The performance of KU KPS development in the 4th decade is summarized
as follows:

4.1 Development of Buildings, Landscape and Environment
4.1.1 On 4 th August, 2000, a garden which was developed and named

“1 0 0 - year Garden” in celebration of 1 0 0 th Birthday Anniversary of H.R.H Princess
Srinagarindra, the King Rama IX’s mother was officially opened.

4.1.2 On November 12, 2001; 2 on-campus main roads of Xujati Kambhu
and Watthana Sathiensawat, KU KPS Archive and a statue monument to M.L. Xujati
Kambhu, the KU KPS founder were officially opened.

4.1.3 KU KPS Development of Buildings, Landscape and Environment
Projects from 2002 to 2005 included the development of small clustered gardens in
front of the campus (Malaimaen Gate) and Fueng Fah Road from the gate entering
inside (2002), planting, repairing and modifying the Chomphu Phanthip Road from the
Irrigation Gate to the Tropical Vegetable Research and Development Center (2003),
cleaning and refurbishing all roads around the campus along a distance of
approximately 16 kilometers to ensure safety for students, personnel, and to create
beauty and convenience for general traffic and ecotourism (2003); developing beauty
and order at the edge of Baw 1 (Reservoir 1), draining the canal around the campus
with cooperation and assistance from the Royal Irrigation Department (2003 - 2005), the
dredging Baw 5 (Reservoir 5 in front of the campus) and the soil obtained from the
excavation brought to form a mound to decorate the area with some help of tools and
budget from the Royal Irrigation Department (2004 - 2005)

4.1.4 Again on 1st October, 2003, H.E. Mr. Amphol Senanarong, a Privy
Council member and the KU Council President came to officially open the Insect
Dome in Honor of His Majesty King Rama IX.

4.1.5 In 2003, the paddy-seed-shape national flag pole of KU KPS which
was 24 meters high, made of 12-C stainless steel and designed by Assistant Professor
Thongpan Poonsuwan was installed in front of the Xujati Kambhu building.

4.1.6 On November 12, 2003, the KU KPS Foundation Day, Assoc. Prof.
Dr. Viroch Impitaksa, the then KU President came to chair the opening ceremony of KU
KPS Hall of History.

4.1.7 KU KPS Golf Course was renovated in 2004 by adding 3 more holes
together with improving rough and fairways, old greens (6 holes) and some swamps
and bridges with financial support by private sectors.

4.1.8 KU KPS Central Canteen was renovated in 2004 by heightening the
roof, enlarging the dining area to be more spacious and separating the restaurant
operators from the dining seats.

4.1.9 KU KPS Historical Plate which was made in 2004 and placed on the
ground between the national flag pole and the Xujati Kambhu Administrative Building
was officially opened in 2006.

4.1.10 The Learning Building of KU KPS which has been constructed on
the front of campus in 2005 consists of the main and minor buildings. In the main
building, there are two stories including several rooms for multi-purpose uses. Between
the main and minor buildings, there are a small area for an audience and a stage for
the show. In the minor building, there are food and souvenir shops.

4.2.2 วันท่ี 29 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2542 สภามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ประกาศจัดตั้ง
ศูนยเ์ ทคโนโลยีชีวภาพเกษตร เป็นหนว่ ยงานภายใน

4.2.3 วันที่ 8 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2543 ดร.ฮาร์โนลโด อาเลมาน ลาคาโญ ประธานาธิบดี
แหง่ สาธารณรฐั นิการากวั และคณะเยีย่ มชมวทิ ยาเขตกาแพงแสน

4.2.4 มีนโยบายให้จัดงานวันเกษตร กาแพงแสน เปน็ ประจาทุกปี ตัง้ แต่ ปี พ.ศ. 2545
เป็นต้นมา เน่ืองจากในปีที่ผ่าน ๆ มา มีการจัดงานน้ี แต่ก็เว้นช่วงไปบ้าง และในปี พ.ศ. 2545 น้ัน
คณะกรรมการประจาวิทยาเขตเห็นสมควรว่า วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสนมีความพร้อมในทุก ๆ ด้าน ทั้ง
บุคลากร สถานท่ี นิสิต และวิชาการ จึงกาหนดเป็นนโยบายของวิทยาเขตให้มีการจัดงานนี้ในช่วงวันที่
3- 10 ธันวาคม ของทกุ ปี

ตอ่ มา มีการปรับเปลี่ยนชว่ งวันจัดงานตามความเหมาะสม จนถึงปัจจุบัน มีการจัดงาน
อย่างต่อเนื่องในช่วงวันที่ 1 – 10 ธันวาคม ของทุกปี และมีนโยบายให้มีการจัดประชุมทางวิชาการใน
สาขาวิชาท่ีเก่ียวข้อง เสนอผลงานทางวิชาการในสาขา พืช สัตว์และสังคมศาสตร์ ในช่วงวันที่ 4-6
ธนั วาคม ปี พ.ศ. 2545 และมีการพัฒนาการดาเนนิ งานและกิจกรรมมาจนถงึ ปจั จุบัน

4.2.5 จัดต้ังศูนย์กีฬามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์
วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน สังกัดสานักงานวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน
เพื่อทาหน้าท่ีดูแลและดาเนินกิจการด้านกีฬาตามนโยบายของ
วิทยาเขต (พ.ศ. 2545)

4.2.6 การจัดงาน 25 ปี มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขต
กาแพงแสน ในปี พ.ศ. 2547

