโครงการจัดตั้งสายวิชา และกาหนดให้มีฐานะเทียบเท่าสายวิชาเดิม
ระยะแรกได้ดาเนินการตามประกาศคณะฯ ต้ังแต่วันท่ี 1 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2551 จาก 3 สายวิชา ตาม
โครงสร้างเดิม เป็น 9 สายวิชา ดังน้ี สายวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ (ช่ือเดิมสายวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ สถิติ และ
คอมพิวเตอร์) สายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ สายวิชาศิลปศาสตร์ โครงการจัดต้ังสายวิชาเคมี (ยกฐานะจาก
สาขาวิชาเคมี สายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์) โครงการจัดต้ังสายวิชาจุลชีววิทยา (ยกฐานะจากสาขาวิชาจุล
ชีววิทยา สายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์) โครงการจัดต้ังสายวิชาฟิสิกส์ (ยกฐานะจากสาขาวิชาฟิสิกส์ สายวิชา

หลังจาก รศ. ดร.ชานันก์ สุดสุข ได้สิ้นสุดวาระการดารงตาแหน่ง มหาวิทยาลัย
เกษตรศาสตร์ได้แต่งต้ัง อ. ดร.อนามัย ดาเนตร ให้ดารงตาแหน่งคณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์และ
วทิ ยาศาสตร์ ตง้ั แต่วนั ที่ 24 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2557 ถงึ วนั ท่ี 23 มถิ ุนายน พ.ศ. 2561 (วาระท่ี 1) ตอ่ มาท่ี
ประชุมสภามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ในการประชุมคร้ังท่ี 8/2557 เมอ่ื วันที่ 25 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2557

ภาควิชา) โดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อนามัย ดาเนตร ได้ดารงตาแหน่งคณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์และ
วิทยาศาสตร์ วาระที่ 2 ตง้ั แตว่ นั ที่ 26 กุมภาพนั ธ์ พ.ศ. 2562 ถึงปจั จบุ ัน

Historical Development
The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science (F LAS) was founded on the vision of

Prof. Dr. Sujin Jinayon, the then KU KPS Vice President (during his office from the August
1, 1986 to June 7, 1990), under the Seventh National Higher Education Development
Plan (1992-1996). The project began in November, 1990 with approval from the Ministry
of University Affairs on the August 6, 1992 onwards. It gained an approval from the
Cabinet on the May 25, 1993 with the second official announcement from the Ministry
of University Affairs on reorganizing KU Administrative Agencies on August 10, 1993 under
the Government Gazette volume 110, section 121, on August 31, 1993. On October 7,
1993, Kasetsart University announced the Notification on Appointment No. 2168/1993 in
the title of appointing Assoc. Prof. Paritas (Kruek) Narutum as an acting Dean of the
Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science. Also, the council of Kasetsart University announced
the Notification on Appointment No. 8/1994 on February 15, 1994 in the title of
appointing Assoc. Prof. Paritas Narutum as the dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and
Science started from February 15, 1994 with 4 years of term of office. Therefore, the
Founder’s Day was on August 31, 1993. Kasetsart University assigned grey colour as the
official colour of Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science. Assoc. Prof. Paritas Narutum was
appointed as the first dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science with the term of
office from February 15, 1994 to April 1, 1995.

After the termination of Assoc. Prof. Paritas Narutum’s term of office, Kasetsart
University then appointed Assist. Prof. Sangsuree Sindhuvanik as the next dean of the
Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science with the term of office from April 11, 1995 to April
10, 1999 (first term of office), and from April 20, 1999 to January 31, 2002 (second term

of office). After Assist. Prof. Sangsuree Sindhuvanik’s office, Kasetsart University then
appointed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanapol Jutamanee as the next dean of the Faculty of Liberal
Arts and Science with the term of office from May 21, 2002 to May 20, 2006.

At the beginning, F.LAS was composed of an Office of the Secretary and some
Subject Lines equivalent to the departments in other faculties. According to the
resolution of approval by KU Council the 4th meeting in 1997 on April 25, 1997; there
were 3 Subject Lines including Subject Line of Science, Subject Line of Arts, and Subject
Line of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer under administration by Heads of Subject
Lines equivalent to the departments’ heads in other faculties.

Afterwards, Kasetsart University appointed Assist. Prof. Dr. Chanun Sudsuk as the
next dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science with the term of office from May
21, 2006 to May 20, 2010 (first term of office). During the administration by Assist. Prof.
Dr. Chanun Sudsuk, Dean of the F.LAS (2006–2014), the structural organization was
revised to improve its management process by changing the role of academic sections
to divisions and establishing new ones. Thus, on October 1, 2008, the F.LAS had its
structural organization as follows: Subject Line of Mathematics, Subject Line of Science,
Subject Line of Liberal Arts, Subject Line of Chemistry, Subject Line of Biochemistry,
Subject Line of Physics, Subject Line of Social Sciences, Subject Line of Business
Management and Economics, and Subject Line of Computer. In 2010, Kasetsart University
appointed Assist. Prof. Dr. Chanun Sudsuk as the next dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts
and Science with the term of office from May 21, 2010 to May 20, 2014 (second term of
office).

