Anti - Bullying Week

Our kindergartners participated in the Anti Bullying Week.
They took home valuable lessons of love, kindness and compassion which they
learnt through stories, poems and videos.
They participated in the Kindness Chain, a bond of Empathy which unite every
member of the Primus Family.

“Literature is the Immortality of Speech”

The literary week, conducted in the first week of January, was truly a funfilled one for
students at Primus. A lot of planning and hard work of both the students as well as the
teachers contributed to an excellent week. Various linguistics activitieswere held for the
students during that week.Secondary school witnessed some of the beautiful declamations
by our students. The little authors and poets of middle school showed their love for
literature through words in the form of stories and beautifully recited poems.Theyrightly
proved their passion and talent in literature. "TO BE OR NOT TO BE " the amazing stories
of ‘Hamlet’, ‘Learning to be a Lady’,‘Macbeth’ and many more literary characters, cameto
life by our talented actors. The one act plays presented that day were undoubtedly
astounding and all this wouldn’thave been possible without the continuous hard work and
planning of the students and teachers!
Primary school was seen actively participating in various activities too!
The sky is the limit for the little inquisitive minds and hearts. In order to quench the thirst
of literature, Primary school organized activities to encourage students’ understanding and
love for literature, improve written and spoken expression and to inculcate the habit of
reading in the students.
The literary activities/competitions were kaleidoscopic and to make the experience
attractive and enjoyable for the new generation, a series of activities were organized.
It was a week of flurry and excitement, with the children being fruitfully engaged and
getting exposure to literature in different ways to the written and spoken word

PRIMUS MUN : A Stage for all the In-House Diplomats!

Model United Nations has always been the go-to event for anyone who loves public
speaking. At Primus, we have the ultimate stage of MUN for all our students who
love public speaking. Not only does this encourage our students to participate more,
but it also enhances their social skills.

PRIMUS MUN’18 was our second intra-school MUN conference and indeed a
successful one. Whether it’s the Human Rights Council, or the General Assembly 1,
we’ve had them all. This year we focused particularly on sustainable development
and climate change which are the hot topics globally. All of our delegates across the
grades 6-11 had played an active role in the conference. By the look of the heated
debates and Points of Information, there was extremely tough competition for
bagging the “Best Delegate” prize. But in the end, everyone who has participated in
the course of the committee or even sensed growth in their social skills is a winner.

Creating a stage and opportunities for students to showcase their talent and help them
grow remain Primus’ top priority. We hope to look forward to many more MUNs in
the future and reach the heights of public speaking!

Children’s day

Can’t keep calm, because it is children’s day!!!

The buzz was all around the arena, students were quite excited as the day had finally arrived
when they were exempted from all the rules and regulations that were otherwise applied on them
on the ordinary days.

As the students stepped into the school compound, they were summoned to the school
auditorium, for a special assembly on children’s day.

The assembly was organized by the 12th grade children and was taken over by the senior
supervisor who addressed the group on the special day. As her speech unfolded, students came
to know that there was a ‘pandora box’ yet to be opened and the great suspense turned to
overwhelming joy when the students saw the teachers perform specially for them on that day. It
was an unforgettable and jaw-dropping dance performance by the teachers of Primus Private
School.

The amazing performance by teachers was followed by many more foot-tapping dance
performances by the higher grade students. The assembly finally ended with the ever-most

Christmas Fair

If there is no joyous way to give a festive gift, give love away!

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree is the presence of a happy family, all wrapped up in
each other. Primus’s Kindergarten, as one big happy family, organized a colorful and melodious
Christmas celebration. It was a wonderful sight to see students and teachers all dressed in red and
white. The school compound echoed the traditional Christmas carols as little kids displayed their
enthralling performance. Spirit of Christmas was brought to life and everyone enjoyed thoroughly
clicking pictures at Santa’s Grotto and with the snowman. The idea of Christmas-to share and care-
was clearly seen among students as they spread cheer with their smiles and lovely attire. Lots of
game stalls, carols, gifts and the beautiful Christmas decoration all around, drowned everyone in
the happy festive vibes!

I can not count the ways you care for me.
I can never repay you for the love you
share with me. I can never forget how you
help me fight my fears.
I can never forget the sweetness of
your tears. Mommy dear, I want you
to be always near.

OVERNIGHT CAMP

-Rushikesh Sawant, Grade: 6C

A range of other outdoor adventure activities are usually included in the school
education. It is a closely supervised programme which is usually offered to young
teenagers and children aimed at improving the indulgence of students in extra-
curricular activities. Camps disconnect kids from gadgets and internet and compel
them to learn and adjust in a new environment.

At Primus, Overnight camps were conducted for girls and boys separately. We
played, sang, danced and had a lot of fun. We won the Tug of War, Guess what? and
Oasis. After the sumptuous meal, we wore our night dresses and watched movie.
Nobody slept the entire night. I was so delighted the whole time during the camp.

PRIMUS MATH WEEK

“The essence of mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make
complicated things simple”

Primus Private School has organized many innovative educational programs for its
students. One such program was the ‘Math Week’ held in the academic year of 2018-
19. Each class was divided into two teams and each team prepared a project based on
the lesson or concept they were learning. The main aim of the math week was to learn
about mathematical concepts in a playful way. Working together with fellow
classmates was an extremely amazing time for all the students and they equally enjoyed
their time preparing these projects.

Math Week at primary school was also observed with the same enthusiasm and vigour
as they displayed proudly all their projects in the Math Fair. Winners of the Math week
were appreciated and acknowledged by certificates.

School Assembly – an Introduction

School believes that the students should become global citizens while
retaining their traditional values. School assemblies are an excellent resource
for kids to learn more about the school, develop their values, and provide an
exciting venue for them to grow and develop into a valuable member of
society and the outlying community. They will also learn about what their
school stands for and how it can be the stepping stone to some great
opportunities in life. When your whole school is gathered in one space, you
are building culture.

Pulwama Attack

- AdithyaRatheesh, Grade: 6C

As we all know, terrorism is one of the biggest

obstacles to peace in the world. A number of attacks
have taken place, which have not only resulted in
multiple casualties, but also have created tensions
between countries. An example is the Pulwama attack.

On 14th February 2019, a vehicle-borne suicide
bomber rammed a SUV laden with 300-350 kg of
explosives into a convoy of CRPF soldiers, killing him
and 40 soldiers. It was a devastating attack - the worst
carried out against Indian forces in decades and
shocked India and the world. The explosion was so

strong; it could be felt in Srinagar, which is 30 km
away!

Our school, condemning the Pulwama attack,
held a special assembly on the topic and observed one
minute of silence to mourn the loss of the 40 soldiers.
We hope for a world in the future with no such thing
as terrorism.