4.2.7 ปรับปรุงและแก้ไขผังบริเวณของวิทยาเขตให้เหมาะสม
และชัดเจนกับความเปล่ียนแปลงที่เกิดข้ึน (พ.ศ. 2547) รวมทั้งเกิดความเข้าใจท่ีตรงกันของหน่วยงาน
และบคุ ลากรของวิทยาเขต

4.2.8 ดัดแปลงและพัฒนารถยนต์ จากเครื่องรถยนต์เก่า จานวน 2 คัน ใช้น้ามัน
ไบโอดีเซล (พ.ศ. 2548) เป็นร่นุ แรก และใช้สัญจรอยู่ภายในวทิ ยาเขตเพอื่ รองรับนสิ ิตและบคุ ลากร

4.2.9 วนั ที่ 29 กนั ยายน พ.ศ. 2549 ยกฐานะสถาบนั วิจัยและพัฒนา กาแพงแสน ให้มี
สถานภาพเทยี บเท่าคณะ

4.2 Development of General Administration and Cooperation with Other
Agencies

4.2.1 On 3rd December, 1999 the 8th National Beef Fair was held again on
KPS campus and the Center for Demonstration of Comprehensive Beef Production was
founded.

4.2.2 On 29th December, 1999, according to KU Council’s
announcement, the Center of Agricultural Biological Technology was founded as
another internal work unit of KU KPS

4.2.3 On 8th April, 2000, Dr. José Arnoldo Alemán Lacayo, the then
President of the Republic of Nicaragua and his subordinates visited KU KPS

4.2.4 Since 2002, KU KPS executive board has launched a policy that the
KPS Agricultural Day Fair should be annually held during December 1 – 10 and during
December 4 – 6, an academic meeting on agricultural sciences and social sciences
should also be organized.

4.2.5 In 2002, KU KPS Sports Center under the Office of KU KPS Campus
was set up to be responsible for the sports affairs.

4.2.6 The 25th Foundation Anniversary of KU KPS was celebrated in 2004.
4.2.7 KU KPS campus town plan was revised in 2004 to be up-to-date
and for a consistent understanding among departments and staff of the campus.
4.2.8 In 2005, 2 shuttle buses using bio-diesel were made from old
engines for on-campus shuttle services for KU KPS students and staff.
4.2.9 On September 29, 2006, KU KPS Research and Development
Institute was officially elevated equivalent to the faculty status.

4.3 การพฒั นาด้านการเรียนการสอน การวิจัย และบริการวิชาการ
4.3.1 ปี พ.ศ. 2540 เคล่ือนย้ายนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 1 คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ หลักสูตร วศ.บ.

คณะประมง มหาวทิ ยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ และเปลีย่ นชอ่ื เป็นสถานวี จิ ยั ประมง กาแพงแสน

4.3.3 วันที่ 12 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2545 สภามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ประกาศจัดตั้ง
สานักงานวิทยาเขต เป็นหนว่ ยงานภายในมหาวทิ ยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วทิ ยาเขตกาแพงแสน

4.3.4 ในปี พ.ศ. 2546 มีนโยบายให้จัดทาวารสารทางวิชาการภายใต้การกากับดูแล
ของวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน โดยจัดทาเป็นวารสารอเิ ล็กทรอนกิ ส์ (e-journal) ใชช้ ือ่ วา่ วารสารกาแพงแสน
เพื่อรองรับการตีพิมพ์ผลงานทางวิชาการที่ครอบคลุมทุกด้านในระดับชาติ และได้มอบหมายให้
สถาบนั วิจยั และพฒั นากาแพงแสน เป็นผดู้ าเนนิ การ

4.3.5 วนั ที่ 18 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2546 จัดตั้งคณะเกษตร กาแพงแสน

4.3.11 วนั ที่ 22 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2548 จัดต้งั สานกั สง่ เสริมและฝึกอบรม กาแพงแสน
4.3.12 จัดทาโครงการวิจัยสถาบัน เร่ือง การวิจัยและพัฒนาแบบบูรณาการพลังงาน
ชวี ภาพ และพลงั งานแสงอาทติ ย์ (พ.ศ. 2549-2550)
4.3.13 จัดทาโครงการวิจัยสถาบันเร่ือง โครงการวิจัยและการศึกษาประเมินศักยภาพ
เพื่อการวิจัยและพัฒนาทรัพยากรชีวภาพ เชิงเกษตรนิเวศวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน สาหรับการเรียนรู้และ
ท่องเที่ยว (พ.ศ. 2549-2550) มีรายงานผลการดาเนินงาน 2 เล่ม สมุดภาพ unseen KPS (sweet
land) ท่องเท่ียวเกษตรกาแพงแสน (agrotourism) พันธ์ุไม้ประจาจังหวัดและประจาสถาบันการศึกษา
และสวนพฤกษศาสตร์ (พรรณไม้ที่น่าสนใจ) มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน อยา่ งละ
1 เล่ม

4.3 Development of Learning and Instruction, Research and Academic
Services

4.3.1 In academic year 1997, the 1st year students in the B.Eng. in
agricultural, food, and irrigation engineering, Faculty of Engineering and the 4th year
students, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine were moved to KPS.

4.3.2 On October 1st, 2001, the Aquaculture Laboratory Station under
the Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries was transferred to be under the
Academic Support Division, Faculty of Fisheries and renamed as KPS Fisheries Research
Station.

4.3.3 On February 12th, 2002, according to KU Council announcement,
Office of KPS Campus was set up.

4.3.4 The policy to publish an academic e-journal named “Journal of
Kamphaeng Saen “ for national academic publication in all fields under supervision
and management by KU KPS Research and Development Institute.