After the termination of Assist. Prof. Dr. Chanun Sudsuk’s second term of office,
Kasetsart University then appointed Assist. Prof. Dr. Anamai Damnet as the next dean of
the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science with the term of office from June 24, 2014 to
June 23, 2018 (first term of office). Nevertheless, according to the resolution of the
meeting of KU Council no. 8/2014, on October 25, 2014, the F.LAS was approved to
revise its organizational structure to have academic departments like other KU’s faculties,
and thus it has been composed of a Secretary Office, Department of Liberal Arts,
Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, Department of Science,
and Research Promotion and Technology Transfer Centre. Assist. Prof. Dr. Anamai Damnet

has been appointed as the dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science with the
second term of office from February 26, 2019 to present.

Outstanding Achievements of Pride
1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Puttawong, a lecturer of Department of Chemistry

of F.LAS received an honorary Badge of Chemistry, Biology, Radiology and Nuclear (CBRN
Badge) at the Department of Science of the Royal Thai Army on January 26, 2017.

2. F.LAS’s student team won the "Innovation for the Environment in the Aviation
Industry" Award again as the 2nd time of Thai Airways International Competition (TG Travel
Green Innovation No. 2).

3. F.LAS’s student team also won an award for the 5th “THM Fair” Tourism and
Hotel Professional Skills Competition.

4. F.LAS’s fourth-year-chemistry students won an award for good marks in
chemistry of Thailand and then received the certificate in the 10th Certificate of Chemical
Knowledge.

5. In the 18th Asian Games, an F.LAS’s athlete won the Gold Medal in
Paragliding.

6. Dietary supplement product “Avan Propo Bee” by Assist. Prof. Dr. Prapa
Sohsalam was awarded the gold medal in 2 0 2 0 Kaohsiung International Invention and
Design EXPO (KIDE) from December 10 – 12 2020 at Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and the winner
of innovation competition of Kasetsart University 2020. The product was approved by
the Food and Drug Administration (No. 13-1-07458-5-0215) and in the process of applying
the petty patent (application no. 2103000940).

7. Water hyacinth controlling fungus. Project by Dr. Arm Unartngam was awarded
the Gold research with very high impact at Kasetsart University’s Research Award
Ceremony on October 27, 2020.

8. Cultivation of Kratinphiman Mushroom (Phellinus sp.) for Study on Primary
Bioactive Compound Production. Project by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jintana Unartngam, Dr. Arm
Unartngam, and Mr. Pheeradon Phakphiangchan was awarded the Silver Medal in the
Higher Education Innovation of the year 2019 on April 9, 2019.

พัฒนาการและความเปน็ มา
คณะศึกษาศาสตร์และพัฒนศาสตร์ มีจุดเริ่มต้นจากการเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของคณะศึกษาศาสตร์

มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เม่ือปี พ.ศ. 2522 (ในขณะนั้น ศ. ดร.บุญธรรม จิตต์อนันต์ ดารงตาแหน่ง
คณบดีคณะศึกษาศาสตร์) ได้เริ่มย้ายนิสิตสาขาวิชาศึกษาศาสตร์เกษตร ช้ันปีที่ 3 - 4 มาเรียนที่
วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ตามโครงการพัฒนามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ในการขยายวิทยาเขต
โดยประกอบไปด้วย 2 หน่วยงาน คือ ภาควิชาอาชีวศึกษา และสานักงานเลขานุการ มีสานักงาน
ชั่วคราวท่ีสานักหอสมุด กาแพงแสน และในปี พ.ศ. 2523 ได้มีการดาเนินการจัดตั้งโรงเรียนสาธิต
แห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ท่ีวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสนขึ้น เพ่ือรองรับการเล่าเรียนของบุตรหลาน
บคุ ลากรเป็นหลกั โดยมี รศ.อุดร รตั นภักดิ์ เป็นรองอาจารย์ใหญ่

วันที่ 23 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2547 (ในขณะน้ัน
รศ. ดร.พนิต เข็มทอง ดารงตาแหน่งคณบดีคณ ะ
ศกึ ษาศาสตร์) ได้จดั ตั้งคณะศึกษาศาสตร์ กาแพงแสนข้ึน
ต่อมาเปลี่ยนช่ือเป็น “คณะศึกษาศาสตร์และพัฒนศาสตร์”
ในวันท่ี 24 กันยายน พ .ศ. 2550 ประกอบ ด้วย

Historical Development
The Faculty of Education and Development Sciences (F EDS) has started as a

part of the Faculty of Education at Bangkhen. In 1979, (then the Dean of the old
Faculty of Education was Prof. Dr. Boontham Jitanan) the teaching and learning of the
third and fourth year students in Agriculture Education program were relocated to
Kamphaeng Saen Campus according to the policy of KU to develop a new campus.
Initially, there were two offices namely the Department of Vocational Education and
the Office of Secretary and the temporary office was located at KPS Library. Then,
Kasetsart University Laboratory School at KPS (Center for Educational Research and
Development) was established in 1980 with Assoc. Prof. Udorn Ratanapuk as the first
principal.

