New Look at Life
acrylic on canvas

2014

“The creative Adult is the child who survived”. Following my dreams of becoming an artist
was not my first choice. It was not even my second or third. I am not qualified to even do so
but life has a way of surprising you. I got to live in Cape Town where I realised that creative
people are everywhere. I got to meet amazing people and learn from them. It was here where
I got to embrace my individuality and experience the beauty this country has to offer. It was
in Cape Town where I got to apply paint to a canvas for the first time. An amazing artist and
a dear friend of mine allowed me to experience the wonders of art. An obsession to express
myself in a creative way was born. It took me a few years to find my style as well as the cour-

age to share my style with the rest of the
world. My love for the facial expressions
and rich skin colours narrowed it down
to a style I like to call “Afri – PopArt”.
Afri-PopArt was born in my studio in
Pretoria when I merged my passion for
the “Rich skin” and my amusement for
the once famous but forgotten Pop Art
style. Hope you enjoy my work as much
as I do…

The paintings of Willy Bihoreau launch
us into post-end-of-the-world industrial
landscapes. His visions, as realistic as
they are horrifying, begin as an assem-
blage of photographic elements which
are then applied to canvas and totally
reworked in acrylic. “The idea is to show
a future in which our civilizations are
but traces, memories of the time when
humanity ceaselessly pillaged, poisoned
and destroyed life and resources. The
point is to participate in the awakening
of consciousness which is imperative for
our future. But perhaps mankind is still
too backward to deserve survival...“

The oil paintings of Jaewoo Park take their source in photographic prepara-

laborious transcription on canvas, doing superposing, waiting for drying and
retouching... The original photographs are taken quickly, without flash, even
at night, giving a character blurry and imprecise, as if they were reflected in
a window or viewed through a steamy glass. Jaewoo Park reproduces scru-
pulously these imprecision in his paintings, which gives an intimate aspect,
fragile, real but sometimes unreal. In contrast to a cold and mechanical hy-
perrealism, his paintings affect us just by their desired imperfections, generat-
ing a huge plastic delight.

The emotional instability of humans is presented

Georgia Szollosi is an airbrush artist and designer, based in London, UK.
Since she established her Airbrush Studio, G-Design in Budapest, 2007,
her work has been featured in leading art and custom painter publica-
tions, as well as shown in many exhibitions around Europe.
“Ever since my earliest days growing up in Hungary I have enjoyed
painting and I love to express my emotions through my art. I have been
a fine artist for the last eight years and have exhibited in both solo and
group shows across Europe. I have sold several pieces which include
paintings, drawings and sculptures, some of these have been commis-
sions from clients within the UK and Europe. Recently I have developed
my technique using the airbrush. I am a multi skilled artist who is not
tied to one media. I choose materials based on their relationship with my
concept and what can be interpreted from such means.”

Invincible; Pressure; Vulnerable; Fragile; Acceptance; and finally
Wisdom and Preparation. David’s current work is focused on a road
trip across the United States and depicts in oil his impressions of the
journey in his precisionist dreamscape style.

by Taita M. Cunha reflecting the Psychology Gestalt that argues
that: “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”, depict a true
challenge of mental flexibility. The multiple optical illusion effects
transport the visual perception towards the fantasy world. It takes
more than a mere glimpse to observe them.

HT Art Magazine Publishing is happy to announce that all our artists, who showcased their

lenges, therefore all of you are ready to enter the London contemporary art scene! Exhibiting
your work in one of the most significant centres of the art world may be the next natural stage
for your career as a fine artist, reaching for a sophisticated and international audience. This

WE CAN SHOW YOUR WORK! “Near, far. Wherever you are...”

For artists, who live on the other side of the Globe or already know that they would face
serious difficulties shipping their artworks to London, we can offer either digital projection
of their artworks in the gallery or if it is a painting, we would gladly create a printed canvas
copy of the work.

My work consists of 143
various materials and
building techniques.
I am fascinated with the
way things are made
in relation to how they
function. I am constantly
excited to learn more
about methods of pro-
ducing form and applying
these methods to the sculptures I create. Organ-
ic structures found in nature and their com-
parison to the industrialized world in which
we live tend to divide my curiosity between
locating their differences, and also finding in-
fluence of natural design in manmade forms
and structures. I currently work for an art and
architectural design studio based in Brooklyn,
New York.

pre-painted

The Athlete Working full-time from his
pre-painted collaged canvas studio in London, Patrick
144x220 cm creates work that studies
2013 the distorted values that
we place on objects, ex-
periences and each other.
The ‘Heads’ are created
using torn up canvas, each
piece representative of a
painterly mark.
During his role as a London Olympic Storytell-
er, Patrick met and painted Oscar Pistorius. The
athlete’s subsequent fall from grace prompted
the artist to reflect upon representatives of mod-
ern society. The size of the pieces pays tribute
to the subject, acting almost as a shrine. But
the intricate and fragile nature of them, with
some pieces often pinned to the wall, suggests
an impermanence. We ask ourselves, how easy
could it be to tear this person apart? The piec-
es touch upon themes of human fragility, our
own morality and the hypothesis that greatness
is ultimately flawed. Patrick exhibits regularly
throughout the capital.