4.3.5 On March 18th, 2003, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen was
officially established.

4.3.6 On April 22nd, 2003, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen was
officially established.

4.3.7 On November 23rd, 2004, Faculty of Education at Kamphaeng Saen
was officially established.

4.3.8 Since 2005, the Student Exchange Program between KU-TUA
(Tokyo University of Agriculture) has been transferred to be run by KU KPS

4.3.9 On February 25, 2005, according to KU Council announcement, KPS
Central Library was founded equivalent to the faculty status.

4.3.10 On March 24, 2005, according to KU Council announcement,
Faculty of Sports Science was officially founded.

4.3.11 On April 22, 2 0 0 5 , Office of National Agricultural Extension and
Training at Kamphaeng Saen was officially founded.

4.3.12 An action research project on “Integrated Research and
Development of Bio and Solar Energies” was undertaken in 2006 – 2007.

4.3.13 Another action research project undertaken in 2006 – 2007 on
“Feasibility Study of Agrotourism at KU KPS revealed 2 research reports. Moreover, 3
photo books consisted of Unseen KU KPS (sweet land), KU KPS Agrotourism, Symbolic
Provincial and Institutional Tree and KU KPS botanical garden were published.

4.4 การทานบุ ารุงศลิ ปวฒั นธรรม และการกฬี า
4.4.1 จัดงานประเพณีปลูกข้าววันแม่ เก็บเก่ียววันพ่อ ณ บริเวณแปลงปลูกข้าวของ

วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน (ทุ่งนาไพร) โดยดาเนินการปลูกวันท่ี 12 สิงหาคม และเก็บเก่ียวในวันที่ 5
ธนั วาคม และกาหนดเปน็ นโยบายของวิทยาเขต ตงั้ แต่ปี พ.ศ. 2545 เป็นต้นมา

4.4.2 วันที่ 12 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2545 จัดงานวันสถาปนา วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน
ในงานน้ีได้ประกอบพิธีวางพวงมาลา เพ่ือสักการะ หม่อมหลวงชูชาติ กาภู ณ ห้องเกียรติยศ วิทยาเขต
กาแพงแสน และกาหนดเปน็ นโยบายให้ดาเนินการเปน็ ประจาทกุ ปี

4.4.3 การจัดประเพณีสงกรานต์ภายในวิทยาเขต มกี จิ กรรมร่ืนเริง และประกวดการก่อ
พระเจดีย์ทรายของบุคลากรหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ของวิทยาเขตเข้าร่วมงานกันอย่างพร้อมเพรียง โดย
กาหนดเป็นนโยบายของวทิ ยาเขตตงั้ แต่ พ.ศ. 2546 เปน็ ต้นมา

4.4.4 การทอดกฐิน ณ วัดที่อยู่รอบ ๆ วิทยาเขต กาหนดเป็นนโยบายของวิทยาเขตให้
เป็นเจ้าภาพทอดกฐินในช่วงวัน เวลาที่เหมาะสม และนาองค์กฐินไปมอบยังวัดเป้าหมาย (เริ่มตั้งแต่ ปี
พ.ศ. 2546 เป็นตน้ มา)

4.4.5 การหล่อเทียนและแห่เทียนเข้าพรรษา กาหนดเป็นนโยบายของวิทยาเขตให้มี
การดาเนนิ งานน้ีเป็นประจาทุกปี ตัง้ แต่ ปี พ.ศ. 2545 เปน็ ตน้ มา

4.4.6 เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขันกีฬาบุคลากร ทบวงมหาวิทยาลัยคร้ังที่ 22
“เกษตรศาสตรเ์ กมส์” (วนั ที่ 4-10 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2546)

4.4 Preservation of Arts, Culture and Sports
4.4.1 The KU KPS tradition of planting rice on Mother's Day and

harvesting on Father's day at Thung Naprai Paddy Field has been done on August 12
and December 5 since 2002.

4.4.2 On November 12, 2002 regarded as KU KPS Foundation Day, the
ceremony to pay respect to the statue monument of M.L. Xujati Kambhu, the founder
was held and it is always held every year since then.

4.4.3 In the KU KPS tradition of Songkran Day Festival (or Thai New Year)
which has begun since 2003, there will be various festive activities and the sand
pagoda formation contest among personnel and various departments of the campus
joined together in unison.

4.4.4 In terms of the tradition of the gift of the Kathina Robe which has
also begun since 2003, KU KPS has a policy to host the gift at the appropriate time
(after the Buddhist Lent) and temple in neighborhood each year.

4.4.5 The KU KPS tradition of Buddhist Lent Candle Casting and
Procession has been preserved annually since 2002 to the present. Every year on the
day before the period of the Buddhist Lent, KU KPS organizes a parade to bring to the
Buddhist Lent Candles to a selected temple in the neighborhood.

4.4.6 KU KPS was honored to officially host a university personnel
sporting event of the 22nd Ministry of University Affairs named "Kasetsart Games" during
May 4-10, 2003.