KU Council granted full faculty status to F EDS on the 23rd of November 2004
(then the Dean of the Faculty of Education was Prof. Dr. Panit Khemthong) and then it
was named the ‘Faculty of Education at Kamphaeng Saen’. Later on the 24th of
September 2007, the KU Council renamed the faculty to the 'Faculty of Education and
Development Sciences'.

At present, F EDS consists of six offices: Department of Human and Community
Resource Development, Teacher Education, Physical Education and Sports, Kasetsart
University Laboratory School Center for Educational Research and Development, and
the Office of Secretary.

คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัย

เกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน เป็นส่วน
หนึ่งของคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ที่ก่อตั้งขึ้นตาม
นโยบายขยายการศึกษาออกนอกเขตเมืองของ
มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เพื่อให้มีพ้ืนท่ีสาหรับ
การเรียน การสอนการวิจัย แปลงหญ้า และด้าน
ปศุสัตว์ท่ีสอดคล้องกับการเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยท่ี
ศึกษาทางด้านการเกษตร โดยคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ เป็นหน่วยงานหน่ึงที่จะต้องเปิดให้มีการ
ดาเนนิ การตามนโยบายดังกล่าว ดงั น้ัน ในปี พ.ศ. 2522 จึงได้ย้ายนิสิตช้นั ปที ี่ 5 และชัน้ ปีที่ 6 มาเรียนที่
มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน (ในขณะนั้น ศ. น.สพ. ดร.ราพึง ดิสสะมาน ดารง
ตาแหน่งคณบด)ี และย้ายนิสิตช้นั ปีท่ี 4 มาเรียนกาแพงแสนในเวลาต่อมาด้วย

ใหญ่และสัตว์ป่า ภาควิชาสัตวแพทยสาธารณสุขศาสตร์ และภาควิชาพยาธิวิทยา มีการเรียนการสอน
เก่ียวกับการรกั ษาสัตวเ์ คี้ยวเอื้อง เช่น โคนม โคเนื้อ กระบือ แพะ แกะ และสัตว์ป่า เช่น ช้าง เสือ กวาง
ชะนี และเลียงผา สตั ว์เศรษฐกิจ เช่น สุกร สัตว์ปีก และ สัตว์น้า และสัตว์เล้ียง เช่น สุนัข แมว และม้า
เป็นต้น

คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ ท่ีวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน มี 5 หน่วยงานท่ีให้บริการวิชาการ คือ
หน่วยงานสัตว์ทดลอง หน่วยงานชันสูตรโรคสัตว์ และโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ 3 แห่ง ประกอบด้วย
โรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ กาแพงแสน โรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์
หนองโพ และโรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ หัวหิน เพ่ือสนับสนุนการเรียนการสอนและ
ประสบการณ์ด้านคลินิกของนิสติ สัตวแพทย์ และเพื่อเพิ่มความรอบร้ขู องบัณฑิตทางด้านปศสุ ัตว์ รวมถึง
การให้บริการรักษาสัตว์นอกสถานท่ีทั้งในพ้ืนท่ีจังหวัดนครปฐม และพ้ืนท่ีใกล้เคียง โดยเฉพาะการ

จัดการด้านสุขภาพระดับสูงในโคนมและสุกร และมีบางส่วนเป็นสัตว์ป่าและสัตว์เล้ียง ซ่ึงทั้งหมดมีการ
ดาเนินการท่ีมีคุณภาพได้มาตรฐานท่ีมีการใชอ้ ุปกรณ์และเครื่องมือท่ีทันสมัย และพรอ้ มในการให้บริการ
ในภาคสนาม

โรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ กาแพงแสน ดาเนินการมาแล้วกว่า 25 ปี โดย
เป็นแหล่งสาคัญในด้านการเรียนการสอนของนิสิต และให้บริการรักษาสัตว์แก่ประชาชนในเขตภาค
ตะวันตก ปัจจุบันแบ่งหน่วยการให้บริการตรวจรักษาออกตามชนิดสัตว์ ได้แก่ หน่วยสัตว์เลี้ยง หน่วย
สตั ว์ใหญ่และสัตว์ปา่ และหน่วยมา้ ภายใตว้ ิสัยทัศน์ในการดาเนินงานทจ่ี ะผลักดันใหเ้ ป็น “ โรงพยาบาล
สัตวอ์ ้างองิ ในเขตภาคตะวันตก ”

โรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ หนองโพ เกิดจากความร่วมมือระหว่างคณะ
สตั วแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ กับสหกรณโ์ คนมหนองโพ เพ่ือเปิดสถานบริการรักษาและ
ให้คาปรึกษาด้านสุขภาพโคนม โรงพยาบาลสัตว์แห่งนี้ ต้ังอยู่ในซอยบ้านหนองรี หมู่ 8 ตาบลบ้านเลือก
อาเภอโพธาราม จงั หวดั ราชบรุ ี เปดิ ให้บริการคร้งั แรกเมื่อเดือนสิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2523 ตอ่ มาสหกรณ์โคนม
หนองโพ ให้ความช่วยเหลือจัดหาท่ีดินเพ่ิมให้กับทางโรงพยาบาลสัตวเ์ พ่ือรองรับการขยายงาน ปัจจุบัน
โรงพยาบาลสตั ว์ มหาวทิ ยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ หนองโพ มเี น้อื ที่ท้งั หมดประมาณ 17 ไร่เศษ

โรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ หัวหิน ด้วยได้รับพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ โปรด
เกล้าโปรดกระหม่อมจากพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ให้ถวายงานดูแลสุนัขทรงเล้ียง ณ วังไกลกังวล
อาเภอหัวหิน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ต้ังแต่ปี พ.ศ.2541 เป็นต้นมาน้ัน เพื่อให้การถวายงานการดูแล
สุนัขทรงเล้ียงเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และเพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อประชาชนผู้เลี้ยงสัตว์ในพื้นท่ี
ภาคใต้ตอนบน มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ จึงจดั ต้ังโรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ หัวหิน
ข้ึน บนพื้นท่ีประมาณ 102 ไร่ บริเวณหาดสวนสน ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากกองทัพบก มีภารกิจหลักใน
ด้านการให้บริการทางวิชาการแก่ประชาชนในพ้ืนท่ีภาคใต้ตอนบน อกี ทั้งเป็นหน่วยงานท่ีสนับสนุนด้าน
การเรียนการสอน การวิจัย ของคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ นอกเหนือจาก
ภารกิจหลักดังกล่าวแล้วน้ัน ยังมีเป้าหมายเพ่ือมุง่ สู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางการถ่ายทอดความรู้ทางสตั วแพทย์
(Veterinary Educational Hub) ในภมู ิภาคเอเชีย

โครงการจัดตั้งโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ หัวหิน เริ่มดาเนินการ ตั้งแต่ปี
พ.ศ. 2546 จนแล้วเสร็จบางส่วน สามารถให้บริการรักษาสัตว์แก่ประชาชนได้ ตั้งแต่เดือนกรกฎาคม
พ.ศ. 2553 โดยให้บริการรักษาสัตว์เลี้ยง ทั้งด้านอายุรกรรม ด้านศัลยกรรม ด้านสัตว์ป่วยใน ด้านสัตว์
ป่วยหนักและฉุกเฉิน รวมถึงการให้บริการรักษาและจัดการสุขภาพในปศุสัตว์ และสัตว์ป่า นอกจากนั้น
ภายในพ้ืนท่ีของโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ฯ ยังมีสวนสุขภาพสัตว์เลี้ยง ท่ีเปิดให้เจ้าของสัตว์ได้นาสัตว์เล้ียงมาใช้
ออกกาลังกาย และใช้บริการด้านตา่ งๆ ในการสง่ เสริมสุขภาพทั้งคนและสตั วเ์ ล้ยี ง

Historical Development

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kamphaeng Saen (F VM KPS) campus was
established as part of Kasetsart University’s policies to extend education opportunities
into a rural area. The teaching of veterinary clinical study on the campus was started in
1979, initially with students on their fifth-and sixth-year, but later included fourth-year
students. Five academic departments were set up according to the area of work:
Department of Small Animal Medicine, Department of Farm Resources and Production
Medicine, Department of Large Animal and Wildlife Clinical Science, Department of
Veterinary Public Health and Department of Pathology, to provide students an
opportunity to earn experiences and skills in veterinary practice on livestock, wildlife,
aquatic and companion animals (then the Dean of the old Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine was Prof. Ramphueng Dissaman).

In addition, 5 supporting facilities including Demonstration and Research Farm
Unit, Veterinary Diagnostic Center, and 3 Veterinary Teaching Hospitals which located in
Kamphaeng Saen, Nongpho, and Hua Hin districts were founded to support veterinary
teaching and research, and also to provide veterinary services to the area surrounding
the campus. The supporting facilities operate under a good management system, and
are well equipped with modern medical instruments to provide high quality veterinary
services to improve health and welfare of animals, people and environment.

Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Kamphaeng Saen (on KU KPS) which has
been established for over 25 years is for students teaching and learning and providing
animal treatment services to people in the western region. The animal treatment
services are divided for pets, large animals, wild animals and horses. This animal
hospital operates under the vision to become a "referral animal hospital in the western
region".

Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Nongpho is a collaboration between the
F VM, KPS with Nong Pho Dairy Cow Cooperative to provide treatment and advice on
dairy cows health. This animal hospital is located in Soi Baan Nong Ri, Moo 8, Ban
Lueak Subdistrict, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province. It was opened for service for
the first time in August 1980. Later the Nong Pho Dairy Cow Cooperative provided
assistance to provide additional land to support its expansion. Currently, it has

therefore a total area of approximately 17 rai. (6.8 acre)

Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Hua Hin was born due to the modest
presenting of dog care work to His Majesty King Rama IX at Wang Klai Kangwon, Hua Hin
District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province since 1998. In order to do so effectively and to
benefit the people who herders in the upper South, it was established on an area of
approximately 102 rai (40.31 acre) in Suan Son Beach, supported by the Thai Army. Its
main missions are to provide academic services to the people of the upper South and
to support learning teaching and research of the F VM, KPS. In addition to the
aforementioned mission, it also aims to become a Veterinary Educational Hub in Asia.

This hospital establishment project was carried on in 2003. Then in July 2010,
it began to provide medical and surgical treatment services for pets, in-patient animals,
and critically ill and emergency animals, including livestock and wildlife. In addition,
this animal hospital has a pet health park that allows animal owners to take their pets
to exercise and to promote health for both people and their pets.

Educational Programs Offered

At present, students from year 4 to 6 must come to study at KU KPS where
F VM, KPS have departments to support teaching, research and academic services to
students and nearby communities in the central and western regions including other
communities across the country.

1. การชันสูตรโรคสัตว์ที่แม่นยา เช่น การค้นพบสมมุติฐานของไขห้ วัดนก โรคอหิวาต์แอฟริกา

2. การพัฒนาวัคซีนสาหรับป้องกันโรคสัตว์ในสุกร เช่น PRRS, PED, streptococcus ในสุกร
และในปลา Inclusion body Hepatitis ในไก่

3. การให้คาปรึกษาด้านการเลี้ยง การรกั ษา และป้องกันโรคในสัตว์เลี้ยง ปศุสัตว์ และสัตว์ป่า
ตัวอย่างเช่น โปรแกรมหมอหมูเกษตรศาสตร์ (Pig LIVE Kasetsart Programme) โครงการน้าเชื้อช้าง
แช่เย็น แช่ แข็งแล ะก ารผ ส ม เที ย ม ใน ช้ างไท ย (chilled and frozen semen and artificial
insemination in Thai elephant) โครงการลดต้นทุนและปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพการเลี้ยงโคนมด้วยวิธี
ที่ปฏิบัติได้และเห็นผลจริง (cost reduction and improve efficiency in raising dairy cows with
good management practice in reality) และการผ่าตัดแก้ไขภาวะนิ่วในช้างเป็นคร้ังแรกของโลก

Outstanding Achievements of Pride
By the mission of the veterinary team Kamphaeng Saen Campus, personnel

and students under the leadership of the management have created many valuable
innovations to the veterinary community as follows:

1. Precise autopsy of animal diseases such as the hypothesis of avian
influenza. African horse cholera for the first time in Thailand.

2. Development of vaccines against animal diseases in pigs such as PRRS, PED,
streptococcus in pigs and fish, Inclusion body Hepatitis in chickens.

3. Counseling on rearing, treatment and prevention of disease in domestic
animals, livestock and wildlife, for example, Kasetsart Pig Doctor Program (Pig LIVE
Kasetsart Programme), Chilled Elephant Semen Project Frozen and artificial
insemination in Thai elephants (chilled and frozen semen and artificial insemination in
Thai elephant) project to reduce costs and improve dairy efficiency in a practical and
effective way (cost reduction and improve efficiency in raising dairy cows with good
management practice in reality) and the world's first surgery to correct gallstones in
elephants.

พัฒนาการและความเปน็ มา
คณะประมง มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ริเร่ิมจัดต้ังขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2522

