WATER LINE

Rotary Club of Bharuch RI Dist. 3060, Gujarat with the support of Rotary Club of Ancona Conero,
RI Dist. 2090, Italy, Rotary Club of San Vito, RI Dist. 2090, Italy and Rotary Club of Charlotte Hall RI Dist.
7620, USA has provided clean drinking water through RO plant to 24 schools and villages at a total cost of
US $ 76,931. The project benefits nearly 2,400 families and 7,000 students



SODA TOILETS

RI District 3054 has provided 90 toilets to households, 19 to
public and 4 in girl school benefitting nearly 1000 villages at a
total cost of US $ 20,500 with the support of Rotary Club of
Marion RI Dist. 7670.

SCHOOL INFRA

Rotary Club of Nanganallur, RI Dist 3230, Tamilnadu
supported by Rotary Club of Cataraqui-Kingston, Canada,
RI Dist 7040 has provided for improving the sanitation /
hygiene and infra-structure facilities at a cost of US $ 35,400
in TWO Government Schools. School Benches, RO Plant,
Toilets, Physics Lab, Computer Lab and Library were
provided.

SUKHADA

The Rotary Clubs of RI Dist. 3140 have come together to provide over 800 toilets along with hand wash
stations for Girl Students in needy government schools, private schools and ashramsalas. The project
helped in improving their personal hygiene behavior and has brought great comfort for the students in
these villages around Mumbai. The total cost of the project involving District Grants was US $ 1,230,700.



PURE FOR SURE – QUALITY DRINKING WATER

Rotary Club of Inkollu, Andhra Pradesh, has provided
safe drinking water to entire village of Inkollu by installing
a reverse osmosis plant with 8,000 ltrs. of water per
hour. The club has dug an open well of 50 ft. depth
with 50 ft. circumference. The water from the well is
then pumped over 3 km. into a reservoir of 100,000
ltrs. capacity to the plant. Every family is provided a
smart card using which they can draw drinking water
from the plant. The project benefits more than 5000
villagers and was supported by Rotary Club of
Colarado Springs, RI Dist. 6900, USA at a cost of US
$ 60,000.

SWACHH BHARAT

Rotary Club of Pune Central RI District 3131, Maharashtra provided Toilets and Safe drinking water equipments to 300
low income rural households. The project was executed in partnership with E-club of Taiwan and costed US $ 60,000

Rotary Club of Dhule Crossroad, RI
District 3060 has installed RO Water
Plants in 14 Schools benefitting nearly
25,000 students, 200 teaching and
non teaching staff and 5000 people in
the near by communities. The project
has helped increase in attendance of
students at school and reduction in
water borne diseases.

WATER FOR HEALTH



Rotary Club of Jaipur Mid Town, RI District 3052, Rajastan has made 11 Happy Government Schools by
providing Uniforms, Shoes, Green Board and other class room material, Benches separate toilet facilities,
Play equipment, Computers, Activity room and Wash stations. The total cost of the project was US $
96,800. More than 1800 students benefitted from this project.

HYGIENIC SURROUNDINGS

Rotary Club of Shimoga, RI District 3182 as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission constructed two pay and use public
toilets and urinals at stratagic points in the city for the use of visitors. Thousands of visitors are benefitted by this
facility and also contribute towards the hygiene in the surroundings.



Rotary Club of Visakha Port City RI District 3020, Andhra Pradesh provided 41 group Hand
Wash and RO units to Government Schools with the support of Rotary Club of Courtenay,
Canada at a total cost of US $ 70,000. More than 10,000 students were benefited from this
project.

HAPPY SCHOOLS

Rotary Club of Madras Coromandel RI District 3230, as a part of Happy Schools, provided
Toilet Blocks and Library in Two Government Schools. The total Project Cost is US $ 51,910.
This Project was supported by Rotary Club of Colombo Port, Sri Lanka.

illiterate. That's 17 percent of the world's adult
population.

Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities
to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender
disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. We
support education for all children and literacy for
children and adults.

We take action to empower educators to inspire
learning at all ages.

SCHOOL SUPPORTING
SYSTEM

Rotary Club of Karkala, RI Dist. 3182 has provided Toilet Blocks in FOUR Rural Schools and Computer
Centre in ONE School to benefit approximately 1200 students at a total cost of US $ 59,000 to improve
Health and Hygiene System and Study facilities. The project was supported by RC Johns Town of RI Dist.
7330, USA.