5 ทศวรรษที่ 5 แผไ่ พศาล วิชาการก้าวไกล (พ.ศ. 2550 - 2559)
ทศวรรษที่ 5 (พ.ศ. 2550 - 2559) มีการขับเคลื่อนและบริหารจัดการโดยรองอธิการบดี

งานการเรียนการสอน งานวิจัย งานบริการวิชาการ โดยมีผลงานท่โี ดดเด่น อาทิ การสร้างสวนสาธารณะ
เฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา การจัดประชุมวิชาการดินและปุ๋ยแห่งชาติ การเป็นเจ้าภาพกีฬา
มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งประเทศไทย (นนทรีเกมส์ คร้ังที่ 42) การดาเนินงานโครงการ 9 บวร การจัดงาน
เทศกาลชมพูพันธุ์ทิพย์ ที่ทาให้ผู้คนทั้งประเทศและท้ังโลกรู้จักมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขต
กาแพงแสน ดยี ิ่งขึ้น

5. The 5th Decade: Phase of Academic Extension and Advancement (1997 –
2016)

The 5th decade (2007 - 2016) of KU KPS development was driven and
managed by 5 KU KPS Vice presidents as follows:

During the 5th decade, it was fulfilling the KU KPS development of landscapes,
buildings, academic works, learning and instruction and academic services. Outstanding
achievements include the Public Park in honor of the 80th Birthday Anniversary of King
Rama IX, the late; the 1st National Conference on Soil and Fertilizer (2009), the 42nd
Thailand University Games (Nonsi Games), the Implementation of the 9 Bhavara Project
of Integrated Community Development among Home, Temple and School and the
Chompu Pantip Festival that makes people across the country and the world know KU
KPS better.

พันธไ์ุ ม้จากสวนนงนชุ พทั ยา

5.1.2 การก่อสร้างอาคารศูนย์ปฏิบัติการนวัตกรรมทางเทคโนโลยี เร่ิมก่อสร้าง
ปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2554 แล้วเสร็จวันท่ี 23 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2563 โดยใช้งบประมาณแผ่นดินและเงิน
รายไดจ้ านวน 460 ล้านบาท

5.1.3 การสร้างอาคารศูนย์เรียนรวม 3 สร้างแล้วเสร็จเม่ือวันท่ี 2 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ.
2559 วงเงิน 134 ล้านบาท โดยใช้งบประมาณจากเงินรายไดข้ องวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน

The performance of KU KPS development in the 5th decade is summarized
as follows:

5.1 Development of Buildings, Landscape and Environment
5.1.1 KU KPS’s Public Park in honor of the 80th Birthday Anniversary of

King Rama IX, the late including a palm tree garden, a cactus, fern and color pineapple
garden, a workout garden of Physical Activity Innovation and Eco-adventure was
constructed and officially opened in 2007. All vegetations were kindly donated from
Nongnooch Garden Pattaya.

5.1.2 Construction of the Technological Innovation Laboratory Center
which had started in the fiscal year 2011, by using the national budget and income of

5.2 Development of General Administration and Cooperation with Other
Agencies

5.2.1 The 1st National Conference on Soil and Fertilizer (2009) was
organized on KU KPS under the cooperation among Soil and Fertilizer Society of
Thailand, Soil and Water Conservation Society of Thailand, and KU KPS

5.2.2 The 14th Thailand and Asian University Go Tournament, 2009 were
held at the Convention Hall, KU KPS University Center during October 19 – 21, 2009
under the cooperation between Go Society of Thailand and KU KPS

5.2.3 In the year of 2011, Suwanvajokkasikit Animal Research and
Development Institute with Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant
Conservation conducted research on economic benefits from Varanus salvator raising.

5.2.4 On March 1 1 , 2011, KU KPS and H.E. Shalom Simhon, Israeli
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Labor, were at the signing ceremony of academic
cooperation in the Agricultural Science Park for demonstration of agricultural plot using

high technology on an area of 111 rais (44.4 acres), as center for science and technology
transfer to Asian countries.

5.2.5 In 2011, KU KPS and Forestry Coordinating Center, Forest Resources
Management Office 10 (Ratchaburi), Royal Forest Department, Ministry of Natural
Resources and Environment together planted rubber trees on an area of 4 rais (1.6
acres) on campus in honor of His Majesty King Rama IX’s the 84th Birthday Anniversary.

5.4.1 On August 11, 2010 at the Thung Na Prai paddy field on campus,

a collaborative activity of rice planting “Plant on Mother’s Day and Harvest on Father’s
Day” was held.

5.4.2 KU KPS had honor to officially host the 42nd Thailand University
Games - Nonsi Games during January 15 – 24, 2015.

5.4.3 KU KPS was honored to host the 34th Kasetsart Games, a multi-
sports event among university personnel under Office of the Higher Education
Commission, during June 1 - 8, 2015. The official emblem of the 34th Kasetsart Games.

6.1 Development of Buildings, Landscape and Environment
6.1.1 Construction of the Lecture Hall Building IV by using the national

annual budget of 2015 - 2020 of 459 million baht was completed on April 28, 2020.
6.1.2 The Xujati Kambhu main road was renovated in 2020 by making 4

delaying mound lines 2.50 meter wide and 10.40 meter long and 2 delaying mound
lines 2.50 meter wide and 7.20 meter long to slow down the traffic speed of
motorcycles and cars Which helps reduce accidents caused by speed driving.

6.1.3 Construction of a bicycle road under the Rak Jakkrayan Road
Project with a distance of 10,859.50 meters was done by the national annual budget
2020 at an amount of 26,229,000 baht to support sports tourism (cycling, walking-
running for health).

6.3.1 The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic
cooperation, research and development and academic services between Faculty of
Education and Development Sciences and Institute of Academic Development (IAD)
was officially signed on May 9, 2019; at the IAD.

6.3.2 MOU on academic cooperation between National Institute of
Development Administration (NIDA) and KU was officially signed on May 23, 2019; at
the NIDA.

6.3.3 MOU on academic cooperation cordial relations between National
Changhua University of Education (from Taiwan) and KU was officially signed on July
25, 2019.