พร้อมกับการจัดตง้ั วทิ ยาเขตกาแพงแสน มีพ้นื ที่ประมาณ 100 ไร่ ทางทศิ ตะวนั ออกเฉยี งเหนือของวทิ ยา
เขต ในระยะแรกไม่สามารถเปิดดาเนินการได้เนื่องจากขาดแคลนน้าประกอบกับพื้นที่เป็นดินเค็มจัด
ต่อมาทางมหาวิทยาลัยได้จัดให้มีระบบชลประทาน เพ่ือนาน้าจืดเข้ามาสนับสนุนการดาเนินกิจกรรม
การเรียนการสอน และงานวิจัยของวทิ ยาเขต จนถึงปี พ.ศ. 2533 วิทยาเขต ได้มหี นังสอื สอบถามมาทาง
คณะประมงเพื่อให้เข้ามาดาเนินกิจกรรมที่วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ทางคณ ะประมงซ่ึงมี
ศ.สุภาพ มงคลประสิทธิ์ เป็นคณบดีในขณะน้ัน ได้มอบหมายให้ภาควิชาเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้าซึ่งมี
รศ. ดร.ยนต์ มุสิก เป็นหวั หน้าภาควิชา ประสานกับทางวิทยาเขต จนถึงวันท่ี 17 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2534
จึงจัดตั้ง “สถานปฏิบัติการเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ากาแพงแสน” สังกัดภาควิชาเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้า โดยมี
วัตถุประสงค์เพ่ือเป็นสถานีฝึกงานทางด้านการประมงน้าจืดของนิสิตคณะประมง และบริการวิชาการ
ด้านประมงแก่เกษตรกรและผู้สนใจทอ่ี าศัยอยู่ในเขตพ้ืนที่ภาคตะวันตก ต่อมาได้เปล่ียนช่ือเป็น “สถานี
วิจัยประมงกาแพงแสน” เมื่อวันที่ 1 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2544 และย้ายมาสังกัดศูนย์บริหารงานวิจัยและ
สนับสนุนวิชาการตามการปรบั โครสร้างของคณะประมง เม่ือวันท่ี 3 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2561

หลักสตู รและการเรยี นการสอน
คณะประมงได้ขยายการศกึ ษาในระดับปริญญาตรีมายังมหาวทิ ยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขต

กาแพงแสน โดยใช้พื้นที่ของสถานีวิจัยประมงกาแพงแสน สาหรับการเรียนการสอนในหลักสูตร วท.บ.
(ประมง) สาขาการเพาะเล้ียงสัตว์น้า โดยในปีการศึกษา 2544 เป็นปีแรกที่รบั นิสติ ชั้นปี 1 เข้าศึกษาใน
หลักสูตรดังกล่าว

Historical Development

Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus with area of
100 rai ( 39.52 acre) at the northeast of KU KPS was established simultaneously with KU
KPS in 1979. However, there was no activity at the beginning due to no water supply and
high salinity of soil. The university managed to construct irrigation system to support
more activities of the campus. Until 1990, the then Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries (Prof.
Supap Mongkolprasit) asked head of Aquaculture Department ( Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yont
Musig) to coordinate with KU KPS to create fisheries relevant activities. Later Freshwater
Aquaculture Operation Center under the Aquaculture Department was then
established in 17 May 1991 with objectives to be an internship venue for students of the
Faculty of Fisheries and to disseminate fisheries knowledge to farmers especially those
who living in the western areas of the country.

Later the Freshwater Aquaculture Operation Center was renamed as
Kamphaengsaen Fisheries Research Station on October 1, 2001 and moved to be
under the Research Management Academic Supports Center on August 3, 2018 onwards.

Educational Programs Offered
An educational program offered by the Faculty of Fisheries at the Kamphaeng

Saen Fisheries Research Station is Bachelor of Science (Fisheries) in Aquaculture which
has begun learning and instruction of its 1st year students since academic year 2001.

พัฒนำกำรและควำมเป็นมำ

มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยา
เขตกาแพงแสน ถือเป็นวิทยาเขตแห่งแรก
ของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ท่ีมีประวัติ
ความเป็นมายาวนานกว่า 4 ทศวรรษ เม่ือ
เร่ิมมีการบริหารจัดการที่กาแพงแสนพรอ้ ม ๆ
กับการเปิดการเรียนการสอน ในปี พ.ศ.
2522 (อันเป็นการส้ินสดุ โครงการก่อต้ังมหาวทิ ยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วทิ ยาเขตกาแพงแสนแห่งน้ี ที่ได้เริ่ม
ดาเนินการมาตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2510) การบริหารจัดการ ณ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ถือเป็นความท้าทายและ
ยากลาบากอย่างมาก อาจารย์ปริญญา แย้มศิริ ในขณะนั้นได้ทาหน้าที่เป็นหัวหน้างานธุรการคนแรก ศ.
ดร.วัฒนา เสถียรสวัสด์ิ ดารงตาแหน่งรองอธิการบดี กาแพงแสน ได้รวบรวมบุคลากรท่ีสมัครใจมา
ทางาน ในดา้ นการบริหารงานท่ัวไป ในระยะเริ่มแรกน้ี การบริหารจดั การอยู่ในระดับงาน ประกอบด้วย
งานส่วนกลาง งานคลัง งานแผนงาน งานกิจการนิสิต งานบริการการศึกษา และงานการเจ้าหน้าที่ โดย
เป็นหนว่ ยงานในสงั กัดสานักงานอธกิ ารบดี ทบ่ี างเขน

