Dear Punam,
Thanks for your letter and it was great to hear from you. You
asked me to tell you about my favourite day of the week. Well it’s
definitely Friday.
One reason I like Friday is because I have my favourite subjects
at school: PE and chemistry. Chemistry’s great because we do
experiments in the science lab and our teacher, Mr. Ramesh, is so
funny. In PE we usually play basketball, which is my favourite
sport. I’m good at it because I’m quite tall. Our team usually wins.
We also have Chinese, which is my least favourite subject because
it’s so difficult to memorize: so many letters! But after that, we
have music class which is much more interesting. At the moment
I’m practising a song for annual program.
After school I hang out with my friends, and then in the evening I
play football at the sports centre. On Friday nights we sometimes
go to someone’s house for a party. We can relax a bit on Friday
because there’s no school on Saturday.
Tell me about your favourite day in your next letter. Hope to hear
from you soon.
Yours,
Nilam

school premises. When they arrived at the school, the teachers
were talking to the van drivers. There were three jeeps for forty
students.
The teacher told the students not to walk alone and warned them
to be careful. They were going on the jeeps. Some other tourists
were riding on elephants. They drove past them.
In the park, the first thing they saw was a peacock. It was dancing
in the field of green grass. It was wonderful. After driving for
some time, they saw a couple of rhinos in the grassland on the
bank of a river. The rhinos were playing with each other. Some people
who were ahead of them were trying to take photos.
The children also saw some deer. The deer were jumping and
running. Some baby deer were fighting with each other.
While driving through the
jungle, they saw a tiger.
The teacher said, “Keep

scared. However, the tiger
was going to the next side