6.3.4 The feasibility study meeting for the foundation of Faculty of
Medicine (Doctor of Medicine) was held May 19, 2020; and among the participants,
there were Prof. Dr. Somkiat Watthanasirichai, President for Thailand Biomedical
Engineering Assoc. and Dr. Pornthep Pongtavikorn, Director of Baan Paew Hospital
(Public Organization).

6.3.5 In the 1st semester, academic year 2020, Faculty of Environment
began instruction of Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science and Technology) for
the first generation of 63 students.

6.3.6 In academic year 2020, KU KPS had to provide a full-system of on-
line instruction due to the terrible COVID-19 pandemic.

6.3.7 New Entrepreneurship Development to Fight against COVID-19
Pandemic Program which was run from August 2020 to September 2021 had been
aimed for training KU KPS students, staff and general public interested to become new
self-reliant startup entrepreneurs.

6.3.8 In 2020, the Community Learning for Sustainable Community
Project under the Bavara cooperation (Ban or Home, Wat or Temple and Rongrian or
school) was launched at Plak Mai Lai Subdistrict in Kamphaeng Saen District as a pilot
community.

การจัดกิจกรรมทางพุทธศาสนาเพ่ือน้อมระลึกถึงพระคุณ และคาสอนของพระพุทธเจ้า เป็นแนวทางใน
การดาเนินชีวติ และรว่ มสรา้ งสรรคส์ ังคมให้มีความผาสุก โดยเม่ือวันที่ 14 กมุ ภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2563 จดั พิธี
หล่อพระ “พระพุทธพิพิธธรรมวิสุทธ์ิ” เพ่ือเป็นพระพุทธรูปประจาพุทธอุทยานมหาวิทยาลัย
เกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ท้ังนี้ได้รับพระเมตตาจากสมเด็จพระอริยวงศาคตญาณ สมเด็จ
พระสงั ฆราชสกลมหาสงั ฆปรนิ ายก ประทานนามวา่ “พระพทุ ธพิพธิ ธรรมวิสุทธิ์”

6.4 Preservation of Arts and Culture
6.4.1 In celebration of the 40th Foundation Anniversary of KU KPS,

construction of the KU KPS Buddha Garden was done for students and staff to use as a
place for organizing various Buddhist activities to commemorate the grace and
teachings of the Buddha that guide human way of life. In addition, on February 14,
2020; the Annealing Ceremony was organized for the Buddha Statue of “Phra Buddha
Bibidha Dhamma Visuddhi”, which had been graciously and kindly named by the
current 20th Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, as the main Buddha Statue of the KU KPS
Buddha Garden.

6.5. ดา้ นการพฒั นากีฬา
6.5.1 วันที่ 9 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2563 จัดโครงการ KU KPS RUN FOR WHEELS

2020 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพ่ือจัดทาวีลแชร์สาหรับสุนัขพิการ ซ่ึงร่วมกับมูลนิธิ ศ. ดร.จักร พิชัยรณรงค์
สงคราม และรายได้ส่วนหน่ึงมอบให้กับมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน เพื่อบริหาร

was given for on-campus management of stray dogs.

KU KPS Prehistoric Archeology Exhibition and the Ancient

City of Kamphaeng Saen

สำนักพิพิธภัณฑ์และวัฒนธรรมกำรเกษตร มหำวิทยำลัยเกษตรศำสตร์ ได้สำรวจศึกษำข้อมูล
และจัดทำรำยงำนแหล่งข้อมูลแหล่งโบรำณคดีสมัยก่อนประวัติศำสตร์ และมอบเป็นของขวัญในวำระ
ครบรอบ 15 ปี วิทยำเขตกำแพงแสน เม่ือปี พ.ศ. 2537 โดยได้รับกำรสนับสนุนจำกโครงกำร
“รักเมืองไทยกับยำงสยำม”จำกกำรศึกษำค้นคว้ำทำให้ทรำบว่ำภำยในมหำวิทยำลัยเกษตรศำสตร์
วิทยำเขตกำแพงแสน เคยเป็นที่ตั้งถิ่นฐำนของมนุษย์สมัยกอ่ นประวัติศำสตรอ์ ำยุรำว 2,000 ปี มีกำรขุด
พบหลักฐำนท่ีมนุษย์โบรำณใช้เพื่อกำรอยู่อำศัย และพิธีกำร เช่น ใบหอกเหล็ก ลูกปัดหิน ลำยผ้ำทอ
โบรำณ โครงกระดกู และเศษภำชนะดนิ เผำ

Office of Agricultural Museum and Culture, Kasetsart University created this
exhibition under the support of the project “Love Thailand with Siamese Rubber” in
December 1994. Then, the prehistoric archeology exhibition was presented as a gift on
the 15th Foundation Anniversary of KU KPS According to archeological research, once
over 2,000 years before prehistoric era, KU KPS used to be a human settlement
because evidence that ancient humans used to live and use in those-days ceremonies
was found such as iron spear blades, stone beads, ancient weaving patterns, human
skeletons and pottery fragments. Some items of the antiques discovered are on display
in the KU KPS Hall of History.

The prehistoric archeology
sites found on KU KPS

1. ใบหอกเหล็กขนำดใหญ่ ยำว 45.5 ซม. กว้ำง 11 ซม. มี
บอ้ ง (socket) สวมด้ำมไม้ สภำพเดิมหักเป็น 3 ทอ่ น บนผิวเหล็กมี
สนมิ ประทบั รอยของผ้ำโบรำณ ท่ใี ชห้ ุ้มห่อตวั ใบหอก

A large steel spear with 45.5 cm length and 11
cm width was found with a socket for a wooden handle.
Its original condition was found as three broken pieces
and on its surface of steel, a rusty imprinting of ancient fabric covering the spear was
also found.