SCHOOL ON WHEELS

Rotary Club of Hanamkonda RI District 3150 with the support of Rotary Club of Fairfield, RI Dist. 7980, USA with an aim of
providing education to children in slums started a school on wheels. More than 1500 children in 21 slums benefitted from this
school till now. The project cost is US $ 25,000.





Rotary Club of Bharuch, Gujarat Embarked
upon to help tribal girls in juvenile homes in
improving their academics and wholistic
development. The percentage of pass was
very low and most of the girls failed to clear
the exams. The Rotarians appointed a team
of 15 teachers to train the girls and more than
60% of the students passed their board exams.
The club is now targetting 100% results.

COMBINATION OF ACTIVITIES FOR MAXIMUM LEARNING
(CAMAL)



Rotary Club of Ankleswar, RI Dist. 3060, Gujarat has identified low level of literacy and high dropouts in tribal villages. To
combat this problem the club has taken an initiative to provide mobile vans to go to village Government Primary Schools
with teachers to impart quality education by means of Audio, Video and various educational games. The club has provided
3 Vans with 21 Teachers covering 60 Schools in 47 Villages. Around 7,000 students, 400 Teachers and 3000 Mothers were
benefitted. Rotary E-Club of South West, USA was the supporting partner for this project costing US $ 40,000



SAVE OUR SCHOOLS



RI Dist. 3150 in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana launched a major initiative to improve
basic infrastructure in Government Schools. Save our Schools initiative is to convert Government
Schools to Happy Schools. The Rotarians of the District are painting school buildings, providing
adequate and separate toilets for boys and girls. They are also providing clean and adequate drinking
water, library, Play ground material and School desks. With the help of several partners from USA,
Italy, Finland and Australia, they have provided more than 100,000 school desks, hundreds of drinking
water facilities and toilets impacting 3 million children costing US $ 3.5 million.

DIGITAL LEARNING

Over 7,000 Rural Children and Adults benefitted from using 1250 Multi Media Knowledge
Develivery (MKD)Tablets. This novel literacy project is being executed by Rotary Club of
Pune North RI Dist. 3131, Maharashtra with the support of e-club of Taiwan at a total cost of
US $ 126,500



ROTARY PUBLIC SCHOOL

Rotary Club of Bareilly South, RI Dist. 3110,
Uttarpradesh has constructed a school benefitting 10
villages. Rotary Clubs of Santa Maria, Simi Valley and
Simi Sunrise of RI Dist. 5340 supported in providing
equipment and teacher training to the school . More
than 250 students benefit every year. The cost of
the project is US $ 270,500.

MEENAKSHIPURAM SCHOOL

Rotary Club of Rajapalayam RI Dist. 3212 with the
support of Dist. 5580, USA has provided Girls Toilets,
Computer Room, Xerox Machine, Laboratory,
Furniture, Library Books and Sports Equipment to the
Village School, benefitting 850 students coming from 22
surrounding villages.

VIDYA DHANAM Rotary Club of Rajapalayam, RI Dist. 3212
is running a Higher Secondary School
providing the latest facilities to the students.
They have spent more than US $
1,200,000 for this project for providing
Computers, Furniture, Library, Smart
Boards, Playing facilities and other
infrastructure with the support of RI Dist.
5580, USA.

VIDYA DEEPAM

The Rotary Club of Bangalore West, RI Dist. 3190, Karnataka
has distributed over 11,000 Solar Panel Lamps to 10th Class
Students in Rural Areas.
More than 40,000 students benefitted from this project.
Rotary Club of Minneapolis RI Dist. 5950 and Rotary Club of
Kearney Dawn, RI Dist. 5630, USA have supported this project.



A JOURNEY OF 1000 STEPS

The Rotary Club of Calcutta Metropolitan, RI
Dist. 3291, West Bengal has over the years
created a learning centre for academic, life skill
and empowerment educational programmes for
girls and woman and provide village rehabilitative
services to change the face of abuse and poverty
of girl and woman.



This journey of thousand steps has involved Rotarians from Districts 3291, 3310,5240, 5300, 5330, 5890, 6540, 6960,
7910, 7980 and 9810. Together they have installed clean water wells and innumerable sanitation units; they have built roads;
planted 10,000+ fruit trees; provided health care and ambulance; offered adult literacy and vocational training programs;
increased the per capita income of families and they have helped people, particularly women to learn to "fish for themselves."
More than 230 students directly benefit from the training centre which is providing employment opportunity to lot of others.

TSUNAMI SCHOOLS

Rotary District 3220 Sri
