Objektif Pembelajaran Program
Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO1 Menyediakan graduan yang mempunyai ilmu pengetahuan
PEO2 yang kukuh dan komprehensif dalam bidang pengajian
PEO3 Islam, secara teori dan praktikal semasa aman dan darurat
PEO4 seperti perang, bencana alam, rusuhan, konflik dan
PEO5 sebagainya.

Menangani salah faham terhadap konsep jihad yang sering
dikaitkan dengan istilah ekstrimis dan gerakan militan
terutamanya yang melibatkan isu-isu pertahanan dan
keselamatan.

Menangani masalah ketirisan integriti pegawai yang
bertanggungjawab dalam menjaga keselamatan negara
bagi isu-isu keselamatan non tradisional seperti
pemerdagangan manusia, penyeludupan haram dan isu
persempadanan.

Memenuhi keperluan tenaga kerja masa kini yang
berkehendak kepada graduan yang berilmu duniawi dan
ukhrawi secara holistik anggota tentera, polis, pegawai
penguatkuasa agama, pegawai hal ehwal Islam, pegawai

Pre-requisite

Course Synopsis

This course will explain about the evidences of legal rules (adillat al-ahkam) agreed
by scholars. Sources of Islamic law is divided into two; primary sources and
secondary sources. The primary sources were agreed by the scholars in setting the
hukm while the secondary sources are differed among the scholars. As such,
students will be able to understand how the fiqh scholars' issue hukm based on
Islamic law sources. Besides, students will also study the agreement and dissent
among scholars in setting the hukm according to the suitability of time and
circumstances.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course students are able to:

1. Justify the concept and the definition of sources of Islamic law.
2. Explain in detail regarding the distribution of the sources of Islamic law.
3. Explain the importance of Islamic legal resources in the context of setting

Islamic laws.
4. Analyze current issues regarding the implementation of new law in Islam.

Course Synopsis
Fiqh is an important element in the determination of the legislation. It should be
understood in a structured and organized to avoid mistakes in issuing a ruling. Then
this course is necessary to provide students with exposure to fiqh methods used for
issuing hukm purposes.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course students are able to:

1. Explain in detail the concept of fiqh methodology and its differences with
usul fiqh.

2. Identify the approach applied through the fiqh methods to determine an
Islamic law.

3. Solve current issues on Syariah laws guided by fiqh methodology.

Pre-requisite

Course Synopsis
Maqasid Shariah and Legal Opinion is an important subject to be exposed to both
civilian and cadet students. This subject aims to increase knowledge and
understanding about the concept of Maqasid Shariah and legal opinion from the view
of its definition, the history of its development and its relation to other shariah
principles. At the same time the subject will expose the students with al-Ijtihad (legal
opinion) which is one of the sources of law to accommodate the ever changing human
needs of the times. Al-Ijtihad is one of the methods of contemporary law resources
that are always tied to the Islamic shariah framework which is capable of meeting the
needs of the general public.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course students are able to:

1. Explain the definition of Maqasid Shariah and legal opinion in Islam.
2. Clarify the history and stage of development of Maqasid Shari'ah and legal

opinion in Islam.
3. Clearly explain the objectives of Shariah and its relation to the sources of

Islamic law in Islam.
4. Identify the suitable methods to apply the principles of Maqasid Shari'ah

and legal opinion in the circumstances.
5. Analyze the suitability of Maqasid Shari'ah and legal opinion in current

issues.

Course Synopsis
This course describes the concepts and principles of communication from Western
perspectives and da’wah. The introduction of models and theories of communication
also touches from the perspective of da’wah. The focus of the discussion on the
methods and contexts of da'wah communication in establishing the concept of human
relations with Allah and human relationships with humans through vertical
communication and horizontal communication including interpersonal
communication, small group communication, communication management and mass
communication. In addition, the course also discusses the role of preacher as a
Muslim communicator.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course students are able to:

1. Understand the concept of communication from Western perspective and
the perspective of the da’wah..

2. Understand the development of knowledge on Western communications
and da'wah communication.

3. Understand the current issues on da’wah communication.
4. Able to play the role in selecting the most suitable da’wah communication

from the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w and how it can be applied today.