เม่ือวันที่ 6 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2532 ได้แบ่งส่วนราชการ ตามข้อเสนอของสานักงาน ก.พ. และ
สานักงบประมาณ ให้จัดตั้ง กองธุรการ (กาแพงแสน) และ กองบริการการศึกษา (กาแพงแสน) เป็น
หน่วยงานในสังกัดสานักงานอธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ โดยทบวงมหาวิทยาลัย ได้ประกาศ
จัดตั้งส่วนราชการเพิ่มใหม่ ตามประกาศทบวงมหาวิทยาลัย เร่ืองการแบ่งส่วนราชการในมหาวิทยาลัย
เกษตรศาสตร์ (ฉบบั ท่ี 10) พ.ศ. 2533 และไดม้ ีการประกาศในราชกจิ จานุเบกษา เล่มท่ี 107 ตอนท่ี 26
ลงวนั ท่ี 15 กุมภาพนั ธ์ พ.ศ. 2533 ดงั น้ี

สถาบัน สานัก ศูนย์หรอื หน่วยงานทเ่ี รยี กชื่ออย่างอื่น ทม่ี ฐี านะเทียบเทา่ คณะ ตัง้ แต่สองส่วนราชการขึ้น
ไป ตั้งอยู่ในเขตน้ัน ตามที่สภามหาวิทยาลัยกาหนด ต่อมาได้มีประกาศสภามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์
ประกาศ ณ วันที่ 16 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2542 กาหนด “เขตกำรศึกษำกำแพงแสน” เป็น “วิทยำเขต
กำแพงแสน” ถอื เป็นวิทยาเขตแหง่ แรกของมหาวิทยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์

Historical Development
For over four decades, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus (KU KPS)

has started the mission of learning and instruction since November 12, 1979 (after the
end of the preparing phase of the establishment project, Kasetsart University,
Kamphaeng Saen Campus has operated in operation since 1967). Then, the central
administration, Finance Sub-division, Planning Sub-division, Student Affairs Sub-division,
Educational Services Sub-division, and Personnel Sub-division which were parts of the
President’s Office of Kasetsart University, Bangkhen (KU BKN) was carried on under
supervision and direction by Lecturer Parinya Yaemsiri and under the overall
administration by Prof. Dr. Watthana Satiansawat, the first KU KPS Vice-president.

Until January 6, 1989; Two KU KPS sub-divisions for general administrative affairs
and educational services were formed in practice. Later, were officially established as
General Administrative Affairs Division (Kamphaeng Saen), or GAAD KPS and Educational
Services Division (Kamphaeng Saen), or ESD KPS and under still the Rector’s Office of KU
BKN according to the announcement in the Royal Thai Government Gazette, volume
107, section 26, dated February 15, 1990 as follows:

1. General Administrative Affairs Division (Kamphaeng Saen), or GAAD
KPS was composed of General Administration Sub-division, Personnel Sub-division,
Finance Sub-division, Building Sub-division, Vehicle and Machinery Services Sub-division
and Landscape and Ornamental Plants Sub-division.

2. Educational Services Division (Kamphaeng Saen), or ESD KPS was
composed of General Administration Sub-division, Planning Sub-division, Educational
Services Sub-division and Student and Welfare Affairs Sub-division.

กำรจัดต้ังสำนกั งำนวทิ ยำเขตกำแพงแสน
ตามมาตรา 25 ของพระราชบัญญัติมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ พ.ศ. 2541 กาหนดไว้ว่า “ใน

วิทยาเขตหน่ึง ให้มีสานักงานวิทยาเขต โดยมีรองอธิการบดีคนหนึ่ง เป็นผู้บังคับบัญชารับผิดชอบของ
วิทยาเขตนั้น แทนอธิการบดีตามท่ีได้รับมอบหมาย......” วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสนจึงขอเสนอจัดต้ัง
สานักงานวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน และสภามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ในการประชุมคร้ังที่ 1/2545 เม่ือ
วันที่ 28 มกราคม 2545 มีมติอนุมัติให้จัดตั้งสานักงานวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ต้ังแต่วันที่ 12 กุมภาพันธ์
พ.ศ. 2545 เป็นต้นมา เพ่ือทาหน้าท่ีเป็นหน่วยประสานงานกลางในการบริหารและการจัดการด้านการ
เรียนการสอน มีการแบ่งส่วนราชการ ออกเป็น 2 กอง คือ กองธุรการ (กาแพงแสน) และกองบริการ
การศึกษา (กาแพงแสน)

ตั้งแต่จัดตั้งกองธุรการ (กาแพงแสน) และกองบริการการศึกษา (กาแพงแสน) จนถึงปัจจุบัน

มหาวิทยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน มีการขยายและปรบั ภาระงานเพ่ิมมากข้ึน จึงมีความ