2. ลูกปัดเขี้ยวสัตว์ขนำดยำว 8 ซม. กวำ้ ง 3 ซม. พบในหลมุ ขุดคน้
A bead made from an animal fang with 8 cm length and
3 cm width was also found.

3. ลกู ปัดหนิ คำร์นีเลียน (carnelian) สสี ้ม และลกู ปดั
หินอำเกทลำยแถบ (banded agate) พบในหลมุ ศพของโครง
กระดูกหมำยเลข 1

Orange carnelian and the banded agate beads
found in the grave of the skeleton number 1.

4. หินบดยำหรือหนิ ลับ (polishing stone) พบจำกกำรขุดค้น
Polishing stones were also found in the excavation.

5. ลูกปัดหินอำเกท และคำร์นีเลียนจำกแหล่งโบรำณคดี
ดอนตำเพชรและปรำสำทเมืองสิงห์ จังหวัดกำญจนบุรี ซึ่งเช่ือว่ำน่ำจะ
อยู่ในสมัยเดียวกันกับแหล่งโบรำณคดีในมหำวิทยำลัยเกษตรศำสตร์
วทิ ยำเขตกำแพงแสน

The agate and carnelian beads from
archaeological sites of Don Ta Phet and Prasat Muang Sing
in Karnchanaburi province are believed that they were of
the same period as those found at the archaeological site on KU KPS

6. โครงกระดูกทง้ั 2 มีประเพณี กำรฝังศพแบบเดยี วกัน
คอื นอนหงำยเหยยี ดยำว หันศรี ษะไปทำงด้ำนทิศตะวนั ออก และมี
เครื่องใช้ของผู้ตำยฝังรวมอยู่ด้วย

Both skeletons had the same burial tradition in
which they were laid down on their backs and their
heads turned to the east. It was also found that their
personal appliances of the deads were also buried.

7. สภำพหลุมขุดค้น ณ แหล่งโบรำณคดีก่อน

The excavation condition at the prehistoric
archeology site at KU KPS was about 50 cm depth
in the ground where the skeleton number 1 and number 2 were located on the left
hand side of the image.

8. เครอื่ งมือเหล็กพบในบริเวณใกล้หลมุ ขุดคน้
A steel tool was found in the vicinity of the excavation.

9. ใบหอกเหล็กขนำดยำว 15.5 ซม. กว้ำง 3.5 ซม. มีแกนสวมปลำยไม้ ส่วนปลำยแหลมหัก
หำยไป สภำพเดิมพบหักเป็น 3 ท่อน บนผิวมีสนิม
ประทบั รอยผ้ำโบรำณอยู่ดว้ ย

A steel spear with 15.5 cm length and
3.5 cm width with a dowel for wooden handle
and without its tip was found. Originally it was
found as three broken pieces and on its surface, the rust imprinted by the ancient
cloth was also found.

10. เมืองโบราณกาแพงแสน
เมืองโบรำณกำแพงแสน เป็นที่ตั้งของชุมชนโบรำณสมัย
ทวำรำวดี อยู่ในเขตอำเภอกำแพงแสน จังหวัดนครปฐม มีอำยุใน
รำวพุทธศตวรรษที่ 11 - 16 สมยั เดียวกับเมืองโบรำณเมืองอ่ืน ๆ ท่ี
อยู่ในละแวกใกล้เคียง เช่น เมืองโบรำณ นครปฐม อู่ทอง จังหวัด
สุพรรณบุรี คบู ัว จงั หวัดรำชบุรี
นอกจำกนี้ในบริเวณมหำวทิ ยำลยั เกษตรศำสตร์ วิทยำเขต
กำแพงแสน ยังมีหลักฐำนกำรตั้งถ่ินฐำนของมนุษย์สมัยก่อน
ประวัติศำสตร์ อำยุรำว 2,000 ปี มำแล้วอีกด้วย (ขุดต้นปี พ.ศ.
2534) โบรำณวัตถุที่พบท่ีนี่คล้ำยคลึงกับท่ีพบในแหล่งโบรำณคดี

10. Ancient City of Kamphaeng Saen
The Ancient City of Kamphaeng Saen was an ancient community of Dvaravati
period located in Kamphaeng Saen district, Nakhon Pathom province. This ancient city
lasted from the 11th to 16th centuries in the same period as those ancient cities in
neighboring provinces such as Nakhon Pathom ancient city in Nakhon Pathom, U Thong
ancient city in Suphan Buri, and Kubua ancient city in Ratchaburi.
The artifacts found here are similar to those found in the archaeological sites
in neighboring provinces including sites at Baan Kratin Daeng, Kamphaeng Saen District;
Ban Huai Nong Krang, Mueang District, Nakhon Pathom Province and at Baan Don Ta
Phet, Phanom Thuan District, Kanchanaburi Province.

11. ลำยเน้ือผ้ำทอโบรำณ ท่ีปรำกฏหลักฐำนเปน็ รอยประทับ
ของสนิมเหล็กบนใบหอก แสดงลักษณะกำรทอแบบธรรมดำ (plain
weave) โดยใชเ้ สน้ ด้ำยที่มีขนำดค่อนข้ำงใหญ่

Traditional woven fabric which was the evidence of
rust imprinted on steel spear shows the plain weaving
characteristic using a relatively large yarn.

