Prof. Dr.Wisut Sittichaya กำรศึกษำ ปริญญาตรี: วิทยาศาสตรบัณทิต (วนศาสตร์) การ จัดการทรัพยากรป่าไม้ (การจัดการสัตว์ป่า) คณะวนศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ปริญญาโท: Master of Forest Science (Forest Protechtions), Universität für Bodenkultur, Wien (Vienna, Austria) ปริญญาเอก: ปรัชญาดุษฎีบัณฑิต (การจัดการ ทรัพยากรเกษตรเขตร้อน) คณะทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ประสบกำรณ์วิจัย ผู้เขียนเริ่มท างานวิจัยเกี่ยวกับแมลงกลุ่มมอดเจาะไม้ตั้งแต่เรียนระดับปริญญาโท ที่ มหาวิทยาลัย Universität für Bodenkultur ประเทศออสเตรียในปี พ.ศ. 2547 โดยท าวิจัยทาง ชีววิทยาและนิเวศวิทยาของมอดเจาะเปลือกไม้ในวงศ์ย่อย Scolytinae เมื่อผู้เขียนมีโอกาสได้มาท างาน ที่ คณะทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ในปี พ.ศ. 2549 ผู้เขียนได้ท าวิจัยเกี่ยวกับ แมลงกลุ่มมอดต่อเนื่องจากงานวิจัยระดับปริญญาโทและขยายขอบเขตงานวิจัยครอบคลุมในทุกแง่มุมทั้ง ทางด้านชีววิทยา ความหลากหลายและอนุกรมวิธานของแมลงกลุ่มดังกล่าวอย่างต่อเนื่อง ครอบคลุมทั้ง มอดเจาะเปลือกไม้ มอดแอมโบรเซียและมอดขี้ขุยทั้งในพื้นที่ป่า ไม้ผล ไม้ยืนต้นและไม้ยางพาราแปรรูป จนถึงปัจจุบัน