3. วันท่ี 21 ตุลำคม พ.ศ. 2552 ยกฐานะงานเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ในสังกัดกองบริการ
การศึกษา (กาแพงแสน) เป็น “ศูนย์สารสนเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน”
มสี ถานภาพเทียบเท่ากอง สานักงานวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน

กาแพงแสน เป็นหนว่ ยงานสังกดั ทรัพย์สินและสิทธิประโยชน์ กองธุรการ (กาแพงแสน) สานักงานวิทยา

5. วันท่ี 10 สิงหำคม พ.ศ. 2554 จดั ตัง้ ศูนย์วจิ ัยและพัฒนามาตรฐานสนิ ค้าเกษตร เป็นศูนย์

Establishment of Kamphaeng Saen Campus Office (KPS CO)
According to the Kasetsart University Council announcement, Kamphaeng Saen

Campus was officially the first campus of KU in compliance with the KU Act B.E. 2541
(1998). Later, following KU Council meeting no; 1/ 2002, dated January 28, 2002; KPS CO
was officially founded from February 12, 2002 onwards by virtue of Section 25 of the KU
Act B.E. 2541 (1998) and consisted of the General Administrative Affairs Division
(Kamphaeng Saen), or GAAD KPS and the Educational Services Division (Kamphaeng
Saen), or ESD KPS.

The KPS CO Restructuring
Since the establishment in 2002, the KPS CO has been restructured and / or

improved following the resolutions by the KU Council meetings for seven times so far as
follows:

1. Restructuring on April 23, 2004 : The Sports Unit under the Student Affairs
and Welfare Services Subdivision in the ESD KPS was officially upgraded as Sports Center
for Kamphaeng Saen (SC KPS) equivalent to a new division under the KPS CO.

2. Restructuring on June 6, 2005 : Two new divisions consisting of Student
Affairs Division (Kamphaeng Saen), or SAD KPS which was upgraded from The Student
Affairs and Welfare Services Subdivision in the ESD.KPS and Building, Place & Vehicle
Services Division (Kamphaeng Saen) were added under the KPS CO.

3. Restructuring on October 21, 2009 : The Information Technology
Subdivision in the ESD KPS was officially upgraded as Information Technology Center for
Kamphaeng Saen (ITC KPS) equivalent to a new division under the KPS CO.

4. Restructuring on December 30, 2009 : The KU KPS Book Center was officially
included under Properties and Benefits Subdivision in the GAAD KPS without any official
status and internal structure.

5. Restructuring on August 10, 2011 : The specialized Research and
Development Center for Agricultural Product Standards was also officially included under
the KPS CO without any official status and internal structure to support the KU KPS in

the cooperation of research and development of agricultural product standards with the
National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS).

6. Restructuring on October 10, 2014 : The KPS CO formerly consisting of four
divisions and two centers, was restructured to contain four divisions : General
Administration Division (renamed from the GAAD KPS), Academic and Student
Administration Division (renamed from the ESD KPS), Research Administration and
Academic Services Division, and Central Services Division.

7. Restructuring on December 25, 2019(the Present) : The KPS CO consisting
of four divisions was restructured to contain six divisions : General Administration Division,
Educational Administration Division, Research Administration and Academic Services
Division, Central Services Division, Student Affairs Administration Division, and Properties
Administration Division. Thus, two last divisions were upgraded from a subdivision in the
General Administration Division and the Academic and Student Administration Division
respectively.

Historical Development
The Office of Extension and Training at Kamphaeng Saen is formerly known as

the National Agricultural Extension and Training Center which was founded on KU
KPS by The Office of Extension and Training of KU (OET KU) at Bangkhen (when Assoc.
Prof. Phorn Suwanvajokkasikij was the Director) with the Grant Aid by the Japanese
Government of about 166 million baht.

Thus, its construction, consisting of the administrative building, educational
media building printing house, training building, cafeteria building and 4 dormitory
buildings, started from October 1978 and completed in June 1981 with missions and
roles in applying knowledge and technology of Kasetsart University to be promoted and
disseminated among farmers for self-development and careers.

In 2005, KU Council approved the establishment of the Office of Extension
and Training at Kamphaeng Saen (OET KPS) as a working unit equivalent to a faculty
consisting of 8 departments: Management and Administration, Promotion and
Dissemination, Training, Printing, Media Development, Marketing Communication,
Education and Research and Development.

Furthermore, December 16 of every year was scheduled as the founding date
of the OET KPS with the approval from the meeting of the Council of Kasetsart University
No. 17/2551 on December 15, 2008.

In 2009, the OET KPS requested the approval of its own restructuring from 8
into 5 departments: Secretariat Office, Extension and Training Division, Extension Media

Division, Marketing Communication Division, Education Research and Development
Division and the meeting of the KU Council No. 9/2552 on 28th September 2009 granted
the approval.
