Venice Design
2017

GAA FOUNDATION

I would like to design an interactive alive performance which should inspire and enchant
people.

Experience and interaction are two important elements in our time, is the moment
wherein people feel alive and connected in spite of the chaos of our world full of

inputs and distractions.
The installation will react to thunder, water and natural sound, than to music, the

journey will finish with screaming voice and scary sounds.
The experience is based on simple elements which are universally recognised as

environmental sounds and light effect.
The core is to touch the cords of our instinct.
I’m looking for the roots of the feeling, that one we all will experience in life, fears,

happiness, hanger, goy…
light and sound are pure, able to rouse our spontaneous memory and our instinct.

The floor will be covered by transparent resin’s panels Floor set up
which contain optical fibres. Ideal space 200x300cm

also the floor will eat to sounds by changing colours.

Separé: the space need to be protected,
due to be as dark as possible

and to give privacy for the experience

When possible, the installation include also 4-5 hanging
lamp, with a system already used in the 2016 Venice
Design Expo

BulbKeg

Project: Upcycling waster beer kegs into modern lamps
and pret-a-porter greenhouses
Details: An upcycled beer keg made from PET plastic
which is crafted into a modern lamp for any interior
space. The production process employs various
techniques which gives the lamp a unique texture and
catchy appearance as well as creating an ambient
light. The LED light which is used makes the product
both sustainable and durable as well as cost-saving.
Background: I had wanted to start my own company
which combined my passion for upcycling with my
passion for industrial design and nature. The concept
arose spontaneously when I noticed waste beer kegs in
the rubbish on the street one day. I immediately saw
in this waste plastic a giant light bulb which could be
crafted into various lighting products. This one piece
became the foundation for all of my subsequent
creations for my company “Bulbkeg”.

Title: “GLASSKIN”

Project: Upcycled waste plastic lamp
Details: A spherical classic transparent lamp Led optic which
creates a dazzling striped impression on the surrounding
walls. Again, waste plastic from used beer kegs is up cycled
into a functional and decorative piece. The plastic is treated
in a special way which simulates the texture of glass and
makes the lamp not only surprising but unique.
Background: The first collection of “GLASSKIN” was created for
my first exposition in the GoGallery in Amsterdam as part
of the Amsterdam Light Festival 2014. I was also part of the
festival at the GoGallery in 2015 and expect to continue our
cooperation into the future.
