Conditional Clause also known as If Clause or conditional sentences, express an
imagined situation or condition and the possible result of that situation. They consist
of a main clause and dependent clause. Conditional clauses are often introduced by
the word “If”, although sometimes other words can be used.

In this material, there are two kind of procedure text as follow:
MANUAL / GUIDE
It is reference document which provides detailed information about operation and
maintainance of a product. Manual must be read (really) in sequence. It because the
initial step will effect to another steps.
Example:

2. How to operate document scanner.
3. How to troubleshoot machine error.

TIPS

This kind of procedure is not really followed as a sequence. One step sometimes
doesn’t effect to another.