12. กำไลสำริดของโครงกระดูกหมำยเลข 1 ในหลุมขุดค้นซ่ึงสวม
กำไลแบบเดียวกันน้ีข้ำงละ 5 วง กำไลทั้งหมดอยู่ในสภำพแตกหักและเกิด
เปน็ สนิมสีเขยี ว

Fragments of green rusty bronze bracelets of the
skeleton number 1 was found in the excavation; moreover, it
was also learned that in each side of his/her hand, the
skeleton wore the same 5 bracelets.

13. เศษภำชนะดินเผำ (pot sherds) แบบผิวเรียบ
เคลือบน้ำโคลนสีนวล (buff slip) เน้ือหนำหยำบ มีส่วนประกอบ
ของแกลบข้ำวหรอื พืชในเน้ือดนิ มำก จำกลักษณะของเน้ือดิน แสดง
วำ่ เผำโดยใช้อุณหภมู ิไม่มำกนกั หรอื ใช้เวลำส้นั ๆ ในกำรเผำ

Shreds of an ancient pot with smooth surface,

buff slip and coarse texture containing many rice husk or plants in soil were found. The
soil texture of the pot showed that its baking temperature was not very hot or it took a
short time to burn the soil.

Fragments of a porcelain container decorated with
scratches of which texture was quite rough with the mixture
of rice husk and grog were found.

ทำบ (cord marked) อย่ำงหยำบและเคลือบด้วยน้ำโคลนสีนวล
เน้อื ภำชนะบำงคอ่ นข้ำงแกร่งมีส่วนผสมของหินตำ หรือทรำยหยำบ
ปริมำณมำก

Fragments of a porcelain container decorated
with coarse cord marked and coated with light-colored
of muddy water of which its texture was quite tough with a mixture of pound stones or
rough sand were also found.

มหาวทิ ยาลยั เกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน (ในขณะนั้น ศ. ดร.ธรรมศกั ด์ิ สมมาตย์ ดารงตาแหน่ง
คณบดีคณะเกษตร) มีการแบ่งส่วนราชการออกเป็น 1 สานัก 8 ภาควิชา ได้แก่ สานักงานเลขานุการ
ภาควิชากีฏวิทยา ภาควิชาเกษตรกลวิธาน ภาควิชาปฐพีวิทยา ภาควิชาโรคพืช ภาควิชาพืชไร่นา
ภาควิชาพืชสวน ภาควชิ าสตั วบาล และภาควิชาสง่ เสริมและนเิ ทศศาสตรเ์ กษตร

ในปี พ.ศ. 2556 ภายใต้การพัฒนายุทธศาสตร์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ 10 ปี คณะเกษตร
กาแพงแสน ปรบั ปรงุ โครงสร้างคณะเกษตร กาแพงแสน ต่อมา ทีป่ ระชมุ สภามหาวทิ ยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์
มีมติให้ควบรวมหน่วยงานท่ีซ้าซ้อนเข้าด้วยกัน เพื่อเพ่ิมประสิทธิภาพ และความเป็นเอกภาพ มากข้ึน
โดยให้ยุบเลิกสถาบันค้นคว้าและพัฒนาระบบนิเวศเกษตรตามด้วยสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา กาแพงแสน
และสถาบันสุวรรณวาจกกสิกิจฯ และโอนหน่วยงานมายังคณะเกษตร กาแพงแสน ทาให้คณะเกษตร
กาแพงแสน มีหน่วยงานเพ่ิมข้ึนมาอีก 6 ศูนย์ ได้แก่ ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาไม้ผลเขตร้อน ศูนย์วิจัยและ
พัฒนาพืชผักเขตร้อน ศูนย์เทคโนโลยีหลังการเก็บเก่ียว ศูนย์วิจัยและฝึกอบรมการเลี้ยงสุกรแห่งชาติ
ศนู ยว์ จิ ยั และพัฒนาทางสตั วศาสตร์ ศนู ย์ปฏิบตั กิ ารวิจยั และเรอื นปลกู พชื ทดลอง

Historical Development

Kasetsart University extended teaching of the Faculty of Agriculture to
Kamphaeng Saen Campus by the KU order No. 861/1980 dated 10th June 1980. Then,
the Dean was Assist. Prof. Dr.Arun Chantana-O. The extended unit of the faculty has
provided teaching in agriculture-related programs for both undergraduate and graduate
students including master and doctoral programs.

The extended faculty was officially announced to be the Faculty of Agriculture
at Kamphaeng Saen by (FA KPS) KU Council on 18th March 2003 (then the Dean of the
old Faculty of Agriculture was Prof. Dr. Thammasak Sommart). It has consisted of 1 office
(of the secretary) and 8 academic departments namely Department of Entomology,
Department of Farm Mechanics, Department of Soil Sciences, Department of Plant
Pathology, Department of Agronomy, Department of Horticulture, Department of Animal
Sciences and Department of Agricultural Extension and Communication.

In 2013, according to the10-year Strategic Plan aimed to enhance the efficiency
and unity of work, KU Council approved of merging some institutes whose duties and
responsibilities were repetitive such as Agro-Ecological System Research and
Development Institute, Research and Development Institute at Kamphaeng Saen and
Suwanvajokkasikit Animal Research and Development Institute with FA KPS. Since the
merging on 27th October 2014, FA.KPS has therefore added of 6 offices; Tropical
Vegetable Research and Development Center, Tropical Fruit Research and Development
Center, National Swine Production Research and Training Center, Central Laboratory and
Greenhouse Complex, Center of Post Harvest Technology and Animal Science Research
and Development Center.

Educational Programs Offered

FA KPS is responsible for producing graduates with the knowledge and skills in
agriculture in bachelor, master and doctoral degree as follows:

Bachelor degree programs are Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Agriculture, in
Machinery and Mechatronics, in Animal Science and in Agricultural Biotechnology.

