LEARNING TOGETHER GROWING TOGETHER

TOLERANCE- FETE

In an era where the electronic media has drawn us closer together into what is called
‘A global society’, its benefits will only be felt when mutual goodness prevails, when
mutual respect and understanding prevail.

Most children with special needs are more like any other normally developing child.
They share the same zest like every other normal child. Understanding these facts,
with our open hands or hearts we invited the students from Sharjah Autism Center,
on the 13th of March.

Our students put up a marvelous stage performance with a choir, dance, a music
show and numerous games, where the children from Sharjah Autism Center and our
students from Primus took part too. Gift were pouring in abundance to make every
winner feel special. Various stalls were put with Games, an art corner, a photo booth,
food stalls etc.

It was a mini carnival with fun and frolic where all the children mingled with each
other, accepting each other with their shortcomings establishing tolerance and
harmony and fostering mutual love and affection for each other.

YEAR OF ZAYED

“The real wealth is hard work that benefits the person and the community. It is immortal
and eternal, and forms the value of the human and the nation”-The Late Sheikh Zayed

Bin Sultan Al Nahyan

The year 2018 was observed as ‘Year of Zayed’ to commemorate the 100 years since birth of
the late sheikh. To pay homage to an inspirational world leader, our school, Primus Private
School, initiated various humble activities.
The school had arranged an iftarmeal for the poor and the needy from labour camps, with
students working together and helping them. Thereafter, the labours were distributed some
household essentials. Special assemblies and school activities were held for appreciating the
year dedicated to His Highness. The international trip held by our school was not only a form
of entertainment, but also a way of spreading the message of the Late Sheikh to other
countries, by the charity drive held in a public school of Sri Lanka. The students of the
public school were provided with stationary, books, and toys sponsored by our school. The
Year or Zayed had been a year to learn, to remember, and to cherish for Primus.

The students of primary welcomed the nannies to the quadrangle on the ‘Appreciation day’.
Every nanny was called on to the stage and thanked for all the support they extend to the
students and staff in the school. They were given a gift and some refreshments as a token of
appreciation bringing a smile on their faces. The students were extremely happy to thank
their nannies. They shared some wonderful words of kindness with the nannies. The day
reminded us of the saying, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
