The end of a sentence is very important in Japanese. Conclusion is usually given at the end, and
one's feelings and politeness toward others are represented at the same time.
If you're talking to a person you've just met, or to a person whom you're not as close to call a
friend, you use a polite form. (Eg: "Ikimasu, Yasuidesu"). But to a family member or to a friend, you
use a plain form (Eg: "/kuw, "Yasui") is used. Let's take "Ganbaru (Good luck!)"for example.
* "Ganbatte kudasai" <To a person other than your family or a friend〉
好"Ganbatte" <To a family member or to a friend>
Additionally, use of "ne" and "yo" cha nges the nuances of expression. "Л/e" reveals the feeling of
friendliness to others, along with seeking consent in a gentle manner. "Yo" is an expression used
to call a person's attention, and to seek confirmation by indicating something.
* "Ganbatte ne."/"Ganbatte kudasai ne" (Express your feeling, "I'm supporting you.")
* "Ganbatteyo."/ "Ganbatte kudasaiyo." (Express your feeling, "You need to put more effort in it.")
If you add "chotto" or "moo chotto", the expression becomes more Japanese like. Let's learn these
kinds of "Word to express feelings" little by little.