Master degree programs are Master of Science (M.S.) in Science and Technology
of Soil Management, in Horticultural Science, in Livestock Science, in Food Safety in
Animal Products, in Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, in Entomology, in Plant
Pathology, in Agronomy, in Plant Breeding, in Agricultural Research and Development
(International Program) and in Agricultural and Community Management.

Doctoral degrees are Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Animal Nutrition and Feed
Technology, in Entomology, in Plant Pathology, in Agronomy, in Horticulture, in Plant
Breeding, in Agricultural Research and Development and in Agricultural Science
(International Program).

Sirindhornia, Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People's Republic of
China in 2014, Kamphaeng Saen-10R (KPS-10R) of freshly edible pumpkin, Trichoderma

fermented coconut fluff, The Syranon toxin quick detection kit, the prototype of
transplanting sugarcane seedlings attached to the back of the tractor, Biological products

คณะวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬา พัฒนามาจากภาควิชาวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬา สังกัดคณะ

ศกึ ษาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เมื่อวันท่ี 18 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2535 เพ่ือจัดการศึกษาหลักสูตร
วิทยาศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬา เป็นแห่งแรกในประเทศไทย ต่อมาสภา
มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ได้จดั ตั้งเป็น คณะวิทยาศาสตรก์ ารกีฬา สงั กัดวิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน เม่อื วันท่ี
24 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2548 ประกอบด้วย สาขาวิชาชีวกลศาสตร์การกีฬา สาขาวิชาสรีรวิทยาการออกกาลัง

Historical Development
The Faculty of Sports Science was originated from the department of Sports

Science, which was attached to the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University since
December 18th, 1992. It provided the first Master degree program in Sports Science in
Thailand. Later on March 24th, 2005, it was founded by the KU Council as the Faculty of
Sports Science (F.SS) under KU KPS Formerly, its organizing structure was composed of
four programs, which included Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Sports Psychology,
Sports Management, and a research and development center.

At present, F.SS organizational structure consists of:
1. Department of Sports Science and Health.
2. Department of Sports Management.
3. Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences.
4. Sports Science Research and Development Center.
5. Sports Science Secretariat Office.

Educational Programs Offered
Formerly, FSS offered both undergraduate and graduate programs in sports
science, which were revised to Sports and Exercise Sciences in 2016. In addition, the
international graduate programs in Sports Management were also first introduced. In
2015, Faculty of Sports Science has offered the first curriculum in Athletic Training and
Movement Science in Thailand.

The Faculty of Sports Science is dedicated to developing experts and

technological sport innovations in the areas of sports science, rehabilitation and

Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen

พัฒนาการและความเปน็ มา
คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ กาแพงแสน ถือกาเนิดร่วมกับคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ (บางเขน) จาก

โรงเรียนช่างชลประทาน กรมชลประทาน ซึ่งก่อตั้งขึ้นเม่ือปี พ.ศ. 2481 โดยหม่อมหลวงชูชาติ กาภู
จนถึงปี พ.ศ. 2494 ได้สบทบเข้าเป็นเครือของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ และจัดตั้งเป็นคณะวิศวกรรม
ชลประทาน ในปี พ.ศ. 2497 จนภายหลังได้รบั การสถาปนาเปน็ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ในปี พ.ศ. 2509
ตอ่ มาในปี พ.ศ. 2522 ได้ย้ายภาควิชาวิศวกรรมเกษตร และภาควิชาวิศวกรรมชลประทานจากบางเขน
มาดาเนินการจัดการเรยี นการสอนที่วิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน ซึ่งถือเปน็ จดุ เร่มิ ต้นของคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์
ทวี่ ิทยาเขตกาแพงแสน (ในขณะนน้ั รศ. ดร.บุญสม สวุ ชิรตั น์ ดารงตาแหน่งคณบดคี ณะวศิ วกรรมศาสตร์)
จนกระทั่งเม่ือวันที่ 22 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2546 (ในขณะน้ันอาจารย์ นนทวัฒน์ จันทร์เจริญ ดารงตาแหน่ง
คณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์) ได้มีการจัดตั้ง“คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ กาแพงแสน” เป็นหน่วยงานใน

Building 1, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen

Historical Development
Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen (FE KPS) has the same origin and

shares its history with the Faculty of Engineering Bangkhen in that itinitially originated
from an Irrigation Technical School of the Royal Irrigation Department which was founded

by late M.L. Xujati Kambhu in 1938. The school was then incorporated as part of Kasetsart
Univeristy in 1951, and renamed as Faculty of Irrigation Engineering in 1954 before later
establishment of the Faculty of Engineering in 1966. Due to educational expansion of
the university and subsequent foundation of the new campus in Kamphaeng Saen district
of Nakhon Pathom province, in 1979 (when the Dean was Assoc. Prof. Boonsom
Suwachirat), two departments of the Faculty of Engineering, i.e. Department of
Agricultural Engineering and Department of Irrigation Engineering were therefore
relocated in Kamphaeng Saen Campus and began their academic activities since then.
With continuous growth and successive establishment of another 3 departments;
Department of Food Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, on 22
April 2003 (Dean Nonthawat Chancharoen), the KU Council agreed upon separation of
the five departments operating at Kamphaeng Saen Campus, and officially established
as the Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen in order to facilitate the administration
and governance.

At present, the Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen comprises 10 units,
including a Secretariat Office, 7 educational departments, namely, Agricultural
Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Food Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and 2 affiliated centers; Energy
and Environmental Engineering Center (EEEC), and Testing Center of Doors, Windows and
Curtain Wall in Buildings (TDWCB).