This course will discuss issues related to the Islamic political system and its
principles. Through this course, students will be exposed to the concept of the basic
things that can be found in the Islamic political system that covers all aspects of life
because there is no separation in the Islamic political system. Next, the students will
gain a better understanding of current issues in Islamic politics and its challenges in
the future. In addition, students can also explore the biography of Islamic political
figures in the past and present as well as their contributions to this science.
Furthermore, this course will explain the role of Islamic politics in the issue of
international relations which should be the concern of the world community. The
application of this course will certainly add a Muslim's belief to Islamic politics and be
able to know the principles of Islamic politics through various scientific studies.

Course Synopsis
The rationale of this course the student is exposed to provide an overview of the
science of terminologies of hadith (mustalahul hadith), its history and its importance.
In addition, students will also learn about the process of compiling Hadith, distinguish
between the science of Hadith Riwayah and Dirayah, studying the conditions of the
narrators and criteria used among muhaddithin, discussing the division of Hadith
Sahih, Hasan, Dhaif and Maudu’, evaluating the position of the hadith based on the
law and studying the generation of narrators.

At the end of this course students are able to:

1. Able to identify the scope of the discussion of sciences of Hadith in its
entirety.

2. Able to understand the terminologies used in the study of Sciences of
Hadith.

operations / training, disasters and wars. In addition, it also contains the solution from
the legal point of view to the legal issues in travel and emergency situations. The
subject will also provide exposure on purification procedures, fardu rituals and its
implementation procedures, circumcision and its implementation procedures and the
strengthening of the spiritual of every member of the army and uniform body. It aims
to reveal good management of worship based on existing knowledge according to
the current situation in which it is located.

Course Synopsis

This course will enable students to understand the characteristics of leadership of
Islamic military figures as outlined by the sources of the Quran and Sunnah. This is
because, leadership is the art of being in the real of person. However, how to polish
the leadership talents awarded by God based on the Quran and Sunnah. In the
military, the leaders who adhere to and implement the military ethics contained in the
Quran and the Sunnah will bring success in Islam. This is evidenced by the success
of Islamic militarians from the time of the Messenger of Allah to the Ottomans period.

Course Synopsis

This course discusses the treatment and medical from the Islamic perspective that is
based on the Quran and the Doa’ practiced by Prophet Muhammad SAW, Sahabah
and practitioners of Islamic medicine. Other than that, this course also are provide to
students to expose the greatness of the Quranic miracle and it is necessary to
practice in life as closer to God. The scope of the discussion in this course included
on basic introduction to Islamic medicine such as ethics of practitioners, verses of the
Quran, Zikr and Doa’ that known as the basis of the practice of students to strengthen
their spiritual and spiritual. The students will also be exposed to the knowledge of the
devil and how to pretend it. Besides that, the treatment of physical illness and the use
of natural resources will be introduced. At the end of the course, students will undergo
practical sessions to strengthen the learning and practice of students.

Islam is one religion that always focuses on justice and rejects all forms which is
prohibited by Allah SWT. Therefore, the philosophy of establishing a judicial system
in Islam is to reject any form of oppression and resolve disputes that exist among
Muslims. Nowadays, there are several Islamic legal flows that have been put under
the Islamic judiciary to implement legislation specifically designed for Muslims. In
Malaysia, the most important is the Family Law of Islam formed based on Nidzam al-
Usrah Fil Islam, the Islamic Family System which has also been placed under the
Islamic Judiciary as law enforcement. It is therefore a requirement for graduates of
Islamic studies to understand the concept of judicial in Islam to educate them to
understand the rules of the court in accordance with the Quran and as-Sunnah and
coupled with the knowledge of the Family Law of Islam. All of these are especially
important when they become the place of reference for other human beings who have
concerns about the rules of Islamic family law and Islamic judicial administration in

Pre-requisite

Course Synopsis

This course covers the explanations of the development of quality management
system that began in the West, East and the Islamic worlds. The course focuses on
the philosophy, objective, characteristic, function, strategy and model of quality
management system accordance to Islam. The implementation of the concept of
quality management system should comply the needs of Shari’ah which covers three
main elements; Fiqh, Aqidah and Akhlak. In addition, this course discusses the
differences between the Western and Islamic quality management and introduces
Insaniyyah elements that can be integrated in the Western quality system. It is hoped
that this subject is able to provide clear knowledge that the standards Islamic
management system are also competing and capable of giving greater impact to the
individual and also the true success (al-Falah) for the overall achievement of the
organization.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course students are able to:

1. Explain the quality management system practiced by the West as well as
the Islamic-based quality management system.

2. Explain the philosophy, objective, characteristic, function, strategy and
model of quality management system according to the perspective of Islam.

