MOKING

WELCOME TO CAMP HAUULA 1980!
Two funfilled days and sleepless
nights of shaving cream, water
balloons, and sand...

From May 14 through Mag IB, Seniors left behind the cozy confines
of MHS--along with its worries of homework, papers, and tests--to
attend Senior Camp in Hauula. For some it was an ideal time to relax
with friends and enjoy each other's company. But for others, it was
an opportunity for revenge too good, to be true! With these two basic
attitudes, who could help but have fun?! Of course, shaving cream
dribbled out and water balloons and sand ceased to fly for the annual
Miss Hauula contest. This eagerly anticipated event marked the last
night of camp, but Sr. Camp will always be remembered with reminiscent

laughter and a wistful sigh.

"Our Night”

156

qXADUAJlON u., 30, 1980

“Hook Mom and cDad...I did UH” As we slowly m^de
our way through the Jun-
tor-lined aisles of Dil
lingham Hall, we, the
members of the Class of
1980, were aware that
this night would be our
last time together before
graduation. It was a
special night, our night.
Class Night 19 80 was 'the

night that we relin
quished our senior status
to the Juniors. Through
the solemn beauty of
the traditional candle
lei ceremony, the tran
sition was made.. The
Class of '81 became the
Senior Class of 1981,
as we made our farewells.
There were tears of
happiness and sorrow,
the sound of applause,
and the scent of tuberose.
And through it all, the
Maryknoll flame burned
brightly in every one of
our hearts...as it
always will.

I'he Frosh Senator, DANN । DA\IHS, prisoner of war--released i mined i a I e 1 y upon
capture.

The Soph Senator, 1,12 PllliS’l'l DGli, the all around jock--presently involved in
ar. unbelievable 26 different sports. Too bad she doesn't have time to
play any ol thorn.

The Junior Senator, ANN CHANG, "The unmarricd housewife" before the guys
were running after her, now they're running away from her.

The Senior Senator, MAD1N1: LUM, she finally made it to the top -Jane Fonda,
eat your heart out.

The Treasurer, PAULA WATAMABi:, the filthy rich widow-had to make a hard
decision between her husband and his money. Guess which one?

The Secretary, I.LB SHIMAHUKURO, the L.A. Rams needed to fulfill their minor
ity and height quota so they took on Debi to kill two birds with one
stone.

The Vice 'resident, FRAN CHOW, she's still the same lovable Fran and now
cheering for the Dallas Cowboys except for one BIC difference.

The President, CAROL LAM, she'was born a poor Chinese girl and worked her
way up to the top. Now President of the U.S., here pictured in one

of her better moments.
1 he Senate Advisor, PF.TF.R ESTOMAGO, he's always around when you need him.
