EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION : JAIPUR (21st - 22nd Sep ,2019)

Memories of school trips are among the most
prominent of the formative years and Lotus Valley
International School takes immense pleasure to help
children build these fond memories. It was especially
exciting for our learners of Grade IV as they experienced
new levels of freedom of staying away from their homes
for two days and a night. Their stay at Choki Dhani
Village Resort was comfortable with all facilities
provided to the learners. They connected with their
peers as well as teachers on a personal level. On the
first day, the learners visited the Choki Dhani village.

They were thrilled to watch mesmerizing performances by magicians, singers and folk
artists there. On the second day of the stay, the learners visited the Paper Mache
Factory and saw recycling of scrap cotton fabric into handmade paper. Seeing paper
bags, tissue papers, craft sheets being made there by hand was an eye- opener for
many of the learners. They also went to the City Palace where they saw the Textile
Museum and the Weapons Gallery. The cherry on the cake was the birthday
celebration of two of the learners at a restaurant, en-route to Gurgaon. The learners
were amazed to learn about the times of the Rajput warriors. The learner’s visit to
Jaipur was an educative experience coupled with fun and laughter

The School Principal, Ms. Anita Malhotra strongly
believes that an active mind is an offspring of
curiosity teamed with playful opportunities. To
further this idea, an overnight trip was arranged
for the learners of Grade V to the city of Mahal
and Mughal, Agra.
The learners visited the Taj City on 21st & 22nd
September 2019, under the supervision of their
respective teacher in-charges. The visit to the Taj
Mahal gave a diachronic view of history to the
learners, the finest example of Mughal
architecture.

The young minds moved around the city in small groups, grappling, solving individual
problems, they worked towards building a stronger bond and in larger sight; they
learned the need for harmony in the community. They experienced a sense of
independence while making choices for themselves and for the greater good of their
groups. The smiles and laughter bear testimony of their joy and enthusiasm. The trip
rightly stated that learning is never limited to the boundaries of school.