3. Explain the concept of a quality management system that complies with
Shari’ah requirements covering the three main elements; Fiqh, Aqidah and
Akhlak.

4. Apply the standards of Islamic quality system practiced at the global and
national level.

LATAR BELAKANG AKADEMI LATIHAN KETENTERAAN

Akademi Latihan Ketenteraan (ALK) bertanggungjawab terhadap
pengurusan, pentadbiran dan keperluan logistik bagi ketiga-tiga perkhidmatan
Pegawai Kadet Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia sesuai dengan dasar
dan polisi pembangunan latihan ketenteraan yang digariskan. Latihan
ketenteraan yang diadaptasi dan diaplikasikan adalah dirancang dan digubal
selari dengan pengajian akademik berteraskan kepada Rancangan
Pengurusan Latihan (RPL) yang sistematik dan efisyen. ALK juga
bertanggungjawab dalam perlaksanaan Latihan Ketenteraan Umum (LKU) dan
Tempur Tanpa Senjata (TTS) yang dilaksanakan sepanjang pengajian di
UPNM.

LKU dilaksanakan pada setiap hari Sabtu yang membawa kepada
empat (4) kredit sepanjang pengajian. Kod bagi matapelajaran ALK adalah

Tempur Tanpa Senjata

TTS telah diserapkan di UPNM bermula pada bulan Ogos 2009.
Tujuan latihan ini dijalankan adalah untuk memastikan Pegawai Muda yang
bakal di keluarkan oleh Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia memiliki tali
pinggang hitam TTS, mampu untuk mempertahankan diri disamping memupuk
semangat kerjasama dan disiplin yang tinggi. TTS merangkumi pelbagai jenis
seni mempertahankan diri yang diiktiraf oleh Majlis Sukan Negara. TTS juga
turut dikreditkan ke atas setiap Pegawai Kadet UPNM dengan kod QKS 3621
yang membawa kepada dua (2) kredit. Pegawai Kadet wajib mendaftar
matapelajaran ini pada semester ke enam pengajian bagi tujuan pengijazahan.

Latihan TTS dilaksanakan pada setiap hari Jumaat. Latihan
merangkumi pergerakan tumbukan, tangkisan, tendangan, serangan dan
pemusnahan. Jurulatih TTS yang berpengalaman di bawah kelolaan Pusat
Latihan Kor Polis Tentera Diraja (PULAPOT) mampu untuk mendidik dan
memastikan Pegawai Kadet menjadi lebih berdisiplin, tangkas dan
berkeyakinan.

RANCANGAN PENGURUSAN LATIHAN (PEGAWAI KADET)

1.0 AM

Rancangan Pengurusan Latihan (RPL) Pegawai Kadet UPNM
disediakan adalah untuk membantu dan sebagai panduan kepada
Akademi Latihan Ketenteraan dalam merancang dan seterusnya
berupaya melaksanakan Latihan Ketenteraan Umum (LKU) dengan
sistematik dan efisien. Ianya dihasilkan setelah diambilkira aspek-
aspek kesesuaian masa yang ada, waktu pengajian akademik dan
silibus subjek-subjek ketenteraan yang bersesuaian dalam usaha
melahirkan seorang Pegawai Muda yang berketrampilan sesuai
dengan falsafah penubuhan UPNM.

2.0 KONSEP LATIHAN

Latihan akan dilaksanakan secara menyeluruh di UPNM. Ianya
dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu semasa sesi pengajian akademik dan
di sebelah petang hari Isnin hingga Khamis diperuntukkan untuk
latihan sukan manakala latihan Tempur Tanpa Senjata (TTS) adalah
pada sebelah petang hari Jumaat. Pada masa cuti semester 1 dan
2, latihan ketenteraan akan dilaksanakan secara sepenuh masa.

