GLOSSARY
Numbers in parentheses refer to the chapters in which the terms are defined.
VSM A new simulation software package for microcontroller, Proteus virtual
system modelling (VSM), is introduced for industrial and educational use.
Proteus VSM combines circuit simulation, animated components and
microprocessor models to facilitate co-simulation of complete
microcontroller based designs.

BW Frequency bandwidth is the frequency range between two specified
frequency cut-off points (fc).
Fc Cutoff frequency is the frequency at which the voltage gain of a circuit
drops to 0.707 of its maximum value .
AND The AND gate is a basic digital logic gate and the function can be extended
to any number of inputs.
OR The OR gate is a digital logic gate and the function of OR effectively finds
the maximum between two binary digits.
NOT is a logic gate that inverts the digital input signal.
XOR gate is a digital logic gate that gives a true output when the number of true
inputs is odd.
PCB printed circuit board is used to mechanically support and electrically
connect electronic components using conductive pathways, tracks or signal
traces etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate.
LED A light-emitting diode is a semiconductor light source that emits light
when current flows through it.
COOPER is used as a conductor of heat and electricity.