3.0 OBJEKTIF LATIHAN

Konsep latihan Pegawai Kadet di UPNM adalah untuk melatih dan
melahirkan Pegawai-pegawai Muda yang berilmu, berakhlak mulia,
mengamalkan budaya ketenteraan, cekap dan menyumbang ke
arah pembangunan ketenteraan dan negara. Justeru, RPL yang
dibangunkan adalah bersesuaian dengan tahap pembelajaran dan
pengetahuan yang ingin dicapai di akhir tahun-tahun pengajian dan
latihan seperti berikut:

3.1 Latihan Tunas Wira (LTW)

Latihan ini dirangka selama 6 minggu bagi memberikan
landasan yang asas dalam ilmu ketenteraan kepada
Pegawai Kadet yang baru melapor diri ke UPNM sebelum
memulakan pengajian. Objektif latihan fasa ini adalah
seperti berikut:

i. Memberi pendedahan ke atas aspek-aspek
asas kehidupan regimental ketenteraan dalam
usaha membentuk perwatakan dan
keperibadian serta disiplin ketenteraan.

ii. Mengurangkan impak kejutan budaya.

iii. Membina ketahanan fizikal, mental dan
keyakinan diri sebagai persediaan untuk
menjalani latihan ketenteraan seterusnya.

iv. Memberi pendedahan kepada sistem latihan
dan pengajian di UPNM.

3.2 Tahun Satu

Silibus pelajaran ini bertujuan memberi pendedahan ke
atas aspek-aspek ketenteraan dalam usaha membina
perwatakan dan keperibadian sebagai seorang Pegawai
Tentera. Objektif-objektif yang digariskan adalah seperti
berikut:

i. Memberi pendedahan ke atas aspek-aspek
teknik dan taktik serta pengurusan dan
kepimpinan di peringkat Kompeni.

ii. Memahami dan melaksanakan tugas-tugas di
peringkat Kompeni.

iii. Membentuk perwatakan dan keperibadian
seorang Pegawai Tentera melalui aktiviti-
aktiviti regimental.

3.3 Tahun Dua

Silibus pelajaran yang dibangunkan untuk tahun ini adalah
kesinambungan dari Tahun Satu dan bertujuan memberi
pendedahan ke atas aspek-aspek ketenteraan dalam
usaha membina perwatakan dan keperibadian sebagai
seorang Pegawai Tentera. Objektif-objektif yang
digariskan adalah seperti berikut:

i. Memberi pendedahan ke atas aspek-aspek
teknik dan taktik serta pengurusan dan
kepimpinan di peringkat Batalion dan Briged
melalui latihan sambil kerja (OJT) dan latihan
kolektif.

ii. Memahami organisasi dan tugas-tugas di

seorang Pegawai Tentera melalui aktiviti-
aktiviti regimental.

3.4 Tahun Tiga

Tahun ini ketiga merupakan tahun akhir bagi Pegawai

Kadet yang mengikuti pengajian akademik Jurusan Sains

dan Teknologi Pertahanan dan Jurusan Pengurusan

Pertahanan. Silibus pelajaran yang dibangunkan untuk

tahun ini adalah bertujuan memberi pendedahan ke atas

aspek-aspek ketenteraan dalam usaha

memperlengkapkan seseorang Pegawai Kadet yang

mampu melaksanakan tugas-tugas sebagai seorang

Pegawai Muda. Justeru, pendedahan ke atas aspek-

aspek penugasan di Batalion dan Briged melalui latihan

sambil kerja (OJT) dan latihan peringkat kolektif akan

diteruskan dan penekanan juga akan diberi ke atas aspek

peperangan bersama yang melibatkan ketiga-tiga

perkhidmatan. Objektif-objektif yang digariskan adalah

seperti berikut:

i. Berupaya melaksanakan tugas-tugas sebagai
seorang Pegawai Muda.

ii. Memahami konsep peperangan bersama.

iii. Membentuk perwatakan dan keperibadian
seorang Pegawai Tentera melalui aktiviti-
aktiviti regimental.
